The employees at Sona MD are hands down the most professional and compassionate staff to have in your corner when making changes to your skin. They help me navigate all my concerns and developed a personal plan for my son and myself, they explained everything in detail right down to a cellular level, educated me on skin health, and never pressured me into anything. At first we started with the basics and addressed skin care routines and began my journey on the skin care line Zo for the past year. I can say with confidence that this was without a doubt the best decision and investment I made when concerning my skin health, my skin has never felt and looked better. Zo is well worth the cost as it lasts a long time when used correctly (in fact I've saved money) as I no longer shop drug stores or mall makeup stores for the 'name brands'. Doctor Lotay and her amazing staff at Sona do not discriminate, they will have you feeling and looking beautiful, you will leave their clinic informed and confident. I recommend these professionals to anyone. Thank you people of Sona for all you've done.

UPDATE: FEB 25/21: Below is the original post from last summer. The following is from today, my first BBL treatment for care of aging, sun damaged and rosacea skin. I know it's early and I have only had the first treatment, but I am thrilled!! Alyssa was the technician who did the BBL today and she was great. Explained the procedure thoroughly and as things got more intense (a little discomfort but very tolerable) she checked in with me constantly. Yes there was a little discomfort but it was short lived. When I was done, my skin looked hyper pigmented and I saw age spots and freckles that I never knew I had. The rosacea was inflamed but I expected all of this. Now 3 hours later, my face is calmed completely and I can already see that soon the new freckles will disappear. I am so excited about the second and third treatment!! Old review: I was referred to Sona by my doctor, for a scan of various moles and spots, 2 spots in particular. I ended up having them both excised by Dr. Lotay. The doctor and Teresa (nurse) were fantastic. Dr. Lotay and her staff are friendly and incredibly professional. I felt that neither rushed me through the office and all of my questions were answered. Dr. Lotay also noticed that I had developed rosacea...I had noticed that my skin had started to look awful but thought it was acne. I ended up coming back to see Teresa for a consult for my skin. It was recommended that I start using Z. Obagi skincare. I am a product junkie and always felt I knew my stuff...I was skeptical about the ZO line but splurged on a kit. WOW!! 6 weeks into using the products (as strictly directed by Dr. Lotay) and my rosacea is nearly gone! My skin tone is lovely and I am thrilled. I will absolutely go back for yearly checks on my skin and will forever use the Z Obagi line of skin care.

Very unhappy with my experience today. I had booked an appt in May that I, unfortunately, had to cancel. I ask when I can expect my deposit back and they said I'M SORRY WE HOLD IT! FOR WHAT? I honestly can't believe this as I specifically asked if I would receive my payment back if I changed or canceled my treatment. The receptionist said ABSOLUTELY! but clearly, that is not the case. I understand keeping your deposit if you miss or do not cancel your appt in the time frame but this is REALLY BAD SERVICE! What poor way to treat your customers that have been coming here for years. Update: Have since had the treatment to remove fat from the chin area by a trusted and professional business in Kamloops. I got the desired results with no issues or complications and have the photos to prove it!!! ---------------------------------------------- Thank you for your reply however the response concerning the cool sculpting treatment to the chin area is disappointing and misleading because there is no reason why I am not a 'good' candidate, in fact, I am an excellent candidate according to the medical professionals who know my medical history OR that the cool sculpting treatment does not match my goals, which is to reduce the fat in the chin area, if this is the case, it is then logical that the cool sculpting treatment offered by Sona is not effective for the majority of people. In addition, it was unprofessional of the Sona rep to call 2 days before my FREE consultation that was booked far in advance to accommodate an appointment after work to get my credit card number or my appointment day & time will be given away!!! Further, a professional knows to be flexible to suit each client, in my case I was not interested in watching the video during my consultation because I already viewed the cool sculpting videos during my research plus the appointment was after a long work day and working on a computer. I was there to speak with a professional not watch a video. The quality of the consultation went down hill from there. Given the service received I am thankful to not proceed with the cool sculpting treatment at Sona and hope you will rethink your procedures.

I had a BBL and Halo procedure done at SonaMD last Friday. I won’t lie I was a little nervous to have this done. Well all I can say is firstly my medical aesthetician Allyssa was next level. Her knowledge made me feel so at ease and excited about the outcome and her care and concern made me feel comfortable and safe. She checked in with me constantly thru both procedures, her knowledge of the equipment and treatment went far beyond my expectations. The after care instructions and product has helped my treatment go exactly as prescribed. I can hardly wait for the final results.
