For the price, I thought I would be getting a five-star experience. I even paid extra for an aromatherapy massage, which I thought would mean breathing in wonderful scents, but it basically just meant my masseuse put a drop of scented oil in the lotion he used. My massage therapist had a very lazy technique... There was a lot of press and hold, press and hold, press and hold. I feel like he was just trying to press and hold until the 50 minutes were up. The locker room was also a problem... disgusting. I had to wipe urine off the toilet seat before using it (all of the toilets looked this way). The floor was soaking wet. So gross. There was no private area to change either. I went out to talk to the front desk to let them know that the locker room was not in a reasonable condition, and that I would be changing in my room. They allowed me to change in my room but they did not want to hear the details of the problems in the locker room. In fact, I tried to tell them twice and they cut me off each time. It was very rude. Overall, bad service. I actually left feeling more tense than when I arrived. It’s a shame, because the hotel is really nice.

Not impressed that one week later I still don't have the receipt for our massages. Otherwise, I really enjoy the place. The massage was great, facilities are nice & restaurant is excellent. Customer service is what I'm rating the 2 stars on, called to inquire about my receipt and still waiting.

Great experience! It was relaxing and professional. Only downfall I would say was the fact that we didn’t have access to the change room and had to bring all our stuff into the massage room. Can’t fault the spa though as this was a result of the pandemic. Overall great experience. Would like to come back for an overnight stay + treatments.

Overall our experience was subpar. We have been to several day spas and this was definitely overrated. The massage portion was excellent and was the highlight as it should be. Few suggestions on how to improve the overall experience: 1. Start with a brief tour. The receptionist was more concerned with getting back to her phone than providing any details. 2. No amenities in the bathroom. Day spas should have supplies to bath, shave, product for hair, etc. 3. Sauna faces the urinals. Uhh enough said 4. Eating in the waiting room. Supposed to be relaxing not listening to someone eat If your looking for a quick massage and not a place to relax for the day then perfect. If not, I would suggest another location.

Come here a few times a year and love it! The spa is amazing.

Staff goes above and beyond. Very good massages and clean facilities. Please note a robe, slippers and sandals are provided free of charge for the day use. The locker is a bit small so try not to take a big bag!

Loved it! For a girls weekend was perfect. The body wrap makes your skin feel like butter! They almost charged us for the body wrap twice but it was probably an oversight but thankfully one of my other friends caught that. Other than that best girls weekend ever!

I received a reflexology massage, which was good. When I checked in, I requested an insurance claim form and was told that it would be provided once the treatment was over. However, when I was making payment, the cashier told me that there was a mix up and that the claim form would be emailed to me. The treatment was on July 2nd. I still haven't received the form. I followed up with an email and got no response. Disappointing service.

Beautiful spa and relaxing atmosphere. Never disappointed with any service I have had. The staff is so nice and always making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. Love that you get full use of the amenities with a spa service. Hot springs is a must!!!

My husband and I got a day pass for the spa on a Monday so we could relax while the in-laws watched our daughter. The indoor pool and hot tub are quite nice - high ceilings with lots of light, lounge space, and complementary tea. The dry sauna was off the pool and was co-ed. I didn't use the wet sauna but they were off the downstairs locker rooms. The outdoor pool area was also quite nice. Lots of lounge chairs and tables in both sun and shade. When it rained they closed the hot spring so we missed it. Lunch at the lounge was tasty and reasonably priced. The decor was pretty with lots of flowers but did have a weird colonial theme happening... I was able to use my breast pump in the downstairs locker room by the hair dryer. We had a nice day.

My husband and I visited the 100 Fountain Spa at the Pillar and Post hotel for the first time today. I’ve been to numerous spas in many countries and if this is the best spa that Niagara-on-the-Lake has to offer, then that’s a shame. If this place was your first spa experience, you might like it. But if you’ve ever been to a real spa, you’ll know right away this isn’t a great place worth revisiting. The check in process was fine, but as soon as we went down the stairs we could see that the spa was very busy. The ladies change room is extremely small, (which they do mention on their website). The worst part is that there was only one bench for anyone to put their items on. When I arrived to get changed there were about eight other ladies in there who were finishing up and had their stuff everywhere, leaving me with nowhere besides my locker to put anything while I changed. The robe I was provided was missing one of the side loops (it was ripped off) so my sash was constantly on the floor getting wet especially when I had it hung up on the hooks at the hot springs (pooling water on the floor). There was also a very large stain on the arm. Speaking of hot springs, their “hot springs” is just a large hot tub surrounded by greenery. It is in no way a hot springs. Also, the water feature wasn’t on the first time we went into the hot springs, but the second time we went in about 1.5 hour later it was on, but wasn’t very useful. The dry sauna, while nice and large, had a used band aid on the floor. It was there the first time we used the sauna as well as the second time. Which tells me staff don’t pop their heads in during the day to make sure the area is clean. Another issue is that the dry sauna and indoor pool/hot tub were upstairs. So you had to walk upstairs battling traffic both ways to go from those areas to the lounge or treatment rooms. The indoor pool and hot tub were fine, standard pool and hot tub. The steam rooms were located in the change rooms. There were no hooks outside of the steam room for your robe, but luckily the showers were right beside the steam room so everyone used those hooks. Not so good if someone needed the shower though since all the hooks were used by the people using the steam room. The women’s steam room door had instructions on how to push the button and that the room could take about 10 minutes to steam up. In the men’s change room however, no such sign was provided and my husband mentioned to me that the steam room smelled like a hockey dressing room. The relaxation room was lacking the quiet aura of a relaxation room. We stopped by there on three occasions and only were able to find seats once. Plus the fresh fruit that was provided was only apples that had seen better days. My reflexology was the best part of the experience. My husband had a massage, and mentioned it was in no way a great massage - especially when you’re paying for an RMT. The spa does provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers as well as q-tips, hair dryer and little bags for your swimsuit. But no deodorant or hair product. Overall, while some portions of the spa were nice, it isn’t worth the money, especially when the spa is that over-crowded and noisy. The atmosphere isn’t conducive to relaxation.

I went for one day and got the $35 day pass. It was worthy! You have access to all the facilities (hot tub, hot springs, sauna) and you can stay as long as you want. It also includes towel service and sandals. If you want, you could book a massage but there is a waitlist. The staff was really nice and kind. This is the best spa at a really affordable price!

Great messages. Hot spring was cool, but a little small. Very good experience.

Quite disappointed as I was here a few years back for a couples massage and the experience was better. The place is starting to fall into disrepair. When I checked in and the reception staff gave me a form to fill out, after I finished it instead of them sending me off to the spa to get my locker card, he served the next guest who showed up after me so I was standing there waiting. Then when I got downstairs to the next reception desk, the people who were behind me were ahead of me! This is customer service 101! I went to the hot springs first as I got there early to enjoy the amenities before my body wrap. The hot springs clock was broken so I couldn't keep track of when I needed to get out before getting overheated, the water was full of leaves and clearly hadn't been cleaned out for hours. There was gritty sand at the bottom of the pool. I also used the steam room which smelled like mold or something off. Then I used the salt water pool and hot tub which were nice just a little busy but it is the Canada Day long weekend so it's expected. The hot sauna was very nice. I went to the spa lounge to get a glass of water and saw all they had was disposable cups which aren't recycleable. I asked reception if I could have a real mug to make an herbal tea and she said she didn't have any but could go find one for me and then she offered me her own personal mug that she said was washed and she didn't need at the moment! I was so shocked that she did that I took it but noticed it was stained and not so clean. Really this is a safety hazard. She should have offered to go get a mug for me from the bar/restaurant. The body wrap treatment was nice, the therapist Maria was great and very friendly. However, the menu said I got a thermal mud and this was not provided. Also I had to rinse my scrub off in the dark as the lightbulb was out in the shower. If it wasn't for Maria I wouldn't have known that my treatment included access to the facilities for the whole day and I can even leave and come back! This is something that should have been clearly explained by reception but obviously they don't want to encourage this. I was expecting 5 star service for the price of $180 for a 1 hour treatment. They also don't use organic and natural products in the spa. Sadly I won't be returning.

Husband and I absolutely loved our stay! Incredible massages. Loved our room and fantastic service!

Facial was nice and the esthetician was very sweet and a wealth of knowledge But the manicure I got was honestly the most painful manicure I’ve ever had in my life. I’m an esthetician as well and now the difference between using a pusher on the cuticles and an excavator. She did not use a pusher on me at all just scrapped my nail with the excavator. It was very painful. I knew she had done too much because when she wiped with alcohol it burned and I was red. I’m shocked I didn’t need up bleeding. She kept saying relax cause my hands were tense because I was cringing in PAIN! Honestly it was not Worth the money at all for the manicure at least. I won’t be back

Need an escape from the daily hustle and bustle of life? 100 Fountain Spa is the place to go. My best friend and I love to spend the day at the spa where you feel like you're on vacation...even if you're a local! Your experience begins with your own locker with gown and slippers which allows you to fully relax, we always enjoy the pool, hot springs or even order food and beverages down to the calming lounge. Comfortable couches, fresh fruit, citrus water, tea and coffee make relaxing in the lounge an enjoyable experience. The ambiance is relaxing and stress-free, every staff member I've ever dealt with has been courteous and professional. I recently purchased my parents a couples massage as a Christmas present so they can spend the day together pampering themselves! Well worth the price.

I booked a spa day for my wife as a gift for her to be pampered all day. We had been to the pillar and post spa before and loved it. The ambiance was great as usual. But my wife had a bad experience at the start of her facial, having a bad reaction. She then asked for the treatment to stop because it was burning her skin. In the end not one person apologized to her; the person doing her facial just said it must be her skin and a bad reaction. The front desk said that she still got a facial so she had to pay! And this clouds the good massages we did receive. Not usually the type of service/treatment I would expect from this establishment. We won’t be going back after this experience.

My wife and I regularly choose 100 Fountain Spa for our date nights. There is nothing better than a massage, relaxing in the outdoor spa, enjoying a VERY tasty meal in the bar/lounge wearing only a housecoat. We recently visited while celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary, and again we had an amazing time. The reception staff are very pleasant and friendly. The treatment staff are amazing at what they do, and the facility is truly 2nd to none. We choose to spent our time and money at this location due to the atmosphere, as well as the ability to use the spa facilities in the hours prior to your treatment, and until it closes for the night. The bar-lounge staff are all amazing, and go out of their way to provide exceptional service. We have always had amazing meals, my favourite is the coconut fish & chips. I ask for it to be pan-fried and opt for a salad or the soup. The taste is simply amazing, and its the perfect light meal for ending your day at the spa. We will continue to enjoy our time at the 100 Fountain Spa, located in the Pillar and Post Inn. Thank you for always striving to provide your customers with an amazing experience.

Pillar & post is a great spot for couples or family. Spa is nice, as are the pools and hot tubs. Not sure the quality of the rooms or food as we only spent a couple hours here.

Had a wonderful time here last week with my sister, the service was good, we felt so relaxed.. Worth the price..

My mother went for a spa day yesterday with multiple services. She was paying and thought it was high but it was busy and she felt rushed plus she is older and felt stressed. She got home and realized she had been triple charged for the pedicure. She called and they were refunding her but probably not on the extra tip she had based on the original total. Unfortunately this is not the first time they have overcharged so if you do go make sure you are being charged correctly. We used to enjoy going but will probably not return after this latest fiasco...and because prices are unreasonably high even without the overcharging.

Hotel and spa staff were welcoming and lovely except for the person performing my pedicure. She barked instructions at me impatiently and was unpleasant. I have an ankle injury and she was getting frustrated that I couldn't bend my toes backwards. My service finished 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Normally, I wouldn't tip with that kind of service but she was so miserable that I felt bad for her.

I literally loved everything about this spa! From the quick painless check in, to the most relaxing spa wait room I’ve ever waited in, to the services and the hot pool! It’s perfect. Yes the hot pool is on the smaller side but I didn’t find it a negative. There was about 8 of us in there at the same time and it was fine. Didn’t feel crowded at all. The temp was perfect. I could have fallen asleep in the waiting room in between services it was the lovely :) and they have a nice assortment of teas etc. The fireplace is a nice touch. And the massages were absolutely perfect. Good pressure and left feeling much less sore. My favourite spa so far. :) The layout itself was well thought out. And the large pool area was very relaxing as well.

Lovely place. Sometimes the lounge is noisy - maybe the whole relaxing spa concept is unfamiliar for some. Are 'Quiet' signs - people at rest- needed?! Staff are wonderful - Shout out to Amanda who went the extra mile to contact laundry and followup on my bathing suit that I put in laundry by mistake after a relaxing afternoon. Too relaxed!! The front line staff are very professional and one would never know what stresses they are handling. The outdoor hottub is heavenly and has a waterfall that is wonderful for tight shoulders. The indoor pool area is gorgeous and as are the locker rooms, fresh fruit and teas. The scent and music also are major parts of this magical place. It has been one if my favourite places in Niagara to visit for the past 20 years

The spa was able to accommodate a same day appointment. My pedicure was fabulous. The Esthetician took her time. The treatment was very relaxing and well worth the price. Arrive early to enjoy the spa amenities and fresh fruit.

Donna Tyler

Not the best spa day I've ever had. Here are some things they can improve upon: -As you enter the "hot springs" (really just a very small hot tub) there is a weird set of vinyl drapes that hangs over the entrance. Every single person that enters the springs passes through this slimy thing. Why is this here? -There should be separate waiting rooms for beauty treatments and massages. The waiting room was packed and I had to stand. -Re-stain the wood in the main sauna. It looks like it hasn't been stained since the queen was in town. Overall I think if management threw some money at this place, it could be 5-stars.

Bibi XiaoJie

Took my wife here for a day spa and it was awesome. The massage was done well. RMT actually took time to ask about pressure before the massage started and focus on area that requires attention. The outdoor pool was heated and out tub was connected internally to the spa resting area. Coffee, tea and fruits were complementary at the resting area.

Gia Walton

Excellent water amenities, can get very busy though. Staff were pleasant, property was nice and clean, men's change rooms were exceptionally clean. Will definitely return.
