I recommend Pet Smart to anyone who has Animals. They're Very Good, Excellent Staff Members. We had our Dog Shadow there this past Saturday. Shadow's Nails were Clipped & Grinding was done. She also had a Bath, an Oatmeal Shampoo & Conditioner for her Dry Skin. Pet Smart also Cleaned her Ears & her Teeth & gave her a 15 minute Coat Brush. They also gave her a bag of Easter Treats. The total Cost was $72.46, that's a Good Reasonable Price for having everything done. I Recommend Pet Smart over any other Animal Services in Winnipeg. They've been very Good with us in the Past & I look forward to taking Shadow to Pet Smart for many more years ahead. Try them, you'll be impressed with the Awesome Service. ????????????????????

Took my dog for a grooming and this is how he left their groomer. Bald spots up and down his back, only nails on 2 paws are cut (dogs usually have 4), and best of all they told us NOT to come back. If you want this to happen to your pup, by all means.. I will never return to ANY “Pet-dummies” ever again.

We were in today for a nail trim for our pup and to grab some treats and a collar. The grooming staff were awesome. Above and beyond. Watching them groom the other dogs inspired confidence and put us right at ease. We found everything we went for and the prices were better than the other places we've been to. We'll definitely be back! I'd highly recommend them for your fury friends. They're also a great spot to find custom dog tags. Its easy and quick to do.

My Cousin used to work here a couple of months ago, She was a groomer & she said when you tip, It doesn't got to the person you tip, it goes to the manager. They also don't groom the dogs well, they teather them to the table & if they jump, they could possibly choke themselves. My aunt got her dog groomed here and they were grooming him so hard near his butt, it was bleeding,

I find people that work there are rude, unless you are white. They wont even acknoledge you are there even if they see you looking for product. At first I thought it was odd, but I've noticed several times Ive been there. If you are a white person they greed you with a "hello" or "good morning" but other customers are ignored. I was sad to see this, for a pet store to see this behaviour from an older gentleman working there, 3 times he passed me while I was looking for product I wanted to asked him a question and he rushed by me looking at me up and down, just to run into a white lady and say "good morning, can I help you find anything" I left the store. Not worth giving my money to a place like that!

Excellent staff, excellent groomers. Patient with my rescue dog. 2 groomers took the time to do it (nail trim/took my dog several times). The time they were willing to take made it so my rescue wasn’t more stressed than necessary. I had gone somewhere else and the experience was terrible. PetSmart’s grooming is opened while the store is open and there is no rush. Groomers are willing to take the time necessary which is a huge sigh of relief when dealing with rescue dogs. Only thing making this not a 5 star is I don’t like the policy of needing to have your dog up to date on certain vaccinations to be groomed. It’s why I sadly am unable to continue taking my girl. We don’t all believe rabies vaccine needs to be done yearly and some of us actually think it’s bad to do so :(

Went to groomers.. a bit frustrated my dog had some stuff dome then put in kennel while they worked on another dog? Then when I showed up they said it would be another 30 minutes!! 1- he shouldn't have been put in the kennel between getting his nail etc done (stressful enough being there) 2- I don't like 2 groomers working on him after I showed up. I had already explained to the first groomer what I wanted and the 2nd groomer did not do what I asked. My dog went to the vets after for a check up. On petsmarts report card it said his ears were cleaned! The vet showed me petsmart in no way cleaned his ears. They were red and inflamed petsmart should have checked that off on their form......

TERRIBLE ANIMAL CARE. DO NOT BUY FISH FROM HERE. I went to this location to check out their fish. Almost all of the fish were sick, dying, or already dead. The tanks were overcrowded, disgusting, and full of parasites. When I told the sales assistant what I was looking for, she had the nerve to tell me about how big the fish would get, including the fish requirements, while it was clear that none of these fish would live to reach those standards. I was horrified and immediately left. DO NOT BUY THESE FISH BECAUSE YOU WILL INTRODUCE DISEASES TO YOU HEALTHY FISH IF YOU DO NOT OWN A QUARANTINE TANK. I have videos and photos from my visit.

My husband and I went here to Petsmart instead of Petland even though it was slightly further away because of good recommendations about their customer service. We just got a new doggy, and we thought maybe we'd get her stuff online instead and just pick up some essentials at the store. After the amazing customer service, (so helpful and informative and kind!) my husband said they've won our business for life. Even if it costs more than online for a couple things, the knowledge and recommendations and kindness of the employees was amazing. One lady in particular who wore a red royal canine apron spent probably 20 minutes with us talking about our dog and her likes and dislikes and what might work for her. Highly impressed and will recommend this store to everyone. Thank you!

Paid for extra brushing time (30 min). Our dog was ready in an hour, I thought it was too fast to bathe, brush 30 min, dry and grind nails on a 100 lbs dog in that time, when I inquired they said it was because they were slow that day. When I got home our dog was shedding, which is normal after a bath and brush, so I started to brush her to get the loose fur, and noticed her whole left side had not been brushed. Not impressed after paying for additional brushing time. The manager did agree to a store credit for the extra brushing time next visit. I won’t say don’t go, but I would suggest, don’t book with Hanna. She did a very poor job.

Suggestions for visiting this location: 1) Try not to browse at this location as parking is limited. Look online and pick up in store. 2) Ask the staff if you need help as they are very helpful but don't expect them to be experts on all breeds and conditions. 3) Only ask the staff to carry items if you are unable. They are very nice but don't need to hurt their backs taking litter to the register all day. Location is only minor concern as it can be hectic to get in and out of.

Most recently today i got a hide that said it was in stock but then they couldn't find it so they substituted for another one! For a few years it was going great my dog behaved and loved getting groomed at either regent or Mcphilips petsmart til one day, I don’t know if but I guess this groomer was new, does not matter though. She cut my dog on the leg, now shes not comfortable getting groomed by any petsmart groomers than she listed my dog as aggressive. Why, think about it ..all this time my dog as been nice and cooperating til you cut her on the leg than list her as aggressive and tend to bite? What can you expect from a dog that just got cut from a person it just met and list her as aggressive and tend to bite ? And please know how to comfront a dog your about to groom, do not just put on the leash and hold it up and expect its going to cooperate by itself to you right away pisses me off. We tried a different grooming salon that wasn’t petsmart and it went great. I definitely do not recommend petsmart to others for the safety of their dogs.

My significant other and I went to a few different locations in search of a cat/kitten to add to our family! We were torn between one here, and one at petland. The staff were so incredible and 100% wanted us to make the best decision as we already have a cat and dog at home. They were absolutely amazing!! Went over all of the kittens medical history with us, and even though we decided to adopt the other kitten, I was sincerely impressed with them. Also, someone please go adopt cat benatar. She is such a sweetheart and deserves an amazing home!

One thing they could improve only cause I had an issue finding something my kitten would where after getting spay as the cone of shame and the donut collar didn’t work. She was in a panic and had a terrible time finding something I could use. They need to supply the surgical jacket that covers the under belly and ties up along their back. What a difference it made. I spent hours going from pet store to pet store and finally found it in a very small pet store I never heard of.

Good pet store, overall they have all your basic pet needs, one thing I would recommend for the store though is to work on the fish section. Definitely need a greater assortment of larger fish tanks, and should really consider selling real driftwood, plant selection is slim to none and so is aquarium plant substrate, I noticed there's always a lack of nutro choice dog food maybe stock pile more of these listed items.

Adopted another kitten from here. Unfortunately there is little communication between the Wpg Humane Society and Pet Smart. The cat I adopted was healthy and the only one at the store. When I brought it home I noticed a sneeze which got worse. Upon searching it up I found it to be an upper respiratory infection which is highly contagious to other cats. Called the store who responded by telling me to contact the Humane Society. I called them, left a message which was retuned two days later saying there is nothing they could do on their end (even though they have vets there and the cat was treated there (spayed and received vaccines). So called the vet who took her in immediately, gave her a physical and prescribed antibiotics. Two days after that, I had to bring in my other cat for the same thing. My whole point here is if there was communication between the two then we wouldbt have adopted her and waited until she was better rather then have our other cat get sick as well The end.

We used to have a good thing going: I would spend $500+/month there, and they would honour my seldom return, whether I had a receipt or not. Then they went and changed their return policy. I didn't know this and, recently, went to return a dog jacket, that my puppy grew out of before he had a chance to wear it, tags attached. Instead of explaining anything to me, the weasel manager treated me like a common criminal, even after acknowledging that he sees me in there buying stuff all the time! I'm never going back. I will now be putting my Costco membership to good use, buying pet food. Good riddance PetSmart.

Took my 13 year old Shih-tzu/terrier cross to see Samantha at PetSmart Regent, her previous groomer retired, I was very happy with the care and quality of my dogs grooming. My dog seems happy as well, sometimes she can seem jumpy or hides after but she is her normal self. Will be taking her there again :)

I know local fish chains get a lot of flak, but to be honest this review is more about the staff. I frequent petsmart rather frequently as I have a lot of fish. Everytime I need something, its (usually) in stock and at a fair price. Whenever I need to take something back, its done without any sort of hassle. the staff are amazing and help me out whenever I need (which is frequently). However, even though I gave a 5 star, dont buy aquarium plants from here, I have bought a few now, and they all wilt EXTREMELY bad. I have lost a few from the transitioning process, kijiji is a way better bet for quality plants, at a decent price.
