It was a nice looking place and friendly. I booked my hair appointment super last minute with Kristina. I was chopping off a significant amount of hair and she suggested that I get layers in my hair. I agreed and regretted it as they were very choppy and unorganized/uneven layers. I thought it was just me not being used to layers in my hair, but many of my friends/family took a look afterwards but no one could make sense of how the layers were made. I went back a few days later to have them evened out. Kristina willingly chopped at my hair again but actually made them worse. It took a couple haircuts (with another stylist at another salon) before my hair grew out enough to fix the choppy layers.

I have been seeing Kristine for years, she is the only person I trust with my hair. She always listens to what I'm asking for and understands the kind of cut and look I'm wanting to achieve. Her cuts are easy to maintain, now that I'm a new mom she makes sure it's easy to style. She's precise and has a gentle touch. Her colours are great! I love that she's always learning and staying up to date on techniques. She's also just an awesome person and it's fun to visit while in her chair. Highly recommended!

I have gone to Buffie since I have had hair to cut and will NEVER again see anyone else. Even when living out of province, I am always sure to go see Buffie (or Char in her absence) when I need anything done, big or small. Not only are Buffie and her coworkers INCREDIBLY skilled and experienced at what they do, but they are passionate and always learning new developments in order to meet the needs of and to please all clients. And just when you think a salon cannot get any better you meet these women and realize they are also genuinely good humans!! Amazing, warm, friendly women who are an absolute pleasure to chat with. Ugh I can go on forever. If you haven’t been to Buffie & Co. before, then just go - then you’ll get it :). Thank you Buffie & Co. for the beautiful environment you have created, for the great “getaway” you provide to the community, for your dedication, AND for employing the great people that you do! I have been going to Charmaine for 3 years now. She is amazing. Always listens and does what you ask for. All the staff is funny and friendly. Great atmosphere. Recently I brought in a picture and honestly Charmaine replicated it EXACTLY!!!!! Cut and colour is always on Point!!!! Wish I could post a picture but doesn’t seem to be working. :(.

I had colouring at a different salon and ended up with an actual rainbow of colours in my hair. I went into Buffie and Co today to fix the problem and Buffie did an amazing job and was able to fix it to what I wanted! I love the colour! I would definitely recommend Buffie and the salon and and I will go again!

Buffie & Co. is the only salon I will go to. Cuts, colours, manicures, pedicures, and a host of other services are available. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I feel like I'm an important part of the family when I'm there. Services are always preceded with a consultation so that you are sure you are getting what you want and the stylist knows that. I get regular manicures and pedicures and I would never go anywhere else!

I had a bad experience with my previous salon, Elyssa put me at ease straight away, asking relevant questions at the start and offering useful advice throughout the appointment. I had to come in about a month ago to get my hair dyed by a lady there and when it was done it was nothing compared to what I asked for and I came back asking for my money back or a touch up for free, they said that they will touch it up for free after messing it up the first time when I called back the lady the owner of the place was very rude was cutting me off, not caring to take an account that I had spent over $200 to get my hair done by someone who assured me that my hair would come out looking like the photo that I asked for after it did not the owner was disrespectful very unprofessional and refuse to touch my hair up for free after I had paid over $200 to get my hair done only messing my hair up and refusing to redo it for free. Horrible service I would never go back there very unprofessional unwelcoming and a waste of time and money

I went in after speaking with someone to go over exactly my wishes for my hair, instead left with no hair! I had some issues that were my communicated issues, but Char just took it upon herself to cut my hair till there was no more left to cut, maybe instead of whining about Covid and being off you should have boned up on your skills because you have none , please don’t cut people with short hair , now I have to spend 500.00 to attempt to get hair extensions so I don’t look like I just left o prisoner camp ? Let alone I called to speak with the owner and was given a poor response to obviously avoid me , want to make things better, pay for your mistakes and pay for me to actually have some hair! Beware if have short hair and female, will never recommend!

Kristine Carino is a wonderful hairdresser. She may be one of the best to cut short hair. Not only are the cuts cute for the short term she knows and can plan for a great cut to grow out. She is also the only person I trust to colour my hair, as a master in various techniques I have loved every shade of the rainbow. If you are looking for someone with skill and a lot of awesome personality who is not afraid to try something new, she is highly recommended. Also, easily have had some of the best updos from her! Asked for a blowout with very loose curls and lots of volume, and got the complete opposite. The girl (one with purple short hair) was very nice but she assured me I was going to get the results I wanted. She did not understand the assignment. She told me if the curls are still too tight, that I could just straighten it with a flat iron myself before my event (like why did I even come here if I'm going to do your job). Waste of $50. I didn't complain to her up front so here we are on google review - lesson learned.

Buffie and Co. is an awesome hair salon in Winnipeg's Rivergrove area. Beyond hairstyling for men and women they are a full service beauty salon. I am new to the city and this was my first haircut in 5 years by someone else. I was hoping to find a hair salon in Winnipeg through a recommendation. I met Buffie for other reasons and could tell she cared about her business. In addition, all of the staff are friendly. Thank you for the hair cut, it is exactly the same as my barber back home and what I was looking for:)

I just had my haircut today with Christine... she just chopped off my hair even I told her that I want her to cut only an inch and just fix my layers.... she ruined my hair..my appointment was at 11 am n she started doing my haircut right away when I reached there n I was at home by 11:35 n I live in Inkster area n you can imagine how much time she had spent on me.... m crying right now after seeing my hair..she did not even washed my hair before doing a haircut n did not give a damn to brush n style my hair after the haircut...following the haircut she just sprayed my hair with some curl spray n took me to the counter to pay.. I had my first haircut at this salon by Elyssa she even style my hair n told me that styling is free...she did a great job n gave me a haircut I wanted even though I wasn't happy with the color she did but the haircut was awesome... But at this time Christine just chopped off my hair from behind n did not did anything with the hair at front...u can see in the pictures that both sides of hair at front aren't even equal n I cannot see any layers in my hair.. she just made my hair thin by just chopping off a bunch of hair from behind...even I could do such haircut at home by myself.. so what's the purpose of going to a professional n getting RIPPED OFF ….NEVER GOING BACK..FED UP NOW. even CANCELLING my Hair TOUCH UP Appointment with them.
