I forgot to give an review months ago, but an great place with great workers, i went for dying my hair and it turned out amazing. It turned out amazing even through it was from someone who was in training. I'm going to go here when ever i need or want to redye my hair.

Used to come here when I cut my hair. Very nice location uptown with parking. Extremely friendly staff who helped show me how to take care of my hair properly while trying to grow it longer. The place is fairly clean and has a very nice aroma to it despite all the hair products

My daughter got a trim of her straight long hair and it cost $82. No layers - just a straight trim. That seems like a crazy price for such a simple cut.

I went to PH8 for a simple trim, and ended up with an absolute mess of a haircut- all are wildly different lengths, with the shortest at the front (she has cut my front bangs pixie-length) and left long unruly thick clumps of hair at the back. She also cut off a full inch of hair even though I had requested a simple trim- instead she gave me a haircut, and a bad one at that. It it will take at least half a year to undo the damage that Hailey has done to my hair after months of purposefully growing it out. I almost feel like the haircut she gave me is a mockery of what I asked for as it is the complete opposite. Naturally I will be asking for a refund but more importantly, BEWARE of this salon and one stylist in particular, Bailey!

The stylist coloured over my highlights thinking when I booked the appt for a root touch up and even told her twice that I just wanted root touch up the same colour as my base colour. She coloured over my highlights and then she charged me twice for a haircut. They offered to get it redone by that same so-called 'Master Stylist'. I refused as and then would not refund me for the botched hair colour. They said they would email me the refund for double haircut charge but then never did even after I called them to remind them twice. I was referred to this place...do not intend to go there ever again. The manager even tried to make me seem like I didn't communicate well with the stylist and tried to cover for that absent-minded "master" stylist.

Of all my experiences with varying services provided in Yellowknife, PH8 Beauty Boutique places number one (#1) on my list. Staff are professional, skillful, knowledgeable, inviting, cheerful, patient and helpful. And I've always received a service with a smile. I also like that they have a two-tiered organizational structure of estheticians (i.e. junior and senior).
