Made a simple order that was supposed to come in in two weeks and after patiently waiting a month and a half for a phone call I called in to find out that my order was going to take another month and a half. BTW it was my first time in this store, they have so much more than pools and hot tubs. Pool tables, jet hockey tables, etc to keep you entertained this winter.

As a very frustrated customer I decided to write a review. I had an inground pool installed 3 summers ago and every time I have had the pool opened through the Pool Shoppe, I have had issues. The first year my liner was bleached and nothing has been done to rectify this situation. Last summer I booked the opening for May 1st and they sent unqualified students who didn't complete the job properly. It took until the end of May to correct issues. This year when I had it opened the heater wasn't working because they shut off the pilot light in the fall and have now informed me that they do not put it back on. As a pensioner and a widow to boot, it cost me $400 to open the pool and now I have been told to call a Gas technician to put the pilot like back on. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Do NOT go here, they're a rip off. Asked to open a pool because we just got a new house. They will fully charge you for a pool opening even if they don't open your pool. We had defects in our liner...they took off the tarp and drained some water.... THAT'S IT. And it was a $300 charge. Stay away from them.

I went in for an above ground pool filter and all the parts that go along with it. The filter was preassembled and is majorly leaking from different parts. I was also given a handful of random other pieces and when I called to ask how to use them they said they didn’t have my purchase on file (I gave them all my contact info when I paid) and that I must have bought it somewhere else. Then when I sent them photos and a video of the problems they never replied.

I went there shopping for a shuffleboard table for my FIL, and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Will be back soon for a games table and Crokinole board! Have been buying pool supplies here for more than a decade. Have grown tired of the invasion of privacy for every purchase. Each time I buy chlorine I am asked for my name and address. I tell the cashier I am paying by credit card. It takes more than 30 seconds to find my account, then I am asked for my first name, another 30 seconds, before they can find my account, more time at the till. Then I am asked how I am paying, although I indicated at the outset, another 30 seconds, or more. Every week, the same delays. This week was different, however. After paying $10 a jug, I inspected the jugs when I got home. One was half full, the other was 3/4 full. I think the Pool Shop has lost sight of customer service and providing products as advertised. The 'big business', no longer cares about its customers. Too much emphasis on profit means they have lost a loyal customer. I am so tired of doing business here and have moved elsewhere.

I’ve been with the pool shoppe for about seven months and I got a pool heater from Hayward Pool Products, it’s been less than a year and they backed out of a 3-year warranty contract, this has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had and I do not recommend going to them for any of your pool needs. The way they handled this situation was very unprofessional. It’s clear that they do not value customer satisfaction.

Well, my wife and I bought an expensive hot tub and enclosure (covana) from this company. Within less than a year, the covana interior lights stopped working. After troubleshooting with them and the manufacturer, we were told that it would cost us $ 800.00 to get a small solar panel replaced, and that it wasn't under warranty! Considering we paid well over 20k for the entire setup, one would have thought that the repair would have been extended at no charge. Really, this was the price of a reasonably nice car, and cars come with warranties after one year! I would avoid dealing with these people at all costs, if our experience is any indication. Had a fantastic experience today with the parts manager. My pump was blowing the breaker no matter which outlet I plugged it into, completely thought I was going to have to buy a new pump. Spoke with the parts manager about replacing the pump $515. He suggested a couple possibilities of a less costly solution,. Turned out the fix was 15 bucks. Its service/advise like that that someone like me really appreciates and will continue to spend money at The Pool Shop. Im in sales as well and try to give customers sound advice to the best of my ability. Much appreciated guys.

I opened my pool in May 2020 with a huge gash in my pool liner. I quickly called around. It became apparent that The Pool Shoppe wanted my business. Their prices were competitive with the competition but more importantly, they quickly contact me and had a quote/timeline to have the pool drained, old liner removed, measured, and replaced. They have an excellent selection of pool liners. Liz Currie, in service, communicates very easily and clearly. I've since purchased a safety cover from them.

I'm am a new spa user and don't know much about them yet so I went to this store to buy all my supplies and get advice on the spa. I have an older spa and the filter is hard to find for it so I was sold a filter that i was told would work. I had it in my spa for a week and a half and went out one morning and the filter was floating around as the threads broke on it and it was full of scum. I had taken 3 water samples in during the previous week and a half and was told the chemical were a bit low and hardness was high as I'm on well water and was told exactly what to put in which i did during the week. They are now refusing to refund me the filter and are trying to sell me one that is $121 for one filter where I can get it on Amazon for $60. So much for trying to support a local shop, they won't be getting any more of my business I'll just go up the road to pioneer pools and spas

The Pool Shoppe is very knowledgeable when selling parts or pools. The product and price are good. The service however is very, very poor. Trying to get them to come to open or close a pool is like pulling teeth. They will never commit to a date because they will constantly prioritize higher paying jobs. They will randomly show up without notice and send you a bill without notice or even doing the work that was requested. To sum it up, use them for purchases and installs but don't rely on them to actually service their products and installs once they have your money, go somewhere else.

Very knowledgeable, work done quickly and the end result is just what what I wanted. They cleaned up after the install and clearly explained how to properly maintain the pool. . with lots of tips to save time, money and avoid any issues down the road. Nicole in the service department was amazing, keeping in touch with me on a daily basis through the whole process. . no surprises! When we arrived, there was plenty of parking. We were greeted at the door and they helped us find the right dart board. Looking around they have plenty of stock in house for darts, billiards and other supplies. I ever seen a customer testing their dart throw for the proper weights.

I got The Pool Shoppe to come help with the opening of my pool, I must say, the service was excellent. Lisa was amazing and very helpful over the phone with the booking... I just sent her some pictures and booked immediately. Elly, the maintenance person was pleasant. She took the time to show me the process, she was patient and super informative. I used budds last year for my maintenance, I wasn't happy with the services and professionalism. I will only be using The Pool Shoppe moving forward for my pool maintenance needs. Cheers!

Bought a 2004 Jacuzzi hot tub 4 month ago for Father's Day for hubby but it has been leaking from day one. It was not cheap $6000. Yes it was refurbished but they told me it had all new parts and a life of 30-35 years. I was concerned because of the age but the sale person told me Jacuzzi backs their hot tubs 100%. That was a lie they have been in twice and it is still leaking and now they want another $159 to come and look at it and last time it was $59. NOT HAPPY with their service so far. They better come fix it for free or I will be talking to a lawyer and the press. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN JACUZZI.

I recently bought a pool heater and my experience here was not great. The price was not great...however, this place was the only one in the city that had stock of this heater. Unfortunately, I needed to pick it up on that particular day due to the closure of retail stores because of Covid-19. Also, they wouldn't price match another heater. When I pulled up for curbside pickup, the wait was long and the service was lousy. I wanted to help lift the heater into my truck as it was very light...but, I was stopped in order to wait for another employee to assist. This also took more time for the process. Discounter's Pool and Spa are much friendlier, helpful and efficient. Also, their prices are better. I will not shop at this place again.

Not Happy with the over all experience!! Been waiting since April for a new pool liner and keep being put off with different dates! My advice is if you want something done book a year in advance! Maybe new installations take higher priority!!!!
