So unprofessional. Cannot even book a proper appointment because they clearly do not know what they are selling. I'd definitely be careful going to a place that cannot even describe the treatment properly. There's better places to spend your money. Ps. I am not a competitor... firstly everyone.. I said I was an educator. Also, I do not live anywhere near this spa location. I was coming way out of my way to try to get my lashes done as my appointment got cancelled due to an emergency my current tech cancelled. Just because you work in the industry means you can't be a client anymore? Its funny how they added that in with the fake apology. The fact that they try to treat a potential customer like they're uneducated just proves they will say anything to make me sound crazy. Professionally its called customer service. I've apologized to plenty of people working in customer service. They did not treat me very well at all. The advertisement said call or text! Why would you have that as an option and then try to make fun of me for doing so. Again so rude. Well I hope everyone can see exactly how they treat their potential clients. It doesn't matter at this point.. I'm just unhappy with the service I got today and thats the point I wanted to share with everyone. Its not one of those places that makes you feel better about your day. Which is what I think of when I want to get a beauty service done. They didn't do anything to make me happy. I was honestly just having a bad day and "oh great even the spa puts another jab in there... " they just aggravated me more and more.. well thank you... for making the day worse..

It was my first time coming here as I saw their flyer at my door step and was impressed with the prices and reviews on google and their instagram! I saw that they changed owners too and did a big upgrade. The owner served me and even when I booked online I got response in less than an hour! She washed cut blowdried and styles my hair for only $35! I was so impressed with the service and how my hair turned out. It feels so full of life and smooth! I will deffinately being going back! I highly reccomend ! Frishta is such an amazing business owner with a great background of knowledge with what she does! check out their instgram as they did repost me (: PS. I also admire that she has put up curtains for privacy of other clients she serves that are not comfortable have their hair out and shown.

I came to Frishta (the owner) for a consult/advice back in December after having my hair done by the owner (Lynn) at La Viva hair studio in Burlington. I had paid $330 (plus tax) for what was suppose to be a beautiful balayage. BUT instead ended up with what looked more like highlights and after the first wash my hair was brassy yellow. I even bought this purple shampoo that the owner suggested which was just another $30 down the drain. My hair just continued to get brassier and brassier despite using it. May I add that I was told that the colour would not be exact but close to it. Needless to say I was devastated and still am. Not only had I paid so much money, I now could not book my graduation photos. Frishta listened to my concerns and advise me to reach out to the owner and see what she could do. Well I went back and long story I ended up in the same situation and now my hair was even more damaged. I contacted Frishta again and I stated that I would come see her after my hair had some time to repair itself and that I would postpone my graduation photos and see what she thought could be done when nearing the date for my grad photos. I went in to see Frishta last week and she was quite honest with me and told me that my hair could not be the colour that I had been originally wanting and that just toning it would not work either. She stated that she thought my hair was healthy enough to undergo bleaching again and hopefully get it somewhat near the colour that I was looking for. My hair came out great. It is still not the colour that I have been wanting but it is heading there and at least now I am able to go ahead with my graduation pictures. It is day 4 and my hair does not look brassy. Unlike with the other salon, the toners just literally washed away the day after. May I add that Frishta was very gentle with my hair (it had been under so much stress that combing it is a pain in the butt). She did not rush and took her time. I see that some reviews state that her prices are expensive but if you do some research, her prices are actually quite affordable! Above all Frishta was honest. She told me that she would have never deceived me into thinking that my hair could come out the colour I wanted and as I mentioned even now she stated the same. She stated that I'll need to come back. Her products are also of quality as my experience thus far (although I know it has only been 4 days) have not washed out. In addition, Frishta told me that if I was unhappy to come back straight to her and she would fix it. The first picture is of the disaster that La Viva hair salon did (I put in a photo of what I wanted which was actually supposedly the work of the owner). The second picture are the results from Firshta at this salon.

I got married saturday in Dec and was running late to my own wedding. I came 30 mins late to my appointment and Nawa the hairstylist was so nice and kind she didn't send me back home as they were closing soon. FYI I have very short hair but Nawa prepared my hair in a way that gave me up do which I couldn't believe how she did it. She applied my veil very securely. After my hair their make up artist Nela was done her shift but stayed back to make sure I looked beautiful on my wedding. She used their own high end make up products to give me doing finish. And I was so surprised all night I didn't touch up or re apply my lipstick despite drinking and eating and kissing. I must say I was a very happy bride and all my pictures looked great. Thank you Nawa and Nela as I received a lot of compliments.

She gave me the worst haircut of my life and then started trimming my beard. After trimming one side she asked me to put the mask on as she suddenly remembered covid restrictions. I even told her I had to be at a party but she insisted on not removing the mask. I sarcastly tipped her 20 bucks extra for her amazing services for ruining my day and she then suggested me to go to a beard shop for getting my face fixed.

I went to Avante salon for the first time this week. I had previously been a frequent client at another salon for over 5 years, however I had heard positive things about this salon from other clients and felt comfortable to try something new. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and I did not have to wait to get in for my appointment. My hair was cut by Andres, and he did an amazing job! I brought my hair length from my waist up to my shoulders, and he made sure to check with me before making the big chop, and frequently checking in throughout the appointment to assure I was happy with the results being produced, and I ALWAYS was! My hair feels so well done and healthy too! It was very important to me to feel comfortable changing salons, and I know now that I will be returning to this one!

The first time I took my daughter In to do an ombré it was perfect and we were so happy we found what we thought the best salon in the city! 7 months later we made an appointment for a trim and touch up to freshen up her ombré... we were asked if she wanted bangs with her cut beside the touch up. Later Nawa asked a novice to mix and apply the “product”. Immediately after applying the product the girl told nawa its heating up and dripping. Nawa asked her if she cleaned the tray from previous chemical. At the end of the process my daughter ended up in tears under the attacks of their comb for almost 3 hours. Her hair completely tangled! Not a word of apology or empathy came out of Nawa’s mouth. Quite the opposite she tried blaming it on my daughter and later telling us u have to come in another day for the cut because we didn’t make an appointment where she clearly acknowledged at the beginning of the cut appointment by asking my daughter if she wanted her bangs cut too!!!! I will not go here ever again and will not recommend this service to my worst enemies. This mess cost us $200 and $35/ month since then for treatments to control the fried hair. If I had anything nice to say it would be for her sister who was the more empathetic one and gave us a voucher for $25 to go back. It’s one thing to screw something up it’s another thing to own up to it and apologize to your paying customer.

The hair cut & color was good, however the makeup was extremely bad. They put fake pictures up saying they will do your makeup like it, however it is no where near the picture samples they have. Also, the tools that are used when doing the makeup are old and dirty. I would NOT recommend getting makeup done with them at all - I'm sorry but it is the truth.

Had my first appointment today and was so pleased with everything. The cut was exactly what I wanted and Fyishta was very helpful with recommendation regarding hair products and treatments. Also, the prices are very reasonable for all the services offered. The salon is very clean and well laid out. COVID protocols are in place and I felt safe being there. I was happy to see that a it is a full service salon and I will be going here for all my needs from now on. Five stars for sure!

Very bad service was getting a wash and blow dry. Very uncaring spent 2 minutes drying my hair and 10 minutes on phone 2minutes drying my hair and 10minutes on the phone. Etc etc. Felt very uncomfortable and my hair was super flyaway after. So much static. I had to wash my hair later same day WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. Enter at your own risk. - beware rude uncaring sloppy service

Absolutely thrilled with my experience here! I was a walk in on Friday and was happy they were able to get me in so quickly. I was impressed by the look of the salon very clean and modern. It has a real good vibe. I had my hair cut by Nawa and she was incredibly nice and worked with me while I did a drastic change to my hair. It ended up looking amazing and is now super healthy. Very impressed with the service Avante Salon has to offer, new owner has added many other services to suit all needs! Recently went in for hair colour left very pleased yet again! Did want to mention they do have a great protocol placed due to Covid. No wait time, come in with a mask, sanitize and get seated at the station your having service completed at! I felt very comfortable being in the hands of Andres and Freshta, amazing team, your time is your time with them. Less busy since they are unable to take walk ins but book a time in advance and they make sure your chair is reserved for you! I have been to many salons and this place by far has to be the best, they truly make sure your happy if not they guarantee to make it happen!!!

Let me just say how amazing and professional these girls are! I came in for microblading and Nela did and amazing job on my eyebrows I’m still shocked by the results. I loved my brows so much that I decided to get my hair done at Avante as well and let me tell you I’m so glad I did, Nawa did a beautiful job with my balayage hair and I’ve been to many high end salons and never got what I wanted so thank you so much avante... Started out ok with makeup. Looks nice. Eyelashes that were used were not sitting right on my lashes. They ran out of the lighter ones had to use heavier lashes and it was uncomfortable. Really should have curled my lashes first but she could not find her eyelash curler . The make up area was messy and not organized. Made me nervous. Surprised that they do not use airbrush makeup. Found that the foundation was too heavy and cakey. It did look nice though for maybe 3 hours. Then had to do alot of touch ups with my own makeup. She did not use enough eyeshadow for my hooded eyes and the makeup was shiny. Then my hair was done. I arrived with clean and dry hair to speed things up. I showed pictures if what I wanted. I explained my hair can hold a curl or wave very well but they would not do the style I wanted. Told me it would fall out. So they just curled my hair with a straightner and pinned it back. Not my preferred method. Should have used a proper curling iron and setting spray and heat protector and pin to set the curl and let it cool. Ended up with no volume and the curls fell out by the time I got home. The comb I asked to be pinned fell off. I had to recurl my hair. It was difficult to do as she used lots of hairspray. I fixed it but still did not look great. Disappointed and I was embarrassed by my hairstyle. They should really listen and do what the client asks for. It was very expensive for what they did especially the hair. I chose this salon based on the excellent reviews. Goes to show you can't go by reviews. I will not be returning.
