I had two daily deals that I paid $275 each for and they had no expiry date on them so I took my time with using them. When I went this week with my friend to use them, the owner said it was too late and he wouldn't accept them. Didn't seem right to me since there's no expiry date on them, but he was adamant that it was too late, so I said fine, I'll just use the value of what I paid toward services since it says right on the vouchers "Amount paid will NEVER EXPIRE" (in caps, just like that). He told me that no, they were worthless now and could not be used towards services anymore at all. I couldn't believe it... I was showing him that there was no expiry date and that it said right on them that the amount paid would never expire, but he absolutely refused. What kind of customer service is that? The business got the money from the daily deal site and won't give me anything in return for it. What a scam! Unbelievable that someone can run a business like that.

I've been going to Moji to get my hair done about 7-8 years or so! Over that period of time she's been able to color my all kinds of shades of blonde I've asked for, (even went brunette once) and I've always been happy with the result. I also get my hair cut by her, and she always does a great job whether I be going for front bangs, side bangs, fresh layers. or just an allover trim. When I was in high school, she styled my hair for special events like winter formal (where I was actually voted best hair!) and my graduation banquet - the hairstyles were really beautiful and lasted all night. I also recently tried the foot reflexology and 1-hour massage services, which were overall a fantastic experience, especially surrounded by the beautiful Paris-inspired decor. Every time I'm there I'm already looking forward to coming back.

I went in for threading my eyebrows my first time and I went in a second time for my chin and eye brows again. I didn't know they offered laser treatment for unwanted hair so I ended up getting my upper lip done as well. I would say that their service wasn't too bad. I also left my sunglasses the night before and I left a message regarding it. They were able to return my call within' two hours of me leaving a message. I would come here again and recommend their services.

Great Spa atmosphere in a boutique environment. Felt very welcomed as soon as I came in. I recognized some of the staff from Spa Utopia which was very warming knowing I wasn't paying Spa Utopia prices. I received their Laser treatment and have had better success with 2 treatments then with 8 from another spa. They Seem to use top of the line products and equipment which really show in the outcome. I have been getting laser hair removal done at Deja Vu Spa and it has been fantastic! They are super friendly, clean and try to distract you with fun conversation as they zap away haha! Sometimes difficult to get through on the phone but not a big deal, you just have to call a couple times. Easy to get to from the sea bus terminal, only about a minute walk or there is easy to find parking near by if you drive, bonus :)

Definitely the best prices for Laser hair removal in the lower mainland. So far I’m halfway through my treatment and I’m so happy with the results. I was super nervous for my first treatment but they were very nice and did a great job of distracting me and answering all my questions about the process. And on top of that the sessions go by so fast. If you’ve had a wax you will have no problem with the laser!

Most of the staff is excellent and welcoming and it pains me to write this, but their lazer hair-removal service provides misinformation. I did an entire year of treatments, and have not the results I was promised. The technician kept changing, and the last technician who did the last two treatments was abrupt and unfriendly. There is also misinformation - the technicians there told me that I had to shave the treatment area in between treatments to make the hair thicker and the treatment more effective. They told me that my treatments were less effective because I wasn't doing this. A quick search online will tell you from reputable sources that it is a biological impossibility that shaving makes the hair grow thicker. The correct treatment is to shave the night before treatment so that the hair is cut flat against the skin creating a larger surface to take the energy from the lazer treatment down to the hair follicle.

Wasn't too pleased.it took two weeks just to use a groupon my girlfriend got us.they set our appointment for 10am. we arrive 20min early to feel out the form before our massage only to arrive and realize the salon didnt even open untill 10am. They should have been more organized and set our appointment for at least 1030 after they set up the salon. Then once the doors opened at about 10:05 they gave us luke warm tubs to put our feet in and left us for like 15 min.the water became cold within 5min. Then the foot rub was only about 10min long which I found quite short considering the advertisement was said to be 30 reflexology. Over all it was quite disappointing.

AVOID!!! -They BURNED my skin completely off and gave me blisters twice after i told them they were burning me. They blamed me for not making them change the level when they are the technicians! how would i know? - They verbally Harassed me about writing a review on them on yelp. They threatened me with "how do you expect to get good service now" right before they burned me again. The owner kept me after my last session to say mean things to me because i complained about them burning my skin. -They lied to me!! I paid one year unlimited laser and they lied telling me its only 6 sessions maximum and they kept my money. Beware they really are not an ethical and professional business. They've been burning many people recently- my grandma and aunt had tried here as well with the same experience.

I am absolutely thrilled with my experience and the service at Deja Vu Laser. I've had laser treatments before at other places, and this experience exceeds my expectations. The price they offer is lower than I've ever paid (by far) but the results are better than I've had! I don't even really understand, they must have better equipment or are just better people - small business tend to have more heart and lead with their reputation. I felt safe, welcome, it was clean and calm, friendly, and the laser service worked!!! I've only had two sessions and don't even know if I will need more, and the package is for a year unlimited.

I went there to redeem my 1 year laser voucher. After 8 visits (maximum number of visit in a year), the result was ~40% hair permanently removed. They claimed that this low result is not the case for most clients. The staffs were friendly but very busy. Everytime I have to wait for 20-30 minutes. Because their schedule is so packed, they can't spend a lot of time on one patient. The way they keep track of appointments was to write in a calendar book and it was quite unorganized. I went there once and they forgot to mark down my appointment so I can either wait for 2 hours or come back another time. Overall, the price was attractive and the location is great but I regret about this purchase. I wish I went to somewhere with more professional services.

I had a terrible experience with this spa. I bought a voucher from living social for a massage and called several days before its expiration to make an appointment. They told me that they were too busy to make an appointment before the voucher expired but that I could have an appointment the following week. When I made that appointment, they told me that the voucher had now expired and that I would have to pay full price for the service. They were dishonest in their representation and unpleasant to deal with. I will never go there.

I've been going to Moji off an on for years. I have blond eye lashes and I don't tint them that often but when I do, Moji is the best. Her prices and service are great! Last time I went and took my 13 year old to have her eye brows waxed. Moji took the time to ask her how she liked the shape and made her feel very relaxed. When she was done, Brooke was thrilled and began to rave about how Moji has this special wax that sticks to the hair and not the skin and how it didn't even hurt! Now she doesn't want to go anywhere else.

Stay away from this laser shop! I had many laser treatments done before in other places but never had such a bad experience.They are not professional , Moji , the owner doesn’t know what she is doing , she just glides the machine over the skin with out exposing and skip most of the areas and when their treatment didn’t work n I asked for the rest of my money back because it doesn't work , her husband yelled at me n they refused to refund the rest of my money, I paid $917, waste of money, such a disappointment

When I first came across a groupon for laser at Spa Deja Vu, I have to admit I was a bit sceptical. The price was almost too good to be true but then I spoke with a friend who had been going for almost a year and she had nothing but positive reviews for the place. So I took a chance and went. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I made, my hair is drastically reduced if not all gone from the areas I have had laser and my skin is looking much better now too without all the constant in-growns I suffered with when waxing. Moji is great and extremely attentive when it comes to my sensitive skin and my sensitive threshold to pain, she is constantly placing an ice pack on the most sensitive areas before she zaps the hair away (believe me this helps a great deal and I know places that charge way more and don’t take the time to provide such considerate service). Not to mention Moji is wonderful at making you feel comfortable and helping to answer any and all questions you may have. Whenever possible, try booking your appointment with her! All in all, I’ve had nothing but a great experience every time I go in, and yes you do have to wait 15 mins or so every time but honestly-what place have you ever been where you don’t.

I recommend this place and their groupons are really good deal and they worked just fine. It depends on your skin type how well they work. But overall, good service. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of their appointmenting. They could do every 6 weeks for laser but they do every 8 weeks which means less sessions in a year.

This place is a scam. Bought a Groupon for a 90 min treatment. When I booked my appointment I asked for a female to do the massage. When I arrived I was greet by a male who advised me he was doing my massage. When I talked to the manager, she said there was no note about this. They cancelled my appointment, and when you call back you get an answering machine. No one has ever returned my calls and seems they just wanted the money. Sad that a business is run in such a manner. Stay away and save your money..

I bought a groupon to do laser hair removal on my back and shoulders, and am honestly confused by all the bad reviews people are posting. I met the owners the first day I got my treatment, and they are both professional, lovely people. The staff are very professional as well and the store itself is incredibly clean, with a nice atmosphere. Before and after my first treatment, I was educated on how to take care of my skin and that really made me feel safe and informed about the whole process. These guys know what they are doing, and both my girlfriend and I are quite happy with them. Will definitely be back for more treatments! I'm already seeing great results, and this has definitely improved my quality of life :)

Moji made me feel so comfortable and at ease, talked with me through the entire session so it took my mind off the laser. It’s very quick and yes it does hurt it doesn’t last just a quick pain in some areas. I have had 4 sessions now and notice a HUGE difference. My hair barley grows back and not even done all 6! Totally worth it and glad I started doing it!

This place is kind of unreal to me. I bought their groupon for a year of laser hair removal. The staff were very kind and helpful, though clearly not terribly knowledgeable about their own equipment. But they use a Cutera laser, so I figured if they can point and shoot, we'll be okay. I don't know if they changed their process for promotional customers, but I received Extraordinarily poor quality treatments - it would be laughably bad if it hadn't, you know, happened. I've had laser hair removal at Arbutus Laser (amazing), and one time at SKN in Yaletown (also great). SKN uses the same laser as Deja Vu, and my results there were great (I have ideal skin/hair pigmentation for laser). I went twice to Deja Vu and had the same experience with two different technicians. First, it hurt maybe 1/10th as much as it should. I barely felt it - a bad sign. Then, they moved the wand around randomly. The technician did some areas many times, and missed others completely. Both techs moved the wand at a speed that meant they missed sections in between 'zaps.' After a week or so (when the zapped hairs have fallen out), I just had noticeably large patches of completely unaffected hair. The second time, I had literal strips of hair going vertically down my body along with other random patches missed. Hair-zebra wasn't my intended look. According to my experience with Arbutus (rated best in the city over and over) and SKN (same laser as Deja Vu), the point is that laser only affects the follicle at a certain growing stage, so it's important to zap every hair every time to make the timing of the appointments coincide with that stage of hair growth as much as possible. When I complained to Deja Vu, I was told missing whole areas was normal and that they would inevitably get them in a future session (despite the obviously random method being used by the technicians and the fact that my hair has grown back in by the time they see me again, so there's no way to ensure that). I asked for my money back and got a lecture about having paid a promotional price and expecting too much. I feel bad asking for my money back after going twice, but it was literally a useless service (patchy hair is worse than just regular hair!) by a company that doesn't know what they're doing. I had to fork out the money to go back to Arbutus in the end anyway, so the groupon was a complete waste of money.

The owner of Spa Deja Vu is absolutely amazing! I have had laser elsewhere and it was incredibly painful and ineffective. Here she used aloe vera gel and an ice pack and there was no pain what so ever not to mention I am on my third treatment and the areas being lasered are virtually naked. I have no doubt that by treatment number six which is what is included with my groupon I will be completely bare. I also had an emergency and had to reschedule an appointment 2 hours before it occurred and the salon had no problem with that which was just fantastic. I honestly could not be happier with my experiences with both the owner and the salon itself and I would recommend them to everybody.

I would not recommend this spa. I had laser hair removal done through Groupon and the laser technician was friendly and seemed to know what she was doing. However, after the first appointment, it was impossible to get an appointment on the weekend. As someone with a full time job, this was incredibly inconvenient. They did not mention that they would refuse to book Saturday appointments prior to me paying the full amount for the 6 treatments up front after the first appointment. So it seems like once they have your money, they don't care about whether you continue to go to the rest of your appointments or not. I also had to change one of my appointment dates and it took 10 phone calls over the span of 3 hours for someone the answer the phone. When the receptionist did pick up the phone, instead of mentioning that they were very busy or anything, he rudely said that he had "other customers to take care of".
