RELAXING! my only complaint is the fact that there is no guarantee you can get the thermal experience as room fills up fast and it's only every 2 hours. I tried twice to get in, with no luck! ????

Ahmad Lutfi

Beautiful! I had a blast. It was raining on the day we went but that only enhanced the experience. Cocktail was great, and I really enjoyed the cold waterfall after the hot eucalyptus sauna. I'll definitely go again.

Known as North America’s largest & best spa; and they ain’t wrong!!! My partner and I had the BEST time early December with mild winter weather and some light snow fall (it was beautiful). We each got a 60 min relaxation massage (perfection) and spent the entire day exploring the spa which includes hot tubs, cold plunges, many different saunas, relaxation rooms, etc; we did it all! We enjoyed an incredible lunch as well as some tacos & beer at the beer garden. I love how you can feel so rejuvenated and healthy and then kick back and enjoy a drink in the large hot tub with a view; only in Quebec! The spa provides unlimited towels, a bath robe to roam with & flip flops that you can purchase if you forget yours. The spa was incredibly clean & well staffed. We cannot wait to go back. I don’t have any pictures because you cannot have your phone (best part) so you can truly disconnect. Lots of free parking available!

Disappointing service. My husband bought me a gift certificate for a massage. When I went to book it, I was told I had to add the thermal experience (an extra $86) to be able to gain access to the site to get the massage. Apparently this is a change in procedure because of COVID, previously it was possible to book just a massage. This was not clear when my husband booked and refunds are not possible for the massage gift certificate. Go elsewhere unless you want to pay $250 for a massage.

Amazing Spa. Best customer service! They even have a weekend package getaway! If you are in the Ottawa region it's about 15-20mins from downtown. Lots of baths and saunas to choose from. Open till midnight during the week too! Perfect date night!

So relaxing - the perfect break! They've recently redone the change rooms. There is now a breastfeeding room. I can't imagine it's used much for actual breastfeeding but I've used it to pump and it was very comfortable. There is a rocking chair, change table, power outlet and sink. And the door locks so you have some privacy. As a new mom, Spa Nordik is a great way to relax and focus on myself for a few hours.

Very unique spa adventure. Nice and big nestled in nature with a variety of areas from silence to quiet to social. Can easily spend the day 5 hours or more in relaxation. Only suggestion would be to reevaluate some of the temperatures and setups of some of the thermal spaces. I know they are trying to accomodate the masses but the Russian Banya was disappointing too cold and no water to throw on the rocks to create steam. The earth sauna made up for it. Maybe a traditional smaller Russian Banya to those who appreciate it but overall great place and experience.

Do yourself a favourite and go early so you can spend the entire day here - bring a book and prepare to embrace ultimate relaxation. More saunas, waters and rest areas than you can count. The grounds look absolutely magical once the sun sets. Massages and treatments seem to book up fast, so book in advance to avoid disappointment (although the thermal experience alone was more than enough on its own).

Absolutely fabulous. I could only stay for about 4 hours and I wish I could've stayed for 8. I went on a Monday morning and it started out quiet but it did get quite busy which surprised me, but still there was a ton of space to find your own place to chill. I didn't try the restaurant or the bar or massage. The change rooms were super clean and they had hair dryers and straighteners so I came out of there feeling like a new person. It's expensive just to do the circuit but so worth it.

Located in Chelsea, PQ. We have heard from many friends and family members about this spa, so when we received gift certificates to enjoy the spa we were excited for a relaxing afternoon. We were not disappointed. They have many different saunas and hot tub's. You have a choice between steam, dry, aroma and fire. The pools, you have a choice of varying sizes, temperature. We did get to try the indoor higher concentrated salt pool, where you can effortlessly float on your back. The salt pool does cost a bit extra. You can enjoy drinks and food in between your different experiences. The drinks were a little pricey, but the food was fairly reasonably priced. We found there were hardly no clocks to be found, but I guess they want you to forget about all time from your outside world and to focus just on relaxing. We had a massage scheduled, so we had to ask attendants for the time to be not late. Everything was amazing and would have given this place 5 stars, but the checkin and checkout was painful. A long line to checkin, which took 20 minutes in line, then another 15 minutes at the desk. Upon checking out, the line was short, but only 2 attendants, so a long wait.

Came here with a friend as a birthday gift and it was amazing! Definitely the best massage I've ever had and lots of hot pools to relax in. We had a drink and shared a meal at one of the restaurants which was delicious, but not too filling to feel bloated for our spa day. I rented a robe and flip flops which was much needed since we went in April and you have to walk around outside to get from building to building. The saunas and steam rooms were all very clean. All staff were friendly and added to a great experience. This was a perfect day of pampering and I can't wait to come back.

Staff was exceptionally good at their respective roles and food was excuisitely good! We were helped inside by the customer service manager who found our vaccination certificates online since we had forgotten them. We ordered from chef Harry at the grill. He made us a great burger served with a side of smokey potato salad and Haloumi Tacos. They were both prepared with care and tasted so good! Later, at the restaurant we ordered the rich, creamy brownie with bourbon-vanilla ice cream and an incredibly moist carrot cake for dessert. They were beautifully presented with many components and very obviously expertly homemade. As the sun set, the lights on the property turned to romantic blues and tall trees in the distance were softly lit in muted tones of red, blue and white. All the saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms and cold baths were in optimum working condition. The grounds, relaxation areas, change rooms, washrooms and showers were extremely clean and well kept. Our afternoon and evening experience at Nordik was excellent in every way!

This is a perfect escape from the city if you need a day of relaxation. It is best to come early in the morning to avoid the crowds. I love that there are numerous pools and saunas to choose from. The staff was helpful and friendly. The facilities are very clean as well.

This place was amazing! I would 10/10 reccomend anyone to come here for ultimate relaxation! The vibe is basically what you would find at a beautiful exotic getaway or a luxury all inclusive type of resort. The hot and cold baths were awesome. My favorite was the sauna show where they get you to meditate and the gentleman pours water over stones to get the sauna really hot. The view over the city is fantastic and you have hammocks and lawn chairs to nap in. I love that they have bars and restaurants to eat and even drink in the baths. 10/10 experience! I would definitely fly from Toronto just to come here for the day.

Arrive SUPER early. My wife & I arrived over half an hour prior to our massage appointments, yet between the long wait for parking and the even longer check-in line, we still weren't afforded the opportunity to change into robes prior to our massage (when I requested to staff the chance to change, she told me that I didn't have time because I was late, despite us arriving BEFORE our expected time and still having 10 minutes before our scheduled massage time - my wife was told the same thing). So I just sat waiting around for closer to 15 minutes, all in my jeans - time that could easily have been used for a quick change. My other major criticism of this spa, is that it's SO busy. Too busy for it's own good - we often would find a pool or sauna that we wanted to enter, but had nowhere to put our towels or robes as all of the hooks and chairs were all taken. Often, there was just simply no room in the pools for us. Long lineups at bars & bathrooms compounded this feeling that there was just too many people around. Unsurprisingly, someone walked away with my robe and towel, and replacements were not easy to find. There weren't nearly enough hand sanitizers either, especially in the high-touch areas like saunas doors & water fountains, and the only thing more visible than people everywhere, were the empty drink glasses and mask litter everywhere - staff just weren't able to keep up at all. I'm guessing that because it's a mainly "outdoor" venue, there's no real Covid policies or capacity guidelines they need to follow, despite the changing rooms and massages being indoors. We were left very confused with the masking policy - you are required to wear a mask, despite being outdoors, when traveling between different areas and pools. However when you enter an enclosed area like an indoor sauna, you aren't required to wear one. What's the point of wearing one outdoors, but not when you are sat directly next to someone (and you are often sitting directly next to someone, given the lack of space). While they do check for vaccine proof at check-in, the entire place felt very relaxed when it came to Covid. Overall, it's an extremely gorgeous place. There's so many different pools, saunas, hammocks, and activities, and each of them is spread over a few different "volume" or "voice" zones - from complete silence, to whisper quiet, to quiet talk, meaning there's something truly here for everyone, provided you can find the space. We enjoyed spending some time in the silence area doing hot and cold therapy, before ending our stay in the louder hot pools on the far side of the spa. The bar and grill are slightly overpriced, but it was nice to grab some drinks and snacks while we were hanging out. The no-phone policy was really refreshing as well - just people relaxing, mingling, and enjoying themselves and each other, instead of cuing up for endless photoshoots of the admittedly beautiful spa & sightlines. Overall, it's a brilliant spa that is utterly let down by just how busy it is, and very relaxed covid approach. As much as we had fun, we won't be going back unless we know it's far less crowded.

The place and all amenities are good. But some of the staff were rude or I do not know what the proper word to use . I saw a Jewish couple in their fifties and look very professional and they were very quiet in the pool and the security guard asked them to leave because they were noisy while other people were making a lot of noise. I did not really appreciate that.

I was really excited about visiting this place again however I was disappointed for several reasons. When we arrived, they informed us about water quality is not drinkable so they told us not to drink water from fountain. Which I understand but it would've been much better to give us an update before coming to the spa. If water quality is not good, some people might wanted to reschedule their visit for better day. Getting an water bottle was pretty hassle since we need to line up at the bar or restaurant to get it. Since we cannot use fountain because of thier foor water quality, they supposed make some station where visitors can access more easily to get a bottle of water. Also, when we got a key for the change room, they decided to allocate my locker and my friend's locker away from each others which makes us very inconvenient. Another one was there was a power outage at the spa and no one inform us about that when we are checking in. The change room was really dark and there was no light in the washrrom and shower and we were really confused. Since we cannot use washroom without any light, we went up to the desk to ask them if they can turn lights on. And finally they said they are experiencing power outage. As a returning guest, I expected to get a replacement for wet robes but when i went to the desk, they said they are not giving out another robe. No valid reason was given. And we been told to dry ours from dry sauna. If i knew that, i would've been keeping it more carefully so when i am outside, i dont have to suffer from freezing weather When I came out fromt the shower before going into the spa area, someone asked me if we need to take shower before going in. I was bit shocked. Isn't it something everyone supposed to do? I think spa staff must guide all the visitors to take shower before using spa facilities. Just jump into the water without shower seem pretty nasty. Because of some issues, I could not enjoy this spa visit.

First time at Nordik. I had two massages (massage and vivifying massage). I fell asleep on the vivifying massage and felt like jello afterwards. The massage staff were awesome and they did a great job. Overall, the food, the sauna, the steam room, the staff, the level of cleanliness, far exceeded my expectations.

Hands down my favourite place. Every time I am in Ottawa I make a point to go here. The perfect place to unwind, recharge and unplug from the world. I always leave here refreshed and refueled. Please spelled one in the Calgary area so I can drive and visit rather than fly across the country.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES IN CANADA, IF NOT THE WORLD! I cannot stress on how positive an experience my wife and I had here. I gifted her this for our anniversary and I am glad I chose this place because we both loved it. Let me share my experience journey with you which might help you plan and get the most our of it. I started by calling Nordik Spa to understand all the services, timings and availabilities. The staff on the phone were extremely courteous and polite towards all my questions. Eventually I booked many services for myself and my wife - massage in nature, facials, Källa treatment, and a thermal experience. Our 1st appointment was at 11am and we were told that we can stay till close to enjoy the treatments. If you are looking for a weekend reservation, I recommend calling 3-4 weeks early to ensure all the services can be booked in 1 day. On the eve of our spa day, I received a call that one of the facial therapists was unavailable due to an unforeseen circumstance. We were sad but still pleasantly happy to see their hospitality to call beforehand and inform us. I requested that if there are any last minute cancellations, please add us to the list. It was spa day and the entrance to nordik spa nature stunned us. It was peaceful and the fall colours brought a beautiful contrast to the driveway as well as the mountain views. We checked in and the staff repeated how sorry they were of the cancellation and shared that they are fully booked for other services but if there are cancellations they would put us at the top of the list. They gave us wrist bands that would be the keys to the lockers as well as the payment method for any consumption of f&b in the location. They do an authorization of $150 and your card will only be charged for how much you eat, drink and buy. My wife asked them to show their flip flops and they were only for $10. I didn’t need one but I recommend getting their flip flops because at the end of the day my personal flip flops developed a bad odour while the nordik flip flops had no odour. The changing rooms are spacious and they provide you a locker with a number which they write on your band. The lockers had 2 towels and gowns when we opened them making it a more seamless experience. We wore our robes and went for the massage in nature. My masseuse was absolutely superb. He learned about my preferences, my pain points and interestingly they ask for preference of essential oils. I chose lavender and he used some of it for the massage. Truly an amazing experience. we went for some grub and their main restaurant is out of this world. Sorry to the readers for lack of pictures but honestly if you visit Nordik, you need to come with empty stomachs. We had appetizers here and all were fantastic. We ordered some cocktails to pamper ourselves and at the end we just had to pay with the wrist band and the staff check on your name to do a soft ID check. After the food we walked around the property and did some thermal cycles. We then went to do our Källa treatment and it brought a higher level of relaxation. They made an indoor pool which underwater speakers so that when you float you can hear the calming music. They provide ear plugs and they simulated the pool to be the Dead Sea so they warn you to not rub your eyes or have the water go on your eyes due to the salt levels. But I assure you the $50 is totally worth it. Highly recommend this place. We then went for some more thermal cycles and then had some drinks at the infinity pool with a gorgeous view of the fall colours and the mountains. A message to the Nordik Spa Management and owners, a virtual round of applause for you from us for the truly incredible hospitality and services you have offered. You have found loyal customers with us and whenever we have friends and family visit us we will try and bring them to your location (not only for them but for us too). Keep up the awesome work you and your team is doing. Please give share with them our gratitude and this review.

I really liked the place. It was clean, quiet, so beautiful and relaxing. A lot of pools, saunas and resting areas. The staff is also very nice. I will come back without hesitation.

My wife and I have been going to Nordik for years. It has maintained its excellence. The staff is invisible unless you need them and then they are always friendly, gentler and kind. The multiple saunas and hot tubs are perfectly heated. They pay attention to every detail. It is always a rejuvenating experience and I look forward to it each year we visit. Nordik is one of my greatest pleasures.

Sohrab Ebrahimi

Have always loved it here and was especially happy with their customer service today. I messaged with Gabrielle on their website after purchasing the wrong time… twice. She was so patient and quick! Thank you! Always a wonderful experience in the pools, saunas and during the shows. Staff is always friendly, the bbq grill by the infinity pool has AWESOME tacos and the vibe is always enjoyable.

Over-rated. $100 for the thermal experience which gives you access to their pools (minus the salt pool) and saunas and steam rooms. In the end, all of the pools and saunas are the exact same experience. The workers scan your QR code before entry and ask that you sanitize your hands. After that, there is zero regard for covid procedures. Guests are not required to rinse off before entering the pools. They ask that you wear a mask when when walking the grounds, but the masks come right off when you're shoulder to shoulder with everyone in the pool and saunas. Covid or not, it is not a relaxing experience when the premises are over crowded. There is a main pool in the "non-quiet" area that looked straight out of Spring break in Cancun. Pool was completely over-crowded, with drinks and empty glasses surrounding the pool. The website promotes bringing reusable water bottles, so I was expecting proper re-fill stations. Nope, just your basic drinking-fountains (reminiscent of grade school). Even these were hard to come by. Total cash grab. One robe provided, but unlimited change of towels (although you have to try and flag down a worker to get a new towel). Only three showers in the girl's change room. They provide low-grade body wash and shampoo -- no conditioner or body lotion.

Akemi

First time here but not the last. Went on a busy Saturday but there was plenty of room for everyone. For privacy, no cameras/phones are allowed outside the change rooms. There are hot and cold pools, meditation rooms with music through headphones, lavender infused salt scrubs, sauna experiences with rosemary infused snowballs on hot stones and a cafe with delicious foods. My favourite experience was falling asleep outside in -4° in a heated hammock. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Robes, towels, masks and water are provided as are hot and cold teas. There are showers and hairdryers as well. The only downside is that this spa is not accessible. There are many steps leading up to the entrance and only stairs inside leading to the changerooms. That said, it was a transformative experience, one that I will not soon forget.

Oliver Helen

We went Nordic on Wednesday, more people than we expected, the Thermal experience was beyond of expectations, we enjoyed the natural winter vibe here, you can grab a wine in the pool, romantic and cozy enough! Cell phones are not allowed outside.

Melissa Gruber

Was not very friendly . Bartender told us we could only have 1 drink per hour. Kinda rediculous when you spend 500 dollars or better in 1 night . Service staff didn't seem at all interested In providing proper service for paying customers . had dinner at restaurant took 2 hrs for 3 apps and a desert . Service was slow and lacked responsiveness. Over crowded and hard to get a spot in a pools. . All around i would not recommend for the price.

Michael Schwenger

Beautiful place. Moderately priced and brilliantly maintained. We loved the hot pools, spas but my absolutely favourite was the hammock between the trees. Fabulous view. Food in there is a little expensive though.

N. Schuitemaker

Beautiful location and amenities. There's something for everyone. Even the food options come in multiple "styles" - casual to more upscale options. Food/drinks ARE pricey but that's to be expected so plan accordingly. I recommend bringing a canvas bag to carry your lip balm, water bottle, book and other possible items in, plus the second small towel they provide for when the first one becomes soaked. This will be helpful especially because not all the robes have pockets and this way you can hang it on the hook under your robe while in one of the pools. My picture is of one of the fires in a cast iron cauldron outside the entry because you shouldn't have your phone with you while inside. The fires all have seating around them to enjoy the warmth, including those outside.

Alex N

Good thermal spa, although a bit pricey compared to others. Layout was kind of weird; for a "thermal experience" the cold tubs should be located near the hot activities however you had to walk quite far to get to them. Food was good, portions were small but tasty. There was a water boil advisory when we went so we couldn't use the vapor room.

Daniel Chak

Always love coming here. Such a relaxing place to come on a day off. There are so many different options for the pools and saunas. The views from the pools are amazing. The food is also great and the drink options even better! Everything in the facilities were clean and nice to use.

Melissa

My friends love and rave about this place, and by the line up for check in and amount of people there on a Monday, it seems a lot of others do too. It was my first time, and while I appreciated all the amenities it was just way too crowded for my liking. When there are no more hooks available for your robe and someone else takes your robe by mistake then that's a cue that there are too many people admitted. I also saw people going behind the desk for clean/dry robes with no staff around. The massage was the best part because it was the most serene spa-like experience with no others around. Overall, unlike my friends who like staying for the whole day, I think a half day max would suffice for me if it's always that busy. When I go to a spa, I don't expect to be elbowing around couples in the thermal pools. It was also a cooler day weather-wise so by the afternoon a lot of the heated and indoor chairs were taken so it was hard to find a spot. Apparently, according to a friend pre-COVID they gave out blankets in colder weather, but none were distributed on my trip. Unfortunately because of the number of people allowed in, I wasn't as impressed with this place as my friends are. It felt like busy like a Disney theme park.

Nicholas Myers

Massage, Thermal Experience, Amazing Lunch, and a great atmosphere. Probably the best day I've had since this insane pandemic ruined "living" for everyone for 2 whole years now. My only recommendation is to get there much earlier than your massage appointment and get oriented to where everything is.

Rabindranath Behera

Great massage but for first time there with all the different tubs and sauna s with different scents and the relaxation room was great with le musique in the headphones and fireplace ,and waterfall iutude le window it really takes away all the stress of traveling. But the kids at closing time were un a hurry to get out and rushed ne all the staff in the last hour which took away the point of being there and was stressful to get use if spa's 1 hour before closing. They (front desk kids) shoulda told me when I made apot 3 days ahead to get an appr. To cone early so could enjoy spa maybe before my massage apt. Instead if after 7 30 pm to get full visite experience for which ut was intended!!????

Michelle Poff

Major accessibility issues. Not recommend for anyone with mobility impairments. Stairs everywhere! Other than that, it’s beautiful.

Shawn Naraine

Really nice place to relax and get away that is close to the city. I would say at a minimum 5 hours to benefit from the experience. There are different little things that can make the experience a little better but not a huge deal.

C Shwnth

I had an amazing experience, and Nordik is wonderful! However, the ground outside is not heated like the other spas I've been to outside... It is absolutely freezing on your feet , should you choose to not wear footwear. Please DO NOT GO BARE FOOT HERE!!! Nordik makes enough money to have heated floors outdoors, I think it would just make it perfect!

Manju Shankar

Took massage & it was a great experience. Their staffs were extremely skilful. Spa was closed due to covid. Have been to their hot pool spa for more than 5 time’s & loved it all. Can wait for the spa to reopen.

Sh Agha

Spa was great! Don't stay at the lodges! We had the internet not work, the air conditioning unit breakdown, flood into our luggage and down into the lower floors, had people in and out all weekend! For the amount of money we spent for the lodge, it was horrible customer service - already had our money rite

Shawn Goertzen

Even though we didn't have the salt exfoliation option on this visit, it was a great day at Nordik Spa! 4 hours of relaxation and rejuvenation in a beautiful hillside setting which is in a class of its own. Can't wait for the Calgary location to open!

Cindy Léandre

The service is amazing, people are very nice. When you need something they help you gladly. The place is beautiful. I love that we can talk at some places, people were not loud when I went. The time that I went was in spring time near summer and it was very nice. It's well maintained. Maybe a little bit to much caterpillar, then again it's probably the season.

Kevin Mackie

We had an amazing experience at Nordik Spa! It is an extremely large space with numerous areas to rest and lounge and equally as many pools, saunas, and fire pit areas. I was worried about visiting during the pandemic and if you feel the same way, go early! We found that there were way less people early in the morning and it allowed us to have the space to ourselves and a few other couples but as the day progressed, there were a lot more people. However, there are signs at each pool of the maximum number of people allowed in at a time and people were very respectful of the rules which did make me feel more comfortable. As well, like I said there are so many different spaces and options that you can social distance with no issues. I would recommend following the thermal cycle to get the full experience (hot, cold, rest). It may sound crazy to go from hot to cold and the first few times it is difficult but once you go for it, it almost becomes addictive. We booked the thermal experience which came with a robe, three towels, and a locker and gave you access to all the baths, saunas, and various rooms. We also added the Kalla Treatment and a massage which I would highly recommend. At first I was skeptical of the Kalla Treatment, but when you allow yourself to let go and float, you really feel relaxed. Also, allow your ears to submerge underwater. I didn't know this at first and was trying to keep my ears above the water which did not allow me to relax but once I let go, it made a huge difference. The massage was good but my experience was ruined a bit by the construction that was happening close-by that did not allow me to relax as I would have liked to. I took off a star because of my massage experience and also because it was VERY difficult, if not impossible to get a hold of the customer service staff at Nordik Spa. A few days before our visit, I was worried that there would be a thunderstorm which would cause the baths to close so we wanted to be aware of our options and I tried calling in and also using the online chat feature and no one got back to me. I was extremely disappointed by that because if we did want to reschedule which I did at the time, there would be no way for me to get in touch with someone to do so. I followed up numerous times and never heard back.Luckily it did not start raining until it was time for us to head out. Otherwise, I would recommend visiting and trying the different treatments for best results and experience. There is also a new location opening up in Whitby so looking forward to visiting once it opens - hopefully soon!

Nathalia Ibarra Muñoz

It could be five star if staff in restaurant act more friendly. The designis perfect and you can spend whole day and awesome night there. Different areas and feelings all together created non stop enjoyable spot. Russian sauna and new pool with view of town are super good. You can finish a book here in silence area beside fire, water and amazing atmosphere. Also massage is great here. Fully recommended

Toronto Canada

Awesome relaxing experience... They do yoga and other beautiful rituals. Staff is wonderful and helpful. Cold water buckets are the best. Cold water plunges could be colder because I didn't feel that adrenaline shock after the hot therapy step as I did with the buckets. Best spa in Nova Scotia.

Bashsea Canada

It is a beautiful place but it is more a resort than a Spa. It is not a relaxing environment. Despite having a reservation system, the place was overcrowded on a Tuesday, I could not imagine how it is during the weekend. Silence was not promoted and people were chatting and laughing which is fine if your plan is to have a nice day by the pool, but if your plan is to disconnect and relax (as it was my plan), I would recommend to choose another spa with more strict rules about silence and the number of people they let it. I left more stressed.

Drooly

Whoa, what an amazing place to go if you want to relax. The costumer service is impeccable and wonderful, they are so nice and understanding. They really make you feel like you're at home and comfortable the entire time. The food and drinks are a tad expensive but it's worth it because you are spending the entire day at a 5 star spa. The spa, sauna and cold pool are always extremely clean and they clearly state the same and the temperature which is a bonus. When walking around to one section to the other you can find alot of workers who can help you and explain any question you have. Another fun bonus is that they don't allow phones which is amazing. I went there latter in the day there was not that many people which was a bonus and brought my book to read. Anyways I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and have an amazing peaceful day..... NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED UNDER 16+ ????

Elie Maalouf

This place is an an absolute must do! I was skeptical but this place is an complete spa resort. The many saunas and steams with aromatic scents, the ice waterpool and waterfall, and exfoliating salts are incredible. Not to mention the hot tub pool bar with a view. Definitely recommend this place!

Emmanuelle Zeesman

I've been to so many spas across North America and this is by far my favorite experience! The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. There are so many saunas and pools to choose from. The food choices are good and they have gluten free options. I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated after a day here. I highly recommend going. Also, I felt safe with their extra Covid precautions.

Christie Tinker

I would say the best spa I ever been. I just need another discount coupon to go again!!

Adrienne Emm

Nice relaxing escape! I love that they are reinforcing the silence area again. They seem to be getting their groove back with more employees and services since lockdown. I recommend bringing a hat. They are very well organized to keep you warm on colder days.

Danielle Fong

The Nordik has always been my personal paradise, I loooove this place! I've seen it grow over the years and become the HUGE spa it is now. Of course some things have changed and I love all the new additions without hesitation. I really enjoyed the russian sauna and exfoliation station, the earth sauna, the new little sauna huts, the Källa, the eucalyptus sauna, the dangling chairs, the sent of wood, fire and essential oils... I must admit that during our stay from 10:15 AM to 10:30 PM, I did really miss how silent this spa used to be and how you could reaaaaally relax and meditate everywhere. Maybe the silent signs should be bigger?! I love the panoramic area and I think it's awesome that you can talk out loud but silence should definitely be reinforce in the 2 other areas. You can now have drinks and food as well in the panoramic area which is really nice. In fact, the pork tacos from the Shack were to die for and the drinks were all very good and well mixed. I did hurt myself in the new hot tub in that area though as the rock was very rough and scratchy. You also can't see the edges of the rock forming the seats because of the powerful jets so I ended up tripping and stubbing my toes on the edges multiple times. It seems like noon to 3 PM is the busiest time of the day. We visited on the long weekend (on the monday which was a holiday) and I was afraid it was going to be jammed packed but it wasn't bad at all. The pandemic safety measures were in effect and I felt safe. Everyone was asked proof of vaccination as well before checking in but I hated to see all the masks on the ground towards the end of the night and even in some of the baths. Towards the end of the afternoon, I attended the Källa bath (salt bath) while my partner attended his massage. In fact, we spent quite some time in this bath during our experience and we absolutey LOVED it. I was disappointed to see how messy it got throughout the day. There were used drenched towels and robes everywhere, the little head cushions were all on the ground, there was trash and used ear plugs everywhere. It remained liked this until we left around 10:30 PM. That's a long time and I wished someone would of been dispatched to clean this area at least once during the day. None the less, this bath is the best. The change rooms were also very messy along with pretty much all the areas to hang your robe and towel. I do understand that staff doesn't know which towels and robes are still in use so I guess I wished people would of been more respectful and "disposed" of their used towels and robes in the proper areas to do so. Maybe add somewhere to dispose of these closer to the baths?! My massage was really awesome. I got Mario and he did an amazing job at asking me about my aches and pains and followed through with a great intensive massage. At some point, our robes were drenched and so we asked for new ones and someone at the reception gave us dry clean ones on the spot. That was super appreciated as it rained during the day and both our robes got drenched. The staff was nice and effective. We also got lost in the parking lot leaving the premises and so I think more signage and perhaps some lights on the main entry from the road would be helpful especially after a full day of relaxation. We saw at least 3 other cars also searching for the exit. I still ADORED my experience and would return in a heartbeat!

Great place to relax, good food and great service at the resaurant, over all nice and clean everywhere. Variety of pools and saunas is realy good. And of coursevthe MASSAGE was great. The only thing was at registration they forgot to mention we have to charge our wrist band with money, it caused me extra trip to the lockerto get my credit card but that waseasy to over come, so if it is your first visit ( like it was for me and my wife) don´t forget to put money on your wrist band at registraton.

An incredible experience in an incredible location. Had always heard good things, finally got a chance to go experience in-person. Gets very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Morning check-in at 0945 was great - definitely picked up mid-afternoon and got crowded in the main pools/saunas. Always a quiet spot to find off to the side though. Massage by Emmanuel was one of the best I have ever had. Beer / wine is expensive (to be expected). Expect $30 for a glass of wine and a beer. We will be making it an annual tradition for an NCR 'staycation'.

The spa is lovely, but I feel like the max capacity is a little high. It was hard to find a spot in the tubs anywhere.

Christina Gussin

Lots of variety of pools and saunas but certainly not as clean as it once was to the point where we avoided a few pools completely. There's no enforcement of quiet in the quiet areas so it's more of a social hour vibe than before. Food and beverages are great. Wish folks would sit on a towel in the dry saunas as required... We'll go back at some point because there's nothing else like it but hopefully they've addressed some of these detractors by then.

Great experience, they’re handling the covid rules and distance really well. Friendly staff and lots of pools, saunas etc. One down side is my girlfriend did get a huge pretty bad burn from one of the steam rooms by a pretureded exhaust pipe that emits the steam. She was not able to swim for the rest of the day and has a huge blister on her leg about 3”x3” and is in 8/10 pain. so maybe recessing the pipe or changing the materials that cover the pipe can’t prevent people from getting burned. It is the green ucylyptus steam room. Other than that, prices were great, drinks were spectacular and the food is to die for. Recommend having dinner there!

Gabe Bucoy

This was a fun experience/stop over activity on the way to Quebec. I was hoping for a quiet and relaxing experience, but this was more lively than I expected with the sheer amount of people around. However, I did enjoy how many different options that were available from different pools, waterfalls, resting areas, saunas, etc. Would recommend to try this place at least once, but do not expect a super quiet experience unless you are only going for a massage.

Manon Doucet

Since a very long time we went to the spa again. I was surprised how many people were there during the time covid wasn't over. It felt like a big party not like a calm relaxion zone but I guess it was time of money making again.

Omar D

Great experience. World class service. Their pools and saunas are so relaxing and clean. Lockers and vestiaires are so clean. The massage was exceptional and so relaxing. Also the food we got at the restaurant was delicious. Got the poke bowl, dips and a salad. Absolutely recommend this place for an amazing spa day.

Catherine Dupuis

Would get a 5 star if when we got there their lockers didn't work and we waited a long time to check in. Once checked in we would have to change downstairs and come give our stuff upstairs to put in a large bag. We could have access to it but had to wait in line for them to find our stuff. It was very inconvenient and nothing was offered for that.

caroline maunder

Absolutely loved it. Easy to park, easy to check in because we timed it right. Otherwise the queue can get quite long. Amazing atmosphere, clean changing rooms and facilities. Unlimited towels, free water bottles and lovely massage. Good is pricey but if you head to the top bar by the largest pool they have chilli for $10! We stayed from 11-6 and had a great time! Highly highly recommend

Stanimir Cvetanov

We went there for a massage. It almost seems like we were the only people there. Almost everything is shut down - no hot springs. Only the massage was available. The interior is very pleasing. The massage itself was beyond what I imagined. I can't speak from a lot of experience but for me it was very professional. I can't wait until they open completely and go back.

Stuart Germain

This spa is an amazing place to go. We have been here a few times now and every time has been very relaxing. The selection of pools, saunas, and relaxing spaces means that you can spend the entire day relaxing and moving from one to the other. The atmosphere, architecture and attention to detail make this place something truly unique and special. The restaurants are also very good and the use of the bracelet for lockers and as a digital wallet makes everything so much easier. I would recommend arriving as early in the morning as you can to avoid crowds and get some time in before it gets busy. This place is well worth the money just follow their thermal cycle and relax.

Susan Spafford

Absoultly loved it, I wanted to give it 5 stars because of the friendly staff, the awesome variety of hot tubs, sonnas, food, etc but the showers really need an upgrade youd think with all this water low pressure would be an issue, but it was so weak I couldn't rinse or wash my hair properly which after the salt pool is neccesary, they said they supplied conditioner but there was none Ive gone to much less expensive spas and they provided high quality Shampoo, conditioner & body wash. I feel bad for my daughter spending all this money to take me here as a pre Christmas gift to have a damper on the end of our wonderful spa day due to low quailty and unmaintained shower facilites please fix your supplies and water pressure

Johan Cornelissen

Always a great time at spa Nordik! Everything is super clean, and in amazing condition. Staff do a good job trying to keep people following the rules. So many pools, saunas and relaxation areas. Food is expensive so keep that in mind, and recommend starting the day early or stay late to make the admission price worth it!

Javeed Zrabi

Restaurants and cleanliness were excellent. the thermal experience was dismal. The hot pools were not hot (Luke warm at best). No decorum whatsoever in silent areas - people were chatting and making noise like it was spring break - totally messed up my zen. I recommend if you want a fancy pool party, but not as a place to go relax. Nordik- I would pay twice the entry fee if you hosted actual silent retreat days. Only let in a small faction of the capacity and mandatory silence for the entire resort (except maybe whispers for checking in and food ordering). Ask unruly patrons to leave. On retreat days you can plan yoga and guided meditation sessions. Offer a meal options people choose in advance to make things easier if not enough people are present to keep the kitchens open. Advertise these silent retread days ahead of time and make them reservation only. There are probably lulls in occupancy at key times during the year.. why not make them better? No one else in the area is doing that…

Declan A. Nicholls

The experience was good; the staff was helpful and friendly. The treatments I received (intense body massage & foot massage) were good. Fresh towels and robes were readily available. Several saunas, hot and cold tubs, and a saltwater floating pool to choose from.

Mélissa

Really nice place to lay and relax. There are different areas, one is quiet for the ones who need peace, there is a section for socializing, and one for murmuring. The whole complex is surrounded by these beautiful trees. There is one infinity pool that overlooks the forest with the city in the distance. There are cold, and hot pools, saunas, relaxation rooms, great restaurants for food, bars to have drinks, places to lounge and hot showers.

Thomas Welden

Great spa. There's 3 different areas based on what vibe you're looking for. Silent, whisper or social. The social area has a bar with food options and a beer tent with cocktail options. Food, drink and spa combination made for an amazing fall day experience.

Eugene Beygin

Absolutely amazing! We expected to be out after 2-3 hours, but ended up staying for 8. Endless relaxation. Many different temp pools from 13C to 39C. Various saunas, massages, salt water float pools, falls, cliff views, drinks and food!

Sam Barr

I love this place! Though I wouldn't come on a Saturday evening again as other guests were making it more of a party atmosphere. The Kalla pool add on is a bit pricey but so amazing. Overall it's a relaxing place to unwind or celebrate with friends.

Cheryl Welsh

Lovely spa with lots to offer. Relaxing, invigorating, and just what I need after a rough week. Many pools, saunas, steam baths, salt baths, and other options. Staff are wonderful, but respect the quiet areas. Don't get caught by the Shush police! Haha! Definitely recommend this place.

Ian Main

What a beautiful place. We had such a good time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Give yourself a lot of time to have a proper relaxing visit.

Raphael Bruneau

Nice place to de-stress yourself from busy schedule. Nice ambience. Awesome spa and sauna facilities. You can easily spent all your day in the bath tubs, relaxing areas while sipping your favorite cocktail.Worth the visit

Mina Trandafilovski

Incredible massage. Be sure to include a few hours after to try the different pools, saunas and have lunch. Left feeling relaxed. Can't wait to go again!

Mei Chow

We had a great day.... from 12:30 to 22:30. We started with the cheese plate outside with wine. The 3 cheese plate was not all that crack up to be.... one out of 3 cheese we like. The rest stayed in the plate. We love cheese, so ??? A 1/4 apple slice, raisins and one little fig (not fresh) with some good fruit sauce. That was good. We also had a rolled Greek kind sandwich. Don't remember the name. Plus it was very expensive for what we got and the quality of the food. The saunas were great, the orange one beside the eucalyptus need adjustments. At the end my friend had his shoes stolen? With orthopedic bottoms, what is wrong with people ? In all we go for the sauna and pools...the one we float is fantastic. In all, food aside, it is great.

Johnathan Barker

Annie Mesengo gave me an incredible massage. Very good at her job and attentive to our needs. I recommend her 100%.

Denis Baudin

Fabulous experience. Beautiful setting

Gypsy Elixir

I think this is my 10th visit. It's always a great time. I do wish they would change up the menu a bit but I really have no complaints.

Monica Habel

The most amazing place to be with wonderful friends on a beautiful cool fall day. So many wonderful relaxing, soothing, refreshing things to do. The food and refreshments where also worth being here. So happy to have had this experience and it definitely will not be the last time I come here. Thank you

Hasopum

It is basically the BEST experience one can have in Canada's extremely cold winter. It is romantic, and relaxing. It is also well organized. If you go, make sure you go as soon as they open because it gets very crowded in the afternoon. The swedish massage experience is great to the point where I fell asleep right away on the massage bed.

Andre Staudte

Fabulous spa, just the admission for the day is worth it for me! The thermal experience is a combo of hot and cold baths as well as saunas and relaxation rooms which they explain very well. I highly suggest you bring your own flip flops, water bottle, and book for the day. The staff is accommodating and friendly and the whole place just is calm. Quite pricey, well worth it.

Jadeney Wong

Loved it very relaxing the lady who gave me a massage hands down the best one I have ever had food was ok but your salad needs more dressing on it there was next to nothing other then that was great would totally come back

Alberto Tempo

Enjoyed the thermal experiences, food, drinks, and massage in nature with my partner. Very close to Ottawa, I would highly recommend visiting. You can easily spend the whole day here, and the Chelsea area is very charming too. The morning was much less busy, so I recommend coming early if that’s what you prefer.

My first unprofessional experience with Nordik spa was booking on line. I had a gift certificate for my spa day and entered everything correctly. Even though I entered the Gift certificate number and date of purchase they still asked for a credit card number to hold my place. When I got to the spa they told me my credit card had been charged for my spa day and it will take 5 days to receive my money back on my credit card. Even though I entered my gift certificate. The manager told me he would take care of it that day. It didnt happen! I called the spa back today July 29, was on hold for 15 minutes and the man in customer service was rude and didnt help at all. The customer service man basically said I did something wrong when booking. He was very arrogant. He basically said it is up to the bank to give the refund. I asked to speak to a manager 3 times and he dismissed my request. They also charged my credit card a $150 preauthorization that was refunded right away at my request. I was not told about this charge until I got to the spa. I never authorized my credit card to be charged this. They should never be applying charges to people credit cards without authorization! Nordik spa is over crowded and overpriced They are money grabbing and dont care anymore for their clients. Also during my day in the areas where you are to be silent and/ or whisper it was very loud. The only quiet time I had was in the saunas, my massage and the kalla. I tried to read my book and read the same line 5 times! I have never experienced this before. I did tell the massage therapist and she said she would let the front desk know! It's too bad. I usually go 6 or 7 time a year and this experience ruined my day and overall experience. I will be looking for a new spa to visit! Horrible experience! I will not be back!

Zoe Allain

I had an amazing experience, and Nordik is wonderful! However, the ground outside is not heated like the other spas I've been to outside... It is absolutely freezing on your feet , should you choose to not wear footwear. Please DO NOT GO BARE FOOT HERE!!! Nordik makes enough money to have heated floors outdoors, I think it would just make it perfect!

Nicole Lance

Loved my massage. What I didn't appreciate is that I got a gift certificate for entrance, house coat, massage & Kalla treatment for Christmas 2019, but had to pay an extra $30 to get those services because they increased their rates when they reopened in May 2021. The gift certificate had cost more than $250, and it's not by choice I didn't use it last year. Also, there were lots of people. Distancing could not always be respected. The site is fairly big. It would be nice to view their map online, and to get an idea of the meal/drink costs and choices. Liked we could refill our water bottle near change room. No pictures. We were not allowed to bring our phones in.

Rada Georgievski

Great place! Many options for saunas. Some rooms you have to pay extra for. The only reason for 4 stars is I felt like it was a bit overcrowded and the shower pressure was extremely light, couldn't wash off the soap out of my hair properly.

M Kong

If you couldn't do an Island getaway this year. This is the next best thing. A day of just moving from pool to ,steam room to sauna , pure relaxation. The grill fare and cocktails are savory and sweet. You can add on Massage and services but I do not know where you will find the time. The location was only 35 mins from Ottawa. You could soak away a stressful week in 1 day . Well worth the expense.

I'm typically not one to share my experiences or post any sort of review but my experience this past weekend at Nordik Spa was one of the worst I've ever experienced with some of the most poor customer service I've ever received. My GF booked a spa experience with a 1 hour massage as a gift for my birthday. We were in visiting from Toronto and so I was quite excited to enjoy a time out of the city and have a relaxing day. We arrived at the spa 2 hours before our massage and were told to come back to the reception area 20 min prior to our massage to get escorted to the massage area and fill out the health questionnaire. We were then checked in for our massages and brought upstairs by one of the managers who double checked our reservation( Mistake #1). After waiting in the designated area with another couple who went for their massage before us my gf was then called into the room before me and I assumed I was not far behind as the couple prior to us were called in minutes apart as well. I ended up waiting in the waiting area for 45 min, with multiple massage therapist and clients going before me. Many of whom checked the computers to see the name of their clients before calling them into the room.(mistake #2). With numerous employees completely ignoring me not a single person asked if I was waiting for a massage or realized that my massage therapist was not in that day and inform me that I should go to the desk. I'm not one to complain about much I've worked in the service industry myself but at this point I was furious for the complete disregard and lack of awareness these employees had. With no phones allowed I was not even able to text my partner to inform her of the mistake, and so went down to the reception to see what the heck was going on. When I arrived the girl at reception informed me that my massage therapist had called in sick and for some reason it did not send a note to their system. She then tried to turn it on me to ask if we had received any sort of email prior to our visit which we had not regarding this issue. After a few apologies she explained that my next visit (there will be no next visit, I live inToronto and would never come back) would be comped or they can refund the full price of the massage( Its been 2 days and there has been no refund yet). They then offered me a complementary drink card valued at around 8.5$. The whole trip cost my GF around 500$ and the best they could do was a drink card valued at 8$. For an establishment that markets itself the way they do and charges the prices they do the complete disregard they had for us as paying customers was shocking. We were told our refund would be processed on the spot and my GF would receive an email before end of day yet the only email she received were 2 "How did we do" Surveys. I hope this issue gets resolved soon and the Nordik Spa take accountability for their lack of professionalism and false sense of customer experience as my whole trip was completely ruined by their incompetence. In the positions I worked at in the past we would completely refund the whole trip especially given the amount of eyes that saw our reservation and nobody thought to mention anything. On a final note by the we left the spa was so crowded that we could not even find a place to put our robes, there were no towels available and the number of people walking around maskless was shocking, especially since we were told we could only take them off if we entered one of the pools or sauna on property.

Dee J

Unfortunately due to COVID I couldn’t experience the entire spa, but I did enjoy a relaxation massage. This was by far the best massage I’ve ever experienced, my partner also agreed. My RMT, Louise was great, wouldn’t definitely go back and request her again!

Shawn McGuirk

Very nice location, which we really enjoyed. The sound design of the entire place is impressive, too, giving it a fully relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately everything there is prohibitively expensive. The food is quite average, but at 5 star prices. They even charged us an extra $1.50 to add ice cubes to a $14 mixed drink! Yikes.

Fernanda Gutierrez

It's fun and relaxing. Lots of different pools, saunas and lounging areas. Stefano, the meditation guide we had was extremely good with the singing bowls. Had delicious a cheese plate and virgin Pina Colada. Can't wait to go back. The change rooms are luxurious. They provide locks for lockers, robes, towels. Lots of hairdryers, showers and well lit rooms to do makeup.

TheYsabelle

REALLY FELT CHEATED - so disappointed. I won't be buying any gift certificates for anyone here. What a shocker! Why does Nordic Spa Chelsea, QC think it's ok to sell a gift certificate and not honor and respect the client's wishes. I was given a generous gift from my daughter to get a foot treatment massage. She bought the body care treatment for 60 minutes. She was told I can ask for the foot care treatment. When I booked, all dates on Saturday and Sundays were booked so I booked a month from now on a Sunday. The customer service person then asks me for my credit card...I asked why since the certificate was paid in advance. He said hold, ill go talk to my manager. Came back and said treatment not available on weekends unless I take the full body treatment. Only available Monday to Friday. I cancelled the appointment as I'm unavailable during weekdays. I will ask my daughter to request a refund.

When we arrived from Europe in 2005 we were familiar with large spa facilities with multiple saunas and thermal pools. In the just opened Le Nordik we found a still rather small but nonetheless charming facility that was the only place to resemble somewhat our experiences from Germany. Throughout the years Le Nordik has expanded and today is on par with some of the large European facilities we are familiar with. What makes Le Nordik stand out even among those is that it is entirely located outside in the Gatineau Hills, which gives it a uniquely Canadian touch, and that it emphasizes the meditative, relaxing aspect of the spa. Everything is constantly updated and feels high end. Over the past 15 years we have had no bad experience. The cold water pools are not really cold in the summer, and certainly do not have the temperature that the pool label indicates. But that's okay, you can feel tough when sitting calmly in the "10degC" pool. The only drawback: it is no longer a secret, and thus can be crowded. But: It is magical in the winter when the is snow falling...

Ammar Hadi

The best spa ever. I used to go there every winter. I can't wait for them to reopen again for full service. It shows that the full service should be open on February 14 2022.

Mimo J.

It was a wonderful experience at the Nordik. Massage was excellent. Time passes by fast at this place .. Make sure you enjoy the stay and not to rush .. unfortunately I had only 4 hrs there which included an hr massage . Therefore, i recommend to spend more time. The massage in nature is not different than a massage in a standard room since there is not much to see. You might want to save the extra money to buy a meal there .

Eric B

Oh come on, while some don't like going to a spa, this place is awesome and relaxing. Nothing beats the cold baths then going into a warm one. The Kahla(spelling?) Pool is really nice too!

Samad Kadri

You would not think that jumping from Cold Water to Hot Water to Sauna Rest would be so addictive, but it is. There’s a variety of pools with different temperatures (0C, 10C, 15C, 21C, 25C, 31C, 36C, 38C) and multiple saunas and fire pits and swings and resting areas. Just walk around and keep going through the different experiences. Everything is provided for you here so simply go in with a bathing suit. You are given a wrist band that will open your locker electronically. The wrist band is also used for buying food and drinks. So simply leave everything in your locker and take the bathrobe and chill out. You are given 3 towels as well. At an additional cost, the intensive massage was amazing too and it’s covered under extended health insurance (if you have it). There’s tons of food options at the spa as well as well as a bar. At the big pool, there’s a snack bar and you can order snacks such as tacos, burgers etc. It’s about a 20 min drive from Ottawa and located in such a serene spot. Make sure you spend a good 6 hours at least. And go with a couple of friends and it’ll be a great day out. The view is gorgeous as well from the Infinity pool. The night lighting is beautiful as well.

Nothing about experiencing the service but more about booking. Specifically trying to utilize a gift card from our wedding! Package is Thermal plus Specialty massage and bathrobe rental for 2. which clearly states that all elements of the package must be utilized in the same visit. Issue is its not bookable and nobody will pickup the phone. Online portal but is not giving any schedule to book online for the next 3 months. and No one will pick up or call me back to adjust this. spent 3-4 hours calling in total 4 separate days. So this is very very frustrating.

Don Natch

Very wonder place to visit! We went for the couples massage and it was a very solid experience! The Russian banya was incredible with the salts that they provide! At the end of the day they have a Finnish spa ritual that was excellent! They have you grab a snowball out of a bucket so you can cool yourself with it. They put a few different oils on the rocks and wave the towels around to heat up the room. I recommend visiting Nordic Spa.

sinead anderson

honestly I've been here a few times & each time my experience gets worse. the last time I went was the first time since the pandemic & it was supposed to be a nice relaxing girls trip but It was anything but relaxing. We arrived at noon (for our booked time slot) & we made our rounds to every sauna & pool, all of them were packed to the point that we were unable to find a seats beside each other, we then decided to grab a bite to eat while we waited for things to get less busy however, all of the restaurants were full.. At this point, feeling frustrated since we had only been there 30 minutes, we went to the front desk & asked if it was possible to get our money back to come another day when it was less busy. the staff member told us it actually wasn't that busy & it was impossible for us to get a refund to come back. We ended up leaving the spa, went for lunch near by & only returned for our massages a few hours later which also were not relaxing. There was absolutely no social distancing, the staff was not helpful, the spa was overbooked & we were unable to enjoy or relax while there.the entire day turned out to be a waste of time and money, safe to say we will never be returning.

Sohrab Ebrahimi

Amazing!! this was our second time going but the first time at night and in the winter???? we went to celebrate our anniversary and the setting was perfect from the atmosphere to the music to the lights very relaxing very romantic a couple of drinks how to meal at the mezzo restaurant and left at around 10 p.m.!! all in all amazing experience the only downside is the fact that you cannot make reservations unless you book a massage so we have to wait about 80 minutes just to get in.... a little pricey as well but the atmosphere and the whole experience makes up for it.

Raquel David

Been here a few times. It's a fun experience. However they no longer have wifi and don't take cash or debit to put money on the wristbands. So we had to carry our debit cards with us. Also weren't told which changeroom to to (2 different ones) so got a bit confused at the beginning

Lauren P

Good price considering you can stay the whole day. Lots of pools, saunas and places to relax. The food and drinks are a bit expensive. Atmosphere is amazing, summer or winter. Our favourite place in the Ottawa area.

Angy Kh.

Went on a Thursday, the place is super clean, so spacious and following all covid precautions. As for the spa it is in the nature and a perfect place to go to, to take a break from the daily busy life as we disconnect completely in a very calming environment. I love that there is no time limit for the thermal experience. I arrived in the afternoon and stayed till after dark and let me tell you the ambiance changes after dark and it is even for lovely and charming in its own way. A lot of food options and drinks are available and at a reasonable price and delicious. Parking is available and free. Lockers are spacious and you can find everything you want ( shampoo, showe gel, hair dryer, hair straightener, …) Highly recommend.

Paul Carletti

The spa was beautiful and the staff was amazing only issue was it was definitely over crowded, it makes it hard to relax when you can’t have a little space around you. Also line for drinks was up to 15 min wait, I would guess it’s not as busy during the week but weekends were super busy for the amount of room on the grounds.

Teresa Pagliuso

Had the pleasure of visiting this amazing spa on Saturday and was blown away with this place! Situated in the mountain with natural rock landscape surrounded by nature and trees. Hot and cold pools, waterfalls, saunas and many other pleasures it was wonderful. Our favorite part was the salt pool situated underground with dim lights and soothing music...we floated our way into another world and it was heavenly. Great price for the experience and so grateful to have experienced it. We will surly be back again in the future❤

Donna Lynn

Firstly the place is very nice, have been going for years! The mask policy makes zero sense. We have to wear a mask outside between hot tubs etc but all of us are in a hot tub close together? How about lose the mask outside the whole place? We all had to provide double vaccination prof and are all outdoors so let people walk around freely. I also had a staff member act quite authoritative while I was walking , took a sip of my water and was informed quite assertively to keep it on. I think le nordik needs to realized outdoors we do not need masks at all , while walking ? Come in

Chris Lee

I bought an incredibly expensive gift certificate as a birthday present for my wife to this spa. In between the time of purchase and our reservation to use the spa Nordik changed their admittance policy requiring a vaccine passport to the entire site which meant we couldn’t enter. They did this with less than 24 hour notice and as of writing this refuse to give a refund for the gift certificate. Anyone reading this may not have the same issues but be warned this spa will take your money and not return it given any circumstances. I’ve since initiated a complaint with my credit card company to charge back the amount paid but will never use this spa and caution all my family/friends against going here.

Robin Kang

Related to the new Dec 20, 2021 Covid restrictions: spa is closed and they did not inform us about this change until we got an email 2 days before our scheduled date even though they had more than 1.5 weeks to notify us about the new restrictions. They automatically give you credit, not a return. Message bookings was still in service but we wanted to cancel since the pools were closed but there was a $50 cancelation fee. We went for the message since we couldn't cancel but the messages were not the greatest. The place itself is very clean.

Andrea Andrea

Great way to relax and enjoy nature. Everything about Nordik is luxurious!! From the pools, saunas, and massages. To the amazing gourmet food. Such an amazing experience. Can’t wait to go back!!

One of the most peaceful, relaxing places I've ever been. The protocols in place for their reopening was well done. I can truly appreciate the spa with less people. You are able to hear the ambiance music and enjoy each area. From the moment you turn on to the grounds you feel like you are some new and you become instantly relaxed.

Denise Matela

Magical and relaxing experience. Husband grew up in Ottawa and makes sure we have a spa day at Nordik in Chelsea every time we're up there for Christmas. I like it when it's a snow day and we dip and relax in the thermal pools. The sauna that goes every hour is a must, too. Not for those who are not comfy with heat though. They have this small show in the sauna room and it gets full pretty quick so you have to arrive a little bit earlier to secure a spot.

Beautiful place. Horrible service. For the amount you pay, you would assume the service they provide here is world-class, but unfortunately it’s nothing like that. Locker rooms are filthy, facilities have broken or missing pieces (broken showers, missing tiles, etc). And worse of all, the customer service is rude and completely disregard what you bring to their attention. I would come back, but would want a better service-based experience.

Kelly S.

Cheryl Meany

I love this spa so much! My husband and I spent an absolutely fantastic day relaxing in all the hot pools and saunas. Make sure to add the Kalla treatment! It was the absolute best part of our day. We can't wait to go back!

What an amazing spa experience in a surreal environment. From the moment you drive up to the complex, the surrounding area immediately brings a sense of calmness within you. I visited the spa for the first time last summer although the check in queue was pretty long, the staff was extremely friendly and informative. I believe if you visit before the “high season”, you cannot reserve a certain time to enter the spa but because I had a massage booking that day, I was guaranteed access into the thermal baths beforehand. At check-in they will provide you with a bracelet which is connected to your locker as well as your credit card so you can easily pay for everything you consume without carrying your wallet with you. There are numerous thermal baths available and even with the amount of people on the complex, you’ll be able to find peace and tranquility. It’s good to check the maps on site to see which baths/steam/sauna you want to check out. I highly recommend the Finlandia sauna for the Aufguss ritual. It’s not far from the entrance area and it’s an experience you do NOT want to miss. Check the timetable board outside the sauna room to make sure you don’t miss it! If you walk towards the back of the spa, that’s where you’ll find the louder and rowdier crowd close to the infinity pool and sunbathing loungers. There you can grab a beverage and enjoy the sun with your friends or visit the restaurant for a bite. My one-hour intensive massage was hands down one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced. The masseur was attentive and professional, and he made sure to take care of all the fatigue and discomforts I had in my back. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire spa experience here and cannot recommend this place enough.

Michael Morris

This was one of the best "treat yourself" experiences I've ever had! There are so many different types of wet and dry saunas, hot and cold pools, other spa amenities such as hot stone beds, meditation areas, Russian salt scrubs, available add on treatments, beverage and dining options, beautiful views and so much more. I highly recommend purchasing the spa access and spending the entire day taking advantage of all there is to do and experience at Nordik. If you are interested in add on treatments such as massage, I do recommend booking online in advance and not waiting until the day of your visit. I will be making the 6 hour trip from the GTA to the Ottawa/Gatineau area to visit Nordik again!

Dawn Schmidt

Overall it was wonderful. It appeared that there were fewer staff than the last time I visited. This meant one washroom needed more attention, some guests were using cell phones and empty drink glasses were left by the side of pools which was unsettling. The hot stone spot was not at all hot but overall they did a wonderful job of making me feel safe and relaxed. The food at the restaurant was amazing and our server made you forget about the pandemic entirely. She was wonderful!

Mal Raddalgoda

Great Scandinavian spa experience. Extremely relaxing; saunas, hot tubs, cold tubs, food, drinks, areas to relax or sleep. This place is restorative. Highly recommended!

Catherine Borgia

Missing the old Nordik. It was a sanctuary to chill out and decompress in which I would visit several times a year. Now it is loud and somewhat obnoxious. I do love some of the added services. However, even though they claim to have quiet areas, it is not enforced. The entire place is a social gathering. It is just not what it used to be. If you're looking for a hang out place with friends to socialize in a pool, this is what it has become. If you want a spa relaxation experience, you may want to try some of the other options in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.

Christina De Santis

A great place for a relaxing day! Really big spacious lots with different temperature pools, saunas, scrub features, and bilingual staff that help you out. Love the infinity pool where you can bring drinks in. A little pricier for the hot pools now but you can make a full day of it worth your while.

Kris Gabriele

Definitely worth the drive from Montreal. It's big, well maintained and lots of various pools, sonas and cozy resting spots. A section is more quiet and another is more chatty. Nice selection of drinks and foods available on site. You can even grab a beer and head for the infinity pool. Had a great time.

Grammy Claire

Our visit was right after the restriction eased between the provinces, we drove from Toronto to Ottawa then to Chelsea Quebec. We arrived an hour after our reservation time, we were scared not to enter. But the staff was so friendly and helpful. The experience we had was so much fun and relaxing, with all the amenities open, including the bathtubs, Saunas, Jacuzzis and infinity pool. The weather application was predicting it to be cloudy with 70% chance of rain, it was clear sunny and warm. The food is so good, you can't have enough of their burgers, tacos, and the cocktails. Though I missed the grilled cheese sandwich they used to have, my favorite sandwich that can't have no more. Thank you for the service and I will be definitely coming back (maybe seasonal grilled cheese sandwich)

Shane Grant

Really nice place. Some things were closed but overall there’s so much space you can really relax without too many around. This was on a Thursday though so I’m sure during the weekend it would be busier. The four in our group really enjoyed the salt pool, if you are only going once or not many times I highly recommend doing this. It’s also nice to have a drink while enjoying the hot tubs. Another thing was the food in the main building was good. I wouldn’t get the burger again but the mixed bowls like the pesto gnocchi meal was amazing. We will definitely be back again

Becky D

I absolutely loved my experience. For 90$ the thermal experience is completely worth it... My BIG complaint is that the food portions were laughably tiny. I couldn't believe it when they brought me my vegan bowl and it was easily three spoonfuls, no lie. The salmon tartare my partner had was overpoweringly salty from the mayo they put on the plate and the Miss Vicky's chips they served it with. Not very impressed with the restaurant, but everything else was fantastic! I particularly loved the salt scrub after the sauna.

Jeffrey Chow

The atmosphere here was quite nice at night. The most disappointing part was that they had multiple hot tubs but non of them were hot enough. Their max temperature was only like 35℃. I just hope next time they have a tub just a little bit hotter.

Meghan S

We spent the afternoon and early evening here yesterday, for our first experience at Nordik Spa, and we were pleasantly surprised. We picked the basic baths package ($70ish each) and really enjoyed the selection of baths and saunas. Despite it being a busy day, we still felt we had our space at each location. Our favourites were the Russian Spa with the salt exfoliation and the Hot Stone beds. It definitely quieted down after 4pm or so, so if you're looking for a tranquil experience, I'd suggest a late afternoon/early evening visit!

Ali F

Amazing spa experience! I think there are like more than 20 différents baths/saunas/pools etc! There are 3 different places to grab something to eat and you can even take a drink and bring it in the pool or baths. Very nice experience ; greatest spa experience in the Quebec province for me (I've done quite a few thermal experiences all over).

Slice of Joy

Had a wonder day by myself here. The message was great, I had the tonic which in my opinion is a combination of deep tissue and Swedish message. I then did the Nordik cycle (hot-cold-relax-repeat) 3 times and then enjoyed a nice lunch. I also had a glass of rose at the bar located at the top looking over the spa grounds. Very nice way to spend the day. The only draw back is that around 3:30/4 it becomes almost uncomfortably busy. Many people rushing around in robes and almost every spot is taken up in all the restaurant areas, keep this in mind for your visit and plan accordingly.

Tracey Walker

I visited this place some time ago but never came back. Reason being that when I got my massage by a lady there, the room was freezing cold and when time was done, she only finished massaging one leg and forgot about the other. Really disappointing experience considering how nice this place look like!

Dennis Denev

I have loved this place and have been many times. This last time I had heard that things were very busy, with lots of people, and the experience was no longer very quiet and relaxing from friends. This turned out to be true and we did not have the typical relaxing experience we’ve come to have. It was disappointing. I hope this may be due to lack of staff, but there were no seats available in many of the pools, and many of the relaxation areas were filled up as well.

H M

Went here for the first time last week. Overall,I had a really good and relaxing experience. It was hailing/snowing quite a bit that day but that made it better for me personally. The sauna and pools are great. Couple downfalls: someone ended up taking my friends robe, and they don’t give you another one unless you pay again. I understand the concept behind this, but it’s quite unfair for the person who paid for the robe and has to do without one as someone else took it accidentally. Second, the food is at most ok for what you pay. It’s probably better to bring your own robe, that way it’s easier to identify it. Other than that, staff was friendly. Everything was clean.

S

Waited for a while despite having a booked time slot, was very frustrating. Once we were inside we had an incredible experience. Even on a busy night there was plenty of room in all of the facilities. Will definitely be back!

Chris Kidney

This place is great! Go early, less busy. My only complaint is regarding masking... Masks are mandatory to walk between pools/rooms but not inside. I don't see the point if wearing them to walk around outside, then remove them to sit beside people in a sauna etc. You have to show ID and proof of double vaccination to enter do this makes me feel more comfortable. Regardless of this, I love this place.

Jesse O'Neil

I booked and visited this spa with my partner on the 28th of June 2021. we made a reservation for 5pm and planned to have dinner at the spa and enjoy the spa in comfort. But when we arrived, the spa's electricity went out and they said they were supplying electricity through the generators but the system was not working because half the generators were not working. They gave us a paper bracelet and told us that the cabinet in the change room didn't work and we had to store our bags at the counter. Although it was inconvenient, we believed the staff's words that other facilities were operating normally. However, the sensor in the bathroom didn't work, so I couldn't wash my hands, the waterfall facilities and the water press in the spa were not working, and some saunas were closed. Also, we were vegan so we planned to have dinner at the restaurant but the electricity in the restaurant was out and the restaurant was closed, and only a small snack bar was opened and there was no vegan menu. In the end we had to go to the spa without eating. Also, we paid an extra $45 to use the Kalla facility, but the electricity was out and the entrance system was not working, so the door was opened and anyone could enter the facility. We couldn't understand the absence of these systems and manuals. We made a complaint, but no action was taken. It was my first time experience in Nordik spa and I could not enjoy it at all.

A. Me.

This spa is heaven on earth. My husband and I had the best experience. Nothing compares. We tried out everything - all the saunas, banya, steam rooms, relaxation areas, the Kalla (salt pool), hot pools and hot tubs, warm pools, cold plunges, and so much more! We really enjoyed the infinity pool as we soaked up the sun and enjoyed the panoramic views. Our massages were great. The only negative is that the food and drinks are very expensive. But, we planned ahead.

J. Watson

Have been many times in the past but the experience has changed. There are no longer any true quiet areas as the zones are not enforced. Reduced staff (likely Covid related, likely an issue that leads to many of these issues) Everyone in the same robes (that aren't numbered) means my robe went missing twice, adding to the chaos. No capacity limits in the saunas was shocking, especially during one of the infusions where I saw everyone was shoulder-to-shoulder and there wasn't an empty seat available (bizarre). Lacking hand sanitizer where you'd expect it (near water fountains that are not touchless, near the salt scrub etc). Some of the sanitizing stations that were available were empty. Food was incredible. Our server was fantastic. All the staff we interacted with was friendly and accommodating; they're doing a great job. A lot of the issues are likely related to corporate decisions.

Dominique Clairoux

A review based on an experience that occurred over a year ago: An absolutely beautiful and relaxing place. We had such an incredible weekend here! Multiple saunas and hot tubs in one location - it was never too crowded! I highly recommend Nordik Spa to anyone!

J Mo

Second time here. Beautiful atmosphere and nice layout. Clean environment and nice change rooms. They not offer the bathrobes without additional fee which is nice. The reason I took two stars away is : 1- The hottubs aren't as clean as I would expect. A lot of stuff floating around including men's body hair. 2- The infinity pool is loud and full of drunk people, or couples showing a lot of PDA. 3- There was a staff party there and some of the saunas we're over capacity and full of rowdy people. Otherwise LOVE the heated hammocks, love the calming music and atmosphere. Restaurant has good food choices.

Lisa Adams

This place alone is worth the visit to Ottawa, the salt water floating pool is a gem and one of a kind, this is the closest thing you get to Dead Sea! The rest of the Spa is also worth the price! Great team and incredibly clean! Will definitely come back for the Banya reopening.

Kaviena

Went for a day visit on a Tuesday afternoon in late August and the place was much busier than we were expecting. This is a beautiful spa just by Parc Gatineau in Chelsea, QC. The natural surrounds really add to the serenity of the place. Tried the different styles of saunas, dry and wet, there was a yurt and a dry sauna that resembled a barrel (the aromatic was our favorite and pretty popular). Infinity pool and nearby lounging areas had elevated views of the surrounding landscape and was a nice spot to grab a beverage. There is also a restaurant on site and little cantinas with good looking food, didn't try this time but probably will next visit. Went through three thermal cycles that afternoon and we were in a good space. Make sure to bring your own appropriate footwear, because they charge $12 for flip flops. Would go again and highly recommend!

KD N

Wish I had known they were going to allow soooo many people after 12 noon. The morning was nice and peaceful but the afternoon felt like a spring break beach party. Beautiful setting, but the "party crowd" going to tan and socialize was a turn off for me.

Dan Long

From the professionalism of the staff, to the cleanliness of the property, to the relaxing environment they have created, we could not have been happier with our experience and can't wait to go back!

Kyle Kiss

Perfect day to recharge while celebrating our 20th anniversary.

Michael J

So relaxing and beautiful. Scenery is spectacular. One of my favourite staycation spots in Ottawa. Only have done the thermal experience.

Sheril Shaw

Fantastic experience, going to certainly come back! Knocked down a star because you must bring your own sandals and I hadn't known. Feet were painfully freezing as I navigated around the spa areas. I love that they insist on people's silence.

Linda Legault

Amazing facility. Not have beem a few times in last 5yrs. Def needs more hooks for houscoats and towels. Its always a chore to try and force 40 houscoats on 10 hooks. Other then that. maybe some better signage on how to best use the facilities. For new people ( me included ) for sure check it out. Its an adventure and an experience to be had

Ken Kyaw

Solid spa experience. Facilities were great, the lunch was superb and the massage was fantastic. It is a great place to relax and socialize which unfortunately is a bit of a double edged sword. There was alot of foot traffic around the changing areas and also in certain pools near where alcohol is served. Whilst it is nice to see it so popular, I have to wonder whether the establishment can do more to manage the congestion. The lockers in particular are a bit of a free for all. It can get over crowded and people don't always respect the rules and wear masks whilst they are in there.

Shankari Sharma

Super relaxing, lots of options in terms of baths, saunas, hot/warm/cold pools, eucalyptus steam room, bars, food, and fireplaces. Space was immaculately maintained and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Covid protocols were carefully followed. Would highly recommend.

M F

This is the LOUDEST spa I've ever visited. My whole experience felt more like a beach club than a spa. Don't think I'll be coming back unless it's with a group of friends and we're looking for some kind of lounge party experience. People talk everywhere : in the saunas, pools, etc. There is basicly no distinction between the quiet zone, the wishepering zone and the lounge zone. Everywhere people talk in groups, laughs, and even talk to each other from across the site. This makes it very difficult to relax, meditate or even read a book. For me, part of what constitute my spa experience is the deep calm and the silence. One is lucky to find a spot that remains quiet for more than a few minutes. There is no PEACE to be found on the site. Most of the staff looked like bus boys constantly picking up empty glasses that are left everywhere - people drink absolutely anywhere whichs helps create an atmosphere of a bar rather than a spa - and instead, I think they should be walking around constantly reminding people to remain silent or to whisper (at least that's what I see the staff do in other spas I visited). The real problem is that there's 3 areas (silent, quiet, lounge) but there's no real sign/distinction as to when one crosses from one to the other. So I believe that ultimately the 'vibe' from the lounge area ends up spilling all over the site. Now another point : what's with the water temperature? Compared to other spas, they were very mild. The cold wasn't nearly cold enough and there was only one hot tub that was sufficiently hot (others we're all like a really warm swimming pool but nothing near a hot but). In other words, I was disapointed with the overall termal experience (which was pretty much what I paid for). Probably the heat from the summer messed with their cooling system but in any case there was no warning of this by signs or staff. When checking in they should say something like 'hey, by the way, none of our cold pools are working and we apologize for the inconvenience'. Heck, how are we supposed to do a thermal cycle properly if we can't cool off? Finaly, the site is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. The landscaping is well done and the wood construction are charming. I also liked the flowers and the various decorations. The food was good and there's plenty of options. Same for drinks. The staff was also polite, nice and hard working.

Kyla Lutz

Beautiful! I had a blast. It was raining on the day we went but that only enhanced the experience. Cocktail was great, and I really enjoyed the cold waterfall after the hot eucalyptus sauna. I'll definitely go again.

Tammy Ridge

No one can compete with Nordik for quality of relaxation and providing a day's escape. Could improve on the restaurant offerings within the main restaurant, but the other sections (such as the Beer Garden) were amazing.

Arjana Siva

What a tranquil experience. Plenty of space to explore without stepping on others toes. Highly recommended. Plan 5-7 hours if you plan on getting a massage as well.

Z H.

This place no longer has the spark it once did. It used to be a relaxing, reasonably priced experience. Now it’s more like a resort than a spa. Selling alcoholic drinks seems to have increased the volume and party atmosphere and enforcement of quiet areas is down.

Lyudmyla Pashkivska

This spa is a 5 star plus. The food, amenities, and staff are great. Really appreciated that they had security around to monitor phone use. This made us feel even more relaxed and comfortable. Our massage therapist was accommodating and extremely nice. I personally suffer from previous car injuries and she was very careful with me. The place is kept very clean and the overall environment is very relaxing.

Tim Pollock

Spent the most relaxing day in nature, starting with a massage in a cabana, and 3 hours of the most amazing thermal bath experiences. It was well worth the drive and will become a regular place to rest and relax!

Dan Westra

Went to the Nordik-Spa as my first outing since Covid and it was quite impressive. I noticed that they had a number of staff cleaning common areas regularly, they had clear signs of maximum occupancy for each pool and overall due to the low number of people there, it was a pleasant experience. There are many pools and saunas here and you can spend easily 6 hours when you go. They gave each person a robe and 3 towels with electronic access to a locker. I hadn’t been here before Covid so I’m not sure if these measures were already in place but I definitely felt safe using their spa and will go back in the near future.

Unlimitedsonic

Relaxing, joyful, serene and exhilarating. All in one place! It was not crowded and knowing that everyone had been fully vaccinated, it provided an extra sense of health safety and confidence. I am already figuring out when I can go again!

Amelia Hayman

A rejuvenating experience which not only relaxes and calms the mind and body, but it is also a fiest to eyes with stunning views to soak in. The service and staff are on point. Hygeine is very well maintained. Endless options from sauna to steam rooms to temparate pools. Clean changing rooms and showers. Well priced cocktails and a good range of food and snack options. The best part of it is that you are allowed to walk in with the cocktails in the pool. The pavilion with the hammocks were ideal for a long day rest. Muskoka chairs all around the property. All in all a spectacular day's affair.

Rachel S.

Spent a night at the lodge accommodation. The lodge accommodations were very nice and came well equipped. The air-conditioning was not working well and the rooms were hot because of this. The spa was great. Lots of things to do and very beautiful.

Janet St. J

The highlight of my trip to Ottawa! Sorry, neither the museums, nor the microbreweries would give me a solid reason to come here again. Well, the people of Ottawa , yes, I love you ! But the Nordik spa is the only other reason I would ever come back here! So let's do the math . We go to island for a weekend and visit the blue lagoon. This is 5 hours flight from NYC . Now, if I fly to Ottawa , it is only am hour away and the Nordik spa offers similar if not greater spa experience. Maybe, I should not compare those two , they are both great still, I enjoyed the Nordik! Thermal baths , saunas , massages and relaxing experience . Try the hot stones and the floating pool . I shall come back soon ! Oh, the staff is great , very helpful. PS: Uber does not operate on the territory of Quebec so you would need a taxi to take you back to Ottawa .

Thanu Stanley

Everyone is so friendly, definitely worth every penny! Can’t wait to go back! If you go here you need to try the towel ceremony and meditation in the sauna, really puts you in a relaxing state, which helps you enjoy the rest of ur time there. So many things to do ! You need to visit!!

nicole galloway

The ultimate in relaxation! I went to celebrate a 40th Birthday. We arrived at 11am and didn’t leave until 11:45pm! We had amazing massages. There are several saunas, steam rooms, heat/cold pools. Hammocks galore. Several dining spots. Whisper sections - silent sections. Nature soothing sounds play all throughout indoors & Out! Walk around in plush robes! Pictures and descriptions are not sufficient. Get your significant other or best friends and Go.

Hira A

Spa was amazing, loved the pools, saunas, and the bar area. Everything was so clean felt like we were on a mini resort. Special shout out to the RMT I had Lorenzo was absolutely amazing, the best massage I have ever had hands down! Only negative thing I would say is the hold time on the phones when you actually need to speak to an agent. Other then that I cant wait to come back!!!

HOOMAN SAGHAFI

Amazing Spa! Impeccable service, fabulous scented saunas infused with essential oils, delicious healthy food, relaxing atmosphere, excellent massages with attention to extra details! Well worth the drive and the price!

Alexandra Mackenzie

One of my most unforgettable staycations! They have thought of everything for you to be able to lay back and relax, not one detail missed! BOOK THE KALLA TREATMENT...It was a surreal experience, a feeling we have never felt before. Staff are so accommodating and friendly. See you soon!

Julie Whittaker

Excelent sauna sesions, good variety of pools (hot, cold, warm), jacuzzi, relaxation areas. You will have the most relaxing day if you go for at least 4/5 hours. For massages have to book around 2 weeks before. Food overpriced

Jacky Samaniego

My husband and I have rented one of the chalet's every year and this year the policies have changed SO much we cancelled. Firstly there was no communication of the changes and it would include added costs of $200 per person. There are no in and out privileges with rental of a chalet anymore, you must pay for the spa access everyday that you are renting the chalet and the cost has gone up to $95 a day. I had sent 5 emails with no response and spent 3 hours collectively trying to get through to speak to someone. I was hung up on 3 different times. I can understand changing the rates, and would have been more than happy to pay the $95 access, but not daily while renting the chalet (a cost that is close to $2000). A 3 day stay would end up costing us almost $2600!!! WIth the changes and lack of communication (and being hung up on) we decided our money is better somewhere else. We most likely wont be back, despite enjoying ourselves there every year.

Stefan Salo

I love all the Scandinavian spas, but this location is particularly nice! The massage in nature is super relaxing, and for just $10 more, it's definitely worth the add on. The Kalla bath was also great, but I would only recommend getting it if you're going early in the morning, as it was difficult to get in after about 3pm. Will definitely return!

Silverio Perez

Unplug and go! Great place to meet new people the old fashioned way since there’s no cell phones allowed on property. No need to dress up since everyone is mandated to ware same outfit. Go easy on the liquid courage they offer. Splurge on the food!! You foodies. It’s open til midnight. Make the best of it. If it starts snowing your in for a treatment. Bring closed sandals footwear. We enjoy it. I’ve never seen snow fall being raised in San Diego most of my life.

Fitzzz

Always have a great time here. Hot amd cold baths/saunas are always a good thing, but there's something special about everything being outside with beautiful scenery all around!

James JEON

By far the best spa I've ever been to. Very clean, plenty of room and seating to accommodate many guests at a time, and the food was excellent! Highly recommended!

Twin T

Great experience. Visited for a second time and it's improved. The food is excellent and the staff are all over the place. There is a pool in the far back that you don't have to be silent at. The majority of the place you can't talk. The staff are all around with signs saying silence. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. We had the beef brisket, yum. Please like this review and some pictures. Thanks.

Quinton Granville

Nordik spa is a fabulous place to relax, rejuvenate, spend quality time with friends/family, have a girlfriends day, etc. Or spend a "me" day. Bring a book ! The hot tubs (for silent, whispering and social guests), infinity pool, floating kalle treatment pool, exfoliation area, sauna, massage therapy, restaurants with delicious food, service excellence by staff !!! The list goes on. Next date already booked.

Cat L.

I visited in November, on a weekday, after Nordik was highly recommended by friends as THE place to go to for a relaxing getaway, away from the city. I am disappointed that my experience was the complete opposite. The place was clearly overbooked, and over capacity. Used bathrobes and towels double-stacked onto each hook were a clear example of that. There were no Whisper Zones. (When this was mentioned to the staff, they said Whisper Zones were removed because of the pandemic (?!)) I understand businesses trying to make up for the time lost due to the lockdown. I didn't realize Nordik was pivoting away from their renowned relaxing experience and accommodating a Pool Bar experience instead. Had I known this, I definitely would have gone elsewhere.

N B

An overall good and clean spa retreat but has so much more potential. We came here today on the 18th of Feb 2020. It was very busy for a Tuesday. We waited for 20 mins to get our bracelet. Wishing this place would managed and limit the amount of people coming here. When it's so busy like today it doesn't really feel like a retreat but more like a tourist/amusement attraction. I would be worried how packed it would be on a weekend. Both restaurants were full and the wait was long. The cafe was the only place that we could sit but the service was also slow. The services are lovely and I really enjoyed the sauna and exfoliating shower. However both my sister's and my masseuse were sick. Really nice ladies but probably not great to be working when you're sick. It's not nice to hear coughing and throat clearing during a relaxing massage which you pay $60 for. Also would suggest that they provide the bath robe as part of the fee rather than people bringing their own robes. The "luxury" image is kind of lost when you see people walking around in unicorn colour robes.

Michelle Marchand

Fantastic couples spa day experience for my girlfriend's birthday. Highly recommend couples massage outside and Khalla treatment. Come for the late afternoon then stay until late to enjoy the romantic ambiance at night and less crowds on weekends.

Cecile Lefebvre

I loved this place!!! I highly recommend it, especially during the weekday - I hear weekends this is packed. Food is ok, nothing super special but it's tasty! I would not recommend the sangria, it's mostly orange juice and you pay $14 - not worth it.

Carole Wang

Came here for a bachelorette and had an amazing time. kalla floating pool was the best but all the amenities were soooo relaxing. The place smells like Smokey cedar, has this great spa music playing everywhere, and fantastic food in the restaurant. I highly recommend visiting this spa, it is worth every penny.

M George

It used to be my favourite place of all. But with the covid situation my last visit was very very disappointing there was so many people I couldn't even enjoy the infinity pool. And I made a special trip to go there from Winnipeg.
