I just got a new set of gels done by Mary. She was so kind and gentle. I normally feel pretty judged in nail salons, especially when I ask to get my nails done quite short. This was absolutely not the case with Mary. She explained that its better to keep them a bit longer for the shape I wanted, but did not push or pressure when I asked for them a bit shorter. She told me the price up front and it didn't change at all when I went to pay like it sometimes does. Incredible colour selection. My nails have never looked better.

Okay, most of the girls who work here seem very sweet, and so I don't feel right leaving a bad review for the whole place. But the one lady I had doing my nails basically didn't do a thing right. My nails look fine in the end, but I've never had such a painful experience getting my nails done. She cut me multiple times with the emery board (to the point where I have 4 hang nails because she ripped my cuticles so much), she burned me constantly with the electric nail dremel (and laughed when I flinched hard like I was joking or something). She also straight up ridiculed me when I said I wanted them to only go about 0.8cm past the end of my finger. She literally refused to cut them shorter than that. She also glued half of the nails to the skin underneath my nail, which was brutal. She also didn't know how to label nail shapes so I was trying to communicate that I wanted a squoval shape but she had no idea what I was talking about. I completely understand that she spoke almost no English, but there needs to be some way of communicating whether it's via another staff member translating or whatnot. She just made no effort and was SO rushed and seriously hurt me.

Love these ladies- they almost always do a great job and if you're not totally happy with something they fix it without question. They also work so hard to get everyone in- so occasionally they are running late on appointment times, but they always manage to squeeze me in with very little notice and I so appreciate that so can definitely forgive running a little late. I've been getting mani/pedis, brows, and massage here- and all the services have been great. I have had bad brow experiences in the past so I am always a little nervous to let someone new near them, but they've done a great job with tinting/waxing and I've been back many many times and will continue to return. Also they are the sweetest ladies that work here.

My grade/1% They actually will do whatever they want, and says the customer is stupid how they deal with things is to make up another line on the phone but when u keep the convo going there is no one on the other line. No more recommended for everyone I know AFTER being there for 3 years

Went in for a mani/pedi. Service was super fast and the ladies were friendly. Place is clean with hygienic practices. :) My mani wasn't the best I've ever had-- there are some uneven spots (bumps and dips) in the shellac on my thumbs, but it's not too noticeable. If you're looking for a speedy spruce up, this is a great place to go.

I have thought long and hard about writing this review because I know the impact it can have on a business. In the end, I felt I needed to share my experience. About four months ago I started getting my acrylic nails done here by Mary and then I started getting my pedicures there. With my pedicures, I get the shellac polish which is supposed to last a very long time - hence the extra cost. Well, within a week, the polish on 7 of my 10 ten toes had lifted so much that I had to pull it off. While in the 5 years I have been getting shellac (at other places) it has never happened. I figured there is always a first time. When I went back in to see Mary to get my finger nails done, I showed her my toes. It is Mary's response to me that was most concerning. I had become a regular customer for both my acrylic finger nails and my pedicures and I came in giving them an opportunity to fix my nails. Mary's response to me was they were too busy to fix them and that everyone in there had appointments. Yet, two people walked in while I was there without an appointment. I asked if she could slot me in sometime during the hour that I was going to be there, and again, the response was no. The other piece was I wanted all my toes redone. It was a pretty safe bet that if 7 came off in less than a week, the other 3 would come off pretty soon. Mary's response was they wouldn't do that unless they charged me for a polish change. Mary's tone was one that was implying I was trying to pull a fast one. At this point. I'm shocked this is the response I'm getting from the manager. Keep in mind, I'm sitting at Mary's station while Mary is doing my finger nails. So, she had plenty of time to rethink her responses. During that time, staff were available to do a polish change but it wasn't offered. Even though the salon wasn't very busy any more -so much so that I asked again if it could be done today so I don't have to come back tomorrow, Mary had me wait 15 minutes after my appointment with her was over. All that was done were the 7 toes. They didn't even put on the rhinestones I had paid extra to have put on the first time. While the polish could have been old, or the technician may not have "cooked" it long enough, or she put it on the skin, etc ..., there aren't any excuses for lousy customer service.

Went in to get a refund for a bad nail job that I proof of (pictures) and they said "no". They did offer to redo the nails but I explained the person didn't live close by and is very elderly. If they had done the refund I would have remained a customer but they refused. So I got no refund, they lost a customer and all my friend referrals over a $22.00 refund. Their loss.

Nice ladies good work, my problems were she dropped the block on the floor a few times and brushed it off to keep going. Wish she had grabbed a new one. The shaver for my feet was legit a cheese grater looking thing. And the place smelled so strong of alcohol I had to cover my face, even the hot towels were scented. I've got a headache from it. ???? The arm tables were also very slanted and broken so you couldn't put a drink down without it sliding. The pedi tub couldn't be taken out so they put plastic over it which didn't seem sanitary and the water was ice cold when my feet went in it almost felt warmer in the room then in the water ????

On Oct 17, 2020, I went in to get a pedicure. during my pedicure I noticed the lady cut my skin next to the side of my nail bed and it hurt. The day after, a pain started growing on my toe where the cut was. It got worse and worse and two nights later it got so intense it woke me up in the middle of the night and I went to the ER. The doctor told me I had an infection. I couldn’t walk normally for a few days and I had to take antibiotics for a week :(

I got foot massage and manicure here. Foot massage is a pure joy -- the girl who did it turned on the massage chair, and I got 30 minutes of full body relaxation! Feet were feeling awesome, light, and full of energy. Manicure was good but nothing special. Cuticles were trimmed OKish, the nail polish was rather lasting (4 days) and there were no chips afterwards.

However, not the place to go if you want to be social or have a relaxing time - more the place you go when you just need to get your nails done for the sake of maintenance. My friend and I went together, and found it awkward to converse because I was positioned with my back to her.

Every review that you’ll read about Mary is definitely true. I came in today for a shellac manicure ???????? and she went above and beyond. My has been here before and she recommended that I check them out and trust me I was not disappointed! All the staff are kind and detailed oriented. It’s very clean and they follow Covid-19 guidelines. Mary perfectly did the design that I request and I couldn’t be happier. She repeatedly checked with me to make sure I like everything as she went on with the process. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you ???????? Mary for slaying my nails ????

I had two ladies work on me and the one who did my pedicure cut and made me bleed (it stung !). She spoke zero English and didn't say anything. I was hard to communicate with her as She literally only made hand gestures. Like when she wanted me to put my foot up , she kept tapping my legs when I just put my foot in the tub so I didnt understand what she wanted until she tapped me another 5 times. She didn't said a single word ! She also didn't cut my nails correctly as she cut them square when I wanted I said round. The lady who did my manicure was nice and professional but when I mentioned about what happened she didn't do anything about it. I paid full for it and didn't get an apology from the lady who made me bleed. Even my friend who was getting their pedicure done beside me said she seemed pretty rude and odd cause they witness the whole thing.

I saw Mary today for my full set of gel nails for the first time. She was super polite and friendly. She put in a lot of effort to ensure I was happy with the final result. She's not pushy about add-ons and neither does she talk your ear off. I'm super thrilled with my nails and I'd definitely go back to see her next time.

Oh god .. I broke a couple nails and went there to get them fixed with acrylic. I mean, they charged me a decent price but I think they gave me a new chick and bless her heart she tried her best, but her acrylic was extremely uneven throughout the nail and her French tip was horrendous. A for effort.

I really wanted to like this place! I went in recently for a pedicure and to get my brows threaded. Pedicure went great and I loved it.. Until later that night the side of my left toe was swollen and red. Saw my doctor and they confirmed its a bacterial infection. :( Now taking antibiotics. Giving a star because they were friendly, the polish application and threading were good, and they were following Covid guidelines - Mandatory masks, social distanced workstations, hand sanitizer available etc.

I've been here twice for manicures, and once for a pedi, and I've been pretty happy with the results each time. The ladies here take their time, and do a great job. My nails look perfect: not crooked, neither the acrylic nor shellac was applied too thick, the colors are vivid, and you know it's quality work because they last for weeks. The massage chairs are pretty good quality, the place is clean, and they give you tea or water to sip on :) Would definitely recommend, and I'll be back for sure.

I had my nails done by Kim. Usually whenever I go to a nail salon they hand me a basket of colours to look through and I tell them that I only get acrylic powder, no shellac polish. And typically salons tell me that they don't have any coloured acrylic powder (which is a lie). But Kim knew exactly what I was talking about and she went and got me the samples of what the actual powder looks like once mixed into the actual form. She was SO fast and SO good! I highly recommend seeing Kim at April Nails. Also a very reasonable price and friendly conversation. She even showed me pictures of her cute little baby girl ! THANKS KIM ❤????

I've been a loyal customer for about a year now. I tried Metrotown and Lougheed and found that the job done on my acrylics are fabulous. I usually see 2 specific people there and I am treated like a queen. I've had others in the salon but there is no comparison to the level of care that the two put into their work. I always have nail art on my feature nail and a match for my toes. I see them once every couple of months just because the fill is required. The one special gal can do a perfect french manicure freehand and it looks like she used a stencil. She paints like a true artist. The only thing I would veer away from would be the waxing. Unfortunately that isn't done so well. I know I present difficulties with my disability but I have another place that is just excellent and I don't mind paying a little extra to get it done right.

I absolutely love this place!!! My mom and I went in for our scheduled appointment and only waited like 5 mins which is totally fine! I got a new set and showed Tina a photo with my desired length, shape and ombré design and she absolutely nailed it! (no pun intended haha) Incredible friendly staff! My mom got the regular mani + pedi done by Zoey (Joey? Sorry if I’m saying the wrong name) and she was amazing! The scrub, the massage everything was fantastic. I finished first so they asked me to sit in one of the massage chairs that weren’t taken and turned it on even tho I didn’t get a pedi. It was an extremely relaxing experience and I’m excited to go back. Thank you ladies!

Update:the owner left me a voicemail suggesting that I am trying to get free services. Even though I made an appointment to get my nails fixed and she advised below that they’d fix my nails she told me not to come in. Wow. Just wow. In less than a week my shellac manicure had started to lift up around the edges. I went in yesterday to show them but I had to have the same nail tech fix them. When I went in today they wrote the time of my appointment incorrectly and I’d have to wait 30 minutes to get in. Mary stated that she’d fix the nails that had lifted up but wouldn’t cover the growth. She would only apply the shellac to the portion she previously did and even took a photo so she could gauge how far down not to go. The photo is moot since she didn’t get all the way down the first time so why would the practice change. Very bad customer service, poor manicure and ridiculous practices.

This place is great! I have been coming here ever since they opened a few years ago and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since! They always treat their customers very well and of course their service is always great! My nails are usually done by either Mary or Kim, but I’ve also gotten my nails done by Tina, and they are all very skillful and friendly! I have also gotten a wax and my eyebrows done here, and they were all awesome. They really care about their customers and giving the best service! Mary usually does my waxes/eyebrows and she never lets me go until every single unwanted hair is gone! I would 10/10 recommend this place!

I did my nails today and did not have a good experience. Lots of miscommunications with the nail lady, assumed the whole time I wanted nail extensions, she was harsh on filing and cleaning my nails, two of my nails ended up bleeding in the corner. I've been here before and this never happened, place needs consistency!! Before posting this I was reading the comments and people had a good experience, but owner barely responds to comments, I still want to share my experience today for future customers.

Very friendly staff, always happy to make conversation and very welcoming. The nail technicians are quite quick and are very thorough. They always ensure that I am happy with my nails before I leave. I do suggest calling before hand, because they get quite busy and because it is easier to fit you in with one of the more experienced girls. I wish I could come have my nails done more often!

Then I make an appointment with Mary. I live nr Oakridge & 41st Ave but still make the trek by transit to get my eyebrows separated by Mary!! Great staff & great service!!!

The place is the best nail spa I've been to. The foot spa massage chairs are new and the place is clean and chic. It's steps away from the Skytrain at new Westminster. My wife and I got a manicure and pedicure and the service was excellent. Definitely going back!

I got my nails done by one very nice lady. 2 days later I noticed discolouration on my nails and black spots appear. I called in and she sis she would do a colour change free of charge. I made my way back, and the manager tells me this happens with all white colours. I’ve had white, light pink and pastel yellow in the past from other salons and this discolouration never happened. She said I possibly dyed my hair or rubbed my nails on blue jeans. I’m never going again to this place.

Terrible experience. Got a pedicure and the woman cut one of my cuticles badly. It was bleeding througout the whole service but not one apology was offered. Been a week and it still hurts. Went with friends who had a good experience so it's hit and miss but beware.

Mary is amazing!!! She listens to what you want and does an amazing job every time. Which is why when it came to getting my wedding nails done I trusted her 100%. She did such a great job. I LOVED them. My cousin also got her nails done but by another technician and she loved hers too. Both our nails lasted weeks without breaking or fading. They offer you free tea and bottled water. They make sure you’re comfortable. They genially cares about their clients. I highly recommend you to get your nails done here.

I went to April Nail's for a few months and had Kim do my nails. Kim was amazing!! Professional, kind, engaging - she asked how I would like my nails done and did them that way. The other day, I went, Kim was off, and I had Tina. Tina was rude. Her work is okay but you have no input on how you would like your nails. She does them the way she wants to do them. Disappointing.

Got a gift certificate for Christmas for a pedicure here and decided to cash it in today. Went in as a walk in and they were able to take me right away! I wish I had taken a before and after pic because my feet were so awful and they look amazing now. The service was phenomenal. They even offer a bottled water or a tea if you'd like. The exfoliant they use smells amazing and the massage felt so good on my legs and feet. The selection of polish colours is pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place and will be going back!! I have been to other salons in the area and this one definitely has the best service and attentiveness.

Best manicure pedicure with shellac I’ve had! Bell is extremely meticulous. I had to wait for about 15 mins in-spite of an appointment but the service definitely made up for it. Definitely coming back!

This is the WORST nail salon EVER! My natural nails were filed way too thin, to the point it burned and started to bleed. They built my nails way too thick and the polish was both uneven and chunky. Some nails were bigger than others while some were pointing in different directions. By nails were not symmetrical and that is a big no no for me. There was no nail care they didn’t even touch my cuticles. Oh and my pedicure? I was charged full price and left with an unfinished disappointing job. They built my nail up with acrylic and it fell off right away. They said I was being charged for their time. Well what about my time? This was a complete waist of my time and money. If your gonna do a job do it right. If nails aren’t your passion find a different job. Simple! Hire people who actually have completed a legit course!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Marry is rude and lies she doesn’t care to listen to her customers she does a half ass job and sends you out the door. There’s a girl there who also doesn’t understand or speak English so she never does the job right.

They are very kind & professional.I moved out from New West all the way to Delta & I still go back to Mary (she's my fav) every time I want my nails to look poppin'. Went there for years( with twee ) she did an amazing job and always knew what i wanted . Never had a problem only had a horrible eyelash job done they had to take it off next day and it was painful i screamed in pain liquid got onto my eyes ...i paid that day for full face and arm wax, mani ,pedi ,and eyelashes, eyelashes along wore about 80 bucks after all the screaming and yelling i got a 20 gift card ...it felt like a slapped in the face... the owner its not doing her job i know Twee couldn't say much but i felt like beating the owner ..they told me they fire the girl who did my lashes but that did not change the fact that they damage my eyes and lashes and i got 20 dollar fund ... i was a very loyal costumer

Me and my mom get shellac polish and manicures here. Even when it’s busy and we haven’t made reservations they manage to squeeze us in. After a couple bad experiences at other nail spas we don’t go anywhere else. The prices are same as other nail spas but they offer more services such as a hand and arm massage and a bottle of water. They aren’t usually very talkative but me and my mom don’t care about that.

I have been going to this salon for 3+ years now and I have had a great experience. The staff at the salon are very friendly and great atmosphere. The technician that I have been with is Mary. She is amazing at her job her gel nail work is always up to par. I never have to worry about my nails looking terrible or the quality of her work. I am very grateful to be her client and to have her as my nail tech. I highly recommend Mary if you need to get gel nails or acrylic nails done she is the person to go to. Thank you Mary!!

I’m a regular customer and my last appointment with them was just horrible!!! First, the girl who was assigned to me did a half assed job! She did not clean my nails at all! Buffed my nails and started putting fake nails and that’s it! Second, she was so careless! Wounded my skin and did not even say sorry or clean the wound!!! And third, she over charged me! I usually pay $65 for my nails, but my LAST visit cost me $80! I didn’t so anything different but she charged me more!!! My mom, sister and me always came here but you will never see us again!!! You just lost 3 good customers!
