My first experience at Egyptian Body Spa was delightful. I was more than satisfied with my waxing results. Cathy is a very honest lady and did her work to her fullest potential. I'll definitely be revisiting. That was my first experience. My second experience I was left with bruises, blood clots, a fever, (yes I said fever... Google it), and I endured unhygienic conditions. Cathy has two spaces available in her spa. While she was doing a full body wax for me, she scheduled someone else on the other bed for one of her other services. She has a curtain that can not be drawn all the way, therefore, if your a private person and would like people not to see your goodies... then good luck! Furthermore, between attending to the other customer and myself, she would be trying to do two things at one time without washing her hands! Absolutely nasty! She also has a tendency to insult people, while talking their business, for example, criticizing your body, which is blatant body shaming if you ask me. I mean.. I'm here to wax, not get insulted and be told my hairs are too stubborn or grown in multiple directions and it's impossible for you to take them out! When my waxing was complete parts of my body were black and blue, other parts were bruised and clotted, and I got a fever all from the harshness of the way I was being waxed.. and trust me it's not the first time I was being waxed. When it came time to pay.. (now she has changed her website.. but at that time it was not updated), however she clearly told me loudly while her other client was there that because my body hair gave her trouble, so I should pay her extra. Are fidjsksjdjdjdb kidding me? Lol ok.. so here's your payment and the $20 for my stubborn hair that was going to be your tip! So now.. forget about any tip! That's exactly the approach I took, because.. one, don't advertise something you can't live up to.. and two, clearly you ain't that professional if you can't get my hair out. That's all I gotta say folks. I have never gone to a waxing salon and be told that you owe more because you have more hair. ... so like are we going to start measuring the mass of the hair and charging people based on the weight of the hair because they have more or less. Lol! Please! If you ask me that's absolutely ridiculous. Let me be the one to judge your service and determine if you should be paid extra or if I should include that tip. And from the service received and unprofessional and unsanitary conditions, I think it didn't deserve anything extra, especially sans the tip.

Went here last Saturday! I wanted to try out spa (like this was the very first time having one) and conveniently it's located near where I live, so decided to give a try! I did 2 hour session. Cathy was very attentive. I tried out sudatonic(heat wrap), the body detox, and massage. It was very relaxing and that night I passed out on my bed, slept like baby. I do over sleep but I occasionally wakes up throughout my sleep, but that day. I just slept even my cats were breaking stuffs on my table. Probably going back to try out more session!

Please, for your own health and safety, do NOT get a Brazilian wax here. I have never written a negative Google Review before, however after getting treated here around 5 months ago and still feeling beyond shaken by the expirience, I felt that it was necessary for me to share my waxing horror story so as to stop other people from having to go through a similarly horrific ordeal. So here it is: Upon being let into Cathy's home, I was brought down to her dimly lit and somewhat scary-looking basement/spa. There are two side-by-side tables there with a sort of shower curtain separator between them. They are both visible upon entry, and I became immediately aware of how exposed I was about to be, as Cathy seemed comfortable allowing clients to enter in overlapping slots (as I was walking down the stairs, another client walked up past me). I was then told to remove my pants and underwear right in the middle of the floor, and she then urged me to climb onto the waxing table to place my naked behind on a single square sheet of paper that she had put down moments before. The table had evidently not been cleaned. From this point the best words I can use to describe my expirience are: "terrifying" and "agony". The waxing was EXTREMELY painful, far worse than I have ever experienced in the past (having had around 40+ waxes for context). She used both soft and hard wax on the same areas, often overlapping the two. She would reapply wax to the same spots over and over again which left me with physical scarring that took several months to heal. In addition to the skin tears however, were the burns I received from the wax itself. Her wax was FAR too hot and after repeatedly telling her that it was too hot and asking her to please remove the wax from the heat, she would just nod and then physically BLOW on the wax that was on the stick that she was using, and proceed to apply it. As another issue, she also only wore one glove during the process, and it was on the hand that she was holding the stick with, so her bare hand touched me many times In addition to the multiple health and safety concerns involved with the waxing, she also spoke to me in depth about the client who had passed me on the stairs, and discussed private details of her treatment with me which seemed profoundly inappropriate. As many other Reviewers have said, Cathy is a very nice person. She was quite kind to me and was very genuine in sharing stories from her own life which I found to be refreshing. However, unfortunately as much as I would have loved to review her establishment positively based on her personality alone, the actual waxing expirience itself was by FAR the worst I have ever had. The whole thing was so painful and so unsanitary-feeling that I actually brought myself to get checked for potential infections the following week. Overall, this expirience was fairly traumatic and I was unable to receive another wax for several months after.

I am NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. This was the most painful experience I've ever had. Cathy said she is 15 years experienced but it didn't feel like that. First of all, I was not given anything to change. She only offered a small towel to cover myself. Then she started applying wax to cover the complete area at one go and then peeled off with the same wax strip which made it very painful. The wax was too hot which I kept mentioning but still I left with few burns on my skin. At the time of Brazilian wax, she applied soft wax on top of hard wax and then pulled it using wax strip which I have never seen in my past waxing experiences. That made the waxing more painful. She didn't perform post wax clean up either and I had wax all over my hair. It took lot of shampooing and oil to clean that up. I was lucky the wax came out of my hair. The whole experience was scary and horrifying. She is a nice lady but I would not recommend her for waxing.

If you want to spend hundreds on rash medications and creams, then go use their wax service. Also if you think you can handle a week or two of itching and irritating skin with bruises all over your body, then go use their service. The place is disgusting and products they use are terrible. Aside from that, if you decided to get a massage in there then I guarantee that you will feel worse when you leave than when you came. Honestly, this is the worst spa experience anyone could possibly have. Do not waste your money and time, and also keep in mind how much money and time you have to spend afterwards between doctors and pharmacies trying to find cures to what kind of damage they have done to your body and skin. Even one star is toooooo much rating for them.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My friend and I went here for Brazilians. The owner didn't know what she was doing. For the ladies who have gotten a Brazilian, you know that you can feel kind of exposed. This lady made both my friend and I feel SO uncomfortable. She kept criticizing the way that my friends hair grew, saying it's not supposed to grow like that. She dripped wax on my top which then in turned stained it, stains I can't get out. She tried to charge us more than the price listed on her website saying our hair was "so hard to remove". I just couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional this lady was - we couldn't get out of there fast enough. I've had Brazilians elsewhere and I have never encountered someone like this. Ladies, please beware. She also wrote a review for herself here under her name "Cathy Siddiqui".

I would strongly recommend against getting a Brazilian Wax at the Egyptian Body Spa. While Cathy is a nice lady, the overall experience was unnesscarily painful and uncomfortable, and it left me with multiple physical scars. For clarification, this was not my first Brazilian wax. Upon arrival, I was taken to her basement, which was small, dimly lit and cluttered. There was already a client who was receiving a body treatment of some sort. I was then instructed to take off my pants (in front of her and the other client) and to lay on a spa bed/table that was a foot apart from the other client's bed/table with no curtain or wall separation. Without cleaning the area to be waxed, she began waxing with minimal care using improper technique. Specifically the wax was over heated and she waxed large sections over the same area repeatedly. Additionally, she did not clean off the wax, and only provided me with dry tissue paper (which is insufficient and ineffectual). Based on the Google reviews, I thought that the Egyptian Body Spa was a professional establishment with high quality services. Based on my experience, however, this was anything but.

I went for a face wax, after reading great reviews here. Very dirty, the place hadn't been cleaned up despite making an appointment. Face wax wasn't pleasant... very harsh on my face, and resulted in minor burns that took some time to fade.

I went here for a year and was mostly satisfied with the service. Katy was always accommodating to clients, even for last minute appointments which I appreciated. Good prices, but I had issues with the waxing a few times. On more than one occasion the wax burnt me and took weeks to heal, and sometimes spots of hair were left. I have since switched to another place I like a little better.
