My stylist, who I loved, moved to BC!! I asked some friends and coworkers who they went to and several said Odyssey Hair Salon & Spa. I figured I would give them a try. I was blown away by the amazing cut I got! I went back a few times and then decided to make a drastic change and asked Leann to chop it off, my hair was past my waist and now it's to my shoulders. I told her to cut it the way it would suit me the best and did she ever. I'm getting compliments upon compliments and I LOVE my new style. Recently became a client of Odyssey, and intend on remaining one for a long time. Rachel is my stylist and does amazing work on colour and cut. It obvious to me she loves what she is doing. We both get excited for the outcome and she never disappoints. She is very talented, and proud of her work. The salon itself, has a more spa like feel with a great sense of calmness. They always make you feel welcome. All of the girls work excellent with one another, very respectful and helpful to each other. I see the other girls work and everyone seems to have their own unique style, with awesome results. They always offer you a tea or coffee, they perform a relaxing technique before your service and after. The owner is there working, and fits right in with all the girls Everyone seems happy, and glad to be there! It’s a pleasurable experience from start to finish, not a typical salon. More spa experience, can’t wait to try all the other services. Definitely getting my mom a gift card she will love it and so will you!

I had an amazing appointment today with Ellie for a balayage. She was super sweet & professional, and made sure I was getting what I wanted out of the visit by checking in with me before starting, and before toning. I am super happy with the outcome of my hair, and while going blonde from brunette can be a process, I am more than pleased with the outcome of today's appointment. My hair looks light & beautiful, so thank you so much to Ellie! The whole atmosphere at Odyssey Salon is great. I felt very relaxed and mellow, and I absolutely loved Teddy & Bear ( emotional support dogs ). Everyone was so happy & positive, and it was just good vibes all around. All of the products they use are also vegan, which is great if you're an animal lover like me. I found the price of the balayage to be fair ( about $250 with tax and tip ). Thanks again to the team at Odyssey, I can't wait to be back :).

I am one of the many people that have been nearly traumatized by bad hair cuts in the past. Unfortunately, I am a hard person to satisfy let alone impress when it comes to these things. I am forever changed after going to Odessey for the first time. I have very curly hair and I haven't found anyone that is able to cut it to my liking. Curly hair and straight hair are completely different and need to be treated that way. Rachel knows this! She was very experienced and confident. I could genuinely tell she loves what she is doing and it means a lot to her if you leave happy with your hair and her work. I felt completely at ease with Rachel, as opposed to before my arrival I was very tense with it being my first time visiting. The atmosphere is this Salon is amazing and everyone made me feel welcomed! No judgy looks and genuinely happy faces. Thank you Odessey! It feels good to know I've finally found my Salon!

Amazing, I only go to Odyssey. My hair cut is always perfect for my type of hair and how it suits me and it grows in perfectly. Often one goes to a salon and it only looks good at the salon and you can never get it to look that way but not at Odyssey. I get complements on my hair months later!

Look out for the one star reviews! We picked this salon because it had a 4.7 on Google and it only shows one 1-star review, but if you sort the reviews from lowest to highest you will see that there are at least ten. My sister spent around $300 here including a cut she didn't need, and she was not informed of the price until after the services were already all done. Neither the stylist nor the owner were apologetic, and simply said they would be doing her a huge favour to fix the orange hair and would not admit it wasn't what she asked for even when shown the picture of what she wanted again. I have attached pictures that speak louder than words. What she wanted was red brown - she got uneven orange.

I had a wonderful experience with Katie at Odyssey. She cut exactly the amount of hair I wanted, nothing less or more. She was also very friendly and so was everyone else at the salon. A bit pricey than what I would usually pay but they do what you ask for. :) My hair was damaged at the ends due to getting a haircut after a year, she really guided me with how much would be perfect to cut yet still keep it healthy, fresh and long enough. They use great products too by Aveda, my hair became so silky and soft.

I had a great first experience at Odyssey. My appointment was with Katie and she did a great job with what she had to work with. I had huge tangles in my hair that she patiently worked on for about 40 minutes! We went a bit shorter than I had intended but that wasn't Katie's fault, it was because of the huge tangle in my hair that didn't want to budge. Warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere, I will definitely be back.

SUZETTE is amazing. You definitely NEED her to do any kind of coloring or highlights you want done. She did my Balayage perfect. She did exactly what i asked for. She pays attention to detail and is fantastic at what she does. Plus she does an amazing little massage before she does anything.. Thank you Suzette! See you in 3-4 months! KIERSTEN had so much patience teaching my how to blow dry my hair to give it volume. She also showed me how to use hair products in order and how to apply them. She styled my hair so pretty and because of her teaching i was able to do exactly the same at home! I love all the products you recommended! Thank you Kiersten for everything! This is probably my first positive experience from a salon and now my favourite place for a haircut. I booked my haircut with Melissa and she did a tremendous job. I had long thick hair and I wanted it cut short, she listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly how I wanted it and that's what I loved. Knowing the solution to your hair problems. Although I'm a little late in the review game, definitely going soon. Not to forget, a friendly atmosphere too. Comforting indeed.

I worked with the stylist Suzy. TLDR: For $300 ($70 for cut, $230 for dye), she gave me vibrant orange hair when I asked for dark red. Then the salon made me feel guilty about trying to get it fixed. Overall, I felt scammed by this salon. This salon takes advantage of young people who don’t know about hair... they don’t explain what they are doing and they don’t explain where the charges come from before hand. I had asked her for a full auburn (red/ brown) colour, but she told me that it would be better to get highlights instead for less upkeep. I agreed, but I did not end up with highlights - I ended up with an extremely uneven hair dye. Worse than the unevenness of the dye though, was that what was supposed to be a dark red came out as a bright orange... not even ginger, but pumpkin orange :( When I came back to the salon to ask for help fixing the colour or a refund to get it fixed at a different salon (s/o Shelly’s Den, she’s amazing!) they made me feel like I was asking for a huge favour since I have “soooo much hair” and that it was a lot of me to ask to get it fixed. They also told me that it would cost another $80 to get the hair I originally asked for, after already paying them $300 to turn my brunette hair orange. Then when I asked for a refund, they said they would only reimburse for half the price of the toner... not even the dye. I had to ask the owner of the salon why I wasn’t getting refunded half the price of the dye as well, and at that point she said she would. Additionally, I was convinced to get a hair cut that I didn’t need and ended up paying $70 for a LITERAL two snip hair cut... no exaggeration, somebody snipped my hair twice, then charged me $70. Overall I paid $300 to feel insecure about the way that I look, and the salon wanted to convince me that it was my own fault. I wish I could include photos.

I have had both a colour and cut at Odyssey and each service has been smooth, comfortable and priced at exactly the estimate! I have been attending Odyssey for the past 10 years (approximately) and would not go anywhere else. The Aveda products have been a blessing for my hair. Leann is an amazing stylist and I literally do not trust anyone else to cut my hair now. I have had a couple of great colour technicians over the years but I am now seeing Suzette and she is also amazing and very knowledgable. I have received spa services as well here and am always happy with my experience. I highly suggest Krista for a great set of lash extensions. Really great service but i have never been to a salon where when doing highlights or coloring blonde, you had to pay for toner. toner should be included if youre already paying over 100$ for highlights or bleaching. other than that prices are okay and the actual salon is quite nice.

I booked an appointment for balayage for my first time at this salon in January. I have had this process done multiple times at other professional salons and I was very disappointed with the outcome for how expensive it was. I have no problem paying the $300+ cost, but the balayage colour turned out very caramel/brassy as opposed to the neutral brown I asked for which I have been able to easily achieve in the past. In addition, my hair was teased during the process which led to a very long and painful process of detangling it at the sink which I have not experienced before. That being said, Kierstan herself was very friendly and I liked the haircut itself. On the other hand, my sister recently had a hair cut with Ellie and she had a great experience and loved the outcome. We both found that the salon was comfortable and all of the staff were friendly.

My experience at this salon was very poor. I had told the Master hair colorist that I only wanted a few highlights and did NOT want to be too blonde. The colorist said okay however did not listen to me at all. I also wanted to be a beige golden blonde and the colorist gave me orange hair !!! This is suppose to be a professional salon! I had told them multiple times that I only wanted a few face framing highlights, they told me it would come out sunkissed however that was not the case at all. My hair looks so yellow and orange! To make matters worse they could only offer a correction for me over a week later ! I had a photoshoot with my newborn the day i got my hair highlighted here and was so upset as those are pictures that will last a lifetime. I will never book with them again as I do not trust them. They also damaged my hair and put way too much bleach. My hair is dry now where it was so soft before. Picture attached. When i confronted the hair colorist about the problem she did not even apologize and was not concerned at all, just told the stylist to book a correction, the colorist wanted to argue with me when I said the color was brassy at the top and she laughed and said no its not. Before the 3rd lockdown, I put down a $50 deposit for a colour correction/balayage. When the lockdown lifted, I changed my mind and emailed the owner asking if I could use my $50 deposit toward just a haircut, which they accommodated. But sadly, this is what kind of haircut I received. Choppy, uneven, pieces longer than the supposable “cut”. I can’t even fix it because it’s just too short, and I don’t want to go any shorter. I asked for layers & didn’t even receive them. It’s all one uneven length. Will never be returning and I do not recommend this hair salon.

Ellie was wonderful!!! So nice and worked with me to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. What's more, is I booked in super last minute (night before) as my original stylist had to cancel. I was so lucky to find them! And the salon has the sweetest dogs! Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the work as well, and the salon was lovely and clean. I visited this salon for the first time yesterday. My stylist went way too dark with my hair colour, even though I had showed her a picture of what I was looking for. No apology, no offer to rectify it. Just told me that I would have to add highlights to lighten it up, and come back another day (at my own expense of course). If a customer is not happy, and it was a result of a mistake by a stylist, then something should be done/offered to rectify it! I'm giving 3 stars because the other stylist who cut my hair did an excellent job.

I have been going here for about a year and I have always had a great experience. Recently I went for highlights and a cut. It was my first time since COVID started that I came in. They are doing a great job with their sanitization and separation between stations. They have made their dividers so atheistically pleasing you almost forget why they are there. The are constantly wiping down their work stations and of course wearing masks. As for my colour and cut, it was great! They always start with essential oils to create a sort of aroma therapy and a quick shoulder and head massage. During the process, Rachel made sure I was comfortable and did a great job with the grow out on my hair! Definitely going back ????

I suffered from massive hair loss in 2020. People thought I had gone through chemo. The regrowth of that has been equally as awkward and emotional of an experience as the hair loss. It’s hard to feel put together when you look how I looked lol. I’ve been waiting impatiently for it to grow, and in the mean time I have not touched it. No haircut in one year, and the last person who cut it was my mom. I discussed all of my concerns with Keirsten, she was patient and attentive. She transformed my look as well as how I feel about my hair. I really enjoyed her gentle energy as well. I’m 30 years old this year and I have gone my entire life feeling like I had never really found a salon that I vibed with. Everything about this salon was a perfect experience, one I really needed. Okay so for anyone considering where to go for a hair cut... THIS IS YOUR PLACE... YOU NEED TO SEE RACHEL! First off, I am so picky with my hair and can say that this is the happiest I've ever been with a cut. The best part is that SHE ACTUALLY LISTENS. She will sit there with you and you can tell her what you like and then she step by step translates it into a cut that works for your hair. She doesn't make a face when you say "this is what I want." I've been to many hairdressers that try to stick their two sense in to give you something that they are comfortable with, whereas Rachel will actually try to achieve your desired look. Along with this, she is very personable and you feel comfortable during your experience. The vibe of the salon is not snoby or stuck up and they are training the sweetest reception girl who is so friendly. I had gone to a different salon before here and the receptionist ignored me for 10 mins and acted like a was a problem for being there whereas you don't get this vibe here! SO HAPPY CAN'T WAIT FOR RACHEL TO DO MY COLOUR NEXT MONTH! xx

I had my first appointment at this salon on Saturday and if I'm honest I have horrible luck with getting my hair colored or cut, so I was quite nervous. I went in asking for big changes (natural hair colour to balayage/blond highlights and chopping off more than 12 inches into a lob) and Karina didn't disappoint. She did a superb job with the coloring, the blond was absolutely perfect and the cut was well executed. I did go back only to get the ends texturized a bit more and Karina was happy to make any changes I wanted. She was super friendly and accommodating and I will certainly be going back.

I was at Odyssey 3 weeks ago for the first time to get my first hair cut in a very long time! Relaxing and friendly environment. Love the use of essential oils and Aveda products. Easy process to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted in a hair cut and I was thrilled with the outcome! Booked a follow up appt to have hair colored! Fast forward to today... Had hair colored with highlights and again I was incredibly pleased with the results. Suzette was very accommodating and allowed me to take many breaks as it is hard to sit for prolonged periods after being in a car accident a year ago. Our only complaint was not taking before and after photos ???? lol Love that there is a resident dog on site...always love being around animal lovers. The environmentally conscious way they run their business is a fantastic bonus! I will be returning, making Odyssey my new Salon! I highly recommend to others ????
