staff was very friendly, went to have my hair colored, the consultation was very fast, as was the coloring process, i paid almost 100$ just for color, i had no clue blow dry wasn't included in the price, but that did not bother me as getting my hair colored is damaging enough, what i did not like is the woman who colored my hair, after it was washed out she brushed my hair out! i wanted to tell her to stop, but i was to shy, they should KNOW to NEVER brush wet hair, and she yanked on it while doing so! it was awful, i should have said something... im never going back there.

This was by far the BEST salon and spa experience that I have ever had. I live three hours away and was visiting family in the area, and my uncle treated me to a massage and hair (colour and style) appointment. It was all amazing. I plan on going back as often as possible. All my friends raved about my "Hollywood Haircut" it's the best cut I've ever had. I would recommend it to anyone. Highly.

The salon is beautiful and they maintain a high level of infection control procedures. I did feel that for the price I did not get the wow factor that I do at many much less expensive salons. Also I had a gift card which they said had been used. It has been in my dresser since I received it. They were going to look into it for me. That was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing. I went there because I had a gift certificate so having to come up with $120.00 when I felt the $100 gift card should have sufficed was an unpleasant surprize.

The entire salon is gorgeous. It's so clean and organized and the staff is fantastic. I go to Gina for my blowouts and styles and she always does an amazing job. She listens and actually understands what you're saying and works with you to make sure you leave looking just the way you wanted to.

I come here for the awesome ‘salon’ atmosphere and for Leanne, the stylist. She’s friendly and fun to chat with and listens to what I’m looking for every time. I feel super comfortable with her behind the scissors. Docked a star because good-god do the receptionists (doesn’t matter which one, they all appear to be the same) leave something to be desired! Every time I book an appointment they’re very unprofessional and blasé about the whole thing. When I’m there I get a half greeting, and have yet to see one of them smile. They sometimes point me in the direction of the coats, and give me no information in regards to how on time my stylist is. I’m really not Sure they even want to be there. It’d be nice to have the ‘face’ of the salon match the rest of the experience.

I got a full colour and blowout done yesterday and I was emotional once I got in my car over how great it looked. Three different ladies worked on my hair (Nat did the colour, Emily did the blowout and I can’t remember who did the shampoo but she was lovely as well). This place is also very clean and all the staff are friendly. I definitely found my new spot, thank you ladies!

The ladies were very professional, skilled and exceptionallycustomer service oriented....I can't say enough. So VERY disappointed with my visit. Will never return. I had my hair done here for a wedding a while ago and it was the most beautiful up do I'd ever seen. They did SUCH an amazing job that when I had another wedding to attend this year, there was no doubt where I'd go. It was garbage. The stylist arrived late and appeared rushed and flustered. Every time I asked her to change something to look more like the picture I'd brought she look exasperated and once we both gave up/in she was out if the parking lot before me. I paid close to $100 for 20 min of her time and an up do I had to fix because it was NOTHING like the picture. Customer service FAILURE.

I had an amazing experience at Pure NV Salon! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the people are extremely professional. The girls listened to what I wanted and did exactly what I asked of them in terms of how they cut and styled my hair. I had quite a drastic hair change and I honestly couldn't of been more pleased with the end result. Save your money and go elsewhere. I got a haircut and I thought it was nice until I straightened my hair or had it in a pony tail. I had a long strand of hair that god knows where it was coming from but looked like a rat tail at the bottom of my pony tail. I got my hair dyed at another salon and the girl refused to dye my hair until she fixed my hair cut. She said it was extremely uneven and just crazy looking. She showed me strands in the back that were choppy and extremely uneven. If you’re looking for a good salon in Hamilton, go to Strut. Best place.

A hairdresser didn't asked anything about my hair and didn't tell me what she was doing to it. I had air touch on my hair and she bleached it without even telling me, so everything got ruined in the end. I absolutely hate my hair now every day, and I payed for that $210. Plus, the hairdresser was super rough with my hair, coloured my roots black without even telling me she's gonna do it. I won't do my hair there ever again.

Absolutely AMAZING experience First of all, the support staff and how well the location is maintained is FANTASTIC. It is ALWAYS incredibly easy to set up a convenient appointment - QUICKLY! As far as service, as a woman with curly hair who occasionally abuses it - I am often met with disbelief and ignorance when talking about my hair and what it is actually like outside of my abuse. Everyone thinks they understand curly hair, and unfortunately in most cases they do not. For the first time in a great many years, I experienced a hair professional who actually listened. She formed no judgements, asserted her professional opinion in a way that was so completely easy to digest and actually HEAR. I left the salon with probably the best hair cut and style I have had in twenty plus years. I highly recommend Emily for her hair services, as long as you all don't cut into my appointment time!

First time have my hair cut at this company, and will continue to return in the future. When you walk in, you are immediately treated and offered espresso, water and a snack. My time booked was for 30 minutes, however was having such a great conversation with the stylist that it turned into an hour appointment. Would recommend this salon to either men or women.

Where do I begin? If I remember correctly, Natalie is the one who did my mani/pedi as well as my facial. She made my first experience amazing. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this place for mother’s day gift, a treat yo self gift or for someone else. My bestie and I came here for her birthday and we had the most amazing time. Ladies, if you can afford it (and by the way this is one of the cheaper spas in Hamilton) you need to come here at least once a year if not more and its so luxurious and the ambiance is fantastic. All the staff if friendly, welcoming and professional. My massage was also amazing, I unfortunately forget the RMT’s name but she was great. Highly, highly recommend.

awful service from the minute i walked into the salon, i was given no update on when my stylist would be with me and proceeded to receive a colourist that i did not book. The image I showed her was of a soft caramel toned balayage and I received a chunky grey/ashy toned balayaged that looked more like streaks all over the top of my hair , after telling her that i did not want colour up on my roots. She claimed she used a ashy toner to make my blonde last longer but as a natural brunette i asked for something subtle and natural. I was also passed off to another stylist to cut my bangs which i could have done by myself with the mediocre job she did and saved an extra $35. I payed $220 for my bangs to be trimmed and for chunks of bleach to be places on my roots. Im not returning for any other services.

The ladies listen to what I have in mind, and always make sure I am happy with their work each step of the way. Wasted $150 to get hair that looked exactly the same going out as it did coming in. I really wanted to change up my hair, try a new colour/cut. Met ahead of time with the colourist to discuss ideas. She gave me excellent suggestions and was very honest about the challenges my hair presented so I was excited to work with her. Day of the appointment I feel good. We put in some highlights which turn out orange. Rather then giving me some colour suggestions she says she putting on brown toner, not thrilled but she's the professional. Well now you can't see the highlights at all. There is no change to my hair. The cut that followed was rushed, the stylist was not interested in making any suggestions or drying my hair enough to see the highlights. She could clearly see how disappointed I was with the colour because she brought the colorist back over to talk to me. It was so mediocre I wanted to cry. Didn't want to have a meltdown so I paid and went to cry in my car. Contacted the salon when I got home. They offered me a free haircut and to come back to have more highlights put in (another day though). No refunds. It hurts me to lose that money since I'll have to pay someone else to do something with my hair, but it feels like it would be a waste of time to go back. Don't bother because they really aren't listening to you.

So I booked a make up appointment here for a wedding I was attending, and I could of done a better job myself. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left was only 18 MINUTES. She put foundation on me that was too dark, without any moisturiser or primer. She literally put no effort into it at all. It was obvious that she was rushing. Everything else was just sloppy and did not look good at all. And to top it of I paid $62 and I ended up scrubbing it off and doing my own make up when I got home. I wish I said something then and there but I was just in utter shock. I get my make up professionally done pretty regularly and this was by far my worst experience ever.

I loved both of my experiences at Pure NV this year. In the winter I wanted to colour my hair but I don't like having a lot of upkeep. Katrina suggested that I go for a natural looking balayage. My hair looked amazing, almost like it was never dyed at all. It's been over 6 months and my hair still looks fantastic. Most recently I needed to have an updo done for a wedding I was in a few weeks ago. I decided to go back to Pure NV and was not disappointed. I brought a few different photos of what I liked and Erin combined them for what was best for my hair. I got so many compliments that night at the wedding and my hair stayed put for over 15 hours (and I danced a lot). I'll definitely be going back.

II went to get a balayage colour (brown with blond) on July 16th with Emily. I had shown her a couple of pictures and she told me that the colour was possible, but that she wouldn't put too much blond as to not damage my hair (my hair was brown to begin with). When she was finished I didn't see any highlights except a few caramel coloured ones which is not what I wanted. She asked how I liked it and I pointed that out. She told me that it only looks darker because the lights were not working at the station she dyed my hair and when I got home I would see it. I did not and messaged the salon on Instagram, and was given the owner's email, who I contacted. She told me that because I was unhappy with the colour that they would do a colour correction free of charge within 2 weeks. When I called the salon they could not book me in on time because they had many clients booked and they could only book me the following week (and I had paid for my hotels to go up north). The receptionist spoke to the manager who agreed to book me the following week free of charge. The new stylist looked at what I wanted and said she can't promise anything with the colour. Then when she was colouring my hair it was very rushed and rough. When she washed my hair again I felt she was rough, washed my hair with cold water (never asking how the temp felt which I think most stylists do), and I was sent to someone else to dry my hair. That girl was very pleasant (only one at the salon that I encountered that was pleasant. I went back to the receptionist to leave a tip and she told me I owed $130. I asked why as there was a discussion with the owner that I would not pay as they couldn't find a time to book me (she had said because I was past the 2 weeks). Then she looked at the note made and said oh ok I see but said usually this is what happens. Overall even the colour that I ended up with did not look like I had wanted, with very little highlights. I was just very disappointed in my experience when I had a much more experience years ago when I came to the salon (they were skilled then, never disappointed but stopped going because the price kept going up). Overall I would not go back to the salon again. A truly negative experience except for the girl who dried my hair. Clearly the colourists that I had truly do not care about making their clients happy, and the second one especially with her rough handling of my head and neck (I have herniated discs in my neck) was truly terrible. Definitely not the $280!!

I had the exact experience someone else Did on here. I went for a few streaks and a hair cut. After three hrs I left with my hair wet no hair cut and some washed out purply blue green streaks. I was in tears but just wanted out. I have had my hair done there before and didn't want to make a scene as I hadn't had a problem before. The secretary which I had to call to go look for my hair dresser who kept disappearing had the audacity to charge me full price for the streaks at 100$ and to ask for a gratuity. I should've just walked out but I fully expected when I spoke to management that I would be treated well and everything would be fixed. I left a message and did not hear back so I called back and while trying to explain my situation I was interrupted a few times and the manager seemed to have an attitude (like I have better things to do than listen to you) the whole time. I expressed how ridiculously long it took to do the wrong colour streaks and not even get a hair cut she said that It was because of the colours I chose. I said I didn't chose colours I asked for one colour, a deep purple and ended up with blue green washed out pastel purple mixture. And that I don't think anyone goes into the salon thinking a hair cut and steaks is going to be over 3 hrs! At this point she informed me that their policy is too fix it within two weeks but it must be with the same hair dresser. I said that I was uncomfortable with that because she didn't seem to have a component attitude. I was informed she was a senior stylist and was fully component. I said the stylist continuously left me to go and mix more colour about 6 times. I was informed that was normal.( I have never had a hair stylist go and mix colour so much if they are good they can estimate how much they need the first time). Anyway I am sure the hairdresser I had is a wonderful person. But if the colour was going wrong or she was seeing it was going to be an extensive process she should have informed me and I could have just said to bleach the streaks and cut it and come back another day for the colour. I asked multiple times if it was going to be a vibrant purple and was told yes and shown samples of colour. None of the colours shown to me is how my hair came out. I honestly don't know if I will go back there. I would feel so uncomfortable having the person I'm complaining about do my hair again and I'm sure she would feel awkward too. I was disappointed because I have had such good experiences before and was shocked the client was treated so poorly when they are unhappy. I suggest next time you walk out and not pay. And sadly don't recommend going here because if you ever have a problem or complaint it doesn't look like they are very accommodating. My feelings were quite hurt by the whole endeavour.

Pure NV has been my go to salon for the past few years! The services offered are always excellent, I appreciate that the staff are very professional and that the salon uses Aveda products. I had yet another great experience today - a haircut and style with Monica. The salon itself is very clean and modern, with a stylish Scandinavian feel. The owners are very organized and kind when booking you on the phone and greeting you upon entry. I sincerely look forward to spending time at Pure NV - highly recommend to anyone considering booking!

Always asking if temperatures of the water is ok. Always asking if you want something to drink. Realistically price went up everywhere and this place has reasonable prices. Professional, experienced, friendly, she gave me the best hair experience I have had to date - the treatment, the trim and style (her suggestion) turned out great and my hair never felt better.
