Worst customer servize ever. They dont take responsibility for anything. I paid 250 dollars for my hair and the quality of work was extremely poor. My hair were overbleached and got so damaged even after paying extra for olaplex. They have very high turnover rate, everytime you go there will be a new person doing your hair. If you are a picky person then this place is not for you. Find someone experieced to do your hair rather than wasting your time in this salon.

Taline, the owner, is an incredible woman. She runs a really beautiful salon, and pours her passion into it. Her staff is dedicated and they feel safe there while still working through the pandemic. Micho is an incredible hairstylist, who also listens carefully to his customers. I have been going to them for over 8 years now, and since I moved here from Brazil this is the first time I find a salon that reminds me of the quality and care we have back home. Customer service was great! From the moment I walked in the door everyone smiled and said hello. There were nice warm slippers for your feet, which was a blessing on a cold and wet day. I originally booked a spa day at Kur for part of a bachelorette party and after the bachelorette party fell through, the owner was very accommodating and allowed me to come to the spa another day that worked better with my schedule, it was great because it allowed me to spend the deposit I had put down on myself. The first service I had done was a Brazilian and facial waxing. The aesthetician I had (Jen) is a WAXING WIZARD. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD SUCH A PLEASANT, COMFORTABLE, AND PAIN FREE EXPERIENCE GETTING A BRAZILIAN. She also did an amazing job on my facial waxing. I then experienced the “Fresh Garden Spa Pedicure” and teeth whitening. The pedicure was very relaxing and my feet felt much better after this treatment than an average pedicure. I also went up two shades whiter with their teeth whitening. (Highly recommend you spend the money to get teeth whitening done professionally instead of messing around with an at home kit). I then got a full set of gel nails (by Sherah, I think her name was) and she did a beautiful job. She took the time to be mindful and pay attention to her work and you can tell she takes pride in perfection. Kur also has a great selection of colours for both gel and regular nail polish. Finally, I had my hair cut and coloured by the lovely Stephanie, who also did an excellent job and who was very easy to talk to. This was my first time coming to Kur and I didn’t know what to expect but my expectations were far exceeded. All of the staff who work here are constantly on their toes to make sure you’re comfortable, happy, and enjoying yourself. They have excellent bedside manner and all staff I encountered were not only friendly, helpful, and good at their jobs, but they were easy to talk to, it was an absolute pleasure to spend the day here and I will definitely be back. I also found their prices VERY REASONABLE once I experienced the HIGH QUALITY of their services.

First off, I've been here a few times but only due to convenience as I live just around the corner. The place is pleasing to eye and the website is nicely done and easy to navigate. Do not get sucked in by this as many of my neighbours have, heck, it even worked on me lol. The prices are ridiculous or are what you would expect at a high end salon with many level 3 stylists. This place is not like that and in the years that I have been living by Kur I have seen many a stylist come and go so you're not likely to get the same person twice and most are newbies straight out of school. Not good when you're paying top dollar. Also, do not bother with a quote over the phone. They will not honor it whatsoever when you arrive and are quite rude if you dispute the original price given. The last time I came I asked for a lot of highlights and wound up paying $160 for what should have been a partial. No joke, my friends didn't even notice the difference. Not to mention I was first quoted $125 with a level 1 stylist and my hair wasn't even blown dry so I could save money. Please do your research and look elsewhere first. This place is nothing more than a glorified First Choice.

I got my hair done here for the first time earlier this year in July with Stephanie and she did a great job then! I was impressed with her level of care, and professionalism. I returned back in December, to get a hair trim. I was so disappointed with the professionalism given and lack of effort. She spent about what seemed 3-5 minutes trimming my hair - I got an inch taken off. For the hair around my face, I wanted it a bit shorter to frame my face, and once I was home, I noticed that one side was longer than the other side. She blow dried my hair but she was pretty rough with it and didn't make sure to get the tangles out because when she was styling my hair, there was tangles and she really pulled at them several times, causing a lot of discomfort and pain. She didn't bother taking a hairbrush to comb it out. She didn't acknowledge what she was doing and it made the entire experience uncomfortable and not relaxing. As for styling my hair, I could literally see fumes as she was curling my hair with the straightener and I dont know why she didn't lower the heat. For the price I paid, I do not think it was worth it as my first experience was totally different than my second one. I will not be returning to this location nor would I recommend any of my friends to go. I was truly excited to have found a hairstlist/salon to go, and I do not leave low reviews, but I am so disappointed, as it wasn't worth the $65 I paid. Just wanted to include a picture of the uneven front layers. This was a simple haircut, and I dont understand why it was uneven, or why I was given a haircut in such a rush. UPDATE after the response left: Thank you for you response. She didn't spend a hour, about 35-40 minutes, and the actual cut was about 5 minutes. The picture is just the strands at the front of my face, and those are supposed to be even, like they were the last time my hair was cut. I didn't want to be rude to her, hence I said the hair style was good. I dont think my comment warrants her pulling at my hair when there are tangle and she sees the discomfort and yet continues pulling at it. I also dont think its warrants unprofessional behaviour. There is not much I can say when the entire experience wasn't worth the price, or the feel of a high end salon. Thank you for your response though, and for reaching out! I appreciate it. Take care.

I enjoyed a 3 hour spa retreat with her that included a relaxing massage, an unbelievably therapeutic facial finished off with a beautiful shellac manicure and pedicure. I went a few times for my nails and I always left so happy but last week I went to do my hair for the first time and I honestly if i could give 10 stars I would do it in a second! Although my stylist was really friendly, I was extremely disappointed with the outcome of my very expensive appointment. I wanted to actually cover greys and add brighter face framing blonde highlights but my hair looks like I used a box of dark blonde dye over my previous professionally done balayage/highlights even after returning for a "fix" because I was unhappy.

Generally , I never leave bad reviews but in this case I need to tell people and vent my frustration of my humiliation that occurred today at Ku’r. I came to Ku’r with the intent of getting a nice haircut, but unfortunately I was literally told to leave without paying. Just because I pointed out that haircut wasn’t even and that I came to argue. I left speechless and humiliated since there were other clients in the salon. I’m still in disbelief what I experienced. Coming to salon as a new client, upon arrival I was briefly greeted and told to wait in the waiting area. After couple of minutes the girl came and took me to shampoo area where she gave me the worst shampoo ever. The pressure of water was so hard that she literally sprayed my arms. When you have your hair washed in a salon it’s usually a nice feeling and experience. Pretty much always you get two shampoos and conditioner. Well my first shampoo was so quick and not enjoyable at all. The second shampoo didn’t even happen, instead she just put conditioner on without combing it or working it into the hair throughly. It was so unlike what you get from other salons and I wanted her to stop, but I kept the thing for myself. I was seated in the hairstylist chair and told to wait two minutes. Micho came, without any introduction about himself or a welcoming word. What I remember was he asking me if I want my hair short, to which I replied “No, what I wanted was my hair to be shaped and trimmed a bit”. I showed him the picture of Jennifer Aniston which is very popular haircut, so he could see how I wanted my layers to be cut. He said he sees this picture very often so I was relieved knowing that he knows what I want. Well thing didn’t go well. When he was cutting my layers he was using the point cutting technique which is fine if you know how to even out the sides. Point cutting doesn’t mean uneven. So I pointed this out in the middle of the haircut and he didn’t like that. He basically gave me a speech how he can’t cut straight lines because it won’t look right. I understand that everyone cuts hair differently and using different techniques for different purposes. He finished cutting and continued with blow drying which was the messiest ever. I couldn’t see half of time since my hair were sitting on my face so half way I pushed them on the side so I could see what he was doing. He styled my hair on wavy side which I didn’t want since I showed him picture with strait hair. After he was done I thought he will check the haircut again, which is standard procedure after blow dry when you get haircut, but that didn’t happen. Instead he grabbed hairspray and started spraying my hair. I could clearly see my right side was longer then left one, so I pointed it out, and that’s what visually upset him. We were going back and forth a couple of times, trying to show him the longer piece, but instead I was told that I was grabbing hair from different parts of my head and that’s why I see the difference. Abruptly, he tore my cape off, told me that I came to argue and I should leave without paying immediately! I didn’t know what to say. So I stood up, said thank you and left. I think I sat in my car for a few minutes to process what just happened. This is the worse experience I ever had. Right from the customer service experience to getting a haircut. I felt unwelcomed the minute I stepped into salon and left humiliated because I said things that I saw. Very unprofessional. Replay on owner’s response in pictures.

I really don’t like their services. I spent $300 for hair colouring . On that day my hair looks ok . But when I washed it. The colour was gone . It was not equal on my hairs . Then I go again and the hair stylist did the toning again but , not happy with their service. Their price are very high but service is bad.

Way too expensive for what you get - e.g. daughter's manicure literally fell off of her nails as we left the building. Bare bones mani/pedi for momma that looked like nothing special when it was done (no true rub down/massage that I've gotten at other places in the past. Other than the shalack, probably could've done the same trim and paint job at home). Totalled over $170!!! Not going back.

I had the WORST MANICURE. cuticles not clean at all, the next day it was already chipping. I wrote them a message on Instagram about how I was not happy, and sent photos to prove it. I saw that they read the message but did not respond. I sent another message saying how unprofessional that was, how ignoring a customer complaint is bad business. Again they read and ignored it. I have never posted a bad review before because I feel it's not nice, but this made me furious. NEVER get a manicure here!!!!

I went for micro. This was my 1st time trying this. She went over maybe half of my face with the tool slapped on a mask and left me for 30min. Came back quickly rubbed some of the mask off with a towel and that was it. I left with dry mask randomly spread on my face. So rushed and barely used to tool AT ALL. If i wanted a mask i couldve done that at home!

They were helpful and I felt comfortable booking right away, with that said I also booked to get my hair fixed as I recently went all dark and hated it! I recently tried the Ultimate Eight in One Oxygen Botanical facial and have to say it's the best facial I have ever had! I really enjoy the other facial offerings here but this new one really made a difference in the look and feel of my face afterwards. I highly recommend this facial if your looking for firmer, glowing skin!

I called in to book a blow dry at this salon - the receptionist put me in with the only stylist available, the new talent. The stylist herself was very nice, but her blow drys definitely need a lot of work. I paid $40 for a blow dry that did not even last an hour. My hair holds curls very well and usually my blow drys last a couple of days, so this was definitely an anomaly. My hair was flat, loose and frizzy. On top of that, reception was very cold and unwelcoming. Not what I would expect from a "high end" salon.

Maddy is the make-up artist here and she is absolutely amazing! She has done my make-up on multiple occasions and even did my mom's entire bridal party's make-up. She is super outgoing and pays great attention to detail. I really love my browns and nudes, but sometimes I let Maddy be creative and she STILL nails it every time! If you ever need your make-up done for any occasion, she is the one to go to!!

I used to go to a high end salon in Oakville (Char Le Blanc) but a few months ago I moved to Kitchener so I had to find a new salon. Just got back from getting my roots bleached by Micho (from dark brown to light blonde) and it looks great. No patches and no yellow. Celine the owner is also very nice and genuinely cares about her customers. If you are looking for a haircut, I would also recommend Juanita - she cut my hair last time and it was exactly the cut I asked for.

The person that did my hair did such a horrible job. I came in the salon with brown hair and I wanted to lighten it a bit more. She mixed the wrong colour and dyed my hair dark black instead! She did offer to redo my dye but no way I was letting her do my hair again. The haircut that I got wasnt that impressive either. Definitely not a high end salon.

Kur Salon is a beautiful, clean salon with great ambience. Even though it has an Upscale feel, there is no pretentiousness. The atmosphere is so comfortable. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with smiles and all the stylists are super friendly. Always a lively conversation. The cappuccinos are great and the Eminence chocolates are to die for. Taline even orders them for me at Christmas for my daughter. Ramone is a wonderful stylist. He never up-sells what I don't need. Has great advice on what to use for my hair. He does an outstanding job on my hair every time. I always really look forward to my visits there. I've been a client for the last 3-4 Years now.

I went to her for micro blading and that was almost two years ago, and I continue to get compliments on my beautiful eyebrows. she is fantastic for every aesthetic need you have. I booked a hair appointment with my groupon in advance. I stated that I was willing to pay extra for an updo for my holiday party. The stylist was excellent, but the person that handles the scheduling only gave us 30 minutes for a wash, treatment and updo.... so I didn’t get my updo for my christmas party. Very disappointed.

Ku’r Salon and Spa is a real gem located in the beautiful Doon community. I have had the pleasure of getting many services done there including spa treatments, hair and nails. Special shout out to Micho who is warm and friendly and creates magic. You will be sure to leave with an amazing experience. Another shout out to Juanita, who was so patient and gentle with my 4 year old. She made my little one so comfortable that she even fell asleep! It was fantastic because I was worried she would get upset at a salon and won’t sit quietly! All in all, our family loves Ku’r and we will always recommend friends and family to go there!

If you are thinking about getting gel nails this is the place to go. This is the only spa that has ever exceeded my expectations when it comes to experience, quality, and product durability. I recently got a full Gel nail set put on and was surprised at how light they are. They didn’t glue on the heavy tips, instead they sculpt the gel right on my nail beds. At other salons in the past I would get really bad heat blisters or have an allergic reaction to the nail application which would show up a few days after application on my fingertips. I honestly didn’t have nails for years because of how bad I’d react to them. The reason I went to Kur was because a few of my colleagues had such beautiful nails and when I asked them where they had them done they all said Kur salon. I was told that they have the best new gel product out there and to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. I choose French tip and even had a choice of two base colour pinks. I was asked what shape, length, colour and style I wanted too and they easily have over 100 trendy colours and stamp art if you like those too.All nails are straight, perfect shape and although I should have gone back after two weeks for a fill I’m just over 3 weeks and they are still perfect, chip free. I’m booked for a late fill only because of my crazy schedule. I’ve had so many compliments on my nails in the past weeks it’s been a nice confidence boost. I strongly recommend Kur and also Sherah (apologies if I spelt your name wrong) to everyone who wants to fall in love with their nails.

Staff is fairly friendly and approachable, but the quality of work is atrocious. I paid for a $74 full leg wax that resulted in me calling them when I got home to alert them to the fact my legs were indeed not waxed - patches of hair everywhere and stubbles all over the place. They then asked for me to come back so they could re-do the job... Nothing changed. I went home and shaved my legs and had better results. The next day I had a nail appointment for gel nails, and within a week, my thumb chipped right off and corners of three of my nails had little chips in them that were catching on everything. Gel is suppose to be durable... Apparently not from this place. My pedicure was awful as well, I do a better job in my shower buffing my feet. Between the two days I spent over $200 on spa treatments and I'm furious. Never going back.

Horrible customer service. Greedy owner. Never going back. I used to buy gift cards for friends and family all the time, due to location. I had lackluster experiences myself, but never too bad. I will never spend another dime at this salon, for myself or anyone else. Part of my sister's wedding party, we showed up the morning of her wedding, we were told her hairstylist was sick, which I understand happens. But she ended up being charged extra because the back-up stylist took so long to do her hair. NOT ACCEPTABLE. My two little girls aged 5 and 7, sat in the makeup artist's chair for all of 2 mins each, had some lip gloss and blush applied (more for fun than anything else, just to feel like a part of the group, as flowergirls). I went to pay (for my own hairstyle, and makeup, plus their two hairstyles) and when I asked the owner to break down the costs she had charged me $10 PER child for makeup. The makeup artist herself was embarrassed and felt awful, but owner didn't seem to care when I said it was unacceptable. She is clearly just in it for money and doesn't see the value in ensuring her clients have a positive experience. I rarely write reviews, especially bad ones, but this happened back in Feb and I still get angry thinking about the way my sister was treated on her wedding day, and the greediness involved in asking for $20 for a touch of lip gloss that was already off the girls' lips by the time we left the salon. I will never go back. Do not recommend this salon to anyone. Save your money, and spend it at a reputable place with good customer service.

Ku'r is such an amazing spa! Taline, the owner, makes everything I have done there so enjoyable. I have had waxing, laser, mani & pedi, massages and facials done there and they are all amazing. The entire team is personable and makes your spa date enjoyable. I love taking my mother-in-law with me there for spa dates, they have everything you need in one convenient location. If you have not been to this spa yet you have to check it out. The building is beautiful, they have a variety of treatments, and they have great monthly specials for people who are on a budget!

My dad paid 80 bucks for a coloring treatment 3 weeks ago. This pic is taken today, only three weeks after the appointment! Management blamed the fading color on my dad’s hair “growing too fast” and refused to do anything about it. I guess at Ku’r Salon this is considered acceptable result.
