I am a very satisfied owner of a beachcomber hot tub. These well made tubs require very little maintenance but when the do, the Remington team is reliable and responsive. I recently had an electric failure with my tub and discovered the problem too late to avoid a pump freeze. Terry, the store manager coordinated a swift “house call”; tub tech Justin was able to rebuild the pump and heater system; and the owner Matt, even provided me with tech support after hours. Bravo Zulu!

If you’re looking at buying a new pool or hot tub I strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere and avoid Remington Home Leisure at all costs. We’ve bought 2 pools and 1 Beachcomber hot tub at Remington Home Leisure. Happy with the products themselves but once this business gets your money for the initial sale everything goes downhill from there. Search other reviews on Facebook, Yellow Pages, Google, etc. You’ll notice a common thread in the poor reviews. You will also notice great reviews, coincidentally made around the same time a bad review appears. These are often short and sweet statements like “fantastic professional service.” Don’t be fooled! I can speak from experience that the customer service is horrible! The owner is knowledgeable & ok to deal with, the General Manager is so-so. He can be curt and gruff at times. I would never describe the customer service here as professional. They have a huge staff turnover besides the GM and an older guy named Yuki. When it starts to get busy in spring/summer the wait for a water test is unbelievable. The seasonal staff are unsure of themselves, bicker and sometimes swear in front of customers, and seem constantly overwhelmed. I once had them mix up my samples that were clearly marked separately for the pool and hot tub. They printed out a bunch of instructions and tried to sell me hundreds of dollars worth of chemicals to fix everything. When I explained both samples were nearly perfect when I tested at home prior to going in they realized their mistake. We go elsewhere for water testing and service and the atmosphere is excellent compared to Remington. There are many great Pool and Spa businesses in the Moncton area where you would be much better off if professionalism and great customer service is important to you. My goal is to help people avoid making a big mistake in going to Remington Home Leisure because pools and spas/hot tubs are a huge expense and investment!

Matt's patience, his knowledge/expertise, his high desire to "make it right" and his integrity shone through at all times, and especially so when we encountered a few speed bumps with the heating system, post-purchase. I'd would never hesitate to deal again with Matt and his company in the future! Bottom line: 1) the product that we bought is a well made Canadian product; 2) there is a heck of a difference between 100 volt plug & play heat system versus 220 volt - 220 volt being far, far the better choice. On 110 volt, the heater does not run when the pump is on high speed with the air bubbles, whereas the 200 volt heater runs on pump high speed. Using the high speed pump is what most people prefer when in the tub; 3) if you are spending good money on a new hot tub, do not go cheap with a 100 volt system, as you may expose yourself to buyer's remorse. I suggest that you overlook that the manufacturer's marketing info leads with touting the benefits and simplicity of "100 volt plug & play"; 4) a 220 volt system is going to bring a much lower power bill than a 110 volt system because the 200 volt heater works less hard and runs less often; 5) with the benefit of hindsight I wish that Matt had taken more time with me, at the outset, to learn about my expectations and needs (on the heating piece) and then spend a goodly amount of time talking to me about the cost/benefit value proposition of 110 volt versus 220 volt. I had given Matt the impression, at the outset, that I knew what I wanted and that I understood was to expect from 110 volt heaters and it turns out that I absolutely wrong about what I thought I knew; 6) upon recommendations and assurances from Matt that 220 volt is by far the better choice for a heater, we converted our tub to 220 volt this past weekend and our needs and expectations are not only met but very much exceeded; 7) please, we all need to cut sellers, installer and contractors a lot of slack during COVID times because their supply chains are broken all over the place. And, very good people stumble a bit when their supply chains are dysfunctional as heck; 8) it is all about understanding our needs/wants and our expectations.

Even when you give them the part number you need they still manage to have no clue what you need, called looking for a ring for our skimmer told them the part number. Was told they had one drove 20 min to town only to return it because yup wrong part. Called for silicone told nope we don't sell that walked in they have 2 boxes. Unfortunate it's the only place selling Beachcomber.

Walked in and went downstairs to look at pool cues (looking for a breaking cue specifically). Nothing seemed to be in order. Someone who worked there happened to walk by, so I asked if they had any breaking cues. Got a short and sweet "No" as an answer, and that was it. No follow-up or anything at all. Ended up spending my money online. Doubt I'll ever go back again. Shame.

bought above ground pool couple years ago,thats fine they installed it.also got them to install lights inside my pool ladder.which didnt work from the start,they were supposed to bring a new one the next day.that was 6 years ago ,still waiting.i contacted them about it several times and was met with rudeness,incompetence,ignorance.this would be the last place i would shop.

Beachcombers are like Range Rovers (I've had both and equally disappointed), high cost, poor quality with a high repair cost. This could be forgiven if they didn't break on a yearly basis costing thousands and if the service at Remington wasn't the worst in the city. The customer service is lacking at this establishment. Upon entering, one of the employees passed by us without speaking, so I said hello and got a hi back while he kept walking. I chalked that up to him being in the middle of something (which was fine), as he was heading towards the steps to go downstairs. We decided to look around to wait for him to return. We walked by another employee sitting down on his cellphone, looked up at us, then looked right back down. No acknowledgement, no nothing. We continued looking around and talking. The first gentleman came back upstairs and was just walking around, while the second was still sitting in a corner on his phone. No one else was in the store. After several minutes, my husband and I made it to the back of the store and the guy sitting on his phone got up and was just watching us, but didn't even acknowledge us or offer assistance. We felt very unwelcomed and will not return. We went to other locations that sell hot tubs in town and were promptly greeted and offered assistance.

We recently purchased a spa from Remington. Delivery was great, the guys were fast and super professional. One of the guys returned later in the day and thoroughly reviewed everything with me to complete the setup. The following day he came back as he spotted a small revision that was made to the control panel that was not yet documented in the manual, and he put the spa to the correct power setting. Good attention to detail, and very educational for a first time spa buyer!
