We had gel pedicures booked but when we got there the price was different than quoted. The receptionist wasn't very professional, maybe didn't understand me. We decided on a mini pedi which took almost an hour and a half. I have been for alot of pedicures and I knew the service wasn't up to par. My daughter said her gel nails all came off when she went swimming!! When I went to another place for a new set the girl said she had never seen such a thin set of gel nails and was curious as to what they had used. Needless to say we won't be going back!

My go-to salon in Kamloops. Very easy to book appointments. Can be booked on call or by walk-ins. Friendly staff that provides excellent customer service. Wide range of services available and also I like the ambience of the salon. The pricing is very affordable and there are student deals available year round. There is also a $5 discount for first timers and for referals.

I met Bhumika when my friend told me she used thread to do the eyebrows. Ever since she did my eyebrows, they just have more shape and I love it! But now I'm so fascinated with the laser treatment, I have done different parts and none of them have hurt. The consistency and her knowledge have generated amazing results, now I only go for touch ups! And to make everything better there every month there are deals! Which is perfect to treat yourself ♥

My first time trying Bhumika Salon. I had my lashes and brows colored and my brows threaded. The girls did a really nice job. I have been to other salons and my eyes were stinging the whole time my lashes were dying and this time I didn't have any discomfort. Great job! Thanks for letting me walk in too. Don't go to this place for men's haircut. They charge $25 for haircut with unprofessional hair stylist. I went for a haircut and the barber was not actually a professional barber. Her hands were shaking, seemed confused, and hair cutting style really made me feel uncomfortable. She left more hair on my left side and couldn't communicate properly even after giving specific instructions. They also don't spray your hair before cutting them with the scissors to make sure all the sides are even. The haircut is not worth $25. Go to interior academy where students will cut your hair professionally for $12. If you want to spend $25, then go to any other place in town where there are professional barbers, went to school for hair design, knows what they are doing, have proper guideline and standards. Never going back here.

Great Experience! Highly recommended to anyone who wants a barber with substance! It's not easy finding a good barber in such a small town like Kamloops, and I just got lucky with Bhumika! She does amazing work! I appreciate the time detail and skill Bhumika puts in nothing feels rushed! Besides that it's a very clean professional atmosphere and they play great music while you wait! I grow my Eyebrows for almost like a month and i have been to Bhumika before for threading. Yesterday, I had an appointment for 1:20 pm and i went few minutes early. She was in hurry and she did my eyebrows so quickly and now when i came home i realized that my left eyebrow is so thin. I'm so possessive for my brows and i'm literally so mad right now.And this happened second time. First time, it was some girl and she didn't even knew what she doing. My mom is in same profession and i think its really important to give importance to every client whether its for 11 bucks or whatever. I would never recommend it to anyone and would never visit again. Enigma Salon is far better. So, make sure you visit there.

Horrible experience. For some reasons I had two nail technicians doing my nails. All I wanted was a gel nail removal. One hand was done well and the other horribly. When I spoke up that I wanted both hands done the same, I was told "everyone has their own style". Now I'm left with nails that are folding and all shaped different and out 36 dollars. Horrible experience, DONT GO HERE.

These people are given an appointment for me and the daughter. But when I attended to the appointment. The person who is in the reception prepared my daughter to the haircut and wait for 10 minutes. When I asked, she said the person who's going to cut your hair is not coming today. What kind of customer service is they provided to us? If they are not able to do that, they must call and cancel our appointment. This is a shame. They don't know how to manage. Even though they well said in their leaf let "Please give us 24 hr. cancellation Notice in advance to avoid being charged for full booked service fees or a portion of.” Are they going to paid any amount for this matter to the customer now???. I have never seen before like this place. This is my first visit to this place. I never recommended to anyone. Please don’t waste your valuable time and go to any other good place to care you better than this people.

I went in for my first time for henna brows today. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize there are two salons side by side (my bad). I walked into the wrong salon, they rushed me in and threaded my brows crooked and thin before I realized my mistake. ONCE I got to Bhumika Salon and Spa, she was able to rescue me and the brows I had left ❤️ I love my henna brows and I look forward to my next appointment when I will have more brows to work with! Thank you for being so wonderful and making me feel cared about and beautiful! Thank you for standing up for me, when I didn't have that power for myself!

Visited Bhumika Salon & Spa for the first and unfortunately last time, I booked a face wax and eyebrow threading. Service was ok but afterwards where I had gotten waxed my skin was more irritated and more painful than usual. I have been to many salons, and regularly get waxed with all different types of wax and have never had this reaction. The next morning I had a very painful and gross rash, burns, minor break out and extreme dryness on my upper lip/ chin area. I immediately, and privately contacted the business with photos, however they read my message and did not respond. I can understand stuff happens but the main issue was the lack of concern/ customer service provided. I really hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Worst Brazilian Ever! I should have noticed by the hairs and wax on the table. The most painful and most expensive wax I have ever had. She had me bleeding, patches of hair left, went over the same spit 5-10 times, got wax on my legs and hips, left the room, multiple knocks on the door, and just overall had no experience or professionalism. She asked me if it was ok, I said yes, even though it was terrible, just because I wanted to get out of there! They also thought I left without paying because it took so long for me to come out of the room since it took forever to change as I was in so much pain! Worst. Experience. Ever. Avoid this place for Brazilian wax if you want to save yourself the most painful one you’ll ever receive. I spent $70 to be tortured, hopefully you don’t too.

I went to go get my nails done and I was told they d last a month, it's been a week and a half and already chipped and the colour has faded. The colour faded from a light pink to a yellowish pink tint. My left pinky finger was always lighter than my others. Luckily, Bhumika got ahold of me and saw how the nail colour has faded. They gave me a credit and I thought that was very professional.

My daughter had a lash lift done Sept 2/20 and within a week her eyelashes were falling out. She contacted the owner sent her photos and she still has not returned her funds. Very poor business practices! The owner wanted her to come back in so she could see but we are a 110 km away, one would think close up pictures would be sufficient enough. She is devastated and praying her lashes grow back!

This experience was shocking, disappointing amd unsanitary to say the least. Asked for a pedicure with shellac, the removal of the old shellac took 45 mins. I had to ask the gentleman to stop and did not complete the service. Went to the front to pay and was told to pay 68.00. I disputed the amount cause it was only a shellac removal. Then was told to pay 57.00 dollars. They charge you for each individual service and add charges. Example 20.00 for gel removal but if you have a pedicure they charge for that as well. Also, I would question the certification of the employees. Only saw one credential on the wall and it wasnt a males name. They also had a number of clients for brow threading and not once did they wipe the chair down.

I have been going to Bhumika's Salon since she opened up business on Sunnycrest 17+ years. At that time I disliked anyone touching my face, so Bhumika began the process of expanding my comfort zone by facial massages. Over time I relaxed enough to allow Bhumika to "Thread" my face. The first experience...ow..prickly but not as bad as I had thought. Since then both my mom and I have been steady customers, with the exception of this year due to illness etc. But today I felt I best go in and fix up my poor face,.. Bhumika, I can without a doubt liken Threading to a wonderful facial massage. Thank you see you in 3-4 weeks!????????

I went to get a Brazilian here since my normal salon was closed. The lady didn't wear gloves, she dipped the same stick into the wax pot over and over and at the end she used a brush to put cooling stuff on my skin that she only washed with soap and water and left to dry for the next client. This is extremely unsanitary and puts clients as well as herself in danger of getting an infection or something from previous clients. I have been getting Brazilians for years and have never had as much skin ripping as this time. On top of that it cost me 70$ compared to the 50$ it usually costs me at the sanitary, clean and professional salons I've been too in the past. Not sure what their training was or if any, but their process for waxing is not up to code and not sanitary what so ever. Extremely unimpressed!

Lots of cuts on forhead and eyebrows from threading. Brows werent even shaped properly.Called the store to make a complaint, all I got was a bunch of excuses. Not even an apology. I wont be going back

I had a pedicure done at this salon once before and it was OK. Definitely have been to more professional places. I could not get into my regular place for a pedicure on June 22 so I called this salon and they got me in right away, within 15 minutes. I thought that was pretty impressive. Having said that, I should’ve known that this was not a good sign. Myself and another lady were sitting side-by-side and two young women were starting to do our pedicure. The young woman that was looking after me right away seemed very unexperienced but I thought I would give her a chance since we all have to start somewhere. After the first 10 minutes into the pedicure I was convinced she absolutely did NOT know what she was doing. She did not know how to hold any tools nor do any part of a basic pedicure. When she started to clip my toenails I was starting to ponder whether how I’m going to approach this in after the first 10 minutes into the pedicure I was convinced she absolutely did not know what she was doing. When I asked her if she knew what she was doing, she got offended right away and started speaking a different language to her coworker, which in my mind is quite rude. Then she decided to proceed trimming my cuticles cutting them inappropriately to a point where they started to bleed. At this point I decided that this was UNSAFE. I complained to her coworker which then took over my pedicure. My cuticle did not stop bleeding and they had to put a blood stopper on it. Honestly at this point I should’ve just said that I had enough and got up and should’ve left. But I didn’t. .My one hour pedicure lasted two hours and 15 minutes due to the bleeding of my cuticle. On top of all of this they actually had the nerve to charge me full price for the pedicure. Very unimpressive. If I knew where to report this for health and safety reasons I would. DEFINITELY would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. I was not going to write a review because like I said: everybody has to start somewhere. But it has been six days since my pedicure and my toe has NOT healed, I have a big scab from one side to the other of the cuticle and it looks terrible. There definitely is a lack of proper training for esthetician at this business.

The service was great, and the overall experience was enjoyable. My concern/complaint was regarding the pricing. I was quoted something else and charged nearly double. I had asked for mani/pedi with gel polish and was told $75 for mani pedi and gel polish was $45. The way it was written and the way I had understood was that the $75 was including the gel polish as that was the only thing I had inquired about. The $45 as I took it was just for a mani with gel polish but apparently not. There no indication that the $45 was additional to the $75. When my appointment was done I was charged $140. I was charged the $75 for the mani/pedi and an additional $60 for gel polish. $60 extra because of GEL POLISH. Most places charge an extra $10-20 for gel polish, not $60. And even then the polish in some spots didn’t cover my full nail. Overall not bad but not worth $140. I had messaged them with my concern but was met with basically “sorry too bad” and no other concern about the polish. I waited for another reply to try and fix the situation (redo/refund/credit whatever) but have been given the silent treatment. So please be sure to double check the price as I was given multiple different price points and be sure it’s what you’re charged. I was shocked needless to say and I don’t think I’ll be going back if I’m getting charged nearly $40 just for the gel polish on top of the mani cost.

Had my baby's first haircut today and had an excellent experience at Bhumika Salon. I would definitely recommend Bhumika.throughout the cut, she was very patient with my son and quick and efficient with the cut. I always go to her for my cut and colour and now I'm going to be going to her for my son as well.
