I enjoy going to Nuva spa, the ambiance is nice and I love their confirmation & reminder service (it is very convenient). However, what I love the most at Nuva is my hairstylist Angela Lambroulia. She is absolutely amazing, and is always on top of her game (she can colour, cut and style and I can always depend on her to offer the best quality service). if you were to go to Nuva, definitely see Angela, as she is the hidden gem of this place.

Angela Lambroulia is literally the best hairdresser and colourist. She lifted my hair which is black Indian hair to a perfect blonde balayage on the FIRST TRY! I was freaking out how good she is because the previous hairdressers I went too at other upscale salons in Montreal gave me disgusting highlights or made my hair copper. Angela made it a perfect ash blonde balayage that blended so well it looked good as it grew out. I got so many compliments on my hair and everyone would ask where I got it done.

Unfortunately my "set" hair went frizzy after an hour since the right anti frizz product was not used for my curly hair. I expected a lot more considering the price point. Nice staff though. A few days later now and I've noticed the haircut is also quite poorly done in the front. Considering that it was one of the most pricey cuts I've had, I'm really disappointed...

I went to Nuva with an image of a “lob” hairstyle, knowing exactly what I wanted! Repeated numerous times that I really hate “bobs” so want a dead straight cut(not rounded like a bob) and the same length all the way around. I now have very short hair and a bob hairstyle that I am completely unhappy with. There is also parts that are uneven but I can’t do anything until it grows as it’s too short. Really unhappy.

For me getting my hair washed at a salon is supposed to be a great experience. But instead I was put on a sink that my neck could not reach and the lady wet my whole back. Saw this place on Instagram thought it’d be good... I had long brown virgin hair & I just wanted to lighten my hair a bit with balayage... $300 later I come out half blonde!! I’m so upset with my hair now, it’s so damaged and my natural curls won’t even curl, my hair is so brittle and dead... I did go back to try to fix this mess but still after a few months my hair condition is just dreadful. Wish I never went to this place, I’m so disappointed and feel so insecure about my hair now.

Angela is really the best!!! She really knows her way with the bleach. When I started to have my hair done by Angela and I never though I could have healthy blond hair but she made it possible. I absolutely love the way she does highlights with the secret sauce of the root smudge, it is just perfection! She is also very good at cutting and will always listen to you, won’t ever chop more than agreed. Angela is like the blond whisperer, she knows exactly how long to leave the bleach on and will never forget about you. She really takes the time with the placement of the foils, the hair just always falls beautifully no matter which way it is styled. Honestly Angela is just a gem, she is very knowledgeable in her field and also a really sweet person.

I live in the US but was visiting my parents in Montreal heard such amazing things about this place is decided to give it a try Lyne was the one who did my hair is asked for an ombree and even showed her the picture and was specific I didn't want the yellowish kind of blond she started with my hair it took forever she applied two masks on my hair without asking if i was fine with it it took 6hours and by the way my hair is shoulder length she kind of cut my hair aLl this for 300$ each mask was about 50 $ and I didn't even get the ombre or the color I wanted now here we are about a month and half after my visit and I hate my hair so much I need to get it fixed if I knew how rip off they are in wouldn't have went there for sure I gave it 2 star because the place is very nice and the girl at the sink was very friendly

(Original) Je fais faire mes extensions de cils ailleurs depuis plus de 10 ans, mais pour la première fois j’ai dû aller au Spa Nüva. Pour faire une histoire courte, suite à la pose des cils, j’ai dû me rendre chez l’optométriste en urgence, car mes yeux étaient grandement infectés et rouges avec beaucoup d’inflammation et d’irritation douloureuse. Bref, j’ai reçu une prescription de 3 différentes gouttes pour traiter mes yeux pendant 3 semaines et je ne pouvais même plus porter mes verres de contact pendant ce temps... L’HORREUR!!! Je suis moi-même pharmacienne, alors je peux vous confirmer que ce traitement était pour un problème occulaire inquiétant. Lorsque j’ai informé en détails les « personnes en charge » du Spa Nüva, ils m’ont traité comme un simple numéro, comme si cette situation n’était pas grave, alors on voit très bien que leur clientèle n’est pas importante. Leur façon de gérer la situation/problème a été médiocre, à vrai-dire, ils n’ont absolument RIEN géré puisqu’ils n’ont RIEN fait du tout... C’est tout simplement INACCEPTABLE!!!

Just had a haircut from stylist Maggie and it was my first visit with her. After waiting for 25 min she came to me never apologized for being late. Then once I told her what I wanted she proceeded by trying to sell me every product under the sun. She asked what shampoo I used, what treatments I used I felt interrogated. It wasn't pleasant and for a 90$ cut in style that was rushed in a 35 min time slot shes definitely not worth it. Don't waste your time and money on this hairstylist shes all about selling and way to into herself big fail.

Very disappointing experience with this salon, I came in for a haircut and was told my reservation did not exist. Even though I had received a text confirmation, which I was told meant nothing. Was there a total of 5 HOURS for a color and treatment. First of all the stylist was over 30 minutes late for my appointment, I wouldn't have minded so much if someone would have at least came to apologize for the wait but they just left me sitting there. I should have walked out but i was looking forward to trying this place. Color did not turn out the way it was promised so i had to ask to get it fixed. Was extremely pricey. Thought I would have a better experience since it's a nice looking place and good reviews. The assistant was nice. Will stick with my usual salon.

Very disappointed with my first--and last--experience at NUVA. Took a day off work specifically because I desperately needed a massage. Decided to try this place since I was going to be in the area. Show up to my appointment only to be told "they made a mistake and booked the wrong day" and no one was there to step in instead. I wasted one of my very few vacation days. I was expecting a call from the manager but no one called or followed up. Terrible client experience. A big disappointment and lack of professionalism... Not going back.

I went there as my hairstylist if 10 years retired. I got a young hairstylist by the name of Lucia who did something different than what I had asked. I had to go back 4 days later for a toner as my hair wasn’t ashy blonde anymore but orange (400$ hair turned orange). A month later, I went back and got amazing Angela! She fixed my hair perfectly bringing the balayage colour up as it was low and fixed the orange completely. It was beautiful and so many compliments! She offered me a toner 2 weeks later to cancel the new highlights that were copper due to the previous colour. She’s my go to from now on! Angela is the best! The first experience left me disappointed but the only reason they get more than 1 star is bc of Angela and only Angela

Obviously, mot the most comfortable situation with shoes on. Had parafin treatment on hands at additional cost, definitely not worth it. Since they did not take the time to air dry my polished nails, they had smudged by the time I got to my car. Beware, their site offers a 10% discount for first time visitors but don't give it. I discovered this later in the day when I went on their web-site to check the pricing which was more than they had mentioned when I booked the appointment almost 2 wks prior to the visit. When I contacted them about the discount I was told, "everyone makes mistakes and we'll give it to you on your next visit". Why would I even consider returning after the horrible experience. They never offered that I return to be reimbursed the 10% without having to come back for a second visit. Total cost with tip, parafin and nail polish153.00. Totally riduculous!

The first time I came to this salon was because I dyed my hair at home and it turned out to be an orange mess. I was very upset and scared for my hair to get damaged. I always wanted blonde hair but never had that result even from other hairdressers. However, Rita Malko was the savior. I contacted her last minute no appointment and she added me to her busy schedule the next day because she is amazing and so caring about her clients. she took all the time necessary to make sure I leave the salon happy. I went here yesterday for a cut looking for a hairdresser closer to home that is open on my days off because otherwise I absolutely adore my regular hairdresser. The salon is very clean and modern which is a lot of fun. My hairdresser was very knowledgeable and I got a very nice cut that was suitable for my hair length and face. Despite this though, it was a very physically painful experience. My hair was not brushed properly before she started to dry and she did not use any products to detangle. Instead my hair and head were ripped and pulled very painfully. When it was clear I was in pain I got the “that’s what happens with long hair” as a response. I’ve never left a hair salon in pain and I’m still sore today. Unfortunately for that I do not think I will return.. very unfortunate..

Had a wonderful experience with Ricardo, he took time to talk over my hair issues and suggested what would be best for me. The prices are a little higher then what ive paid at other places but for high quality service you do pay more. I loved it so much that i suggested my daughter to go and she went with Ricardo as well.. :) We also had Microbladding done with Amal, she is amazing and we are very happy with both our hair and eyebrows. I Just had the pleasure of having Angela cut my hair! I am very picky with my hair and the 8/10 times I come home from the hairdresser I am always crying because of how much I regret the haircut but today Angela TRANSFORMED my hair!!! The lady who took care of my manicure left in the middle of my treatment and came back every 15 minutes, then left. My hairdresser burned me twice and was not at all smiling. And my makeup artist's brushes didn't seem very clean. Result: pimples for 3 weeks. In short, they made me resplendent for this important day, but there were more negative points than positive ones. Les lieux étaient très luxueux et le personnel de l'accueil était très souriant. Tout allait bien avant que mes rendez-vous commencent. La dame qui s'occupait de ma manucure est partie au milieu de mon traitement et revenait aux 15 minutes, puis repartait. Ma coiffeuse m'a brûlée deux fois et n'était pas du tout souriante. Et les pinceaux de ma maquilleuse ne semblaient pas très propres. Résultat: des boutons pendant 3 semaines. Bref, elles m'ont rendu resplendissante pour ce jour important, mais il y a eu plus de points négatifs que de positifs. J'y retournerais peut-être, mais lors d'une journée moins achalandée pour avoir un meilleur service.

Two words... FAIRY BLONDEMOTHER! If you are looking to go blonde, have "tried" to go blonde somewhere else and got mediocre results and/or came out brown, or are just looking for the best in the industry; ladies and gents, look no further than Angela! When I say she is truly the best, she is. I have been to hair salons in Toronto, Ottawa, and all over Montreal to find the best and I finally have. Once you found the one, you just know lol and she is it! Never have regrets or doubts; everything she touches turns out amazing. I travel far and wide to get to her and she is worth every km. Worst experience ever!! I booked with Maggie for a hair color transfo, from black to light brown with higlights. I was extremely surprised and disapointed that Maggie wasnt the one doing the color remover and the color on my hair. She only did the highlights. Her 18yr old assistant did most of the job, sadly she had no skills and it was a disaster! I was there from 10:45am to 7:30pm!Maggie probably worked on my hair for maximum 1 hour. She had so many clients through the day and obviously didnt have time for me... For the price i paid, i deserved to receive the best service from a professional hairdresser. Assistants are there to assist, not to do almost everything. At least Maggie should hire assistants that are GOOD !! I regret so much going there. The service was extremely bad and the result on my hair was very unatural! I asked for a balayage but i got small highlights that only showed up on top of my head. Now i need to go fix this somewhere else!

Beware of pricing. Arrived with pre-washed hair. Service received: Hair wet, trim of 1cm (med length hair) and a blow dry. More than a little surprised to receive a bill of $95. When I questioned Anthony (the hairdresser) he simply told me that's my price. The receptionist said that the policy of Nuva was that the hairdresser charges whatever they want. I was offered a one time 10% off when I questioned the price. My hair trim was nothing more than average and my blow dry flat. This is not a salon that basis its' prices on service received but instead on whatever they feel like charging. Buyer beware, I do NOT recommend this salon or this hairdresser. If I could post 0 stars that would be my rating.
