Such a letdown after reading other great reviews. Where do I even start...? Service: slow, uninterested. 30 minutes to serve 3 bowls of chowder and a Greek salad when there was only one other table occupied. Female couldn’t be bothered to come around to the table to take our order, instead hollered at is from behind the counter. Food: Chowder was adequate, not hot but not cold. The biscuit was flaky but a knife would have been great to spread the butter (servers both disappeared for 15 minutes, gave up waiting to ask them). Greek salad was a joke. It was served in a cup-sized bowl, maybe had a single leaf of lettuce shredded, one cherry tomato cut in half, a few peppers and olives. It barely qualified as a side salad, and was unfortunately supposed to be a meal. The dressing was olive oil with dried oregano sprinkled into it. Gross. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but wow. The only reason they’re getting 2 stars is because they made a flaky biscuit and the place was fairly clean.

A great restaurant in Louisbourg. Featuring fresh seafood caught almost daily thus restaurant feels just like home with home cooked meals. Very popular in town and you have a chance to sew regulars and mix with local folk.

Small portion. I ordered stuffed chicken breat. I recieved what I think was a stuff thigh. It was definitely not a thigh as described in the menu. Disappointing.

Great for a small town restaurant. Lots of seating, great food, friendly service. Not too much to choose from the menu was small.

Lunch: The seafood chowder is fabulous. Chunks of Haddock, shrimp and scallops. All fresh seafood. Would love the recipe. We also had the Fish & chips (Haddock) and Crab roll. Both were excellent. All fresh seafood. If you ever get to Louisbourg, NS you need to stop here.

As a trained Chef and co-owner of an award winning Vanvouver restaurant. Nice to see an eatery open up in the village. Sounds like the "Chef" needs to get off the boat and be a Chef. Tacky at best. Good luck next year. Always a struggle first year.

Chris Sanfino

The food was good but limited selection. The restaurant was closing for the season. Friendly service

Delicious...pan-fried haddock was moist and tasty! Service great.

Great coffee. Mocha and Americano were great. Potted coffee was average. Pistachio square was delicious. I was here with my friend Aaron having an administrative meeting for the Cape Breton Wave and Jellyfish Watch group. I think they thought we were a gay couple. The interior is really nice here, it's a new place with lots of interesting art pieces hanging on the walls. Comfortable seating inside with a patio seating area. Unfortunately the food was not as great as we would have hoped. Reading the reviews I was expecting to be blown away. The fish tacos while tasty were kind of bland, the home made coleslaw again was not as tangy as it looked. The nachos were average quality, nothing special going on there - in fact they could have melted the cheese a bit more. The staff were extremely friendly and talkative, they were trying to make sure we had a great experience. Prices were decent, I would give this place 3 stars if it wasn't for the friendly staff, great coffee and beautiful interior. I'd go again for coffee and a light lunch, and I might want to try what they can do for dinner.

Dinner for two was delightful. Fish and vegetables were cooked to perfection. Medium rare steak could have been a touch rarer. Pies were incredible, baked on-site early this morning.
