Incredible value for a beautiful historical property. Impeccably clean and the front desk service by Irene was superb! Decent bar/restaurant onsite and the location cannot be beat for everything else we needed. The elevator is unique and charming. Be patient and enjoy the charm and a peek into the past with modern amenities.

We had a nice stay in Kamloops at the Plaza Hotel. Located at the city centre for little money. - rooms are clean and differ in size - tv included - parking for 10 CAD right next to hotel - breakfast can be shipped even if included (speaking as a guest with European standards) - staff was nice and helpful - pricing: cheap if you get a deal

For a historical hotel under the whyndam name more needs to be invested to upgrade infrastructure. The rooms are poorly laid out which had led to an injury upon the stay. If you have sensitive skin bring your own linens. And don't count on having hot water consistently. And don't get me started on inconsistent water pressure. Ladies If you have long thick hair make alternative arrangements or be ready to run out of hot water. Light bulbs need to be replaced and made into addition of some parts of the rooms. If you're in one of the bigger rooms leave your room lights on as it's pretty dark and there is no lighting by the door way. The tubs are sloped and unstable, and the pillows, let's just say bring your own as they are unsafe for your neck back and shoulders support. The toilets begin running out of no where so you have to wait and hold it until it stops and there is no telling when it will stop. Furthermore, before requesting a room change the beds in another room was not remotely stable and unsafe to sleep on. Luckily I was able to sleep on the other bed as the first room had 2 twin beds. And their room safe do not work effectively. Not worth a single penny just for the name, when nothing was invested to provide a comfortable stay. I will say that the staff was beyond respectful and hospitable and took the time to be genuine and helpful to the best of their abilities.

The stay in this hotel was terrible for cleanliness. immediately after we got into the room we felt unclean, the carpet was very sticky and not clean. I could hear the noise from outside and it wasn't very pleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The front office staff were very welcoming and helpful. The parking on this hotel is in outside close to a liquor store and pub and didn't feel safe parking outside.

Walls are paper thin. 1:30 in the morning i can hear guy in room next to me talking. Called the desk and nothing was done. I came here because they had a shuttle to the airport which apparently you need to give them 48 hours notice. I still can't find that on their website. So now we have to pay for a cab.

Whatever you do, don't stay. Photos are misleading at best, the hotel seemed nice at first. Staff is very friendly, however that was the only positive thing. Hotel does not have much parking and is PAID, not free. Not much security, it's right beside a liquor store with a lot of questionable people gathering in the parking lot, unsure if they're guests or people living out of their car. The hotel elevator doesn't fit more than 4 people, the regret for booking this location sets in by the time you turn the knob on your room. The room for a double bed is slightly bigger than the bed itself, the door didn't properly close behind you when you leave the room, there is no noise abatement in the room (if you have a room by the elevator, good luck sleeping if you have stayed that long). The bed had several stains of unknown origin, several hairs which were revealed when pulling the sheets and pillow back, stains on the lampshade and walls which looked like blood. The location of such stains cannot be described as coffee or tea spills as it's nowhere near a table and it's elevated on the wall. The garbage in the room was never emptied from the previous customer which begs the question, was the room actually disinfected, were the sheets actually changed, and the washroom cleaned overall? The washroom. Bathtub is grimey from soap scum, and the toilet runs for a consistent 4-5 minutes after flushing, never tested the water pressure or faucets because I decided to check out. Also some pubic hair in the corners of the shower. Staff was friendly but also didn't note any of my specific concerns even after showing specific pictures (supplied below). I feel sorry for the next person.

Very friendly staff, comfy place, very well located & fair price. Queen size room is perfect for 1 or 2, however the bathroom is just for 1 at time. Improvement opportunities: Breakfast (during COVID), room cleaning (I found some last guest items) & add a light at the entrance of the room or at least in the closet.

Parking is horrible. It is general pay parking by city of kamloops

Older hotel with old world interior. Staff is great.
