From the time I make the appointment to the Time I leave I am pampered! Heather was my technician and she is so friendly, thoughtful and professional. I was recommended by a couple girlfriends to go to Jovanna at DermaSpa, and I have to say it was the best experience ever. Previously I had gone to another place for lip filler, and the experience I had with Jovanna doesn't compare. I had stopped getting filler because of how traumatized I was from the application (I was never given numbing cream and it felt like I was just in-and-out with no aftercare instructions) at the previous place I was going to. Jovanna is friendly, kind, and professional. She made me feel comfortable and I instantly trusted her enough to allow her do just do whatever she felt would look good on me. I could instantly feel the difference in how she applied the filler to my lips compared to other places I had been to. She also sent me home with little ice packs, and info on how to care for my lips. She even sent me a follow up message checking in on me! Thank you Jovanna for making my experience so incredible! I am a difficult case in that I have Fibromyalgia and they have a care plan that mitigates my pain levels effectively. I love everything they have done and any issues are quickly dealt with. Decided to try the hydrofacial. I came in with lightly clogged pores and some dry skin on my face. I now have 3 more patches of dry skin and my entire nose covered in dry skin. This is after the two serum samples and the cleansing gel provided and following all the directions on the hand outs,while also staying out of the sun and using organic suscreen. The extractions were actually very little, as the spots I was concered about a had very small change. I had minor foundation, from samples at the mall,on my face and they said it wouldn't be a problem but it was still on my face after the facial and the cleansing gel as I was using white towels to dry my face. Just not really impressed overall at the price for what I got and the samples seem to have harmed than done more than good. I understand that it says 6 or more to see Optimum results, but I don't have 6 months to wait with bad skin. I was better off before I came here.

From my first contact with Shoshana to my consult with Cara to my filler appointment with Nurse Jovanna, I have felt so taken care of. Honestly, I kind of expected the (free) consult to be more of a sales pitch but I was happy to be wrong about that. Cara asked what I was interested in having done and gave me all of the info about Juvederm and Botox, she didn't try to push anything else on me or make me feel like I NEED work done. She was very transparent about pricing (this was not the case with the other clinic I looked at) and when it came time to book, there was zero pressure. The actual procedure with Nurse Jovanna was also fantastic! I've never had anything done to my lips and to say I was nervous would be a huge understatement. The pain was minimal and she's an absolute joy to be around. I got my filler yesterday and she followed up with me this morning (on a Saturday!) to check in and see how it's going. All in all, I am super impressed. If you've been thinking about filler or whatever else, DO IT! Even though I might still look a little crazy from the swelling (which they prepared me for and is totally normal), I'm a lot more confident than I was 24 hours ago! The UNPROFESSIONALISM is beyond anything I have ever experienced from a business!! Let me start off this review by saying up until my phone call that I received today I had had a good experience. I had treatment at this clinic less than a week ago. During my consult I was given a coupon for $50 off to use at my appointment. During my appointment Dr. Hollis advised I should receive less units then had been suggested in my consult. I had no problem with this as I wanted a very natural result. After the treatment was complete I went to pay. I was then informed because I had received less than 15 units the price per unit was $15 instead of $11. Susan then asked the assistant to the doctor for my treatment if I had been informed of that and she said no. She then said she would still charge me the $11 per unit since no one had told me. She then looked over the coupon I had in my file and applied to the payment I paid and left. This afternoon I received a phone call stating they should not have given me the coupon since I did not get enough units and I would need to pay the additional $50. I am APPALLED at the level of unprofessionalism that they would call and ask for payment on a mistake their staff made!!! You would rather lose a client who would potentially spend $100s a year over $50 that was entirely the fault of your front desk staff!! This is the worst customer service I have received from any business!

Had a hydrofacial there yesterday. He result was good- no redness, pain or negative reaction so far. The service and treatment were very good. Elissa was very friendly and helpful. I’m a bit confused why they take before pics and no after photos were taken, she also didnt show me up close what my skin looked like after the treatment, just the dirty water that was apparently my exfoliated skin. Would have been nice to see a comparison or a bright light and up close mirror. Dr Hollis was lovely and very helpful, and took his time to give advice. . Overall a good experience. Quick responses to booking enquires, friendly and professional staff, great results. Derma spa is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which I especially appreciate atm during covid when a lot of other businesses have allowed the stress of current covid protocols and anxiety’s to make them a bit blunt if not rude. I usually request Jovanna as she is my favourite but all of the nurses/practitioners are the best there is and I have found each appointment to be very enjoyable, efficient and personalized, including even the small talk during a procedure; it never feels fake, or forced and my practitioner takes the time to remember little details about my life from past appointments. They make you feel more like a friend than just their 10th appointment of the day and my procedure results have always turned out exactly how I wanted. All in all I can’t find a reason to go anywhere else for my injectables.

I’d reached the point where I could wash and moisturize without actually seeing my face in the mirror. It began with Lianne and the CO2/Pearl resurfacing. Eliminating lines, softening lines, even tightening my jaw line. Amazing!. Also thanks to Etsuko who was there for some of my after treatment care questions. Another thanks to the injectables program with Alex, Paula and Dr. Kailey Winton. This was refining, reshaping (I’ve got cheekbones!), reduction of lines. Again, amazing! Another thanks to your receptionists. Warm, friendly, welcoming but always professional. With everyone, there is attention to detail. Possible side effects, risks are carefully explained and all my questions answered. There is concern for my comfort level. Procedures are done with care, never seeming to be rushed. I didn’t anticipate the effect these treatments would have on my life. I look gorgeous and I feel gorgeous! Okay, maybe I’m turning into a little princess! Came in to have a hydra facial before a trip to have nice glowing skin while on vacation, unfortunately this was not the case. I was told my skin would "purge" right after and be a bit dry and was told to exfoliate 3 days after the treatment. After the first day my skin started to get very dry but I waited until the third day to exfoliate like I was told but it just kept getting worse and worse. My skin after a week was now rashy dry red patches and it started to develop red bumps. After a week and a couple days it was a full blown rash that felt like a very bad sun burn and was extremely painful to touch and quite frankly very embarrassing to leave the house as make-up would not even stick to the red dry patches. At 2 weeks it still didn't go down. I went into the clinic to voice my concerns and broke down because I was so distraught about my skin and the pain. They told me they had never seen anything like this and that since it was over a week from the initial treatment there was no way it could have been from them. They said I must have changed my laundry detergent or another cause not related to the hydra facial but my skin has never done this before or been this bad from anything. I was not offered a reimbursement for the almost $200 facial, instead they told me to go buy a drug store cream to put on as a quick fix that they would pay for but seeing as it was only $5 I didn't see they point in going back. I had an appointment booked for a filler but decided I didn't want to go back to this clinic.

UPDATE: Alex the manager reached out to me to talk about my experience and was very receptive to my feedback. I was never asked to delete or modify this review by dermaspa but I think they deserve the credit for working with me to make things right. I would never recommend Dermaspa for fillers but may consider them for other services in the future. This review is hard for me to write but now that it's been over a year since I had lip fillers I am more at peace with what happened to me and can share my experience. I had fillers in my lips and the process was very fast and everyone was very friendly. My procedure was very fast and I was impressed with the price. My lips however, were lumpy, uneven, and weird. I had to go back twice to have large lumps of product dissolved and by the end of the second time I had had most of the product removed. It was very disheartening to pay for a procedure that I then had to reverse due to circumstances out of my control. I believe my results were due to the injector being rushed and poor technique. I have since gone to the other clinic in town that offers this service for a greater price and have learned that you get what you pay for. My advice to derma spa would be to take more time and care with their patients and to not use paying clients for training their inexperienced injectors.

I have had Botox many times before but I still appreciated how thorough they were, had phone call with medical director for consents where he went over risks (informed consent is so critical!!!!) and also explained how they would deal if things went wrong. They took pictures of my face at all angles so they have it on file and can do their work best, which I’ve never had at a med spa before! Also loved the energy of the two people I interacted with, one did my intake and one did my injections both so sweet, had amazing energy and made me feel super comfortable! Also the chocolate at the end was just icing on a Botox cake! My face is snatched and I’m excited to go back for more Botox, lip fillers and maybe some laser in the future! If I could give a zero I would. I am a psychologist working with youth in Victoria. I just met with a 17 y.o. girl who was given fillers in several areas of her face this past summer by derma spa. She has a mental health disorder called body dysmorphia . She is a perfectly healthy, attractive young woman but Derma spa felt it was appropriate to provide fillers to a minor....truly shocking. I booked an appointment with Dr. Jovanna Butler on May 13th. She was absolutely amazing! If you are thinking of getting any kind of procedure done i would highly recommend Derma Spa. I really wish i had went there first before going through my experience at another clinic. I was really nervous as i went to another provider in March and was over injected with filler in my right cheek. I went to my other provider a few times for follow ups, unfortunately i had lost trust in him as he did not acknowledge his mistake. I was nervous because i had read online that if you are allergic to Bee stings then you can potentially have issues with Hyaluronidase. From the moment i stepped into Derma Spa i felt very welcomed and comfortable. She could even see what i was seeing with my cheek being over filled. She took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions and concerns and was very reassuring. She understood that i have been through so much in the past few months. I was so nervous about having a bad reaction. She took all the necessary precautions before preforming the procedure. I had no reaction and felt instant relief, as my cheek was so overfilled it hurt to even blow my nose. I was so happy to see immediate results. She sent me home with an Arncia cream, Ice packs and chocolates. She even checked in with me the next morning after the injection, to make sure i was doing alright. I have one more follow up with her next Thursday, I'm so happy with the results i cried tears of joy this morning. I will only be going to Derma Spa from now on for my Facial Fillers and Botox. Personally I highly recommend them! Thank you so much!! :)

I was a little nervous about getting “work” done. I had never done anything before and I was apprehensive. Well I am so glad I choose Derma Spa for my first ( and now only ) experience. I booked my first appointment online with the lovely Shoshana, she was so easy to talk to and made me feel instantly more at ease about the process. She booked me in for a consult right away. I’m at home with my baby right now and they where so accommodating letting me bring him in with me ( pre covid ). Consultant was great, very straight up approach and really warm and friendly. I felt informed and I left feeling hopefully that I could actually do something about the signs of aging I was seeing and also give me a boost with my lips ( I’ve always been self conscious about my thin upper lip ). When my appointment came I was a little nervous again but when I got there and dealt with Jovanna all of that disappeared. She is so so caring, professional, knowledgeable and wants to work with you to get the desired affects but also reasonable as to not give you false expectations or hope. She listened to feedback and really gave me what I was desiring. She took her time to go through everything and explain. I never felt in the dark or confused. This is the second clinic I visited for Botox. I was unsure the procedure was right for me - I had gone to a different clinic previously, but didn't get the results I was expecting, so, I was already skeptical. I found that Derma Spa gave you enough time for your consultation so you didn't feel rushed, all questions were answered, and everything was explained in detail. Then, you see the doctor to go over the risks and results, and then straight to the lovely injector. I had Nurse Jovana - she is so lovely and funny - so funny ????. I went in wanting to work on my acne scars and it really made a big difference there (results were noticeable even after the second session), and it made my skin a lot more even and firmer! In my younger years, I went to Derma Spa for preventative treatments including microdermabrasion, IPL treatments, and laser treatments for varicose veins that developed while I was pregnant. With each experience I left the spa feeling incredible and pampered. I truly felt my time and money were well spent in the care of such educated, observant, and well trained individuals. Over the last ten years I moved on to compliment my natural aesthetics with various enhancements including botox and fillers. In the beginning I had the immense pleasure of having Paula as my injector, and for anyone who knows Paula, knows that her expert touch was exceptional. I was a bit nervous at the time about the procedures, but her explanation of the ingredients and how they work in the body left me feeling more confident about my decision. I always left feeling radiant and looked rejuvenated rather than plastic and overfilled. After Paula moved on to a different position, I searched for the same type of collaborative relationship at several other clinics but just never felt quite as comfortable. After a two year hiatus from any treaments, I reached out again to Derma Spa and discovered the most magnificent nurse, Jovanna, who took my under her wing. She appreciated and respected my apprehension in trusting a stranger and treated me with the utmost dignity. At the time my main “concern” was how with age one of my eyebrows and eyelids had drooped more than the other leaving me with very different eye shapes. I felt a bit self-conscious about this and found myself hiding behind glasses. In addition, my intense weight training helped develop some pretty impressive muscles between my eyebrows. With her expert hand and the magic of botox, both concerns have disappeared. I now feel free to wear contacts with abandon and push a little harder during training since I no longer worry about developing a mean ogre expression. In addition, the last ten years of being alive has equipped me with an awesome anxiety disorder. Anyone in any industry will tell you working with someone with high anxiety can be exhausting. Not with Jovanna though! I peppered her with at least a thousand questions regarding potential hazards, outcomes, long term consequences, hypothetical scenarios and what she would do to address each one in minute detail. Every time… and I am not kidding nor exaggerating, every time, Jovanna answered my questions. She is a true professional because even I felt exhausted by my self, however, not a hint of exasperation shadowed over her. Additionally, her knowledge of medical aesthetics far surpassed my expectations. She is knowledgeable about existing aesthetic treatments, as well as experimental ones and understands the pros and cons of each. I felt confident she understood how to make my face more symmetrical, what would work for my face, and the look I was hoping for. She treated me like a masterpiece that just needed a tweak here and there to pull it all together. When I expressed an interest to have filler put into an area she knew would not work, she told me so and provided an explanation as to why. While in Jovanna’s care, I always felt my health and safety was her first priority. I cannot express how lucky I feel to have found her and look forward to a long term alliance. Also, the staff and physicians at Derma are incredibly respectful, gentle, and compassionate. As with any investment, do your homework, but know you will be in good hands here. They stand by what they do.

Afterwards, I had no signs of having had any treatment to my skin. No redness, no tightness...nothing. For all I know, I had moisturizer applied to my skin. For $130, I expected more.

First, the consultation was fantastic, never had that performed so effectively and very professional. The best part was it was informative but not pushy at all to purchase more products or services. It was so comfortable and I barely felt a thing with the numbing + icing (and ive had pain going elsewhere). Prior to discovering Derma Spa, I went through a gnarly experience somewhere else where I got a bump and had to get it and the rest of my top lip dissolved... I came to Jovanna with uneven lips and a line left over from where a bump was dissolved and she did a PERFECT job making them even and smooth again.
