Lobby was clean and beautiful, staff are incredible, and our room was entirely serviceable and very clean. The cleaning staff were kind and friendly each day, we had lots of space to enjoy and work. The site has guest laundry and a ton of facilities to use. Located beside a beautiful golf course, beside the roadway and the Trans Canada Trail! Is the building dated? yes. If our room was renovated they need to ask for their money back from the contractors as they do not know how to do their jobs. However the rooms are cozy and nice. Thank you for everything during our stay!

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights here. Our room had a beautiful fireplace which was supplied with enough wood to last us the entire stay, with the fire going the whole time - this was a nice treat for us. The Jacuzzi tub was amazing, must have spent at least an hour in the bath both nights. Good pressure on the jets soothed away the physical stresses of the past month. The TV was a bit dated with moderate picture quality while watching the channels, we however brought a console from home and watched some movies. Great Picture quality as a result. The Bath paired with movies by a fire after made for a very relaxing night. The next morning I could sit outside on the deck and have my coffee in the crisp morning air then come back inside to that wonderful wood heat. I really appreciated that there was always someone at the front desk who was happy to help and there if we needed anything. The staff we met were so friendly and gave clear directions on how to find our room. They seemed genuinely happy to see us which made the whole interaction a pleasant one. A big thank you to the woman who helped us get settled into our room, she was amazing. Though the rooms with a fireplace and jacuzzi are a bit more expensive, its still a very reasonable price and it would be my choice on our next visit. Spend a few more bucks and treat yourself to a truly wonderful stay.

Fireplace not clean, smell of burnt wood in the room.desk chair heavily damaged. plugs did not all work others. halls not clean, lobby outdated, dark, smell. seemed people smoked inside. not clean outside. Restaurant closed website said open.

I was very disapointed on my visit to pinewood .The room was not as clean as the last time i stayed The room smelled of smoke the law is 9 meters from the building then why put ash trays on the balcony The balcony skreen did not work The resteraunt wasent open . AT98.00dollars thats not worth it . Ihave stayed at pinewood for twenty years but this is the last time ...

The staff was amazing. The rooms were clean and had fresh linen. They’re doing renovations which is awesome ! The third floor is done and looks great. The restaurant is opening now as well. I think they are improving from before. I would recommend to stay here 10/10

Won't be staying here again. Cleaning staff don't wash walls. Black mold in shower, icy walkway that resulted in some minor injuries, and lack of maintenance on the site are primarily why. Staff were friendly on the plus side.

We checked out in the morning to go home . We had to come back for another stay the next night. We were given the same rooms NOT CLEANED. Still waiting on a promised deposit from two managers. I was not aware you had to go to the front desk at check out for MY deposit. Dirty dirty hotel. Message me for pictures I will be glad to share. My last review was deleted

We got the king suite with jacuzzi amd it was amazing. Clean, relaxing, very spacious, separate make up vanity/sink outside of bathroom, desk, fridge, microwave, etc. Did not try the dining area but the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, it was an okay stay. The hotel needs a lot of TLC and updating. The room was clean and comfortable. Could use a fresh coat of paint and updated furniture. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were awesome. The bathroom was clean but there was rust and mould in the caulking around the tub. The hotel hallway had a strong marijuana smell and it did seem to seep into the room. The only other downside was that there was no one at the check in desk when we arrived. Waited for about 10 min before anyone showed up to the check in desk.

We had come to the hotel for a family get together and had a great experience there. Staff were very polite and accommodating. Our room was clean. The food was good and the head chef and team was very accommodating with alternative food choices for my nephew who had a dairy allergy.

So a few weeks ago my friends and I stayed at the resort , in Oct/21. We really had a lovely time there. For the cost this was a really good deal. As the hotel was not busy, we were able to spend time with the new owner who is a very dynamic and positive individual with some solid business sense. I learnt that the hotel was placed in Bankruptcy after the previous owner walked away, held by the bank and the new owner is now working very hard to bring it back. (I laughed at reviews that state " the hotel was better before the new owner took over!!!" Renovations will take time but Im sure that he will succeed and I wish him well. I found our rooms to be fresh and clean. The golf course was challenging enough and enjoyable. The staff went out of their way to make us a decent breakfast and lunch. I certainly didn't feel it was greasy and at this point accept that its a cafeteria. Im sure that the higher end restaurant will eventually participate as the recovery progresses. We knew what we were getting and were pleasantly surprised. This isn't Vegas folks!!! We shall return for sure and see no reason why. The folks in North Bay , the business council should be thanking this new owner for working to improve this facility after its profound neglect.

The Room was very dated... I can work with that. My towels were dirty. I was given no toilet paper for my room.. even when I called down to get some still took them almost an hour to get it to me. The bathroom was covered in a man's beard hair.. quite gross. Cigarette butts left in ashtray I don't smoke!! At all! I would totally avoid... but if you are there check out Terry's Place for breakfast!!

I don't usually give really poor ratings for hotels but clearly the owners of this hotel are relying on days gone by. This was probably an amazing hotel in the day but now no. I stayed on the first floor the patio doors don't lock and when I tried to change my room I was given a bit of attitude and didn't bother. The sink in the bathroom doesn't drain, the air-conditioned severely noisy and never shuts off. I didn't feel secure. Stains on the ceiling clearly upgrading and updating needs to happen. If the golf course is like the hotel it's probably not well maintained either. The one positive thing is the lady at the front desk when I was checking out was really nice.

Room smelt of previous occupants, pools green. Dated. Needs alot of tlc, maintenance and repairs are laughable and needs some management.

It Shaz so much potential

Minute I walked it the room, there was an awful smell and carpet was stained. Rooms are super dated. Lock on patio door did not work. Patio was very poor looking. Paint stains on the floor on the bathroom tile, shower grout was flaking. Lighting was brutal. Bed however was comfortable. After killing about 30 mosquitos that appeared out of no where, had a comfortable sleep. Great parking. No complimentary breakfast or coffee bar.

My family and I stayed here this weekend and it was great! I highly recommend it. The hotel is under new management and I can see that they are making every effort to update the space. It's currently being renovated which didn't affect our stay at all. We stayed in one of the already renovated rooms and it was very clean and sanitized. Everything from the bed sheets to the towels were fresh and clean. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the restaurant on the main floor and Tracy our server was a wonderful host at every visit. Food was perfect each time! All the staff from the front desk, to the manager Ravi as well as the housekeeper were friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be returning again in the Summer to check out their golf course and the beach in the area.
