I'm a regular customer at Vivianna's, and there's a very good reason for it. I've never had such quick service when it comes to waxing. It takes less than five minutes for the esthetician Dahlia to perform a wax, and she ensures it's the least painful it could possibly be. The staff are also very sweet and give you great suggestions on other treatments that could benefit you in your desired area of improvement. I highly recommend!

Vivianna runs a wonderful spa, conveniently located right downtown. Her team is very attentive, offer refreshments on arrival, have change rooms and robes for use during spa services. She has bundle deals for waxes and spa services that can't be beat, and monthly promotions ($125 for 3 facials, $70 for 3 brazilians!)They are very well organized in a retrofitted office space. Have recommended many friends to go see Vivianna.

Took our mom here for mothers day. We were splitted up my little sister and i was in one room and had to share a masseuse while my older sister and mom each had their sperate rooms and masseuse. My experience felt somewhat rushed as she had to do two people, so she would do mine leave me there to wait and then do my little sisters and then change over again. It was suppose to be an 1 hr facial but it felt like we each only got 30 mins and the other 30 was spent waiting for the masseuse to work on mine or hers. My older sister and mom however got the full 1hr advertised. My older sister had a better experience then all of us my moms masseuse was picking at my moms face to remove “white heads” as she claim but in fact they were milia which shouldnt be tampered with if youre not properly trained to remove them. Again these are facilists not dermatologist...which then left my mom scarred for the next 2 weeks...face massages were unsatisfactory more like slathering oil on with no strategic or pressurized force. It was like applying face cream on everymorning except this was for 10mins...my masseuse was friendly hence the extra star but overall it was a one time visit here

I have been going to Vivianna's since I was 17 years-old (about 7 years now) and I have to say the service and care that you receive here is unmatchable. Vivianna hand picks each of her staff members and ensures that every small detail is handled with such professionalism and care that you feel right at home when you go. The ambience of the place makes you forget that you're still so close to home, and not in a far away day spa! If you're going for a wax you'll be wrapped up and ready to go home under fifteen minutes or less, and you'll walk away feeling like a bougie woman/man. If you're not sure if you should go, take this as your cue to call to book!

I did an exfoliating facial with them and. my skin broke out. My skin is now dry and full of pimoles. They definitely do not know how to treat darker skins. Would definitely not recommend

I have gone to Viviana's three times to get my eyebrows waxed and have been very impressed by the service. The esthetician managed to fix a horribly uneven eyebrow wax quite well and I have been very pleased with the results. The staff are extremely friendly and warm. It is clear how much pride they take in their work. As well, the student discount makes it very affordable for students. I am definitely going back.

With the exception of one poor experience (which was rectified by the manager herself), I've had nothing but good experiences. They're polite, professional, and efficient. I had a groupon for a facial.. I redeemed it last week. The facial sucked. The owner and the girl doing the facial were friendly, however I will not be returning. First of all, I arrived to my appointment only to wait around for 25 minutes until I received the facial. Then, the facial commenced and the girl basically just washed my face a bunch, popped maybe a total of 5 blackheads. I spent most of the time alone in the room with a "face mask" on each time. The girl would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. Out of the "75 minute facial", she maybe spent a MAX of 15-20 minutes on my face. The rest of the time, I was in the room alone, told to "try to fall asleep". Yeahhhhhhhhhh... No. Not coming back. I'd rather put my money elsewhere and save my time.

I bought two living social deal, 50% off on a one hour facial for my mother and I. What we got instead is a one hour facial by one esthetician on both of us, so basically half a facial. So while i was getting pampered, my mom was waiting and vice versa, so what we got is half an hour facial each. They had the chance to make a new client. Very disappointing, i will never return.

First of all, this is the SECOND review I have ever written. My mom , sister and myself went for a mani/pedi at vivian's spa during our visit to Ottawa. I had absolutely no expectations. Her spa is located in an office building, but has such a cozy, relaxing and upsale feel to it from the moment we stepped in the door! I don't even know where to start with the amazing service we received. I had a terrible headache on that particular morning and we were running late so I did not have a chance to have my daily coffee. Vivian jumped at the chance to run out and get me a café au lait, and insisted that I try one of her favorite salads at a nearby gourmet coffee shop which she promptly brought to me. Firstly, the coffee and salad were amazing, and I ended up asking her for other recommendation for places to eat during our visit (and was not disappointed with her great choices!). But secondly, I could not believe how outgoing, pleasant and willing she was to help me. Finally, Vivian and her team did a BEAUTIFUL job of our mani/pedis. Next time we go to Ottawa, we will definitely return to her spa!! A++++++

I was on the hunt for my new Brazilian spot after recently moving to Ottawa. In a search, this place popped up and I decided to give a try. The price cannot be beat, as the woman doing my waxing told me and she's not wrong. However, I won't be returning. I've gotten a Brazilian many a time, yet I still I felt slightly uncomfortable during the service at the fast paced nature of the esthetician. I was not sure what she wanted me to do and when, and so a little communication would have been nice and contributed to a more calm experience. Post-wax, I had more problems. I got my lower leg and Brazilian done. Immediately after leaving, I felt an intense itch on my legs. I went home and exfoliated way more than I ever have before and it helped a bit, but two weeks later I had ingrown hairs all over my legs! This has never happened to me before - ever. Three weeks after the wax, the hair has grown back at a much faster rate than normal and is dark! I am a blonde, so seeing dark leg hair is a mystery. I think this is because the woman told me she was using hard wax for every area (not the hard/soft combo I'm used to) so I will attribute that to the fast hair growth. Not a bad wax, but not to my standard. Hoping a good wax exists somewhere in Ottawa.

I was impressed with the attention to detail in rectifying a mistake at Vivianna. I had requested a 75-min massage which the masseuse unaware of the non-standard length wrapped up after 60 mins. When they were informed of their mistake, they returned, apologized and continued with the session. Upon payment, I was offered a gift to make up for the interrupted service - a detail that I found reflected the initial lack of communication and represented an appropriate apology. Anyone can make a mistake; most would not have rectified theirs so seamlessly. Looking forward to returning soon!

Very friendly staff, and owner. The facility was small, but clean, some updating could be done. I went here for a half day spa which was supposed to be from 10am to 1pm, give or take. I arrived early and was greeted by a staff member who offered me a beverage. While I waited to start my relaxing day, various staff would walk pass saying won't be long now, asking me if I wanted a beverage again. The owner then showed up and advised me I'd be right in, I had to remind them that I was there for the half day spa treatment as the staff and owner asked if I was just doing a Mani and pedi. Finally nearly 11am I was taken in to start my relaxing day. It started off with a pedicure, the lady was amazing and did a great job, once that was done, she brought me to a small station to do my manicure, all seemed well at this point. She did a great manicure, her boss came buy and said when you're done that come see me. So I thought like when she finished my polish and all. The lady got up and left to go see the owner my polish was never completed and I was not advised that she was not completing the job. She was then sent off to set up for someone else. I waited there for a bit, the owner went in the room my Mani and pedi lady was setting up in and scalded her on what she was doing. I felt bad for the lady, as I could clearly hear and she was a new hire. There is definitely a way of speaking with your employees in a confidential manner. This wasn't the first time within my titi there I heard her speaking to her employees in that manner. I was a little put off by this, the owner then walked passed and said your facial and massage will be at 12, I said okay, looking at my hands hoping the lady was coming back to finish them. The lady who did the facial and massage came and got me, my nails still not painted. The massage was mediocre, however I am use to a registered massage therapist. Next was my facial, she asked if I ever had one of I told her I didn't. She did not go through the steps or anything she was doing. Before she put the steam machine on she said oh I'll be painting your nails during this time. I was a little shocked, as I really wanted them to be done properly and not rushed. Once everything was said and done I looked at my nails there was one coat of polish on it, but I was so eager to leave the place I didn't want to say a thing. The following day the paint had already chipped, because the lady poorly painted my nails. The entire time they were behind and squeezing people in. I booked this nearly 3 weeks before going, and was hoping my first spa experience would be super relaxing and rejuvenating, especially since my amazing boyfriend was paying for me to unwind and be pampered. I feel the place could use some sprucing up, new paint, more art work on the rooms. Even during my massage someone was clanging dishes around, it was just so hard to really relax. I recieved two free manicures, but I won't be returning to this place. It may be good for a quick visit but not worth spending half a day there for poor service. Oh and I didn't leave until 215pm. Anyways, staff are great, there are regulars that are coming in and enjoy themselves, so maybe it's best to stick to like a Mani and pedi and not an actual spa day or half day there. Kinda wish I could get my money back..

I heard good things about this place but was extremely disappointed. Went here for a brazilian wax and it was the most painful experience I've ever had! The lady was so focused on speed that she didn't stretch the skin to reduce pain or even go back to check. Huge patches were missed, no gloves were worn, double dipping in the pot of wax which is VERY unsanitary, and it burned for at LEAST 3 days afterwards. DO NOT go here for a brazilian wax! Unfortunately, someone had bought me the 3 wax deal, so two of them are going to waste. It's not worth going back to this place.

It is a shame that the owner is so rude because her staff are amazing! Viviana is always talking down to her staff in front of customers and when the staff member walks away she tries to explain why she was reprimanding her employee to the customers. She is truly unprofessional. She has on numerous occasions spoken very poorly to me, her customer. They never run on time there, always expect to wait 15-20 minutes past your appointment time. She always blames her staff but I think it is her fault for being a horrible manager and not being able to time manage properly. I would not be going back if I didn't pay for my 3 waxes but rest assured once I finish my waxes I will never go there again. I am shocked she still has people who want to work for her. It is unfortunate that she is so rude as it ruins the experience for all.

I checked the reviews for this place ahead of time and they were good so I booked an appointment. I get brazilians a few times a year and this was by far the absolute most painful experience ever!! The technician didn't stretch the skin when pulling off the paper or apply pressure to try to soothe the area. She just kept waxing and catching things that weren't being waxed in the process. After I left my poor goodies were on fire and nearly 12 hours later im still tender and swollen (even in parts that shouldn't be swollen). To make matters worse there's still patches, she didn't wear gloves, I didn't get one of those little disposable underwear and she didn't even bother trying to tweeze out a few strays in the front. The only reason I didn't give 0 stars was because the place is clean and the receptionist was very nice.

Unfortunately I didn't have such a positive experience at Vivianna Day Spa. At first my facial was very enjoyable, and a relaxing experience. Then I was introduced to a couple of day creams to purchase. Unfortunately they were too pricey for me, and I wasn't able to buy them. The response I got was quite rude, and she didn't seem to understand the fact that I couldn't purchase them. Other than having this disappointing response, I did have a good experience at Vivianna Day Spa.
