Hi Everyone, I really debated writing this because I don't want to hurt anyone's business and I like Amy as a person however, my concern is with the quality of service. I went in for 5-6 Laser sessions, and the quality of service was significantly lacking compared to other places. The laser technician didn't make any markings. She would miss spots during treatment, she would often be on the phone or answering phone calls throughout the session. I have now visited a different laser service with the same machine and I was informed much more about the decision-making process (such as strength of laser), areas of my skin were marked and the overall quality was better. For example, at Amy's laser, my friend who would go before me used the same towel that I did. In the velcro there were hairs and other debris, so I knew that it wasn't cleaned between services. I spent months considering whether to write a review or not, but after 6 sessions of laser hair removal (I was promised changed after 4-5 sessions) there is no change in my underarms and I think it's important that others are also aware before making such a decision, be it that the treatment is so expensive. I also had communication issues with bookings because of slow response times and dates and times being changed last minute. Overall, I think Amy is a fantastic woman and entrepreneur, I just think that minor changes can really affect the quality of her service. It was only till after I sought out treatment elsewhere when I realized what I truly was missing.

I came in for my first Brazilian wax and was given a trainee for waxing my legs and underarms where there is still quite a lot of hair. Then I got a Brazilian and the results are disappointing because there is still a bunch of hair patches around my bikini line. For the price it’s very frustrating, also i waited for 30 minutes before I got to even go in. Overall not a good result. Don’t think I’d come back.

Been here a couple of times and the service and staff is friendly but the place looks like a hole in the wall with chairs placed around. Maybe they are still working on Reno’s? I have been there for nail services and was pushed by staff to get extra services I didn’t need. The worst was when I went for my last threading of my eyebrows I was done in about 3 mins which was bizarre because I knew my eyebrows needed more care than that. Long story short I have lop sided brows and won’t be back there.

I get a facial laser done here, which is quite the painful process, yet Amy has a way of making it less so. She is super accommodating, patient, and ensures that every session be a pleasant experience. Moreover the rest of the staff replicate her knack for customer service, and hence its always a great experience no matter who attends to you. Finally the place is super clean, has a great ambiance, and the prices are more than reasonable!

I have been coming to Amy’s spa all the way from Coquitlam ever since it opened. They have very reasonable prices compared to other salons I’ve been to and excellent customer service. Their new laser machine has made my skin lighter and hair free in just 4 treatments! Best part about it is that the laser is so quick (full body done in under an hour) and virtually pain free. I have referred several friends to go to Amy’s spa for laser as well and they have all been very happy with the results. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice now and both times I was completely satisfied with the service! First time I went for a shellac manicure, they took there time turned out beautifully and has held up well! Second time was a pedicure and facial treatment (my first time) it was very enjoyable and comfortable my technician explained everything that was going on so I knew what to expect! Pedicure was great as well! Very professional staff and sterile environment would recommend! I do plan on returning when in the area ????

I was quoted a price for my nails and made an appointment. The price charged after the service was $10 more. The receptionist was unapologetic and simply said, ‘I didn’t know the prices.’ I confirmed that she was the person who gave me the quote on the phone - she confirmed that she was, but again, did not apologize and just shrugged it off. The manicurist tried to save a step and instead of filing only the top layer of my gel polish off, she tried to file everything I.e all the nail polish off, so she could skip the step of using cotton wool and soaking. The filing drill was getting very hot from her excessive use and it was very damaging to the nails, so I asked her to stop and wrap my nails instead. She did so, begrudgingly. She was very slow and the nail polished looked bumpy and uneven. She was not wearing gloves either (during pandemic) and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Another staff was walking around with her mask on her chin while she texted. The doors were not open and there was little ventilation. The debit machine was not sanitized either. It was a complete fail. I think that this business needs to step up and take proper COVID precautions, retrain their receptionist (or fire her) and honour the quotes given. It was my first visit and definitely my last. P.s. I chose this place because of the high ratings and reviews. Upon further inspection after this incident, many of the good reviewers have only one review.
