I had one goal in mind, a hot shave for a relaxing experience. Matt welcomed me to the shop with a warm and genuine smile, he offered a coffee (which I gratefully accepted). The experience in whole was wonderful. Laying back, he frequently applied fresh warm towels to my face, opening the pores and relaxing the muscles, putting pressure in exactly the right places. The experience was professional and social. I find Matt to not only deliver a shave, but to deliver a truly valuable experience that will definitely have me returning and already recommending him at Escape Hair Studio. I love my beard and I feel like I came in as the borderline wild man of Borneo. Matt guided the hair on my face into a proud and regimented form. Price: Beyond reasonable. I don’t generally treat myself to a hot shave, so I feel like I got more value than what I paid. Top form!

I've been going here for almost two months now. Matt is excellent and really takes care of you. Super steady hand with the straight razor and great conversationalist. Hes treated me and my beard very well. I highly reccomend him. The hot and cold towels, the attention to detail, the friendliness, it's my favourite time of the week to see Matt. I highly recommend this place.

I just had the most wonderful experience at this salon! I called very last minute looking to fix the atrocious mess I'd made my hair...I had called 5 other salons that refused to try and fix my purple/black/red/brown layers of box dyed long hair. From the moment they took my name and asked me to describe my hair, they were professional, realistic and so patient! I spent 6 hours with my stylist Isabel, and she was able to pull off a stunning style and colour for me! She was so patient, didn't take any breaks to eat or drink, was so dedicated to making sure I was happy with the end result. Highly recommend this salon! In my 6 hours there, I saw numerous clients leave happy with both the salon and esthetics. I am now a grown up and will be returning here for my personal stylist Isabel, and have vowed no more box dye (even if I'm bored on maternity leave!)
