I'm not always one to write a review when receiving poor service but after spending less than 35 minutes in the chair, counting wash and poor, thoughtless style and paying for the services of a "senior" stylist I'm pretty upset, I've waited over a week to write this. I now have to pay twice over to find someone to fix my hair. I've had good cuts at Ra before from other stylists, I've had better cuts from junior stylists in smaller towns. After asking for bangs and layers I got three bluntly cut layers with about 2-3 inches between each layer with no feathering done whatsoever. The layers do not blend in, they're bluntly separated and look absolutely dreadful. I'll certainly never recommend Ra to anyone nor go there ever again.

Maria always does a great job on my hair. I often give her free range for styling, certain colors and so on. Love going to her for my hair needs. I've been in the salon and the spa portions and the facility is very clean, friendly, and personal. Happy to return and recommend to others. Overall: best high end salon I have been to.

I have known Ken since the early days when neither him nor I had become business owners for ourselves. Ken and Josh have created an amazing studio and I have always been more then happy with the care and undivided attention I receive every time I have an appointment. I love the atmosphere, the support staff, Ken and Josh and the entire experience! Best hair washes, scalp massages and hair cut/colors I have ever had!!

Ashley took care of me like I couldn't imagine I'm young and going through the painful transition of going grey. She helped blend my grays into my overdyedhair and the transition looks flawless. Its been almost a year and people still ask me if I just got my hair colored. Can not wait to get in with her again soon. Call me back girl! Lol

Today I went to get a simple manicure done and my nails do not look good at all. Last time I went they used lotion around my nails and did a really good job with applying the polish. After I got in my car and looked at my nails the color was streaky and bumpy. They looked better before I went in. I'm really sad that I just spent $21 for a poor service.

Beautiful Salon! Great location. The esthetician was really really good! My hair stylist, didn't really listen to what I wanted. But I have to admit it turned out great. I wanted white blonde alllll over, and I ended up with slight highlights of blonde and some brown low lights. I will have to go in earlier then I normally do (to a different salon) to get it fixed. I suggest taking in a photo of what you want! Pricing was reasonable and I liked the product on the wall. Overall it's a posh place with very friendly staff.

New to Kamloops I literally searched on Google "best hair colorist / salon in Kamloops" and RA came up as #1. Google got it right! Today was my second visit to RA for highlights and both my experiences have been excellent! Everyone coming in is greeted by the receptionist. The salon is clean and professional. Every stylist seems knowledgeable. For both my visits the stylist was attentive to me needs. Thank you Leslie and Carl ! I am admittedly a hard to please client when it comes to my hair and both visits I left beyond pleased. I will be back!

First good haircut experience!! Orpha had cut my hair, styled it, and listened to what I wanted for my hair! It was such a wonderful experience! The last place I had my hair done was Chatters at Aberdeen mall, at Ra it was less expensive and a waaay better experience. They treat you like royalty when you walk in the door with tea or coffee and quite a nice waiting area. I am 100% going back and seeing Orpha! She was amazing!

months ago i Booked with them and got there they called me in and I got a haircut that never even resembled the look I was going for it was a long bob with long layers i wanted but it looked like she cut my hair straight all around and made it look funny i told her it didnt look right she ignored me saying she knows what shes doing and when I got to the desk they charged me a whopping 66 dollars And I asked why it was that much and they said the girl who cut ur hair is level 4 sylist I said what but I never asked for a level 4 sylist I even told them max I wanted to spend was 40 over the phone and that's what I was expecting they never bothered to tell me that before and of course I hated the haircut so I have now been going to chatters and get what I ask for ... I find it ridiculous that I even had to pay for something like that

My girlfriend tried getting her hair trimmed at this salon. She was not satisfied. The trim was $60, apparently because a "senior stylist" did it. My girlfriend expressed her dissatisfaction, but--silly her--still paid for the trim. I convinced her to ask for her money back--any classy place would give it--, but the manager just told her not to come back if she didn't like the price. Not a classy place.

never tried the hair end of services but had a few pedi's with josh and while he was nice and tried they just did not cut it. The final straw was when they moved and I went into book and saw they weren't finished I said i would wait they told me I should book that it would not be a problem but it was a huge disruption to my service and totally unprofessional. Not once did they care about my comfort or what had happened so i never went back. Do they not care to make it up or wonder why clients don't come back? Also hated to run into Felegan there as what a head case who drove business away.

As a Rep for one of the Beauty Distributors in the Interior, I have to say I was SHOCKED to see a negative comment for RA Hair Studio and Spa! Working in the industry and being in salons everyday I can tell you that RA is not only one of the TOP salons in the Interior but also one that other salons strive to be like! Not only are they incredibly talented stylists who stay on top of new trends with education consistently but they pride themselves on having second to none customer service. Although the guest who had the negative experience is, of course, entitled to her opinion, it's really too bad that she didn't go to anyone at RA to let them know of their experience and instead had to post a negative remark...they would have fixed the problem for you! That is a fact and anyone who has ever gone to RA can attest to this. I can't say enough good things about this salon, the stylists both in the hair and Spa side, the owners and the customer service staff. Oh, I forgot to mention that this is also where I chose to go along with my family and have done so since I moved to Kamloops 6 years ago. HAPPY CUSTOMER!
