Living in Montreal for 7 years and I’d say this is one of the best spas in the city. Staff are really nice and always willing to help, and the most importantly their service is amazing. The place was nice, they welcome you nicely and there is a beautiful waiting area. The creams they use smell nicely too. The message was also good very professional I would recommend it. But I give them three stars just because sadly my massagist was sick and was coughing most of the time. She had to leave the room at some point because it was that bad. I hope she is better but having a massagist that is continuously coughing is not relaxing at all and I think they should keep that in mind.

I have been going here for several months and always get the same massage therapist because we vibe well and he understands what I need. But when I went in for my most recent appointment they told me that my therapist stopped doing that kind of massage. I really wish I would have received a phone call or something because it was a shock for me as I have serve anxiety about meeting new people. I would have rearranged my appointment to be sure I got my regular person. This kind of ruined my relaxation and it didn’t help that the person at the front desk seemed a little frustrated with me when I was uneasy about the lack of notice. The spa itself is beautiful, the ambiance is perfect and it sells so good! I take advantage of their student deals on Thursday which is an excellent idea, I appreciate it a lot. The rooms are cozy and they offer a heated a blanket if you’re cold. I really do love this place.

I love this place so much, it's hands down the best spa I've ever visited. My husband introduced me to it when he bought me a day package as a Christmas gift. I spent the most relaxing 3 and a half hours of my life in there as a result and have returned several times for massages, waxes and a facial at one point. Every single visit has been incredible. I have just returned from a ridiculously relaxing prenatal massage that I will be reaping the benefits of for some time. The staff here are so talented and always professional and polite.

My first time visit to Spa Espace Nomad while visiting Montréal exceeded my expectations. I felt quite comfortable when I walked through the door. Staff are fully bilingual and I had no difficulty communicating. The spa is offers a great tranquil space. I booked an hour-long massage and a facial for myself and my partner in the spa's room for couples, and it was wonderful. Great healing touches to relieve us of stress. Christine and Maude took care of us expertly, with friendliness that made us feel at home. I would book again the next time I visit Montréal.

From the super laid back, organic atmosphere with its books, candles, pillows, jewelry situated to make one be comfortable. (Translated) Kristina was very sweet and professional, I thank her for her service. However, I booked online for a sugaring and I received a wax. Was a bit confused when she started using wax ... I have been getting Brazilians for about 10 years now, have lived in several different cities and have never experienced such a rushed procedure. I am used to about 35-45 minutes for one appointment, and this took her about 15 minutes - I was shocked. All the hair is removed, but I do have several popped blood vessels, and bruising along my bikini line (which I attribute to the rush, the wax vs. sugar - which I booked for - and her technique). If I was new to this procedure I would be completely turned off by the experience, because of the rush. I arrived 15 minutes before my 5:45 appointment as suggested through the email, yet I did not go in until 6. If the rush was because your appointments were running late, I should not be punished for your running late, as I was perfectly on time. If I come back it will be for a> sugaring sugaring< though, I would expect my next appointment to be done with a bit more care. Kristina a été très gentille et professionnelle, je la remercie pour son service. Cependant, j’avais réservé en ligne pour une épilation au sucre et j’ai reçu une épilation à la cire. J’ai été peu confuse quand elle a commencé à utiliser de la cire, mais je n’ai rien dit d’autre que « je préfère celle au sucre » pour par la suite avoir une conversation sur ce qui fonctionne mieux pour nous deux. De plus, je reçois des épellations brésiliennes depuis environ 10 ans, j’ai vécu dans plusieurs villes différentes et je n’ai jamais connu une procédure aussi rapide. Je suis habituée à environ 35-45 minutes pour un rendez-vous, et celui-ci a seulement duré 15 minutes. J’ai un peu choqué par la rapidité. Tous les poils ont été enlevés, mais j’ai cependant quelques vaisseaux sanguins qui ont saigné et encore à ce jour des bleus le long de ma ligne de bikini — des effets secondaires que j’attribue à son extrême rapidité ainsi que sa technique. Si j’étais nouvelle à cette procédure d’épilation, je serais complètement rebuté par l’expérience en grande partie à cause de la précipitation de la procédure. Comme suggéré par l’email, je suis arrivé 15 minutes avant mon rendez-vous, mais je n’ai pas été pris en charge avant 18 h. Si la précipitation de mon épilation est le résultat d’un retard de l’institut, je conçois que je ne devrai pas être puni pour un délai n’ayant aucun lien avec mon arrivée ; je suis arrivée à l’heure (et même en avance) à mon rendez-vous. J’ai l’intention de revenir pour une épilation au sucre, je m’attends à ce que mon prochain rendez-vous soit fait avec un peu plus de soin.

I felt spiritually renewed and it is that type of place that fosters and nurtures an calming, peaceful healing that we lack in today's spas. I came here with my bf for my birthday. We both got the scandinavian massage and it lasted 1.5 hour. I felt nothing and it wasn't enjoyable at all. My bf's shoulder hurt for about 3 weeks after the massage which he didn't feel anything during the process at all. Very expensive and disappointing.

The space and decor at Espace Nomad is welcoming, cool, funky and inviting you to let go and relax (and I love those hot pink/fuchsia walls in the bathroom!) Myriam was wonderful and warm; gentle with some moves, while going deeper where she felt the tightness and tension. It was a great way to spend 1.5 hours: relaxed, soothing, comfortable, feeling accumulated stresses and pains slip away in cozy, laid-back yet lovely and calming atmosphere. I didn't want it to end! I'm usually very sore the day after a deep tissue massage, but instead felt re-energized, relaxed and limber. Definitely recommended.

I usually get pretty good massages here- the decor is great and the free juices are amazing. This time though, I got the ‘Supergirl’ package which includes a massage and a mani/pedi. The massage was good but they put coconut oil in my hair so it looked gross; couldnt really go anywhere afterwards without washing my hair first. The esthetician who did my mani/pedi was suuuuper sweet nice and considerate, but she just came out of school and her lack of practice showed. I was told the whole package would take 2 hours - it took 3.5. The mani pedi took sooooo long, it kind of ruined my plans for the rest of the afternoon. My nails were all cut unevenly, and even after drying my toenails for an hour, once I put on the slippers they ask you to wear there, my nails were all smudged. The esthetician had run off right after she was done because she had another client waiting, so i had to re-do them myself but obviously that looked terrible, so i ended up just removing the colour once I got home, and since my fingernails looked equally as bad, I cleared those off too. All in all, it wad a huge waste of money. Would recommend for the massages but don’t get your nails done here.

I had gone to the spa nomad before and have always had a good experience. In the past two weeks I went there twice; once for a massage and once for acupuncture. I had a great experience with the therapists. They were kind and courteous but the receptionist left me with a low impression of the place. She was not kind or courteous upon departure. She did not wish me farewell and didn't even bother to say welcome when I said thank you very much for everything. I don't know if it was because of the fact that I had not added the tip to the bill!! I had given it directly to the massage therapist. I don't know if they share the tip of what not but that is not my problem. I expect a good experience and courtesy when I go for any body treatment especially when you work hard and stand on your feet for countless number of hours. I work in a service industry myself (hotel business ) and believe in ultimate customer care and satisfaction. Unfortunately I did not feel happy when I left for the 2nd time in a row in one week and will never go back to that spa again.

Deuxièmement, je reçois le massage, la pire expérience de ma vie.. j'ai le sentiment de me faire ausculter par un médecin qui cherche un ganglion au niveau du cou, bref, elle continue, met de l'huile très collante qui sent mauvais et elle me fait des pressions très rapides partout sur les jambes et les pieds et elle finit par me dire : C'est fini, détendez-vous...Au final, ça me coûte avec mon "40%" de rabais un 54$ pour des chatouilles au lieu de 77$+taxes (heureusement! ). La dernière fois que j'ai eu un massage suédois, le thérapeute était extrêmement professionnel et l'huile utilisée était une huile de qualité, le tout m'avait coûté à peine 50$ taxes incluses pour une heure. Franchement, je suis extrêmement déçue par ce spa que je considérais comme l'un des meilleurs à une certaine époque...

I had the Mystique massage of 1h30 where they use sesame oil on your body and on your hair and scalp. Melodie is great, I told her the spots that hurt me most and she was very good at massaging those spots. The only down side is the facilities. There is a small shower (i needed to wash out the oil in my hair), but there is no mirror or anything to get rid of makeup nor any combs. So after the massage I had a shower but my makeup was all smeared and my hair was wet and uncombed. It is not very practical to go out like this in the middle of winter. It really is the only downside, because the place is really nicely decorated, kind of hippy style. I am not sure if I will probably be coming back for another massage where I dont need to take any shower!

This review reflects the service of the receptionist only. The massage that I received was fine. Traveling from the US, I called ahead to book. The receptionist hung up on me multiple times, before I was able to complete the booking process. This should have been my first indication that I should just go to Bota-Bota and not try multiple spas during this trip. After services were completed, I handed payment + tip over and asked for confirmation of the tip amount to ensure Inhad provided enough. The receptionist asked if I wanted to count the money myself and started speaking in French about me to her coworkers. My friend and I then had smoothies and after finishing asked where we should leave our glasses. The receptionist thought I was asking to keep the glass and again began speaking in French to her coworkers. Being from out of town or not, I found the experience to be very rude, especially from the receptionist who should set the tone for the experience. I have had multiple friends and my parents travel to Montreal since my visit and have advised them to go to Bota-Bota or another spa instead of here.

The SPA itself is very nice and most of the staff are friendly, except for the manager that was stressed and not friendly, which doesn't help to encourage relaxation. But my main disappointment was with the treatment itself. I chose a Mystic treatment, which in the description on the website explores Chakras through application of 7 different chakra oils. I was excited about that part - something different and that's why I chose to go to this SPA. My massage therapist, though very nice and gave me a good massage, had never mentioned anything about different oils or chakras. So I got a regular long massage when I came for a special holistic treatment.

horrible waxing services and unprofessional receptionists: I cannot speak about the massage treatments because I have not had any. However, I had quite a few waxing experiences that led me to write this review (I usually do not write reviews but I felt like other paying customers should know about this before planning a visit to Espace Nomad) -1st experience: I had Raphaelle as the aesthetician doing my brazilian. She was not bad because she was training a “stagiaire”. She was explaining what she was doing step by step which helped her to do a good job. It still hurt more than average And she left some hairs so I had to finish the job myself as I got home. -2nd experience: I had a different aesthetician that did my brazilian in less than 10 minutes which seems nice at first. However, she was going so fast that she was ripping my skin off (horrible technique que it hirt a LOT), she also left half of my hairs there and caused me the worst ingrowns I’ve ever had. - 3rd experience: I decided that maybe the last experience was a fluke so decided to give Raphaelle a try again (since she was not bad before). I waited in the waiting room for over 25 minutes and when I let the receptionist know she told me that the aesthetician skipped my appointment and was treating someone else. They did not offer anything for the big waste of my time and bad service they only asked me to reschedule (which I refused off course). - 4th and last experience: decided to give them one last try since they had such good reviews. (I did not ask for a specific aesthetician this time) When I called for my appointment I let them know that the aesthetician had forgotten my appointment before so to write a note or leave a reminder (the receptionist told me that she did). When I got there the receptionist let me know that she would pass on the message to the aesthetician. I waited for 15 minutes again and went to reception to let them know that the aesthetician had skipped my appointment again and that I was very unhappy. The receptionist told me “I’ll see if the aesthetician is here”, she came back saying that it was an accident and that I could get my service and told me “yeah well I don’t know what to say” when I told her this was the second time it happened. When I finally saw the aesthetician he told me “oh sorry I skipped you I didn’t see your appointment in the list” and proceeded to tell me how he was scheduled for another appointment now and that he hated being late?!!????!!! He also let me know that he did not like the feeling of gloves but he washed his hands?!! He rushed through my waxing (I guess he did not want to be so late for the next appointment) he hurt me a lot and left about 2/3 of my hairs there but sonce their lighting is so bad I only really noticed when I got home so I ended up having to shave ???????????? Receptionists review: Every time I went there the receptionists were always in some type of a conversation either with regular customers or between each other. They do not help you unless you force yourself on them or unless you have been noticeably waiting there for a good while. I have personally been working in client service for a long time and let me tell you they have absolutely none. They are not courteous they do not even know how to react when you wish them a good day (I guess being nice is not part of their usual language) they look like they have never received any training in their job and are not passionate about their job (I mean it is not hard to smile they could at least fake a smidget of enthusiasm when dealing with paying clients). Receptionists are the first and last face a client sees when walking into any business, they are the first and last impression that a guest has of the establishment and that is clearly something that they are either not aware of or take very lightly. It is safe to say that I will not go back to this establishment.

La chambre que j'ai eu était un peu froide, mais la massothérapeute s'en est excusée dès le départ et j'ai été accueilli dans la chambre avec une couverture chaude =) Elle était attentive à mes besoins, et malgré que ce soit la première fois que j'ai un drainage lymphatique, j'ai senti qu'elle savait ce qu'elle faisait. Les réceptionnistes étaient super sympathiques aussi. J'hésitais à mettre 4 étoiles à cause de la chambre froide mais la massothérapeute m'a accomodé du mieux qu'elle pouvait, et je me suis senti 1000x moins lourde après mon drainage =) J'y retournerai très bientôt. Sinon, le personnel est tres aimable et amical. J'ai trouvé que les factures n'étaient pas assez détaillée étant donné que je payais avec des certificats cadeaux et qu'on envoie la facture par e-mail. J'ai dû revenir au spa pour qu'on m'explique le prix de chaque soins et qu'on m'indique le nouveau solde de ma carte cadeau (carte-cadeau qui n'a pas de montant, mais le nom du soin) Je n'ai pas compris non plus pourquoi on refusait d'emettre un reçu pour les assurances pour les massages quand on payait avec des cartes-cadeaux. C'est pas comme si le massage etait gratuit...

Well the service overall is really nice but I don’t like very soft massage which feels very awkward since it merely feels like touching without dealing with the problems found from the tissues. I have had many massages since 2015 and this was my very first time at espace nomad. I really liked the ambience and the overall service. But the massage was meh-. It really depends on the therapists and on the needs you express to them. But I mean, why would you schedule and pay for a mere touching not for a massage? I had expressed my needs for the upper back and shoulder problem very clearly. I am really sure that my therapist was able to catch some tension from my shoulders and upper back but I ended up getting “a touching” around my arms for half of the session. It wasn’t relaxing but frustrating at the end since I didn’t feel the feelings I’ve always had after the massage (which is my favorite part of the massage!) I am really glad that I had a promo for that. If I paid the full price, I would have asked for the refund.

The massotherapist I had was amazing! Unfortunately, she’s not a full time employee, she seemed to have been called to help out. There was only 1 washroom for 3 story place...( that I was told about) I had to wait for it to be free. I went before and after my massage session: being pregnant, you cannot really wait, I ended up going in after someone... not the best moment to walk in, IMO. But most importantly, What I find “sketchy” is that they didn’t apply the promotion for first time client on prenatal massage AND the receipt I received didn’t correspond to the amount I actually paid for... i emailed them when I got home, doing my filing for insurance. Took them a few days to reply to my email, they sent me another receipt with the correct amount. Before my booking their replies were pretty instantly, but for the above issue, they said they had email issues... The staffs are friendly indeed. Place looks clean and all, but for the above points, I decided to not go back, in case it happens again.

Check-in took a long time and made me late for my appointment but it wasn't her fault. Cecile did an amazing job and carefully listened to my needs. I expressed my disappointment with check-in and she put me at ease. Check out was a lot quicker. I love this place. It's not the first time and definitely not the last. This is a little gem in montreal! Really great place to get a massage! Really great staff! I met Maude and she really took the time to get to what I needed. She totally adapted to more sensitive spots and all. I totally recommend her for someone who need a deep tissue massage! They have a special 90min for the price of 60 in the mornings. She eventually went after already being turned off (after all this was meant to be a relaxing experience). She was terribly disappointed in the services and the staff’s attitude and treatment. She suggested I never purchase a gift for anyone from there which is unfortunate since it was so highly rated.

This place is amazing. I got the infaratherapy and it was amazing. It felt so good. Everyone there was super nice to me. The lady who did my treatment was awesome; very professional, knowledgeable about her work and nice. I honestly felt kind of embarrassed about how much I sweated during the rreatment, but my masseuse made me feel better. It seemed like everyone there spoke English and were patient with my inability to communicate in French. Lastly, the receptionist was super kind. They had wifi, but I couldnt connect to it for some reason. I chose to go to espace Nomad because it's close from my home and massages are terrific However, I am so disappointed by their customer service. When I booked last time, I showed up 10 minutes before the appointment and they told me I was late. So I showed them the confirmation email that I was actually on time, they completely disregarded me and hurried me into the massage room. Because of their mistake, my massage was 20 minute short which I paid full price for. No one acknowledged or did anything about it. I wasn't expecting anything but a simple apology. I deeply regret buying 5 massages membership because I would need to go back there and see them again. It was such an irritable experience when it's suppose to be relaxing. I hope they improve on their customer service part.

We booked a reservation online for two people with even the name of one of the girls for a massage. I spent 1 hour to drive to this place to finally be told there is no women available. And not only that made us feel guilty about keeping a male masseuse for an extra hour to wait for us. but the cherry on top they tried to charge us for cancelation fees and make us feel guilty about it. To avoid at all cost!!!! i would put - - - - -stars if i could. Not worth your time dont waste it! Go to a professional spa not playing amateurs. I am not a person who enjoys getting into conflict with anyone nor do I like leaving a bad review, however...when my words are manipulated and twisted around in a return response from the owner following my review, of a service that I was highly unsatisfied with, instead of an apology for how they will strive to improve what went wrong, I will not advocate that. My initial reservation was made online and did not work when selecting the date, not when selecting two female massage therapists. As owners of a business, rather than turning around and pointing the finger at the customer for a mistake that seems to be made often in your establishment, it would be best that you work on correcting what can be improved. Customers in the service industry are the people who allow your establishment survive. But yes, thank you for not charging me your mistake.

She used a lot of pressure like I requested and even made a comment about my shoulder tension after and advised not to let stress stay on my body. My experience at Espace Nomad was very disappointing. I was looking forward to a quality facial treatment and that was not the case. I was told on the phone that it was a duration of 1h30 but it was only 1hour. The esthetician's touch was ultra gentle, quick and felt inexperienced. There is no sink the the facial rooms so the towels are soaked in water from a big bowl. It makes the rinsing process not feel as clean and the water becomes cold. I got colder and colder as the treatment went on. The massage was Ok but the touch and the techniques seemed inexperienced and simple and not fluid. My mother also had a facial at the same time and had a similar experience and did not feel great about her facial either. My mother had extractions done and was left with quite a lot of red lesions on her face since some were done with a needle. I asked to get white heads removed but my esthetician said he was not qualified to do it since he could not use the needle. We were later confused since my mother had the needle used on her face but I did not. Also the sheets on the bed had a bad smell, like old oil odor that stayed on the sheets. The staff are also dressed very casually, like jeans and t-shirt which makes it feel not very professional. After the facial my face did not feel very clean, I went to look in the mirror and I had some pieces of crusted, dry mask still left on my face. I had to clean it off. Also the esthetician did not remove my eye makeup. At the end of the day I washed my face at home and the cloth was very dirty from eye makeup and residues, and dry mask pieces on my neck that flaked off. I discussed my concerns with the front staff that were very nice and courteous. They told me that the owner would call, which she did. She listened to my concerns and offered me a discount for another service which I was not interested in since I am not from town and would not go back to that spa even if I was back in town. She refused to accommodate my request and ended the call on a negative note. I would not recommend that spa and would not go back and would definitely not recommend to a friend. It was definitively not worth the price. Very disappointed from this experience and owner did not finish our discussion on a good note. Did not seem to be bothered that she lost customers and that people would read this honest review.

I booked the Supergirl Package, and it was wonderful! The overall vibe of this spa is perfect- so serene, so well decorated, great smelling and cruelty free products, and kind and professional staff! I came in for a Brazilian wax with Kristina. I told her it was my first time. I was a bit nervous but she assured me it wouldn't be too bad. There was a point in the service where she said there was a piece of wax stuck and she had to use some wax remover to get it off. I didn't panic- but I told her- things happen, and I would hate for someone to be unreasonable if I were in her shoes. Now. I noticed the wax remover burned a bit as well as did not remove the wax that was still there. Without seeing the job I thanked Kristina for her work- but also that she made me feel comfortable getting a wax. We jokes around and had a great conversation. I made it a point to tell her I was going to write a good review. Kristina finished the service and wished me well and left the room. After she left the room I merely reached down to feel how good of a job she had done- only to discover one side of my labia was stuck to the other- because of left over wax. It was not just a small drop. It was noticeable and painful. I also did a quick swipe with my hand- and still found a great deal of hair where it should not have been I was upset and did not know what to do. I went back out to the lobby and told Kristina I was unhappy. She was not hesitant to apologize and 'fix' the error. We went back to the room and she apologized. I was already completely turned off. She then said "Good thing you caught that." Now I'm sorry but, my legs are wide open on a table asking for a service that is supposed to be spotless- and your employee says "Good thing you caught that." Kristina took off that a few other areas of hair but still missed a few spots that I had to go home and fix myself. I also noticed double dipping in your wax equipment which is very unprofessional but more so unhygienic. I appreciated the price being lowered for the less than quality service- but it does not make up for how embarrassed I feel all together. I will not be returning here for another waxing service

Have never received a bad massage in this place. Is my “go to”. I have been around the world a few times and no one place offers such consistent top quality massages.

(Translated) Here is an honest opinion. Espace nomad is a decent place, but expensive for a rather average experience. I had received massage therapy and manicure / pedicure services. In massage therapy, I remember a last minute cancellation with the therapist I had specifically chosen, replaced by a young massage therapist who had just finished his training. I paid the same price when the experience was not really worth much (sorry but it's true!). The manipédis were good, can't say it was badly done, but nothing special either for a high price compared to other places that do the job equally well if not better. En massothérapie, je me souviens d'une annulation de dernière minute avec la thérapeute que j'avais spécifiquement choisie, remplacée par un jeune massothérapeute qui venait tout juste de terminer sa formation. J'ai payé le même prix alors qu l'expérience ne valait vraiment grand chose (désolée mais c'est vrai!). Les manipédis étaient bien, je ne peux pas dire que c'était mal fait, mais rien de spécial non plus pour un prix élevé comparé aux autres endroits qui font aussi bien sinon mieux la job. L'ambiance de l'endroit est zen et chaleureuse mais ayant eu beaucoup d'expériences ailleurs, cet endroit n'a rien d'extraordinaire.

Amazing experience! Anne-Marie was very friendly and I instantly felt relaxed in the spa. I came after writing the NCLEX nursing board exam at the end of September. Anne-Marrie's touch helped me release and exhale all the stress that I had been carrying in my body from exam time as well as stiffness from my flight from Vancouver. I will most definitely return! Great staff, great treatment. Nice place. My new spot for massage. Try deep tissue massage with Francis...it really helped me with my shoulder and back pain. It was so effective that i cancelled my appointment with my ostéopathe....

I did not actually have an appointment but had to cancel one. However apparently because I cancelled less than 24 hrs I was charged a cancellation fee of $75. I completely understand why you hold this policy, however I would request that when you let someone book an appointment in person you tell that person of said fee.

The place is clean, the vybe there is very calm and relaxing. They offer a great range of massage, and alot of their staff is very qualified. When you do the online reservation the answer rate is pretty quick. They offer insurance receip, you may also order fresh juice and many other product . I have many massage on my list i need to try .:)
