Beautiful hike with amazing views then finish off the day at the hot springs
Nice staffs, great view, relaxing facility! What else you can ask for?!
Great relaxing spa after a hike!
Was looking forward to a unique hots springs experience, however this was more like a community pool. Lifeguards immediately yelled at my friend for not using everystep on the ladder into the pool and slightly plopping in, there was not prior warning that certain pools jumping was allowed and not allowed or that entirely lowering yourself slowly into the pool was required. Aside from this the water was certainly warm. We were looking forward to ice cream and a snack after wading in the warmth but everything was closed before the pool :(
The hotsprings are always so beautiful.
Lovely vistas, delicious ice cream and fun trinkets from the gift shop.
Very nice place with 4 pools, 2 cold and 2 hot ones
Amazing experience. The drive in is a wonder in itself. Stunning vistas in each direction. Lean back, look up or close your eyes...all while soaking in the warmth of the hot springs. Everything was beautiful and everyone was friendly. Canada!
Plan to stay awhile. It's so lovely. Relaxing. Beautiful view.
Was lovely to soak after our morning hike. Not quite as warm as we hoped due to unfortunate weather in the days previous, something to keep in mind. Was quite busy with loud groups of kids but for the price you really can't go wrong. Very clean and lovely views. Recommendations: bring sunglasses as sun reflecting off water is very bright.
Really nice place. Came in the morning at about 11am. Was slightly crowded. There was a queue to get the entrance tickets but it was very quick. Shower area for the guys was clean and dry. There are two thermal pools. The one at the extreme end is for adults as it’s warmer. There are two additional cold pools, really cold and don’t think anyone can’t spend anymore than a minute there.
Nice big hot pools, and 2 cold plunge pools. Both were clean and lots of room to move around and find a place to chill. Beautiful views, a few ice cream places in the vicinity. Only downfall is the locker system, had to use a provided token, no option for coin or self provided lock. A great place to spend an afternoon.
The pool, 2 hot and 2 cold, are al l amazing. Beautiful views while soaking in the pools. Can sit along the edge of the pools and enjoy the scenery. Small cafe if you would like a treat. About 10 mountain sheep were in the parking lot greeting the guests to the pools! Amazing!! My only issue is the 26km drive to the pools. The road is steep and windy and wonder if a shuttle to take people to the pools would be a good idea. Also appeared like part of the road near the pools was sinking.
Great place to visit on a rainy day in Jasper. About an hour outside of town and a nice drive up the mountain. Very affordable and easy to access. While we were not afforded the view on a cloudy day, the pools were warm and relaxing after many days of hiking. Can get busy, so be prepared for crowds. Plenty of free lockers and space to change and shower!
Excellent setting in between surrounded by mountains. 10 times better & cleaner than the Banff Hot Springs Has 4 different pools. Each with different Temperatures 40 degrees, 38 degrees, 24 degrees and 18 degrees It has restaurant upstairs serving coffee. Snacks and ice-cream It is recommended to move around in diff pools to maintain good circulation It's about 50mins out of Jasper on road to Edmonton 25 mins from main highway using winding roads to arrive at the location Highly recommend to visit this place if you are in Jasper or on way to Edmonton from Jasper Better to arrive earlier in the day as it's less crowded and overall clean Absolutely Loved it.
Great view, beautiful road and relaxing water
Best hotspring in Canada Rockies.
Miette Hot Springs are a great place to visit when exploring spots in and around Jasper National Park. It's short drive off the main highway on well paved roads. The parking lot is a bit cramped and if you go on a busy day make sure you drop someone off at the entrance to stand in line as it can take 30+ minutes to get in. They have cold pools and large hot pool - a temperature for everyone. The view of the surrounding mountains is inspiring and the pools are relaxing. This is a basic public facility and there is nothing luxurious about the pools or change rooms. You can rent bathing suits and towels and lockers are only $1 when you pay the entrance fee. Miette is a nice excursion and a beautiful relaxing location. I wouldn't consider it a must see but it is well worth a visit. And yes it can snow even in July!!
Beautiful place to visit east of Jasper. BEWARE, drivers with limited experience (driving motor homes) should assess weather & road conditions before taking the alpine trail from the highway... especially in fall & spring, as conditions change quickly during the day. Trailer Towing: Give everyone a break and leave your towable at Pocahontas or the lower/campground parking lot.
Long line ups but so relaxing
Great place to relax after a day of hiking. 4 pools with different water temperature. Try them all
Great place to go to before going to Jasper
AWESOME PLACE TO VISIT!!!! If you are in Jasper than you must visit this place. Very clean, the staff is friendly and also there is a small shop were you can serve a nice meal and some nice treats. Very good and the price is good also. MIETTE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's basically a couple of heated pools at 40°. Not really a natural spring. Expected a more natural setting, but felt great on the muscles and joints after a 5 hr hike up Sulphur Skyline.
Quaint place. 1) No AC because you are in the mountain but when under a heart wave, the heat in those cabins is unbearable.... until about 4 am when the cool air is finally there. No fans either. 2) the hot springs were closed...Covid19 3) the room we were at was too small, no chairs, just a small bench and small desk. 4) nice owner and great soft ice cream. Would I return? Probably not. Further than I thought from Jasper.
Yes. Go. It's really kind of surreal to experience if you go in the colder months out of the year. To be outside with an amazing mountain view enveloping you (if you're lucky there will be snow) and to be swimming. The water is very warm and very relaxing. Great facilities here. While I would have preferred a more natural hot spring, this highly developed center is very nice!
I love the history of these places and the nature and the scenery. Mix in the wonder of a boiling hot spring bubbling out of the ground and it’s a supernatural experience. Detrimental to this is the modern style swimming pool. I’m used to roughing it so I’d be happy flipping around in the brook between the boulders. I suppose most civilized tourists probably would enjoy the swimming pool. Make sure you hike up the creek about 500m to see the source. It’s pretty cool.
Very nice (and amazingly affordable) hot springs. There are 4 pools, 1 hot, 1 less hot, 1 cool and 1 cold so you can jump between them to help regulate the heat. Pools are very accessible with shallow and deep areas and there were lots of families with kids (but not obnoxious kids). There's a cafe that I didn't go to and everything was very clean. Beautiful place to catch the sunset and they are open until late. If like me you are car camping (or just camping in general) this is a very cheap way to get a shower with the bonus of relaxing in the springs. I also stopped at the little "resort" just down the hill and had a delicious blueberry frozen yogurt. Good way to cool down after the springs.
Perfect place to go after a hike up sulphur skyline, or just to go in general. It s a great inexpensive place to relax and enjoy the views.
Amazing hot springs but hot water was not good.
First time and life time experience! Peaceful valley- best Hot Spring I ever had.
An amazingly relaxing place when not busy.
Miette is so beautiful and we love going there! It is a wonderful experience for the whole family. It's fun to try the cold pools and then jump in the hot pools. They have swimsuit and towel rentals if you need them. Great value as well.
This place exceeded my expectations in many ways. Beautiful view, peaceful, not too crowded. The staff was excellent. And the variety of temperatures available made the experience satisfying and fun. We came in the morning and went for a small hike at noon and then spent another couple hours. Highly recommended.
Very nice, isn't natural at all. It looks like a few swimming pools. Two hot and two cold. Nice locker room and shower facilities. Other than being warm no real way to differentiate it from any other swimming pool. It is surrounded by nice mountains
Had a great time here with friends! The scenery around is very immersive and it can be easy to float around for hours! Really enjoyed my time here! There are also some cold pools to get into for a more pool spa experience!
Great trails, great food, really nice experience.
This was a fantastic place. Ashley was incredibly cheerful & helpful. Highly recommend
There are 4 pools available. Price is reasonable. Gets crowded though. Also a bit of drive but worth it. Drive at recommended speed limit due to a wild life. Consider going on a short hike to the source.
Amazing spot to stop by when in jasper, about $7 per person and they had the option to rent a suit and towel For about $4, would have been worth it to not have wet clothes on the way home.
Amazing views from large hot pools. There are also 2 cooling pools for those interested in a shock to the system. Unfortunately due to recent rains the hot springs were a little less than hot, but still an enjoyable experience.
Nice clean place. It was indeed hot, too hot for me, but perfect for my friends. And very affordable!
Road was a bit sketchy driving in. Views well worth it. Water was great. Signs with temperatures of the various pools would be helpful
It is just like another hot pool at your nearest aquatic center (swimming pool). Nothing special. Not for someone looking for a quiet or solo time. Staff is really good and helpful and energetic. If you are in the area, definitely go and check it out. Not worth making a special trip though. Although, there is a restaurant close by. Definitely worth checking out.
We go here almost every summer! It has the best scenery I've seen for a hot spring, sort of on top of a hill with a panorama of mountains all around. It has a hot pool, a warm pool, and two cold pools (it's fun to go from one to another). They have a nice cafe and a little gift shop. There are several options for places to stay at, there are the bungalows there, the pocohontas cabins near the main road to jasper, and several campgrounds in between, we prefer the pocohontas campgrounds. Near the parking lot there are also picnic tables and fire pits. Last of all there is so much wildlife, lots of birds squirrels and especially goats all the time! We love to stay at the campground and then go to Jasper or the hot springs depending on the day. I really recommend this place.
Cool hot springs out in the wilderness, short drive off of the highway in good conditions. Good changing/shower facilities, couple of colder pools as well as the hot. Be sure to check if the road is open, some flooding damage.
Wonderful non smelly hot springs! I definitely recommend this for everyone. It was so relaxing, and the views were breathtaking. It's very reasonably priced as well.
Billed as one of the best hot springs in the Rockies, Miette Hotspring isn’t just hot, but set in a very beautiful area lined with mountains and forests. The pools are clean and offers sufficient lockers for everyone. Entry fees are reasonable at about $7 per pax. Best thing to do after the Sulphur Skyline hike!
We visited a couple of times and loved the environment. A very surreal experience with the breathtaking mountain backdrop and the bats dive bombing after bugs was so cool to watch. It's nice during the day but extra amazing in the evening.
Wonderful place with wonderful service!
Lots of wildlife! Great selection of trails. Incredible scenery in every direction. And of course the mega relaxing hot springs! Just do it.
Gorgeous and the hot springs are warm!!
Nice to be able to relax from touring in the hot springs, swimming pools. The price includes a token for a locker so there was no worries about belongings while in the pools. We stayed in the pools for a good soak, then we hoped to go to the cafe. This closes before the pools so check this out before you swim. The cafe also sells some souvenirs and a range of clothing. One of our party purchased a warm lined jacket which she was thrilled about. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great hot springs. Prices are very reasonable and they have a two hot pools and 2 cold pools. Definitely switch it up and try them all out! Also have towel and locker service as well!
Stopped here for a refreshing dip after the nearby Skyline Hike. Similarly priced to other pools, though this one offered slightly more value with a selection of pools of different temperatures, from very cold to pleasantly warm. Surprisingly crowded considering the location. Good views. Small cafe and shop also present.
Simple amazing experience.... After a great hike you must come relax in this water ... It's therapeutic...
Great value for the hot springs like 6 bucks CAD not to mention incredibly picturesque views.
A great time to unwind in these natural hot water filled swimming pools.. 2 hot water and 2 cold water pools.. surrounded by mountains and at a very very reasonable price this is a must if you can afford to drive 2 hours from Jasper
Multiple pools of different temperatures
Long drive to get here, over a half hour queue to get into the pools, and then it's basically a warm swim in a pool very crowded with other people. The views from here are great, but I can enjoy the views from plenty of other places in the mountains as well. Water temperature was pleasant, not too hot, and they have a very nice shallow pool for little kids. Swimsuits available for rental, but none for sale in the small gift shop. Entrance rates very reasonable, just over 20 for a family. The best thing about the visit was the shower before we headed back to camping.
The hot spring is nicer than the Banff one as it has multiple pools, even cold ones ! Even though the view is nicer during the day, i would recommend going later in the day for the smaller crowds and the enjoyment of sitting in a hot pool of water with the cold air around you
Relaxing time for parents & fun for kids
Did the skyline and rideg hike was fantastic.
An Amazing and unique experience, definitely worth it
Fantastic experience.
What a beautiful place to relax and recharge yourself with family! Miette Hot Springs is a situated a few miles north-east of Jasper. There are so many points on the way to take pictures and enjoy the scenic beauty. The staff is very polite and helpful. There are two hot water pools - one for kids which has lower temperature and the other one is deeper and with slightly higher temperature (40degree Celsius). There are two pools with cold water and around 1.3 m depth. They have locker and shower facilities with changing rooms. I would certainly recommend going there while visiting the national park of Jasper.
This hot springs is in the Jasper area and quite some kilometres inside from the main highway. The twist and turns to this hot springs is fun to drive if you like this kind of a drive. The hot springs has two pools and two small pools. The views are amass you can see mountains in the back. The pools are clean and change room and shower facilities are clean. The staff are amazing and made all the difference. Lots of things to do around - trails ( tough land long) and source of hot springs nearby (was not open the day we visited).
Water felt amazing. Did some hot to cold therapy and my hair and skin felt great after my soak. You can rent lockers and towels and they even have swim suits if you didn't bring yours. The view was beautiful and I was so at peace ❤ definitely going back!
Pretty cool place.
After a long grueling day hiking we decided to get some relaxation at the springs. The drive from the main highway was beautiful! The springs were very relaxing and would recommend it especially for the cost. It’s not super scenic like other places but it’s awesome.
Really beautiful views, water is extremely clean and friendly works, however gift shop is small and cafe is over priced
Other than the ride up (25 minutes of winding+++ roads, not great for those that get car sick!), We loved everything about this place! The parking lot is ample and we found a spot rather easily, as there seems to be a high car turnover. The admission is surprisingly cheap ($7/adult) and you can get a towel or bathing suit for rent for under $2. The admission includes a locker, which is reasonably sized. The locker room had several changing stalls and showers and were rather clean. The hot springs pools (2 hot and 2 cold) were rather clean considering the amount of people, we occasionally saw a few flies or hairs, but nothing major. Even on a rainy day, we still had lots of fun! Our group of 7 children and 5 adults spent about 90 minutes here.
It was loses because of the rain, it's look like regular lake, I was expecting something more Natural
An absolute must do for everyone passing through on their trip through Canada or Canadian citizens that need to explore their backyard more. It can get crowded in weekends in high time but I never find this to bother me as there is plenty of standing room. Its open till 11 for most of its season so you can fit this in after your day of activities with ease.
One of the benefits of Covid-19 is the closed road to the Miette Hot Springs! The whole ride takes a little under three hours and is breathtakingly beautiful. Nice vistas are way more noticeable whilst climbing a hill. Super fun downhill ride on the way back. We parked past the Pocahontas resort next to the falls walk. Only negative was that some motor bikes drive around the barricade, so keep an eye out even though this Jasper National Park road is closed to motorized vehicles. Enjoy the ride!
An amazing place. A must see near Jasper. And they have an amazing chili to enjoy at the terrasse.
Sitting pretty and hot, almost an hour drive from Hinton and same time from Jasper, and approximately30 minutes off on highway 16 , from Pocahontas Cabins: is a gem of spot. This is Miette hotSprings. Lovely, welcoming staff, nice change rooms with shower, swimsuit driers, lockers and a life-guard-a-pool for your water safety, it is perfect for a Day’s outing. For just under 10$ per person ( with towel, swim suits and locker), you can enjoy as long as you can, for a day, with your family or get cosy with your girl ????friend in any of the four pools, set at varied temperatures. There is a nice cafe and snacks outlet right on the spot. Lot of parking, nice surroundings for trail walking and open space to just enjoy with your family. I was here with my BOSS, (my better half)???? SURE, we would like to be here again and again
What a great time for an affordable price. Would go again...I recommend going on the way out of town since it's a ways away from the townsite. Even the drive there is beautiful and worth it on a nice day. Had different temperature pools to hop around to. Only complaint is the change room floor was nasty (needed to be hosed down) but they didn't want us to wear any shoes on it.
3.5 It can get a little crowded during peak season. I was just an arms length away from the guy next to me. Water temperatures are luke warm but not hot.
Worth making a stop before heading east. Good view of mountains and trees, and relaxing hot spring. Also lots of wildlife around
You can rent towels and bathing suits from here if you stop by on a whim. The views from the springs are gorgeous and the water is so nice. It can get very crowded there so choose your timings well if you want some peace and quiet. Lockers are free - they accept card - plenty of parking and shower gel provided in the showers. We were lucky enough to see a bear on our way to the parking lot too.
Really relaxing sitting in the pools and looking at the great view of the mountains. If you go down the walking trails near here you'll see the ruins of the old got pools and changing rooms built in the early 1900's, and if you go further you find the actual source of the hot springs. Really cool.
The place is beautiful to hike! The scenery is majestic and a lot to take in, there wasn't enough time to experience it all!!
Hot Springs are nice but are very commercialzed. Price is a bit high and can be overwhelming with the large crowds. One of the best hiking trail heads can be found here though! Interesting sites include the original hot spring ruins that can be viewed. History of the hot spring and being able to feel the source of the hot spring. Definitely recommend if in Jasper and visiting the hot springs.
It was pretty cool swimming in a hot tub knowing that you are in top of a mountain. It was cold weather about 10C outside yet we were warm because of the warm water in the tub. The view was amazing too, clouds resting on the mountains and a bit of cool rain dripping. It’s was a cool experience. After the hot tub we went on a short hike to the source of the springs, it’s a nice hike.
perfect warmth, large pools - yes, poolS. facility was clean, and really nice scenery while in the pool relaxing. the cafe beside it also serves as a souvenir shop is also fair in prices compared to downtown shops. very warm staff. the ONLY downside I must say is that the road going up is so curvy and narrow. also, there is only one signage pointing/saying hot spring. so if you are a tourist, you will have to take a chance that you are heading to the right directions. also from the main road to the hot spring, there is no cellular service, so a gps device is highly recommended. the showers are not that many though, but it was still a great visit.
Very clean facilities and great views. Short drive from the highway with cabins along the way if you wish to stay longer. The hotspring is just what the doctor orders! Four pools... cold, cool, hot and hotter. Great for the back!
There are two pools of hot water and two cold water. It is convenient that you take your towel, bottle to load water, shampoo, rinse cream and comb. The landscape is very beautiful. You can buy lunch, coffee or some snaks. There is no wifi.
Nice drive, watch for bears. Excellent hot springs to relax Perfect location surrounded by mountains Open late Top it with a coffee or soup from the coffee shop
Great place to relax in the hot springs (4 different temperatures of pools) and also the mountain sheep are very friendly!
2 hot spring pools and two cooler pools along with a small restaurant and beautiful view. The water temperature was about 40c when I was there but it varies throughout the year. It was less than $10 per adult, including locker fee and towel. Swimsuits are available to rent as well. I didn't take photos of the pool for privacy reasons but the photo below is the view.
Incredibly beautiful place. Surrounded by mountains. It’s so cheap there’s no way you can pass it up. A nice soak in the middle of the mountains. Two hot pools and two cold pools. Bathrooms and change rooms. A bathing suit spinner to get the water out. They have towels if you need.
Go when you can. Because there are times that you can't. It's the closest hotspring to Edmonton, close enough to make a day trip possible.. sadly, only from late May to early October. Once you're done soaking and rejuvenating, take stroll to the source. It's one helluva stroll!
Cheap and worth it! $6.05 for two people, plus change for lockers. The views around are wonderful, they have cold pools, which my partner used to jump start his metabolism, and then the hot springs. You can stay in as long as you’d like. It was wonderful to jump in right after our Sulphur Skyline Hike in the beginning of October.
Great setting in the mountains. Loved the cold pool (15 degrees) to the hot pool (40 degrees)
amazing hot springs, great drive there, great price, clean and fresh. Love Love Love it. Will come back when in the area. much better then the Banff Hot Springs. Highly recommend. Only downside they are not open year round so make sure to check the hours before driving all the way there.
Miette Hot Springs is so much more than a hit pool. The hikes are wonderful and the views are stunning. The ruins of the old Hot Springs is a great place for photography and if you're lucky, you'll have lots of wild company! Follow this path and you'll find the ruins!!
Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Jasper National Park! Surrounded by lots of great trails and scenery! We saw lots of wildlife and throughly enjoyed our time at the hot springs. Will definitely be visiting again!
I liked the experience here, although my view might be skewed since I was extra eager to have a soak in a hot spring after a week of backpacking in Jasper. The facilities were not luxurious and this is not a natural spring with rocks and such. Rather, it is like an outdoor pool. But, the price was very fair also. I especially liked the fact that they have two cold pools and a bit of their history posted in the lobby.
