Pricey for what is offered for nail services. Cost to remove shellac was $18 with tax, which is much more than I pay in Toronto at other nail salons ($5-7), and quality was similar for both services. It wasn't clear to me what drove nearly 3x in price

I get waxed very regularly. I usually love the 10 spot in Toronto but was in Guelph so it worked well to go there. Two problems: the attitude from the receptionist. I think she may have been a weekend manager or something. The second was the technician. She was very inexperienced. Some hair was torn, resulting in hair growth a few days later. She also missed a spot, and I didn't notice till I left. I came back 10 minutes later to see if someone could quickly fix it. The receptionist told me she could book it in for the next day however this was not an option as I live out of town. She shrugged and more or less said "oh wel" My bill was $170. Way over priced for the poor quality of service. I will not return.

Lovely-looking, clean, and welcoming space, good administration, professional and very friendly employees, they didn't have ultra thin brushes to do fineline designs but my artist made it work and it still looked good. It has been 3 months since my last treatment and my hair is growing more and more lately with ingrowns becoming more frequent. After 6 laser sessions I was led to believe this would be minimal. I’ve spent close to $600 on these sessions on a “new” machine which was supposed to rid me of my hairs in 4-6 sessions and I feel as though I was ripped off and I’m genuinely not happy with the results. There are more knowledgeable places to go to for laser hair removal.

This was my go to spot in Guelph but since they now discriminate against people who can not wear face masks and ignore the actual public health mandate which makes room for people who can not wear a mask I will no longer be using their services and I can not in good conscience recommend this business. So, I am probably the first "guy" to write about this place... My wife has been bugging me to get my nose hairs under control. She mentioned that I should get them waxed. Immediately i felt uncomfortable about the whole idea. Against my "inner man" judgement I made an appointment at the 10 spot in Guelph. Upon arrival, the staff explained the whole process to me in detail. They ushered me to a waxing room and had me lay down on a table. The procedure took about 90 seconds (per nostril). I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and painless this was. Not only were my nose hairs no longer not touching my upper lip, I could breathe much easier.... I now go regularly. much to the delight of my wife, kids and anyone i come in contact with on a daily basis :). Give them a try.. You'll be pleased.

If I was able to give a 0 star I would. The girls that were in today showed no interest in anything they were doing. Didnt feel comfortable tuching feet when that's there job to get pedicures and made me feel embarrassed about myself after I left there. I'll never go back and advise you to go somewhere else. It's not worth the embarrassment they make you feel and every girl is different. We should be building each other up and not humiliating eachother. Sincerely a normal girl with feelings.

I really loved the modern, clean, friendly atmosphere. I got the gel mani done and I had a little bit of a wait, even with booking an appointment (on a Saturday afternoon), which was fine - I always take a while to choose a colour anyway! Of note, the sample key chains were beautifully organized and colour-coordinated, so it made it easy to find what I was looking for! The mani took longer than usual (about an hour), but they really took care of you. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are offered and there is a super cute selection of mini-bottles of wine or beer (I didn't order or check the prices, though). The manicurist was super chatty and friendly, which was a lot of fun. The manicure itself wasn't the best I've gotten. Some of the layers look cracked or you can see where one layer stops before the end of the nail. On one of my nails, the top coat was hanging over my cuticle and I had to file it down, but it ended up leaving a chipped portion on the side of my nail that I'm expecting to crack open sooner than it should. She also cut into one of my cuticles pretty badly. It wasn't bleeding, but stung when it came into contact with something and is still pretty tender. Overall, I would definitely recommend here for the experience, not if you're looking for an in-and-out touch up. It's more expensive than your average salon, but it would be perfect for a special event and if you're looking for a very good pampering.

Honestly... so not impressed. Whatsoever. From everything I heard and read on their site and from other people, I went to this place expecting a beautiful lounge-type area with a bar menu and relaxing atmosphere etc. Yeah right. It's a small cramped place with only two tables at the front for nail customers; ZERO waiting area at all so you either have to stand around looking/feeling stupid or squeeze into one of the nail tables. No relaxing atmosphere at all, glaring lights, no music or anything to reduce the stark feeling of the room. In fact, I was met with a couple of tired and grouchy youths which I would have excused if I didn't feel they could at least make the effort to smile and be pleasant since we were paying quite a lot. Their so-called "bar menu" turned out to be: Beer, red or white wine lol which was served in a plastic cup; the opposite of the elegance that is advertised by many others. I had a girl doing my nails who sniffed and snorked only inches away from my face which was pretty gross and I kept leaning back to get away from her. Finally, the quality of the manicure was even disappointing. Just your average nail polish job with filing really (a tiny soak and scrub beforehand that didn't really do much). She put the polish way too far from the nail bed so my nail polish looked old even the next day. Also, they only do one colour and no designs. I guess that's what a typical manicure is but I'm just saying, I'd heard so many great things that it seemed odd it was just so limited for what you're paying... I could have done a better job myself at home for free. Anyways, yeah. Disappointment. Will never return.

But this last appointment, because it seemed like she was rushed, she applied thick coats of polish, rather than multiple thin coats and three days into my mani, all of the polish has cracked. Four days in and the cracks are peeling. :(

Amazing service and experience for my nieces. The staff are so friendly! There's options for kid friendly services as well as adult services. No parking lot, street parking available. What's really cool: you can get a non-alcoholic OR alcoholic beverage. Gift certificate available. Parties (bridal for example) accepted. They were also open on Sunday. Reservation recommended but they do their best to accommodate walk-in customer. It's nice to book in ahead of time though.

I went for a gel pedicure recently and was very pleased with the experience during the pedicure. A couple of weeks later the gel polish peeled off, however when I reached out to the spa, they immediately offered to book me in to fix it. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service and because of that, would come back again.

I was excited to try 10 Spot when it opened in Guelph. Id see them online before and thought they looked interesting. But I was very disappointed. The girl Paulina did a good pedicure, but the station is VERY uncomfortable. My foot wierdly sat there when she did the massage (which was really short). My lower back was sore from the seat, even with a pillow behind it. I feel they have gone too far 'anti-spa'...... too modern, at the discomfort of their clients. I think the concept works in Toronto with a million people who want fast services but not at a chop shop. But in the suburbs theres many more places to go that are not frou frou spas or chop shops.

Booked an appointment for a pedicure Thursday before long weekend and received a call saying they had to cancel appointment as the person scheduled to preform the manicure was sick and no one else was available!! I prepaid for the service using visa and their policy is that they must have 24 hour notice if I cancelled. I got one hours notice ! This was my first time visiting Ten Spot so I am MOST disappointed with their level of service .

Both times I have come here, I have had to wait well past my appointment time. Today my appointment literally lasted 4 minutes. My appointment was scheduled for 2 pm. I rushed to get there on time. She took me in at 2:08, and I left at 2:12. Nice girl, but that’s not cool. Will be looking for somewhere else to go.

She is always very professional, thorough and gentle. She as well as other staff members are also very knowledgeable about before and after care, and after taking their recommendations I have noticed a huge improvement. Inspiration photo vs reality was disappointing. It’s a busy time of year for the industry I know, but my appt was rushed. I love the ten spot because I can book online. However I find the online timings aren’t realistic. I’m never finished when the online timing says I will be - not because service providers are slow, but because the expected timeline for services set by management **is not realistic**. Consequently my service provider was rushed and likely stressed, and ran over time because I wanted nail art but online I wasn’t able to add time for it. My shellac rarely lasts more than a week when done at the ten spot, regardless of who does it, this round didn’t last 3days before starting to peel. When done elsewhere I get 10days before a minor chip or peel happens and 2 full weeks of good looking nails. I love the girls at the Guelph location, everyone is polite and kind and fun and friendly. My disappointment is with management. Your website says your business model is such that you want to be between the price point of the cheap “Asian” nail bars and the high end salons, but my 3 day shellac cost me almost $70, before tip. I’ll do them myself for 3 day nails, or I’ll go to a proper salon and pay less than $70 for better nail art that lasts as long as I’m wanting to wear it for. Too expensive for the rushed result that disappoints in the end.

I have never ever written a review for any establishment but this NEEDS to be shared in hopes that other people can avoid such extreme disappointment. I keep giving this place a chance every now and then but this was it. I went here because bare essentials is completely booked for the week. Firstly, $38 for a bikini+bum is already ridiculous af.. She took off literally 1 line of hair from each side and top and didn't go all the way "between the cheeks" like their website literally claims to do. I asked her to go a tiny bit more into the sides because at this point my bathing suit wont even cover the hair, but she said that would make it a thongkini which is another $4 extra. I agreed because I just want good results at this point. She takes off 1 more line of hair from each side ...... So i wasted $47 for her to wax the surface area equal to a toonie. For my other average experiences here, they're happy to let you leave with obvious, visible, stray hairs even outside the bikini area so idk if they're rushing, blind, or just dont care. Go to bare essentials where this is half the price and they're actually thorough or go literally anywhere else.

I was pretty disappointed with this place. I'd heard about it so I arranged for my sister and I to have our first manicures ever there. It was so over-priced for what they offered. Limited colours, no extensive designs. I know that they boast their "au naturel" approach but the price should take into account that they're really not doing much beyond a quick buff, file, and polish. The hand massage was like five seconds. My nails were shaped crookedly. Beer and wine options were so limited that it wasn't worth it. The girl my sister had was nice and chatty but the one I had was very stand offish and I wasnt comfortable. Overall, 2 stars because the place was clean, my nails were done and it saved me having to do them myself basically. It wasn't a terrible experience but definitely not worth the money.
