This is my third time visiting the spa, first time writing a review. My body was aching from the plane and I had to get a massage & use the Hammam Steam Room. I went with the Deep tissue massage with the hot stone massage right after. Had the Deep tissue massage for an hour and Hot stone right after that for an hour also. The massages, released all my knot in my back and it got cleared. My feet felt so refreshed. Anyone looking to get reinvigorated, this spa is the ultimate hidden gem in old Montreal (Quiet, personal service, good prices).

Went for a wrap, a facial, and a massage as part of a Christmas gift I received. Environment wise, this place is nothing special. The facilities are small and quite dated. The man at the front desk was speaking so loud you could hear him in the treatment rooms while trying to relax. You also have to pass the entrance to get from the treatment rooms to your locker. Not the best feeling when you're in a robe and just showered. Kind of killed the vibe. The wrap was nice, my skin felt soft after, but I didn't find that they spent enough time exfoliating. The heated beds are a nice touch though. The facial was super basic and would not be something I recommend. There was very little intake about my skincare routine and problem areas, and I didn't have that after glow that most facials give you. Which is too bad, as I was really looking forward to this treatment after wearing a mask for so long. The absolute SAVING GRACE of this experience was the massage I received from Cynthia. She undid knots that I didn't even know were there and was extremely knowledgeable about what types of stretches to do to help. I've never had such a thorough massage and was absolutely blown away. Tldr; go for the massage, but don't expect much from the rest.

My husband and i booked a 2-day gateaway in the hotel adjacent to the spa (SpringHills Marriott) and benefited from their massage services. The prices are good, the staff was very professional and we received an excellent service. The spa was clean and all covid measures were applied. I would recommend this spa!

Received a gift certificate at a Fundraiser, just called to try to schedule a manicure and was asked to supply the certificate number... which I thought was weird... Regardless, I gave the receptionist the number and she couldn't find it... $50 in their pocket for having done zero work. Or they claim to give back to charities but dont actually follow through with their actions...Very disappointing. Second time I hear about bad customer service at this spa.

The rooms were also clean and quiet, which helps to relax. For treatment, I had a facial, including an extraction, a treatment for dark circles, a cleanser and masks were all excellent. The lady who worked on me was very kind and helpful since she explained to me the products used, she cared a lot about me and my problems as I have sensitive skin. The steam room (steam room) has reduced my tension to the muscles. The products were of quality and my skin did not react badly to these. In short, I loved this spa and I recommend it to many. Les salles étaient aussi propres et silencieuses, qui aide bien à se détendre. Pour le traitement, j’ai eu un facial, dont une extraction, un traitement pour les cernes, un nettoyant et les masques étaient tous excellents. La dame qui travaillait sur moi était très gentille et aidente puisqu’elle m’expliquait les produits utilisés, elle se souciait beaucoup de moi et mes problèmes comme j’ai une peau sensible. Le hammam (steam room) a bien reduit ma tension aux muscles. Les produits étaient de qualité et ma peau n’a pas mal reagit à ces derniers. Bref, j’ai beaucoup aimé ce spa et je le recommande à plusieurs.

The ambience in the space is very welcoming and clean. The facial was very nice, my skin felt soft and looked glowing after. The massage was amazing, Jen really knows what she's doing! Permanent scars from a facial? My wife was administered a "microdermabrasion" during her beauty treatment. Her skin was so inflamed and red that it was very visible from headfront to chin. She had to be treated with a Cortisol cream by our local medical practitioner. The owners of the spa are great and friendly people but I am very uneasy that they administered a treatment with potentially dramatic side effects without properly informing her of the risks of this procedure.

My wife and I received excellent massages on 5 December from Tania. It was quiet and relaxing as soon as we walked in, which was good, because we'd missed our bus and were a few minutes late. The staff explained everything thoroughly beforehand, and some basic, but important relevant medical information (like allergies) was taken. My wife began her massage while I experienced my first time in a Hammam; which was very good (and hot! Make use of the cold water hand sprayer every now and then, and drink the provided water). For me, the scents used in the Hammam helped to promote relaxation. Tania asked me some questions before my massage began, and then, she found the spots that needed attention and made the tension melt away. Afterwards, she offered advice on how to keep those muscles from becoming so tense again. We chose our hotel, the Spring Hill Suites, partly because of the direct access to the spa from the hotel. We hope their relationship continues. We fully expect to return to Avie Spa on our next trip to Montréal!

What an amazing experience! Had my first ever massage here and OMG! The whole vibe is very calming as soon as you walk in. I waited in the lounge with some ice cold water and checked out the private hammam which looks awesome. Since it was my first time, I opted for a full body relaxation. My therapist took some time to discuss what would be best for me based on my job, what I feel and what I want. The attentiveness was a nice touch. The atmosphere was so clean and calm in the room. Great calming music at a perfect volume, nice mood lighting, a great place to escape the daily grind. The massage was PERFECT. Thorough and the perfect pressure. She hit muscles I didn't know I had, and at the end of it I realized exactly where I had a few issues. Looking forward to going back to work on those problem spots we discovered. All in all, I can't say enough good about this place! 10/10... Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I were visiting Montreal for the weekend and made an appointment for two Swedish massages. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our massage therapists made us feel comfortable and knew what they were doing. We felt very relaxed and my husband's lower back pain that he was experiencing went away after the massage. We will definitely return!

I got a Groupon for a 30 min Hamman experience and a couples massage. When I called to make the appointment I asked if we can have deep tissue massages and was assured that I had two massage therapists reserved. On the morning of the massage I was called and told that only one deep tissue masseuse was available. If we had cancelled there would have been a cancellation fee so I said ok. When we got to the spa the masseuse told me she can do a deep tissue but that it would cost me an extra $20, I said ok and told her I wanted a full body massage. She said no problem. The pressure was no where near hard enough to get out a knot and she never touched my head, hands, feet or neck. They tried charging me that extra $20 and I explained how unhappy I was. The masseuse even tried to say she did massage all areas of my body, which was not the case. I was given two coupons for 50% off my next visit although I can't see myself going back since I was extremely unhappy with the quality of massage I received. The facilities however were very nice and clean. My boyfriend said he received a very good deep tissue massage.

ok, the customer service, the location, the set up and staff - all excellent! I was personally massaged by Bhavana, and she literally lifted my spirits. Will be coming back, my partner was very pleased as well. Total for a couples 1hr massage was 310$ - room was perfect temperature (often I find them too hot, but my masseuse asked me my preference and turned off the heating bed). We had a minor time delay and were still accommodated. Best experience I've had thus far in Montreal. Very comparable in experience to Espace Nomade if you know it, but I preferred the service at Avie Spa. Thank you.

My girlfriend and I came down to do the hamman ritual. Personally I felt for what we paid for was not worth it. The scrub down is not a scrub down the lady doesn't do your neck or underarms it's basically a quick way of putting some black soap on. She brought one bowl for the 2 of us and it wasn't even enough, yet she didn't go out and bring some more. I'm giving this a one star because the sauna area had steam and was the only purposeful room. The extra 80$ for the exfoliation of the body was a complete rip off. I would only come back to use the sauna, not to do the ritual

One of the most disappointing massages I've had. The massage was so light and the masseuse seemed very inexperienced. The massage started 30 mins late without any warning or apologies and the experience was overall disorganized and not worth price. I wouldn't recommend this spa to anyone. Review on massage: The masseuse, although polite, seemed very inexperienced and unprofessional. I can confidently say this was probably one of the worst massages, if not the worst that I've had anywhere. The masseuse didn't ask how the pressure was or about any of my problem areas. She applied little to no pressure mostly just grazing over my back, barely massaging my body. I am someone who doesn't like deep pressure, I usually have to tell them to do it softer, but this massage was so light even for me. She gave very little instruction on what to do getting ready for the massage, so I asked her if I was allowed to take my shorts off. She said yes, and then went off to giggle to her co-workers about my question which I found to be seriously unprofessional. The front desk lady was the only saving grace as she was quite nice and attentive. I didn't have the heart to tell her how terrible the massage and experience was. I am a 29 year old young professional and go for a massages every month. I can confidently say I would not recommend this massage.

It was my first time at Avie Spa, I got referred by a friend and was super excited for this moment to relax and enjoy my time, however when I got in, I took a bit of time to change my clothes to for the Hammam so the lady at the front told me that instead of giving me 30minutes, I will only be allowed for 22 minutes at the hammam because theyre running out of time. First of all I am paying to relax at the steam room, I dont want to rush it out and think about time, she came to see me twice while I was in the room which stressed me out. Then I went for massage, the lady asked me if I had a particular issue that she wanted me to work on, I said that she can do the entire body relaxation massage, compared to many other massages I had, it was very light no pressure at all so it was okay... then comes the facial girl, (coming from someone who had facials several times before), she started off by putting a wet towel on my face for 5minutes, and while this girl was sitting behind me , I was hearing her press the home button of her cellphone, that is absolutely not acceptable, I am paying for this so even if its an express facial, she is supposed to stay in contact with her client even while waiting for the steam to do its wonders... then she left for 10minutes, left me alone in the room for the mask to do its job I guess... and then she applied cream on my face. These are alll things I can do at home on my own. The spa is all about the experience, you want people to forget about time, about life and its problems and just enjoy and this was absolutely not it. overall dissapointing experience and I would not come back even for half what i paid.

Every time we visit Montreal, AVIE SPA is one of the spots on our list for a visit preferably the first so that we can kick off a great vacay. I highly recommend a massage to start. This place literally has the best massage therapists compared to other places I have visited in the Montreal. She is attentive to my needs and appreciates feedback to ensure I have a great experience. I recently reluctantly lured my husband in and he was pleased to leave relaxed and approving of a repeat treatment in the future. The best part is that its conveniently located in Old Montreal and easily accessible to transportation as well as great restaurants and sites post my mini spa day. I haven't found another spa in this area that provided the same pampered experience. At our last visit we were introduced to a new machine that provided us a skin care analysis. The machine determined acne and skin pigmentation issues. I was then able to get a tailored facial that aided in rejuvenating my skin. Long story short: I wouldn't recommend anyone come here if you want a good massage and spa experience. It was the worst massage of my life, of which I have had many. The spa service and ambience was also severely lacking. If your in the area looking for a spa reserve a spot at Scandinavia Spa or Bota Bota. It is 100 times the quality at the similar prices. I got a deep tissue tissue massage on August 27. The pressure was non-existant, especially because I paid for a deep tissue massage. Even if it was a regular massage, it was really bad. It was more like someone grazing your back than any type of massage. I could not believe it was given by an RMT based on the quality of the massage. At the end of the day I paid $155 for the massage and left feeling unrelaxed and having tight muscles. On top of the horrible massage, the experience at the spa was horrible. Massage started half an hour late. The locker they gave me was broken and I was given attitude for asking for a new one. Just bad customer service.

I purchased a spa pass for my mom and her friend a couple of months back. Unfortunately, covid19 kind of derailed those plans. However, my mom just went on her visit to Avie Spa and she cannot stop talking about it. She marvelled at the customer service, the facilities were sanitary and sufficiently clean (even moreso with covid), and the massage that Lilianna gave was fantastic. Hidden Gem. I wish, I would have called them first for a better time of the day. We booked the Valentines Day SPA Package. It included the Turkish Hammam and Massage. Everything felt so personalized. Soon as you walk through the door, they knew my name and had my Cabin Ready. We started with the Hammam and used the full 30 minutes for it. For the Massage, my room was littered with Red petal roses everywhere. It was beautiful. The massage itself was really good. I suggest going with the 90 minute relaxing massage. 60 minutes is tooo short. When we were leaving from the SPA, I was provided a Fresh Rose and GIFT !!! They are truly passionate about what they do, The Team at Avie SPA always felt prepared. will be back soon.

HORRIBLE Experience !!! They cancelled my appointment after waiting 20 mins in their waiting room. This was such a waste of time!!!! I had an appointment at 2:30 today, I drove 35minutes and paid the parking. Arrived 15 mins before my appointment, waited 20min in the waiting room only to be told by the receptionist that the girl doing my facial was stuck in traffic.
