I've checked out all other gyms and bang for ur buck this is the place to be. No hero flexing in the mirror, noone taking selfies. Everyone comes to workout. There are alot of assisted machines, heaviest free weight is 70lbs, and tons of cardio machines. People talk bad about this place and I'm not sure why. The place is super clean and very cheap. You pay monthly what you would pay bi weekly at other places. And there is no commitment. How could you go wrong

If there was a 0 star, you would have negative stars after how i was discriminated and poorly treated by the district manager and manager of this location for expressing concerns on the health and safety. They have no empathy or care for the members of this facility as the district manager made that loud and clear about that directly. I was enjoying this gym till how i was treated. Both unprofessional and unethically fit to run the gym. You Advertise no judgment but you failed that statement today.

The negative reviews are from self entitled chimps. This Gym is fine, friendly staff, good equipment that has been known to go out of service (As would any place with high demand usage). Clearly these idiots have never been to a small gym where you are waiting an hour just for a turn on the squats or leg press. I find the maximum wait time I have ever had for a machine is 15 minutes, which is plenty of time to get another work out in. Don't listen to these babies, the more money they make, the more locations for us, meaning more access and more options across town.

Planet fitness is a joke! I went in to cancel mine and my wife's membership with a written letter from my wife as she was not able to be with me and they said that that was to bad and they could do nothing to help us without her being there or sending a registered letter (which costs the customer money). When you sign up they take a picture of you so they can ID you and when I told them I would face time her so they could ID her, that also was not good enough. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLANET FITNESS..... TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Need hand sanitizers everywhere like they used to back when they reopened after Covid. The cleaning spray bottles also need to be changed/cleaned because they are yellow in a lot of areas, and very gross. Overall, they need to clean more often in my opinion.

They don't have regular squat racks, which really bothers me for some reason, but on the positive side, it is only closed for Christmas and Boxing Day, other than that they are always open.

I was courteous about this gym so I thought I would give it a try. I have never seen so many treadmills and elliptical mechines in my life. What a joke first off there are no barbells just smith machines and the bumbells only go up to 75 pounds. If you are interested in weightlifting this is not the place for you. I would not join this place if they gave we a free membership!!

Gym itself is okay, but god forbid you ever need to buy anything from the front counter. Towels? $25 each. Headphones? $12. Hope whatever you buy isn't defective either because employees tell you that managers can refund, but managers tell you they can't. Had to buy their crappy rebranded dollar store headphones for a 1000% markup and they didn't even work out of the box. No refunds, not even bought on the same day, with receipt. Offered to replace, but why would I want to exchange garbage for more garbage? Go to the Y or a city gym instead, this place is overly busy even by peak hours standards, and they gouge you on extras worse than Ryanair.

Went to sign up, as I'm hoping to get back to a 24-hour gym. Unfortunately it looks like they only accept bank/debit billing. I'm not able to expose myself to that kind of risk, especially after reading the recent reviews here. PF, if you'd like to do business with me (and doubtless many others in my position), I'm able to pay with cash or Mastercard. I also require a simple no hassle web cancellation option, or some kind of fixed non-renewing term (ie. 3 months, a year, etc). If you're able to offer this in the future, count me in! Cheers!

Planet Fitness is a great place to get back to working out. Everyone is wiping everything down and wearing masks when not on a machine. I am really happy that we can take care of our fitness at a club with few restrictions again. There was no lineup and no appointment necessary ☺

Spacious gym....lot of machine equipments...but u will surely miss those free barbells...they have some strict rules in how you behave in the gym for example...no groaning or in their words linking where they have a link alarm....you cant drop weights...you have to clean the every equipment after use...but at the end of the day it just $10 bucks a month

Basic gym with plenty of space. Has a super corporate "Globo-Gym" feel, but the price and value of the passes are hard to beat. Not a powerlifter or anything like that, so this place has everything I need to complete a workout. They could do with a few more water fill stations thought. 100 treadmills and 1 water station.

Decent gym, friendly staff. Good for a casual workout. No power racks, no barbells, though. So, in other words, if you either powerlift or do Oly lifts, it's out of the question. Go to tournament centre instead, they got professional equipment and less people. Also, it's a flat fee, while planet fitness slam you with all kinda unexpected charges.

Happy to be able to bond a little with my teenage daughter's while teaching them a healthy life routine for about $20 a month blackcard. Less than half the price of anywhere else. I deal with the change rooms by not using them. Come ready to roll and use the personal lockers they later installed outside the rooms to lock up coats, keys and outdoor shoes. I'm not here to rate the locker room. Suits my life situation 5*****stars. Also, although not yet retired, seniors need a weekly routine after retirement. A place to schedule getting up out of the house like in their working days. A place that doesn't break the bank and fill a void in their new retired work-life.

You won't find a better bang for you buck with this service. I enjoyed my workout and all the equipment is brand new. A bit limiting on the free weights and the inability to work out hard due to the "lunk alarm" doesn't make this ideal for power lifters or people trying to do max sets or reps.

Really good place for beginners who want to start out, and also a good place for advance level people too. Clean equipment, friendly staff, people mind their business and don't stare at you like they are superior (looking at you Motion Fitness). Also, if you get the Black Card Membership, you get access to massage chairs, waterbeds, tanning booths, and more all for $20 month. Highly recommended for anyone to go in Grande Prairie!

Fraud, if you make a payment at the gym, just know it’s not recorded and your bank will still charge you for the same payment plus if you want to cancel your membership, they want you to still make the same payment again because, they don’t have the payment on record. The jason guy they called manager or whatever he calls himself has no clue about business.

I just quit my membership. This morning my second time being back after reopening. I used one of their cardio machines and after I was out of breath standing next to my machine a worker came up to me and said I had to put my mask on. I said "Can it wait till I catch my breath first?" She said no. I say "Ok what if I just rest on the machine and catch my breath? She said "No, once you stop exercising you must put on the mask immediately." It happened July 27 10 AM 2020 and it was the woman working the front door. If the bosses are reading this.... she cost you a customer. I did not have this problem my first time back.

Nice gym and equipment but frustrating with taking payments and managing memberships. Got auto renewed for a membership without any notification or consent, not even a "hey have you enjoyed your year with us?" I'll admit this next part is a bit on me, but I have the auto payments on a banking account I don't use much anymore (I switched institutions) and I don't have overdraft protection. I should remember the date it will be withdrawn, but life is busy... 45$ for a 10$ gym fee. My issue is, almost every other auto billing program and even other gyms have an alert system to remind you payment is due soon, and I have asked the manager at Planet fitness if some form of messaging system could be established. I was told "many people have asked for that, but the club doesn't feel it's necessary." Listen to your patrons. Can't cancel my membership online or over the phone either.. very frustrating. I will be cancelling my membership, and I will adamantly fight for no cancellation fee. Tired of getting dinged and not told about it. Will be going to TCC for the month to month

Decent place to work out! Lacks a lot of the amenities you'd be used to in other gyms, but it's pretty obvious that that's because they cater to a more mainstream gym crowd. If you're looking for speciality equipment for athletic training or serious bodybuilding, you'll be hard pressed (and probably outgrow it)... But if you're like me and just want to maintain/get in shape with a decent amount of toned muscle to feel good about- you'll be fine.

If I could Rate 0 star , I would do that. 4 member of their Team told for some charges that they said i will not get charged for those . I still got charged, Called back , still Their team member said you should have not got charged , asked me to email manager, No response for 10 days, called again, spoke to manager again , she said email again , emailed again , No response, called again , then some manager put me on hold for 20 mins by saying hold on for a min, i ended call and called back, Team member told me the manager i spoke to before cant come on the phone now , I asked then why she put me on hold , he had no answer, she purposely put me on hold as she don’t want to deal with it and ignore like everyone else. Then Finally manager replied without giving any explanation. I wanted to cancel my membership and they have the worst system in the world . They said you have 2 options: 1. You have to come in person and cancel it . 2. I have to write down my name and number on a piece of paper and send it it mail box. I called them and they said this procedure. Like seriously. I asked them to cancel on phone but they didn’t. I told them can’t come in person or go to mail box bcz Monday to Friday... I’ve a busy schedule. I felt really disappointed and told them that this procedures actually won’t work. So unfortunately I had to go in person in between my job schedule. I will never recommend to come at planet fitness.

The gym is quite nice, love everything about it but the staff. The blonde one in the black pantsuit is one of the worst customer service workers I have ever dealt with. After having a minor issue that could have been solved right away she turned it to be more difficult leading me to just walk away with frustration. Luckily she wasn’t there the next time I came in where I was helped by the assistant manager. She on the other hand was very bright, polite, and helped me with everything I had concerns with. Whenever I go to the gym now I see that blonde worker and she always gives me a nasty look when we pass by each other or even when I’m entering the building to sign in. Something should be done about it, I know she has been talked to but I’ve heard more complaints about her. It’s really sad because it really is a very good gym but when she’s there it brings the experience to a big low. I have worked customer service for seven years and the way she treats people needs to be fixed.

I’ve worked out at many different gyms and this one is by far the most open and inviting! I love that there seems be at least as many women as men who work out here and it feels like everyone is welcome. It’s a bit of a bummer at first that there are no free weight squat or bench racks, but you adapt to using just the smith machines pretty quickly!! Love the massage chairs and tanning.

I called them to cancel my membership because i wasn’t using their facility on Feb 19 and the lady told me that she would put a request through and if there is an error they will contact me, I didn’t receive a call so I thought that the cancellation went through. On March 1st i was charged the annual renewal fee $44 when i called them again to inquire about the charges they told me that it was my job to call them again to confirm my cancellation and they couldn’t do anything about it and he told me that he can see that my account was accessed on Feb 19 but can’t see why. After this horrible customer service experience i’m never returning to this gym and i wish there was an option for ZERO stars.

Joining this gym has brought my weight loss to the next level. The atmosphere is great, there are numerous machines for cardio and weight training. The place is always clean, although you do have some gym goes that don't seem to think they need to wipe down there machines after they use them, yuck, but you seem to get that everywhere. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I hope to try more classes in the new year. The couple I did were amazing. Daniel is awesome!

Bill is good to work with, albeit very fast in the information he gives without much time to reiterate information so I question his pedagogical abilities at times. I'd give it four stars if they didn't keep the place so hot in the cooler months. It's a gym, lots of heavy breathing, stinky, sweating bodies roaming around. It doesn't matter if it's cold outside, people don't want to be hot as balls while they're working out. It's also a major deterrent for migraine sufferers and those with health issues exacerbated by the heat.

Downsize is this location is brand new , and one of the massage beds werent working properly and the employee basically said they wont fix the machine as than all the machines in the spa will need to be shut down. And they wont want customers upset. But we are still paying for the service...so..... but regardless really like it. .

Read your contract before you sign it. What a bunch of crooks. I moved out of gp during covid. Due to covid I had no way to shut down my account. After they opened again, they just started billing as usual. I called to get reimbursed and got nothing but no from them. I had the Regional manager, Karly that wouldn't give her last name, call me back. She told me that because they sent an email, that she blamed spam detection in my email being the reason I didn't get it, that I would not be reimbursed and compared her gym to Netflix. It didn't matter that I haven't been there in well over a year. She also continued to tell me that I would still be charged moving on. Until I came in and canceled my membership or mailed in a bunch of papers. Obviously I don't want your service. If I did, I would have come in and told you so. I think with all that's gone on with covid, that they would be understanding and not tell me that there's nothing I can do and that they will continue to take my money. Absolutely the worse customer service I've ever experienced. Take your money somewhere local. These giant companies don't care about you or I. This gym is owned by greasy trash of humans. Crooks.

Excellent place to get a workout if that's, machines, free weights, cardio, etc. Great staff, clean place, no intimidation, people who go to this gym are just there to get fit. The monthly membership can't be beat, don't even bother going anywhere else. It can be a bit crowded in around dinner time but it's open 24 hrs a day from Monday through Friday.

I love the staff here they are always helpful. The fact there is unlimited tanning in itself is worth it. Right now only 1 of every 2 machines is available due to covid so try and come when it isnt prime hours as you may not get in or it may be very busy and you'd have to wait to use the machines you want anyway.

Good experience so far here. The staff is always friendly (a lot of the reviews speak about rude staff, I've never had an issue and I've interacted with a lot of different staff. Maybe it's you.). The establishment is very clean (lockers and bathrooms included). It's a friendly environment and no judgement is felt what-so-ever. There's lots of equipment and I have never had to wait to use a machine (although I do plan and go when the times aren't busy)

I was pleasantly surprised it's very clean and spacious! Since they just opened up everything is brand new. Soooo many cardio machines, and a good number of weight machines. The black membership spa equipment is so worth it. They have a red light machine that elsewhere, people pay hundreds of dollars to use. With the black membership you also can bring a buddy free every single time you work out. $25 a month no commitment? Cheap good bang for your buck.

For a place that prides itself on being a "judgement free zone", ALL staff should be respectful when conversing with members and not intimidate or ridicule members. While the majority of staff are awesome, certain staff are treating members with a complete lack of dignity and respect. This ultimately comes down to management turning a blind eye to staff members who are out of line and straight up rude to members. When multiple members, and even other employees, are aware of these issues then something needs to change.

Found that it’s clean very state of the art facility. Good for people just starting out working at the gym. However customer service was lacking I was a new customer and wasn’t even shown around. I also found that they’re facility isn’t welcoming to all sorts. They do not have the basics to proper power lifting workouts and I do understand why. But only 4 smith machines during busy times is a joke I waited 25 minutes for benches or “squat racks” to do one free weighted workout. So it’s good for people who are just starting out but people that really want to get serious about the gym. I recommend a proper facility.

Good if youre going to get a good cardio workout, and a pretty good selection of machine. I only wish there were more benches and free barbells because the smith machines are always busy! With the amount of people going to this gym there needs to be more smith machines or a time limit. I have seen guys use these machines for half an hour or more. I left early today for this reason. At the beginning of 2020, we joined PF, and for 2 months everything was fine, we liked the facility. However, their customer services is horrible. With the pandemic starting, they charged us a day before the facilities closed. No refunds for that, and there was no one to be reached at the club by phone. And on the website, it says that all questions should be directed toward the local club; no support there. Then, when they reopened in July, I came in to cancel the membership, but was advised to freeze it (to see if things get better). The person at the registration told me that if I still want to cancel, to do that before December 17, which I did, calling prior to the date. Turns out, I will still be charged for another month because I did not do it far in advance (which was never mentioned), but according to the 2 people I spoke with (on the phone and in person) it is my problem because I should have checked the contract rather than going off of what the representative said in July. So now, I am charged twice (in March and in December) without ever using the facility since March. The management and customer service are not understanding at all, and are not willing to adapt and issue a refund. It's a total money grab with their membership, there is lack of communication, and reading through the previous reviews, I am not the only one who experienced this with this club. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this club to anyone unless you want a constant hassle with fees, etc.

Horrible experience with cancelling a membership, management clearly doesn’t care. I froze my membership for medical reasons prior to the most recent COVID closure in November, specially travelled to the gym and signed to do so. Called the day they reopened about cancelling and was told I had a few days to come in and sign, which I did. Then I was told my cutoff to cancel was the day I called (aka the first day open) so I’d be charged anyway, but I was not given this information on the phone. I was given a business card to contact the manager to process a refund and never heard back, it’s been at least a week. Had to go through my bank to get a refund and block them from charging me and now I got the charge on my credit card. Called and spoke to a manager who avoided the entire situation of the first charge and their failure to reply or help me at all, and they told me this charge is for a month they were CLOSED and my membership was FROZEN. Told me I’m not likely to get my money back because it’s a backend system issue. Absolutely ridiculous excuse for customer service and I will never resume a membership at any Planet Fitness again. Update: in response to their reply, I specifically called the day you reopened and was told I had multiple days to come in and cancel before I’d be charged and that was clearly a lie. You also fail to address not replying to my email which is clear negligence on your part, and on your website it also says memberships were proactively frozen during the closure, so even if I hadn’t come in and frozen my membership (which I did) there is no reasonable explanation for charging me for the months you were closed. It’s also horrifying to me that I was told by a manager to not expect a refund for this. Horrendous all around, never coming here again and intend to tell my experience to everyone I know.

The fee is nominal except there is a high start-up fee. Lack of equipment for resistance training. Olympic size dumbell aren't available which means you can't work on deadlifts. Etc.

Very many machines in which you can exercise every muscle in your body specifically I've noticed people have a good habit of grabbing the spray bottles and cleaning the machines after their use it. I recommend if you tend to overheat stand in front of either one of the air conditioning vents or underneath the giant fan. Oh yeah and they have a hydro massage chair use it at least once

The staff are very friendly. It is a comfortable atmosphere to workout in. The two main complaints I have are the cleanliness and the issue with there only being one machine of certain machines making it next to impossible to work them into your workout because its not like you can form a line while people are using those machines. I think there needs to be additional staff added just for cleaning and maintenance. Things that are broken stay broken for a long time and the change room/bathroom is pretty gross. The sinks get cleaned but there are smudges and smears I've seen in the bathroom stalls and personal change rooms for months. I don't take showers there but I've overheard people in the change room saying they never get cleaned either. It's a big place and not that many people working at the same time so there's no way they can watch the front and do all of that cleaning too. They need a dedicated maintenance and cleaning staff there. But other than that, the main reason why you'd be there I have no complaints. Staff are great and there is such a great mix of people you really feel comfortable there.

I have the black membership which is great if you travel often as I do. Though my membership is in Miami no issues getting in. The only difference is you have to show proof of vaccination. Mask is required for now oct 23, 2021. Staff was friendly, place was clean and the equipment was well maintained. Plenty of parking and easy to find everything. Other than that it's a well stocked standard planet fitness.

I’ve signed up for another gym, I’ve given Planet Fitness plenty of chances, but it’s a well known fact that the so called “judgement free zone” is quite the opposite. Stop allowing your staff to walk all over your gym members or you won’t have any left. I know so many people who were once regulars there, but have since left because of issues with the staff. I’ve deleted my original review because it was written in anger, but the 1 star review stands because that’s all this gym deserves. It’s a shame.

An extremely friendly atmosphere and a very clean facility (coming from a cleaning company owner). . I was so impressed with the amount of value delivered to each visitor that I went ahead and offered paid-for black card memberships to my employees. We have already registered 4 and we will be registering another 5-10 in the next month. My only issue is that I personally do not like bringing my business credit card to the gym (for safety purposes) and prefer to manually enter the numbers into the system, when signing up my employees. However, there seems to be a disconnect in the training protocol, as it seems that only 1 member (Charmaine) has been able to manually enter my card information and 2 have denied the possibility of doing so. Hopefully this hole in the training is tended to as I've watched 2 other people get told the same thing last week and walk out saying they will return with their card on another day (which they may or may not). To me this seems like an unnecessary, and very fixable, decrease in conversion. Overall, Planet Fitness is an awesome experience in a super-welcoming environment at an incredible price.

With new social distancing protocols in place I was anxious to head back to the gym. Planet fitness has made the sanitizing stations more visible. The PF crew is very visible, constantly wiping down surfaces and cleaning the bathrooms. Equipment has been cordoned off, sinks as well, so it’s easier to maintain distancing. Unrelated to the COVID situation I also just appreciate the variety of equipment and the general atmosphere of planet fitness. PF gym members have always been friendly but now people are extra curtious and extra diligent about sanitizing

None too impressed with the sudden change in procedure. Since Covid started there have been many changes and this I completely understand. However since the gyms have reopened I have had my membership frozen as I have too much anxiety to participate in public activities. Since June I have made this request by telephone. The only reason I haven't cancelled my membership is because I was told I had to come in person to do so. I simply was not ok with that so I accepted the next best thing which is freezing my account as I am not attending the gym. Today I called as the freezing period is coming to an end on the 16th and with the covid numbers rising and there having been two covid cases at this particular location I still am not comfortable going back. I have also recently moved farther from the gym and do not have the ability to go in person to cancel. I was told that I could not make ANY requests over the phone. The person I spoke to also said this is the way it has been since he has worked there. Am I lying??? Did I just imagine myself calling in to freeze my membership for the last six months?!! So I now either have to go in person or write a formal letter to make any changes. I can't be sure that a letter would get there in time so I have no choice but to drive across the city to cancel my membership. I have been out of work since March and I have no income coming in. So this comes at a heavy cost. Thank you planet fitness for your lack of compassion or helpfullness.

Not impressed at all by Planet Fitness. They are trying hard to profit off of the pandemic. No email was sent out saying that they were going to start charging again. When I saw that my membership had been charged I automatically called to cancel and was told I needed to go into the gym to cancel. I asked if I could be refunded for this month as I have NO intention of going to the gym and there was no communication given that payments would resume (in March they sent out an email saying we would be notified). I am not impressed and reading their reviews I see that I am not the only one this has happened to. Other companies have been adapting and being understanding. I can say that my fiance and I will not be using Planet Fitness again unless they seriously change their policy and make this right for all those they have taken from during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC.

I LOVE Planet Fitness. The gym is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, the trainers are patient and encouraging, there are enough machines so I don't have to wait for a certain machine to work out. I'm very disappointed with Planet Fitness customer service standards. One of the front desk attendants shared my personal information with 2 separate men in the gym. Both men have contacted me over Facebook to make passes at me. Since October, I've only been in to workout a few times because I'm afraid of being harassed and followed home. One of the men just started to harass me online again so I was forced to cancelled my membership. I contacted the manager about this but the only thing I had received was an apology and that they won't charge me for the month of May. Considering the situation, I feel like more could have been done to write this wrong. My personal information was shared on 2 occasions with men which could potentially put my life at risk. What If they follow me home and I get assaulted or raped? This is pretty scary! I paid for a membership that I couldn't use because I feared for my safety. I feel extremely violated that my information was given out to strangers. I also have a friend who is scared to workout there because a male worker followers her around the gym. He searched her private information on the system and messaged her over social media. Nothing is being done to protect their customers personal information...which makes me worry even more because they have also access to our bank accounts!

I had asked about hiring a personal trainer or other professional help for my health. No one was offered or recommended to me. I tore my rotator cuff when one of the stair climbers failed. No one checked on me, even though I know people saw me, as a customer came up to ask about me. I reported the injury and no one cared. They offered me an ice pack and wished me well. They did recommend that I see my doctor or go to emergency if I was in severe pain. No one offered to follow up or otherwise. No one from the club called me to see if I was injured or if I needed any modified exercises after my injury at the club. I knew we signed a disclaimer but this is heartless. I may be permanently disabled because of their faulty equipment. At the very least, I will be left with the inability to do my chosen career to my full ability. Thank you for absolutely nothing. I will never choose or recommend this gym to anyone. I will be canceling my membership.

I went to suspend my membership because we are still going through a pandemic, just to hear that I have been charged this month for the monthly fee and annual fee without any notifications whatsoever about charges starting up again. I was sent an email at the beginning of the pandemic that I will be notified about payments starting up again and nothing. I explained on the phone with the employee that the money they have taken from me was diabetic supply money and that I strongly need a refund. He pretty much told me he cant give it back. Now I'm in a uncomfortable financial situation, thanks planet fitness, you have convinced me to work out at home for now on.

The experience of working out in the gym has been good. However, disappointed in the customer service by the manager today. I went in about 5 days ago to demote my membership to the basic. Turns out it never went through. And the manager didn't at the very least apologize for this membership change not even going through, and that worker ultimately wasting my time. I asked what he suggested we should do, and he said he didn't know. It's just disappointing and annoying. Was going to pause my membership, now I'm thinking I'll cancel it and go elsewhere.

I'd like it more if it wasn't always so packed. The gym has an impressive amount of treadmills and machines of the like, but if you go in peak hours you're going to be hard pressed to get on, without much of a wait. Outside of this they do offer a great selection of services including tanning, massage beds, classes, and a full selection of machines and workout benches. Definitely worth the membership.

I go to planet fitness about three to four times a week. well the equipment is all in great shape and the gym is huge and often easy to get the machine you want, there's a lack of free weights. I understand that this isn't a hardcore gym but believe they could still have some more options. the biggest thing keeping us from being a five-star is the men's shower has the water pressure of a kitten slowly drooling over a can of tuna. *******They fixed the showers!

I had a concern about my membership that was taken care of by Viki right away .., My experience so far at Planet Fitness has been a good one . I feel comfortable when I am there and for myself there is everything that I need for my training. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean.The staff that I have dealt with are great and are quick to help you in any way.. The locker rooms are snug but sufficient. The Hydro beds are a great way to end a workout although it would be nice if when not busy they can add an extra couple of minutes on but a quick solution would be is to ask for another session when finished.. As far as Bill "The Trainer" He should learn how to Listen to concerns and answer any questions we may have without showing loss of interest because hes not doing the talking. I have been to other gyms here in Kingston and I feel a lot more comfortable working out here.

1. Cheap! Used to go to another gym in town for 3 times the price (and that was discounted). They aren't open 24/7, but I didn't really use that at the other gym anyways. 2. Size. There is lots of space and equipment (especially with cardio equipment) so, I never really have to wait for anything. The free weight section could stand to be bigger, though. 4. Diverse. Diversity in the staff and in the clientele--which I love. 3. Safe. They follow rules and regulations whereas my last gym did not. I had to stop going because I didn't feel safe.

Love the spaciousness of the Garden City facility. Chris was excellent with my Orientation and Jay the instructor for Core and Circuit was excellent also. The hydro massage beds are so relaxing. The change/washrooms/showers are amazingly clean. An excellent gym to workout.

I love how cheap the memberships are here. My only issue though is the total body capsules(the only thing that I come here for) lamps are always burnt out so I don't feel like I'm getting a complete body coverage. I want all the bulbs to work I don't mind 1 or 2 ( at the most) burnt out but when there are 7 or 8 I'm not happy!

I have been a member for over two years. The facility is nice, staff are accommodating and the price point cannot be beaten. That said, there does not appear to be a maintenance schedule for the equipment. I have never seen machines being worked on (as I have always seen in previous gyms) and today was a new record ... I had to switch my workout from 6 different elliptical machines as they would run for 2-3 minutes then reset. I reported to the staff but honestly do not expect any resolution. Very frustrating ...

Unprofessional, rude and grumpy front desk staff on Wednesday mornings at 7.30am. Saying things like 'I can't read your mind dear' and the employee has the audacity to roll her eyes at me. No CSR in a professional setting would ever say or do that. All of this because I accidentally signed the wrong sign-up sheet but there was no service or courtesy expressed towards the client. If employees do not like their job they should find another one. This location needs a refresher on customer service. Go to the Napanee location for better customer service

Easy to get membership and lots of info of when and how to quit (now with email notification of form processed so you know right away if they did or not) Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Locker rooms were clean - lots of lockers. Equipment was organized and as its xovid time, every other machine blocked off from use.

First time being there tonight. Was impressed. Lots of machines and free weights. Yet they are still obeying the Covid mandates of social distancing. However, they do force everyone to wear mask even while working out. Not their rules, but the Province. They have a "black card" membership, which gives you some pretty cool perks, such as being able to use any Planet Fitness worldwide and free use of their tanning beds/standing units. Best of all is the price, especially compared to other gyms.

Very poor customer service. I had been a loyal member for more than a year and wanted to cancel the membership. My friend dropped off the cancelation letter as I was out of country and a guy said they will cancel the membership right away and it hasn't been canceled even after 8 months . I followed up a few times . Noone mentioned that we have to submit the cancelation request through canada post and after 8 months I saw the membership fees withdrawal again in August and I reached out to them again and now they are saying that we had to send it via Canada post . I will never join this gym again and will never recommend this gym to anyone .

Great value for money gym. Loads of machines (treadmills, elliptical, good number of bikes and 6 or so stair climbers. Good array of strength machines and a resonable selection of free weights. The change area is small, men's gets crowded. Showers are limited - 3 regular and one disabled friendly (not sure about wheelchair access - best to call). The cleanliness of the gym is a 7, not the worst but it not better than a 7. Note: they do not have instructor led classes. No big deal for some but if classes are your thing - PF may not do it for you

I went to planet fitness when it opened as I had just moved to kamloops and was looking for a new gym. I was not impressed with the lack of selection for equipment, especially for the size of the facility. The prices are good but you get what you pay for. The whole vibe is very cookie cutter and I almost felt shamed or uncomfortable for being in shape and healthy. They feel very anti-gym and anti-fitness for a fitness facility. The muscle shaming and the fitness shaming was too much for me.

The Black Card membership is worth it and its really nice to have it as you can bring anyone willing to come with you. Plus they cant really make the excuse of not having a membership or they dont have the money to have one. The gym also follows covid protocols and most if not all gym goers do actually sanitize their equipment after they use it. The gym is also clean.

No one should go here and expect a grungy garage gym. It's targeted toward the average person as a "judgement free zone". The one in Kamloops is huge and really all sorts of people go of all ages and fitness levels. They do lack a few machines and their free weight section is small for the size of the gym. Staff is friendly. The intimidation factor here is negligible. For $10 a month, you're basically working out for free.

Very pleasantly surprised. The place is huge and there is an extensive collection of equipment, so you're not likely to be bothered by too many people, although I have yet to see it at its busiest time so that might change. The basic membership is great (around 10$/month), the changing rooms are massive and feel very luxe, everything is well-lit and inviting, music isn't too loud, and there is a nice well-rounded inclusive policy, which is not necessarily the case in gyms. Extremely clean as well, and the personnel I've seen so far is professional, pleasant and accomodating, and there are options to have a guest come with you if you're a member, and there also is a drop-in rate (although a bit steep). Had the chance to be near a training session that started as I was doing my workout and had no bad things to say. Trainer was fun, motivating and personable which is nice at 7:00 am in the morning. All in all, based on my experience so far, it's been great all around.

The most affordable gym in Kamloops. As it's still new therefore the workout machines and dumbbells are in great shape. At times it gets crowded but with such large variety you should not be facing any difficulty in between your sets. Moreover if you take the black card membership you get free tanning and massage ???? and that's just $22 a month. $10 is the cheapest deal you can avail here, highly recommended for students who are on a strict budget.

Planet Fitness is an awesome gym. They have tanning, red light therapy and hydromassage. The only thing that is bad is that we are not allowed to use the lockers in the change rooms. We have to cram 60 people into an area that has 30 lockers the that are not big enough to put your jacket and bag in one, so you have to use two lockers. What about social distancing, that is the spot where there is NONE.... Go figure.

The place is very well maintained. The staff do not know everything but are willing to look into any questions they don't have answers to. They do help with what they're well versed in. They're very friendly. And stick to the covid policies. The gym is very clean. Though in times out of covid, I imagine the place will be very very crowded. The prices are low. And other customers seem to keep to themselves or are very helpful. It's an environment that I would suggest if you are starting out with fitness. No judgements. Everytime I see other's trying to better themselves I get inspired. Would recommend.

I would have given this more likes before COVID hit, but have to say that their option to cancel a membership is to go in-person or mail a letter. However, I could not find guidelines on what was necessary to submit if I did it by mail, and I didn't want to be in public more than I absolutely needed to. I just feel they make it more complicated to deter you away from cancelling.

Very disappointed in the way planet fitness staff approached my boyfriend and I today. It was my second day at planet fitness after finally working up the confidence to go, a staff member asked us to leave in the middle of a workout as my boyfriend was wearing open toed footwear. He could have advised us of the rule to wear proper footwear for the next time instead of rudely telling us to leave immediately mid workout. We have canceled our memberships and will not be returning.
