I was warmly welcomed for my first appointment. My therapist recently moved her practice here from Burlington. Although it's a "mini-commute" to get here to see Cindy, both my fiance and I feel it's worth the drive. While I enjoy a well balanced hour of medium pressure and relaxation, he can't get enough of her deep tissue skills. She is a true testament of why it is called massage THERAPY. As for the facility, it is clean, modern and comfortable. I only wish I could book appointments through an online calendar, just easier with our three busy schedules (hence my 4 stars instead of 5).

Awful appt booking experience. Twice! getting an appointment is like pulling teeth! Once they didn't respond to my voice mail for 4 hours (which VM shouldn't even be the case for a professional service place) and then via online booking..with vague/poor responses not clearly communicating if your booking was a success or not. Don't have time for this...I terminated my membership. It's a shame because some of the therapists were good. Toni-Lee and Andre *were* my favorites.

Attended a "Mens Night" event at the Spa. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The amenities they offered and the skincare and health recommendations made me feel they had my best care at heart. The young staff is very attentive and warm. I had a massage that was incredible and the gentlemen who provided the service was incredible. The rooms and facilities are spotless, their knowledge of product and third party relatonships to enhance the offering is perfect. I will be returning for another massage. I am going for a facial next because they made me feel that it is OK to go beyond just soap and water to care for my health and physical wellness. Love this team.

Went for a Deep Tissue massage and was very happy with everything. Easy parking, very friendly people and very welcoming atmosphere. The deep tissue massage was the best I've ever had and can't wait to go back again. I had back pain and a few days after the massage, my back started to feel much better. Great job! Every time I book a massage therapy treatment at the Oakville Hand & Stone, I have had a wonderful experience. Most recently, I was left in the capable hands of Toni, one of my favourite therapists at this location. She made sure to ask if there were any spots on my back I wanted her to focus on, and she is great at listening to her clients. I recommend this Hand & Stone location to anyone I know looking for high quality massage and facial treatments. I always feel welcomed when I walk through the door, and can't wait to go back.

I have been visiting the Oakville Location for years now. I love the staff and the efficiency within the staff. I enjoy the Dermalogica line and have been very faithful to the line. I love the easy and supportive advice I get from the theoreticians. The only reason i'm rating it 4 because of the increase in the facials from (member only) $79 to $99. It's a big difference. Also, I feel that there should be more customer appreciation deals, as I for one feel that I spend a lot of time and money with the company. Otherwise, I enjoy Hand and Stone and a lot of things that they offer. Keep up the good work!

Edit: since my bad experience a lot has changed so giving this place 5 stars. They seem to have a new booking system plus reception is way more friendlier than my past experiences. Thanks!! Drove 20 mins to only realize I didn't have an appointment in the system. They need to improve the way they take appointment bookings, it's 2019 and they still make bookings over the phone and ask for credit card information to secure the appointment which they then don't book in the first place. I've been to this location before and I wasn't even on the system, wonder what happened with the form I had filled out, with all my personal details. Haven't had a single apology and all I got was are you sure it wasn't the other location and other excuses. Not a good experience and won't be returning even though Cindy is amazing.

After I had a close relative highly recommend Hand and Stone I decided I’d give it a try. I made my appointment earlier this week and clearly stated I am booking a full body prenatal massage. The girl I spoke to on the phone seemed to understand this. She explained to me that a standard massage time is 50 minutes but I can add on 10 minutes intervals. Which I did to bring my massage to a full hour. After arriving at the salon today I was asked to fill out some paper work which I clearly marked off the section that says “pregnant” and it asked me for my due date which I had filled in. Once I had been called in for my appointment I had to remind the RMT that I was pregnant and she looked at me with the most puzzled face and said “well I wish they would have told me because the room isn’t set up properly for a prenatal massage.” I said it’s no worries as she mentioned I can lay on my side while she massages me which I was ok with. During my massage half of my back was massaged only, which I figured is ok and she would get my other side when I turned over? Which never happened... the RMT paid attention to my legs for swelling which I am not exactly sure what she did? No massage other then half of my back and my chest was done during the time I was in there... before I knew it the RMT was telling me my massage was over. As I walked out and paid I realized I was only scheduled for 50 minutes. After I had specifically said 60? I have had better massages over seas at a fraction of the cost and will not be recommending Hand and Stone to anybody and was disappointed in my visit today.

I recently started going to Hand and Stone after several recommendations from family and friends. I've had two massages from Cam, which were by far the best massages I've ever had in my life! If you're looking for a deep tissue massage that focuses on trigger points and a masseuse that puts all his effort into each individual experience, then go to Cam! I've never had a massage like this in my life and it puts all the other ones I've had to shame. He cares so much about all of his clients and treats massage therapy like an art. I highly recommend him! The staff at this location are also all lovely and prices are quite reasonable.

They got me to sign up for a membership and it's been a challenge getting them to stop charging my card. Even after written requests and being assured that the membership will be cancelled I keep seeing them charging my card and insist they do not refund even if you do not use their services.

*Read the reviews before booking an appointment! They have bad reviews on booking an appointment! Booked a week before our appointment. Communications are through email but confirmed it through a phone call with the informations gathered as well as the credit card information. Arrived in the location, and was dissapointed knowing that there was no reservations under our names! We have waited for this day, as it is the only day off for the two of us for this month. This company has totaly ruined our day and schedules. No matter what complimentary service they offer, it wouldnt change the fact that they ruined someone else’s day and that Lisa (who confirmed the “reservation) is unprofessional. Also the last email she sent was deleted on their system/email. Unprofessional. P.s If I could give 0 star, I would.

I went there yesterday for the first time and I was very pleased with the service and the quality of the massage. I am an athlete and only had massages performed by RMTs and Osteopaths before and I can tell that Cam knew what he was doing. I really recommend him!

I went there for the first time yesterday. The place is very nice (decor) and the massage therapist was great. The only thing I didn't quite like was the girl at reception. When I walked in she looked at me but didn't smile once and just asked for my name. Not very friendly and looked annoyed. Even after I finished and came back to pay she wasn't very inviting or friendly and simply processed the transaction. Customer service needs improvement. I'm going to update my review and bring it down to 1 star as I did reach out to the email address provided in the response from the manager and no one ever got back to me. Not good client service.

Called this place in the morning and had an appointment all set for the afternoon. I got super lucky because there was a cancellation with their RMT Cindy. She ended up being incredible!! She found all the areas that needed work and her deep tissue was precise and therapeutic. Felt like a new person walking out! The reception was professional, timely and organized. All Covid screening and precautions were in place. Can’t recommend enough!

I called to book an appointment for facial at Oakville location and thought of checking with them wether or not the esthetician is vaccinated. I was extremely taken aback by their reply as they do not provide such information to the clients. I cancelled my appointment then and there because I feel that's my right of knowing about the person who will be touching my face during facial in an enclosed room. I am highly disappointed.

A short while ago I booked an appointment for a massage with the Oakville location.then thought to ask if the therapists were vaccinated for COVID. She responded that they were not allowed to ask or give out that information. I was surprised and checked the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario website which indicated that a therapist does not have to provide that information, but may disclose that information if they choose. I cancelled the appointment not wanting to spend an hour in an enclosed room with a potentially unvaccinated therapist. I was disappointed that the spa did not really reflect the real rules as they could have in fact given me the name of a vaccinated therapist, if there was one.

We read the reviews and were very excited, but it was an absolute disappointment. Type of Massage: Trigger Point My therapist Toni was excellent, very skilled, very qualified, and definitely recommend. Probably one of the best massage experiences I have had. My wife's therapist was Alexandera. She just slathered oil, applied no pressure, and ended up causing more pain than relieving stress and knots. My wife had a headache the entire day after the treatment, and she had a horrible experience. It was as if the therapist had no interest or skill in providing the massage. Perhaps it was a bad day for her, but we were charged money for the service. We called the spa and complained. Had they offered to compensate us I wouldn't have been as frustrated. My wife and I were extremely exhausted, had lots of knots and were really looking forward to the experience. My experience was amazing, but my wife called it the worst massage she has every had in her life. When we called the spa they said they would charge her the same "introductory" charge and do another massage by charging her. Well, I am sorry but what about the money we already spent and wasted? You should compensate us for that. We booked a week in advance and wanted to cherish this experience together. Due to my wife's experience our entire day was ruined. Thus, due to the quality of service and their response, I would not recommend this spa.

I find it a little stressful going to a new spa because there are so many factors that make it enjoyable, from cleanliness to friendliness; hence I tend to read these reviews to make a decision. So, I wanted to help out others if they are looking for a great place where they can feel totally at ease. This is definitely the place!! It's brand new, so everything is pristine, and the staff are amazing! They are kind, friendly, VERY helpful, and make me feel like they are sincerely dedicated to providing a comfortable experience every time I'm in. I have now been back many times and all have been truly exceptional for me!!!

The massage was very good in terms of technique and pressure but the masseuse sniffled throughout and at times it seemed she was using one hand to blow her nose quietly. What’s worse is she turned down the music so the sniffling was prominent. I couldn’t even try to drown it out mentally. I guess they do allow people to work when they are sick. Not sure I would return. A massage is supposed to be relaxing and soothing. Not irritating.

I have been loyal client at Hand & Stone Oakville for years, referring many friends and family members, and enjoying monthly massages. My last appointment was on April 22, 2021, and I was informed yesterday by Halton Public Health that I was identified as having had high risk exposure to someone with Covid there. While I understand that Covid infections can occur anywhere, I am shocked that Hand and Stone chose not to notify me sooner, when they were aware their staff member was infected, in order to mitigate the risk of me potentially spreading infection to my family members or other associates. Instead they said nothing, just providing my contact information to Public Health, who did not inform me until day 12 of my required 14 day self isolation. This is nothing short of negligence, and I think everyone should be warned of their unsafe practices, and the fact that they were more concerned with protecting their business than the health and safety of their clients. Clearly they cannot be trusted, and I will warn everyone I know not to go back there.

I don't like writing negative reviews but this warrants a warning to others. Don't waste your money here! Massages are ok depending on the RMT and the eyelash extension technician is laughable. They don't have the right materials and when you advise them that they weren't properly put on because the glue felt clumpy and were hurting, they accuse you that it was a sensitivity to the glue and that they can't do anything for you. The owner Leslie is condescending and rude. I had to go to a different location to get them removed and was told by the technician they weren't correctly adhered to my lashes. Avoiding this place from now on, lesson learned.

Staff great but online system for making reservations is frustrating and antiquated. Suggest they look at Pet Smart system where you can look at each groomer's current schedule weeks out and book an available opening.

Didn't get to use them as I tried calling a few times where no one would pick up the phone. I also have left messages to book an appointment with no return of phone call. I then put in a request appointment online with no call back or response to date. A little disappointed because all the other Hand & Stone locations have been so prompt and efficient in booking appointments. (1 star) Update, finally booked an appointment at this location and upgrade it from 1 to 3. PLUS they are the only location that has a maternity pillow. Cons the RM was a little light in pressure even after telling her to apply more, also the session felt short and when i looked at the time from when the treatment started it was short 10 mins (40 mins)

Wednesday October 28th this location was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any hand and stone location. Lisa the manager has avoided dressing this issue with me directly after having her esthetician be sneaky and perform add-on services without informing the client. Was told I would get a call the next morning.... waited, waited. I had to be the one to call H&S only to be put on hold and then be told she "stepped out" for the remainder of the day. I wouldnt recommend this location as the management itself does nothing to keep their staff in order and their clients satisfied.

Had the most wonderful spa day today..Started off with a lovely facial by Amanda. It was extremely relaxing. Amanda is very detailed and provided a great relaxing atmosphere. It was very clean. I throughly enjoyed her magic hands and look forward to returning next month. Once I finished with my facial Amanda guided me to my massage room where she provided me with some water. Then I entered the magical hands of Cindy. She took 15 pda of stress off me and made me feel fantastic. My job is very labor intensive and I am happy to say Cindy relieved my body and lifted my spirits leaving very happy. Amanda and Cindy truly are the dream team. As well Lisa who works the front reception area is a pleasure. She is so calm and takes the time to explain Services throughly. I am so happy I found this place and these ladies are an absolute gem to come and see.

REQUESTED an appointment online but never VERBALLY accepted any appointment. They claimed they had called before but I only had one missed call from them on the same day of my "supposed" appointment only to let me know that they had charged my credit card for the appointment "I missed", but never consented or verbally agreed to. Last I checked you need verbal agreement to an appointment and the clients consent to it. The lady on the phone just kept repeating the same thing and said that there was nothing she could do and denied a refund. Never going back. Just be careful. Would not recommend.

Frequent Flyer: I am surprised to see low ratings for therapist Alexandra. She is one of my Go To people, as well as Toni Lee. Alex is a very thorough RMT, gathering information from the client regarding tense areas, injuries, pressure preference etc. She delivers, hands down, the best neck massage I have ever had... and I have been for therapy monthly for years, on multiple continents. A headache is not uncommon after bodywork, as circulation improves and lymph starts moving around. The hours at H and S are fantastic for busy professionals. The staff are fantastic, attentive and professional. New management in the past two years - and I have personally spoken to one of the owners more than once. Keep up the good work, Alex.
