Had a color correction done on my daughter and man did it look awesome 180 bucks later(price is not the problem as it starts at 180ish everywhere). 2 weeks later all the dye was washed out and my daughter had white strands from the bleached streaks. I messaged them and they told me to bring her in. They looked at her hair and it was dyed cherry coke red and it's now brown and white and they tried to tell me that I can pay for the product again roughly $45 because she uses pantene pro v and that strips hair. Before i left the original visit i asked if there is something we should do or not do and we were told to not wash in very hot water and that's it... so why would i have to pay again for something they messed up on. I did research and could find nothing about pantene stripping hair. Anyways after I got my gf to talk to them they came up with ok we can do it for free but we recommend that we get a conditioner stripper to get all the pantene out of the hair which will be $20 jus the cost of the product and that's it. So we got it done again. It looks nice again but talk about no customer service. They screwed up and tried to make me pay again to fix it. So if u go there I hope you did your research on them and my experience. It was kind of annoying to hear I have to pay again 2 weeks later to fix what I think they screwed up on as I talked to many stylists about the situation and they told me it was something they did with the dye.

My friend and I booked appointments with Bry Sweeney over Facebook. She made us give a non-refundable deposit of $100. My hair was left with a large dark chunk in the middle ( I had it lightened) I had to go pay someone else to cut it because I asked to have the split ends cut off and they were still there. I couldn’t call the salon to have it fixed because she cancelled my friends appointment the next day due to being in the hospital so I was giving her a break. She then also cancelled the rescheduled appointment and when my friend asked for a refund she ignored her for three weeks. We had to call the salon while she was working and finally got it back 24 hours later. She had spent the money and had to cash her paycheque first. She also advised that there was no heat in the salon, they were heating their work spaces with a hair dryer and sometimes the water cuts out. Just yesterday the salon had no power. I absolutely would not recommend the salon or Bry Sweeney to anyone.

I went to Pelo Loco for a facial. I was pleasantly surprised, Shae-Lynne who did the facial was excellent. I am not much of a talker and she respected that. The facial was amazing, she took her time and I felt wonderful after. The ladies at the front desk were also great, friendly when greeting me. You seem to relax as soon as you enter their building.

I am completely appalled with my last appointment. I went in for a trim at the beginning of the week, going in with a v shaped cut, I came out with a chopped straight cut. I understand she is a newer stylist, but when you go into a salon like Pelo you expect to have the highest of stylists.. I can't say I'll be stepping back in any time soon. My hair is my pride, and she just took that away with the way she handled it.

I have been going to Pelo Loco for at least 4 years. My stylist is Justine who is a skilled colorist especially on grey hair which is a skill not many stylist are good at. For facials Ramen is thorough at getting black heads and white heads and her facial massage and neck shoulders is relaxing and amazing. She also does threading which I like better than waxing its fast and easy. Krystal is a skilled manicrist and pedicures are amazing. I love the new streamlined changes to the salon I think the new hair stations are current and salon is very NYC!

I bought an Experience card from someone selling around town. $50 and sooo worth it. I got a haircut (normally $35+), a hair cut for my boyfriend (30+), and a facial(unsure on price). Loved it all and their prices are awesome. Will definitely be returning again and again. The card also had a sugaring session but didn't have time to use it. They also do manicures, pedicures, make up, and many other things that are all listed with prices on their website. Can also book appointments online once you make a free account. The shop is beautiful inside and HUGE. My new favorite salon.

Visiting Sarah at Pelo Loco is the highlight of my week! The atmosphere and service easily rivals any high end salon in Winnipeg but the prices are incredibly reasonable. My weekly blow out costs less than going to a movie. As a busy mom, getting out of the house once a week for a few hours helps my whole family. Getting pampered at Pelo Loco is the best way to relax!

The staff at Pelo Loco is extremely friendly, affordable and work with you in what you are looking for. They take their time and listen to what you want, and should you go say really extreme, they will give you suggestions on what would look really good on you. They take their time and put all their positive energy into what they do and they enjoy making you feel like a billion dollars in the end. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

This Salon is a hidden gem! On the outside it looks like every other building but on the inside its absolutely gorgeous! They offer so many different things there and the staff is amazing, my personal favorite hairdresser is Rheanna who I highly recommend!!!

This was my first and last hair visit to this salon. I arrived on time for my hair appt and was shown to the wait area while the stylist was finishing up a client. After about 45 minutes of “finishing up” she finally got me to her chair then went up to the front desk to cash out her client. I got the feeling they were acquaintances. 15 minutes later and still no stylist, I grabbed my purse and walked up to the front desk where she was busy socializing with her client/friends at the front desk. I told her I wasn’t going to wait anymore and left. I can’t speak to the other stylists at the salon but I won’t ever go back.

There has been quite the expansion at Pelo Loco lately which as a long time customer I was excited about. I have always been very pleased with the quality of work and service there but have found this to have gone down in the last few months since this expansion. The girls that have worked there for years continue to do a magnificent job but my experiences with most of the newer employees has been extremely disappointing. There appears to be a lack of experience and training. I will continue to book with the employees I am familiar with but will be cautious when booking with anyone I don’t know. I hope that quantity over quality is not the new mantra there.
