It's one thing to post a review because you had a great or not so great experience somewhere but when you write a review as a personal attack, that's just wrong. To call Inga classless, disgusting, greedy, a liar and uneducated is a personal attack, if she was uneducated i'm sure she wouldn't be a successful business owner. Inga is a great person and a smart business woman. I have been tanning at her salon for almost 7 years now and it's by far the best salon I have ever been too and wouldn't think twice of tanning anywhere else. Check it out for yourself, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I've never had good service with Sol'exotica or a decent tan. I totally agree about the bulbs not being changed. I can't speak for this location but I just moved and thought I would try them again....not after reading these comments

Staff have always been helpful and friendly, held recommend a good package and lotion for me, explained the differences between the beds and which ones would be better for me. They also play some cool, tropical music, which sets the tone and makes you feel like you're tanning at a beach resort!

Absolutely one of the best tanning salons Hamilton has! The staff at Sol'exotica were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The store and all of the equipment was clean and well maintained. Very affordable! Highly recommended!

This salon is my favorite in Hamilton! They have the best staff, Christie and Ashley are the friendliest girls ever. I never feel pressured to purchase anything unless it benefits me. I have been to many salons and never had such a wonderful experience. It is hard to read previous reviews because I don't understand how they could have such a negative experience because it must not have been with the girls that work there now because they are lovely to deal with!

Great experience at this salon. Staff were very friendly and knowledgable while not being condescending to my lack of knowledge. They took the time to explain the different lotions including the ingredients and how each lotion differs from each other. They took the time to explain and show me the different beds before I made a decision on which one best suited my needs. Recently signed up for a membership and have enjoyed going in every time. Highly recommend this location!

This salon is great! It's extremely clean and the staff are friendly. I trust that when I get in the bed, I'm not going to get a disease because I haven't so much found a dust bunny in the corner yet. I've overheard the staff discuss skin typing and exposure schedules to other clients so they seem to be very knowledgeable within their position. I decided to leave this review because I find it amusing that the review below me stated they were hired at this location and is writing a poor review only because they are disgruntled about no longer being employed there. It's really not deserved to attack a business because you're upset with a failed employment. This location has a number of levels to choose from and a great selection of lotions. Some are really expensive; others are not. I've done some price checking of my own and they're competitive as most franchises are. If you don't want to pay a certain price, say so. That's our choice as a consumer. Sales are sales and my budget is my budget.

This Sol Exotica location is clean, beds always do the job and staff are nice and knowledgeable . Location is very good with plenty of parking and in 10 years being a client, I have never had an issue. Overall a 10 in my books.

Had a great experience with this company. The girl I dealt with was beyond nice and very knowledgeable about tanning as well as creams. I believe her name was Ashley she went above and beyond to explain everything from tanning beds to creams that would best suit my needs. I am very new to tanning and have always been scared to tan. With the information I was given I feel incredibly relieved and I am so happy with my tan. I will not be tanning anywhere else I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to get a great tan! 10 out of 10!

So I am going to start off by saying I have read the reviews for this location (919 Upper Paradise) and I can't believe what I just read. If people are going to write a review they need to make sure it is for the correct location. First of all I just want to clear up any bad reviews about a rude manager, in fact she is very nice to both her customers as well as her staff and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, she takes the time to explain the products so that we the consumer know what we are applying to our body, it shows that she cares about you getting the protection you need. There were a couple of negative reviews about lotions being expensive and they find the staff is being to pushy to sell the most expensive products, well FYI people when you work in retail you should always push to sell the best products/merchandise no matter what your selling and if you don't then you won't be very successful at that type of job. I'm sure you have heard the saying "you get what you pay for" well just think about that when you pay a cheap price for a lotion and a lower level bed it will take a longer period of time to show results as it would if you pay for a better quality lotion and a higher level bed the results apear quickly. I have been tanning at the 919 Upper Paradise location for over 10 years now and I have never had a bad experience. When I walk in the doors I always feel like I'm on vacation, the music is perfect and the staff is amazing (especially Inga) I am always greeted with a smile. I work right next to a tanning salon, our doors are literally side by side and it would be very convenient to just walk out 1 door and open the other but the service and atmosphere is just not comparable and that's why I will continue to walk across the street for my tans. I hope this review gets you to make it in for a great tan and experience, it always does for me.

You can get AG Hot! @ goodlife fitness for $49???????? Also 14 karat gold rush (the best DS Lotion for plateau phases) is like $60 at goodlife, That’s a 400 ml bottle for 60$!! When this store carried it she was trying to sell it for $170. Don’t get scammed! Buy your lotion somewhere else ;) ????????????

After speaking to the owner, inga, i cant explain how CLASSLESS this place is. she makes up lies about other salons in order to make a sale. I heard a current customer complaining about a rash she had from the beds and inga had the nerve to blame ANY other tanning salon the client had been to. I would never spend my money here. Shes greedy, she lies and she will do anything to make a sale. Have some class, if you cant compete in the business honestly, maybe its not for you. Classless, disgusting and overall uneducated.

I've been tanning for 6 years now... Only 3 months ago I walked into a Sol Exotica and had the best experience I've ever had at a tanning salon! The salon itself was extremely clean and I received the best customer service I had ever seen. I was given so much information about tanning and the girl took her time to find a lotion and a package that best fit me and the results I wanted. She spent her time explaining the difference between their lotions and all their beds! The girl working made me feel very special, which was nice. They actually care about their customers, So I wont be going anywhere else anytime soon! Would highly recommend this salon to anyone that is looking for a salon!

I have been a client of Sol'exotica for the last 12 years and wether it's, knowledge about the equipment or product, the atmosphere, customer service, I feel Sol'exotica should be recognized for the 5 STARS service that they provide. I tan in a Level 6 bed and am absolutely in love with the bed. I am always satisfied with the results and am really loving their lotions. I also use the tan extenders (Complexion Moisturizer) and love how its not greasy.

Well where do I begin.... The staff is rude and has no concept of UV or sunless tanning, tanning beds are always dirty with fingerprints on the tops of the canopies. The beds themselves have not be re-lamped in FOREVER, they all have black rings around the bulbs, and most of the other beds have bulbs burnt out all over the place. The High-Pressure unit is nice, however it is not properly ventilated and over-heats on a regular basis, with temps reaching higher than 30 degrees inside the room. The only reason that I transferred to this location was due to the fact that my location had went out of business, and the customer service was horrible there as well.

LOVED my experience at this salon. This is the only salon I went to where the staff took the time to stop what they were doing and actually explain to me how the different beds work and what each of the tanning rays do to my skin. I was actually educated on why it is so important to use lotion while tanning (my old salon told me it was fine not to). She was able to answer all of my questions. We even chatted for a while after. Her customer service was amazing. I tanned in the Level 6 bed at the front of the salon (the best bed they have) and it was great! The bed was very clean, with a towel and "this bed has been sanitized" sign placed nicely on top of the bed. When I came out of the bed, the girl at the counter asked me how my tan was, and if I had any questions. She was upbeat, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely happy to be chatting with me. I was extremely happy with my visit, and will be going back to purchase a membership. I'm shocked to read the previous reviews, as my experience was completely different - this is by far the best salon I've ever been to, and I will never go anywhere else.

Awesome tanning salon. Inga always makes sure I leave happy and satisfied, no matter what. I love coming here just because of the service I get when I walk through the door. She remembers your name and she doesn't mind to have a quick conversation with you not just shove you into a room. Thanks Inga for a hot beachlike getaway ????!!

agree with all the other reviews. all she cares about is getting your money, infact i got hired there and i have never seen a person push higher priced packages and lotions on to people before. i felt uncomfortable for the customers. she claims she is crazy about cleanliness and yet when you walk in nothing seems clean at all. she literally does not care what so ever about her customers or her staff (she gave examples of why she let lots of her staff go) which seemed to be about 10 in the past 2 years. she cant keep staff and she cant keep customers . the reason they push lotions and higher priced beds is because if they dont do a certain amount of $ in sales she fires you. she is very hard to get along with. there are so many tanning salons that you cannot afford to treat your customers like that. i am so glad i didnt take the job (after my unpaid training of course). i cant see her being very successful in either of her locations if she keeps this up...

i tried this salon i didnt like it. they had nice looking beds but i never got good colour, either they dont change the bulbs enough or they just have too much uva for my skin. i need more uvb because im very fair and uva only makes me freckle. i aksed which beds had more uvb because i tan better with it and the manager laughed at me and tried to tell me i was misinformed and uvb doesnt tan you its only a burning ray blah blah blah. which is funny because when i switched to a salon with more uvb in the bulbs i have a really dark tan now, and no burn. w/e. they also just try to sell you the most expensive lotion and whatever package is most expensive its sad how deseprate they are to sell. the girls who work there also dont know much about tanning they just stand around and are rude especially the manager. i felt like they only wanted my money and personally i will spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
