Excellent spa area. Even with a busy salon right next door you are in a whole different world when enjoying a spa treatment. Have had manicures, pedicures, eyebrow sugaring, and hot stone massage, all which were well done. Has a wheelchair accessible parking spot right out front, and step-free entrance.

Great service, the location is really cool - love the heritage building and how it's set up. Wheelchair accessibility is great! There's a wheelchair parking space right in front, level entry with no steps, and there's a wheelchair accessible washroom in the back. Got a great haircut and colour, and it was overall a good experience. I'll be back!

Was just visiting Nanaimo and decided to treat my mom & I to a facial this weekend. We booked & went to Kiyo Salon in Nanaimo and were very pleased with the welcome reception and the level of expertise, quality products and truly attentive spa treatment exectution by both of the girls that worked on us. My girl was Nikki & my mom had a Croatian woman that she was super pleased with. Our treatment was just over 2 hrs long and was reasonably priced at $139 each. I've had a lot of spa treatments and this one was well worth it. Only thing you should request is that folks waiting keep their voices low b/c the laughing & chats you could overhear during the treatment was the only negative.

Alisha did such an amazing job coloring my hair! It had been over five years since I last colored my hair, and I went in not exactly sure of what to ask for. After coming home from the salon, I realized that the color hadn't turned out to what I had in mind, and I called the salon the next day to see if they could fix it. They were super accommodating and I was able to get squeezed in on the same day. Alisha listened to my concerns about the initial coloring experience, and was able to recolor my hair to exactly what I had envisioned! I am in love with how it turned out, and so impressed with Kiyo's excellent customer service and willingness to make sure each customer is completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend Alisha to anyone wanting to get their hair colored!

I came here to get balyage coloring done to my hair. I was looking to get it an ashy blonde color, I know I could get the color I wanted because when I get my hair done at my previous salon in Vancouver they always get it that really nice ashy blonde that I am looking for. After spending 5 hrs at this salon and once everything was done my hair was more on the yellow side and ended up having to paid $350 for it. After a couple days i decided to call to let them know I wasnt happy. They told me, after some back and fourth, that I can come in and they can fix it. So, I go back....waste another few hours...AND THEY CHARGED ME ANOTHER $120.....my hair is still yellow. So in total I spent around $480 to get my hair yellow and to waste my time. The hairdresser was nice enough but if they couldn't do what I wanted then why take all that money and waste hours and hours of my time. I have a back injury, so it's hard for me to sit for longs periods of time as it is. I will never be going there again, now I am out all this money and still have to go find a place to get my hair done the way I asked. I just moved here from Vancouver and never had this issue before nor at these kinds of prices.

Came here a while back expected better than the horrible service I was given. I waited a really long time only to deal with a stylist that had a terrible attitude towards me and I felt unwelcomed. My hair looked good when it was curled but when I went home and it wasn’t styled it looked extremely choppy. Won’t be returning.

Went to Kryssie at Kiyo Salon for Body Sugaring (Brazilian). My first time there and she was super pleasant and friendly, I was made to feel comfortable instantly. The spa area is set up really nicely and the individual rooms are cozy. She was very professional and I was AMAZED at how fast she was! I think she finished my sugaring in 10 minutes! There was enough time left over for full legs which she was super quick at too. Waxing sucks and it's near impossible to find a place that does Sugaring between Qualicum and Nanaimo. I would HIGHLY recommend Kryssie! Fast yet efficient and super friendly and professional. Will definately be going back!

Very nice atmosphere and place. They were behind on their clients and I had to wait ten minutes, no big deal tho. Got my eye brows done and she did a good job but left me a burn mark that lasted a couple days. But overall she was very soft at touch when doing my eyebrows.
