I messaged Amethyst Nail Studio on Facebook to book an appointment 2 days prior and they got me right in! When I got there they’d accidentally double booked but the owner did a great job of working that out and making sure the other customer and I were both happy. and I’ve never had a better set. Kim did an amazing job on my nails, despite how short they were and hard to work with. He did exactly what I wanted without me having to tell him at all! He asked me if what he was doing was what I wanted, and it always was. My nails ended up looking just like the pic i showed him! Huge thanks to Amethyst Nail Studio for the amazing dip powder set and quick, amazing service!

I very rarely leave reviews (good or bad), but I can’t stop admiring my nails! Admittedly I selfishly want to keep this place a secret so it doesn’t get super busy, but Kingstonians deserve to know about it! First time visiting Amethyst, and will absolutely be coming back. The staff were so kind and instantly made my friend and I feel welcome and at ease. I got a gel fill done and it took a little longer than I expected but was so worth it for the care the ladies took with our nails to make sure they were perfect. I am obsessed with how great they look, the color, shape, length, everything! Thank you Amethyst ❤️

I made an appointment the same day and they were able to take me 10 min early when I got there early. Everyone was very nice and everything felt and looked clean. It didn’t take very long either and the quality is amazing. I am soooooo happy with how they turned out. It’s such a nice shop! Prices are pretty standard but definitely worth it. I will definitely be coming here again next time I’m back in town!

Such a beautiful nail studio! Kim and Tina did a great job with making sure I was comfortable and happy with the services I received! I got a shellac manicure and pedicure and an eyebrow wax! I’ve been to Kim at his previous salon and he gives me the best shape for my nails and is always so kind. I was smiling and laughing my entire visit! Definitely will be returning :)

My girlfriend & I came down for a Girls Weekend from Ottawa. Before we left Ottawa we both went and got our nails done at a 'new-to-us' salon. They were terrible, to say the least. So we found Amethyst Nail Studio while on our weekend and decided to re-do them. She had extensions + shellac, I had dip + shellac. The Owner & her Husband were AMMMMMAZING. We both showed them pictures of what we were TRYING to achieve, and they made recommendations on how they would accomplish it. And they did ! Both our mani's were beyond perfect. They told us they have been in business for just over a year - and I predict they will be very successful with their spa. Beyond a clean, comfortable, personable experience. Both my girlfriend & I said we will ABSOLUTELY be back on our next trip to Kingston. Thank you so much for the awesome visit guys. Wishing you all the success !!!

10/10 would recommend! This was over and beyond amazing service. All Staff members were so kind and the work that I had done was amazing. My friend and I both left over joyed with our new nails. The salon was clean and fresh and the relaxing atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered! I saw first hand the covid precautions taken and the cleaning that is done between clients which makes relaxing that much easier! I will 100% be going back, Im fairly certain I've found my go to nail salon!

Every 2-3 weeks since November I have visited this nail salon (I get bio gel manicures), and exclusively see Susan. Not only does she do an incredible job, but the entire salon is clean, and professional. The prices are fair, and the service is wonderful. They have many different services and I tell everyone I know where I go, and if they also get their nails done, to try out Amethyst Nails. I cant say enough good things about them, and have never been disappointed in any aspect of their service from start to finish. Thank you so much for your fair prices, and your service! I wont go anywhere else.

I’ve bounced around to “a few” nail salons in an attempt to find one that doesn’t rush the service, or overbook appts, one that has staff that are not overworked and unappreciated, one that cares about the customer and takes the time to get to know their clients, one that does nails that I’m happy to flash around. It wasn’t until I happened upon Amethyst that I had found exactly what I was looking for. The owners are extremely grateful for every client, they know the names of the individuals walking through the door and take the time to be personable and interact - they ask about our kids and they genuinely care. They understand that the customer is more than a dollar walking through their door. They realize that excellent customer service and a personable staff will create repeat customers. Above the exceptional service - they are talented beyond measure! They offer design work for your nails that is unmatched in the Kingston market. I have dealt with Kim since they’ve opened and never once have I left unhappy or disappointed in how my nails turned out. He is an expert at what he does and I am beyond proud to recommend him to anyone. Whether it’s a basic French manicure or the most intricate design, he knows exactly what he’s doing! This salon deserves recognition not only for their work but for their endless devotion to ensuring the client always comes first and are properly cared for! From the covid safety measures to the pampering they’ve got it down to a science. Well done Amethyst!!!

Today was my second visit to Amethyst and I'm so pleased with the quality of service I receive there. I've been with Tina for a couple of years and she never disappoints, EVER. But today I saw Kim and he was fantastic too...kind, gentle and he made my nails beautiful. I highly recommend the Hydrating Pedicure. I've had 2 now and my perpetually dry, cracked heels are actually soft! The salon is clean and KFLAPH guidelines are strictly followed. I feel safe when I'm there and relaxed and pampered when I leave!
