Was squeezed in for a last minute cut today, and was very happy with the service I received! First, the cut was done perfectly - exactly how I asked. Secondly, I was in and out of the salon within 40 minutes (which is surprising given that I have very long hair). My stylist was super friendly, bubbly, and positive, and overall it was happy experience! In sum, it offers high quality service for reasonable prices. 10/10 would go again :)

First time going here and I felt instantly welcomed! I've struggled to find a stylist who wanted to get to know me and my hair needs. Nadina was friendly, easy to talk to, and accepting of everything I asked of her! She let me bring my own hair products in, constantly checked in with me on my comfort level, and when I asked if I could leave with my hair in a deep conditioner cap instead of styled she was happy to let me do whatever worked best for me. For someone who frequently stresses out about getting my hair cut, I highly recommend Scizzorhands Salon & Spa!

I can't even describe the amount of professionalism and care that went into my hair correction today. I came in with a pretty abysmal hair situation and Sarah somehow managed to do legit magic and turn my hair into something ABOVE AND BEYOND what I could have ever dreamed of. I have never felt this confident before that I look my best, and I owe it to this salon, and Sarah's top notch skills, patience, and general care to make me not only happy, but overjoyed with the end result. Terrible experience. I went in with my partner looking for 2 basic hair cuts. We booked appointments a week or so in advance for the same time. We live an hour and a half away and we had never been there before so we weren't familiar with the parking. We accidentally passed it and had to turn around to get back to park once we realized where it was. This resulted in us being about 6 minutes late. As soon as we got there we introduced ourselves and the girl hairdresser reprimanded us for being late and said she now didn't have time to cut my partner's hair. (He wanted a really basic trim.) We were shocked by this because 6 minutes shouldn't make or break a haircut if you allot sufficient time for a client. He would have been happy with just a dry cut or to skip the blow dry if need be but she refused to cut it. (We think perhaps she double booked herself that day or only allotted him a few minutes) It was a really awkward experience and I felt really uncomfortable with the way she handled the situation. I felt bad for the other hairdresser there, we were really looking forward to the day. But it was so awkward and uncomfortable, we won't be coming back.

After years of box dying my hair black I decided to strip the colour my self to go back to my natural… After realizing what I had done to my hair I decided to go to Scizzorhands (recommended by a friend) my original colour correction consultation was with David, he was amazing, kind and professional due to scheduling I was unable to get in with him BUT was introduced to Sarah and I’m so happy I was!! Today I spent 4 hours with Sarah and I couldn’t be more pleased. She is so amazingly talented I can’t even explain it. She corrected my hot mess hair to something very similar to my natural while maintaining the health of it and not pushing the limits. Though we did have to trim the ends off I was SO pleased with the outcome. I am so happy Sarah was able to take care of me. After this experience I will NEVER be colouring my own hair again and will continue to see Sarah! I would recommend her to absolutely everyone!

Glynis has been my stylist for some time now. She suggested a new hairstyle that shaved a few years off my look and more recently, when I showed her a picture of someone with red hair that I liked, she recreated the colour and it looks great. I've had many compliments and she just keeps making me look younger! The receptionist, Nicole, is friendly and helpful and they are always as flexible as they can be in working around my often hectic schedule. I highly recommend this salon.

I have been going to this salon since I was a child and have always had an awesome experience. The stylists know me so well that I never even have to tell them what to do, but they make sure I always walk out looking great. In the past I have gotten up-do's for graduation and prom (along with my makeup and nails done) and both were lovely and exactly what I was looking for. The new renovations and colours are amazing and the whole building looks great. I will not go anywhere else because any time I have, I have been unsatisfied. David had taken my hair that was damaged and crispy looking highlights from a year and a half ago and transformed my hair by pure magical hands into a gorgeous dimensional colour with a flattering cut. He was extremely knowledgeable about colour matching and current trends, the staff were all so friendly and helpful! overall such a wonderful experience, no anxiety or pressure whatsoever, i always have so much anxiety around my hair and i felt completely at ease and felt i could trust anyone there to do whatever to my hair!!! cannot wait to go back and continue on my hair journey with David!

I've made about 4 visits here so far and I have absolutely no complaints. Everyone here is friendly and the service is awesome! I got a haircut here a few days ago and I left happy, but after a day with my new style, I didn't really like it. I was hesitant to call and ask them to fix it, but I'm glad I did. Even though everything was my mistake, the people there were very happy to fix my hair for me, free of charge. Since my hairdresser refused to accept any more tips from me, I thought I would leave a review instead. Both me and my wallet are happy with this place, so I definitely recommend it!

I just had my first haircut at Scizzorhands and while the staff were accommodating and kind, I found that the final price of my haircut was very high. I have very short hair and the cut was very quick, and while I usually get charged the men's price, today I was charged a high-end women's price. I've had better haircuts for significantly lower prices, though I did enjoy my experience overall.

I may be the oldest.... make that 'longest standing'... customer Glynnis has. Mid 1970's.... Glynnis was single then... When I lived in Florida... I flew back to her. When I dated a hairdresser in FLA - I tried her and fired her (as a haircutter !) Now her daughter cuts my hair when Glynnis isn't available. Needless to say.... Personally I have been going here for the 7 months. I have had 5 visits and each visit made me come back again. I am extremely picky when it comes to getting my hair done, often I am disappointed and dont return. However as I mentioned before I have been back here 5 times. The girls here are extremely talented, Glynis is simply outstanding, her girls are professional, approachable, and very helpful and nice. I would recommend Sizzorhands to anyone, all my friends and family. What you pay for you get back in return and then some. I had black hair going in there in January and am now a beautiful blonde. They did miracles. Honeslty everyone has their own opinion based on their experiences, but dont not try something because one person may have a bad day and decided to take it out on their hairdressers, stylists, and estheticians. People who slam businesses are often miserable, find negatives things about everything and can never be happy! Next time you want your hair, nails, makeup done come here I greatly recommend it!

I was sincerely pleased with my experience at Scizzorhands this past March. From the moment I walked in to book my appointment I was treated with great care and kindness by the woman at the front desk. On the day of my appointment I was pressed for time as I had an important event to attend and everyone at the salon made sure I would be able to get to where I needed to be on time. My hair and makeup were done with absolute perfection without me even having to give my input. Both the owner as my hair stylist and the amazing makeup artist understood my ideas and delivered an even better finished product than I could have imagined. My hair and makeup lasted from the morning until the evening with me performing a voice recital in between. As an opera singer, I have had my hair and makeup done numerous times and I can say with great confidence this was one of the best if not the best times. I would definitely trust Scizzorhands with my aesthetics for a performance again.

Myself and family have been going to Scizzorhands for 13 years - best shop in town - wouldn't trust ANYONE else with our hair. Excellent service, prompt, professional. Stylists are very interactive, ask for feedback as the work progresses to ensure satisfaction, provide suggestions and always go above and beyond .. its obvious they 'know their stuff'. They've accommodated me on many, many occasions, even working after hours to tend to my 85 year old mother. The owner runs a tight ship and has an obvious delightful, friendly and professional rapport with her staff and clients alike. I've sat in her chair and witnessed folks coming in for corrections from other shops, only to see the customer leave thrilled with their results and expectations exceeded. I enjoy seeing the clients' before and after when the come in the shop .. the transformations are remarkable. In the 13 years I've been coming to Scizzorhands - myself or family members had never had a bad experience or outcome - and we've had the "full monty" of services - weddings, proms, colour , highlights, esthetics, makeup, preparation for professional photo shoots ... wouldn't trust any other shop to provide such exceptional, consistent and friendly service. I have and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop for any and all services. Keep up the great work!!

I've been a client of Scizzorhands for many years and have never had a bad or even unsatisfactory experience. I've always found the people to be friendly, professional, and personable. The salon is always clean and bright and the stylists are always attentive to their clients. The prices are reasonable and I never feel rushed. I was present when a customer once complained about their result. I was impressed that management dealt with it immediately and never made excuses - all the while, treating the customer with respect and dignity. There is a lot of construction in front of the shop these days and, on my last visit, I noticed one of the managers requested the road crew move pylons as their placement made turns unsafe for their clients. Scizzorhands cares!

A very good place to get your hair cut if you're a guy. I made an appointment and showed Brittany a picture of the kind of cut I wanted and voila it was done. Absolute bare minimum went into my haircut. I went with pictures and the result was not even close. I commented that it didn't really look like what I had asked for and was told when I flat ironed it myself at home it would look good. I've never had a hairstylist not completely style my hair and still claim he had given me what I asked for. I have nothing but great things to say about this salon, it really is a hidden gem in the city. After neglecting my regular hair cuts after moving home from out west, I was hesitant to see someone new as my hair is very long. After reading some reviews online I called the salon(on a Saturday)and managed to get in same day! I was booked with David, when I got there there was no wait and everyone was friendly. David was amazing and did such a great cut, and was full of some great tips! My hair has not felt this healthy in awhile! I was also looking for some new products and was recommended one, when it wasn’t available they ordered it in for me. Really great service :)

I stumbled upon this while attending Western and haven't found something quite as good since. I don't even live in London anymore and I go here whenever I can. For a men's cut, it's more expensive than a cheap barber shop but not much more than somewhere like FirstChoice, and the quality is way better.

If you go to Scizzorhands get your hair done by Bethany. She is hilarious and always does a great job. The Salon itself is really nice and clean, in an accessible area and the prices are reasonable. They're very accommodating - stayed after hours to finish up on my hair and gave me a brow wax when I didn't have an appointment. After trying A TON of different salons, I can honestly say this one is my favorite. I would definitely recommend this place!

After hearing good things about Scizzorhands, I decided to give the place a try. At first I got a consultation to see how much the price would be for my hair type. Feeling that the cost was reasonable I proceeded to book an appointment. However, after my hair cut the stylist proceed to charge me extra than what was quoted. Along with that, the stylist spent less than 10 minutes actually cutting my hair. For the prices they charged, I could have gone to other London salons (e.g. Salon Entrenous, Vanity House) and received better service.

I have been going to Scizzorhands for the past couple of years and I have been very happy with the service at this salon. I think that all the staff there do a great job and are always professional. Glynis, the owner, has been styling my hair lately and I think she does a wonderful job. I also get other treatments there and have never been disappointed. In short, I think you should check this place and give them a chance. Don't always believe it if someone has written a bad review, as the person was probably just having a bad day, and there comments would not be supported by the average customer. If you go to Scizzorhands you will be glad that you did!

(which is the same price, if not a little less, and they curl my hair and put products in it, my hair wasn't even conditioned when it was washed)

Wow Lemon Pie sounds like you chose your email name aptly. You sound like a real sourpuss, I have been going to this salon for over 20 years and the 2 people that do makeup are very sweet and welcoming and the new Spa upstairs is beautiful. I have had these services and so have many of my friends and family and never heard one of them complain as a matter of fact many became regular customers there. When you say you were there a while back it must have been a long while because the Spa upstairs has been open for some time. You dramatically mention this event "has never left me" like makeup is some kind of life changing event. When in fact it is as easy as washing your face and reapplying and doing a "better job" as you state you were able to do anyway. It seems a little odd to me that you cannot even recall some of the services you asked for but you do recall that they refused to do these services. Also seems odd that you did not noticed your "orange" face until moments before going to your event. This would indicate that you came to the salon fully ready to go immediately to your event, and never looked in any mirror as you left the salon which is FULL of mirrors, or you went home and got ready for an event and never looked in a mirror until moments before leaving. If you were unsatisfied you should have said so at the time, instead of writing a review many months later as if it was some kind of life event you could not get over. Perhaps you should consider changing you email name to sour grapes!

Do not go there for microblading your eyebrows. The first time the person who did my eye brows did not do anything just few light strokes. She would leave me in the room for 45 minutes and come back for few minutes and leave again. I complained to her and she did my eye brow again and after 3 months half of my left brows had no color and I had to fill it in with pencil. Avoid head ache and go somewhere else.

I've been here twice and both times the stylists didn't seem to even try to provide a positive experience for the client, they seemed very bored, annoyed, unfriendly, and wanted you out the door. One actually said "do you want your hair washed or no? It's up to you I don't care." The other stylist was complaining to me about other clients and seemed to mock clients in general. The haircuts were both really bad too, one time I had asked for a short bob and I ended up with a cut that was a really intense shag on one side, and a mushroom on the other, with long pieces hanging out that hadn't been cut. I think around $40 is reasonable for a haircut however I've been to other salons that are around the same price point and the service and atmosphere was far superior. I regret going here, I only went because I admit I am impatient and my regular stylist is always booked up. I consider this a cheap "chop shop" place that people go to for one of two reasons: It is lower priced, or they need a haircut right now and aren't willing to wait for a spot with a good stylist to open up. Never again.

Amazing service, my boyfriend and I got hair cuts here last night and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I got a beautiful layered cut by Ann Marie. She was very talented and also noticed I had some highlights and some patches that were alittle off so she told me to call her next time I need highlights and I definitely will be. My boyfriend got a hair cut and beard trim from the apprentice and she did a wonderful job and she was so kind and got him out of his comfort zone with his hair. A full refund was offerd and we found a solution to my issue with the product. In the end I'm keeping my purchase after discussing the issues I was having.
