Reviews of Holiday Inn & Suites Grande Prairie-Conference Ctr, an IHG Hotel (Spa)

This was my first business trip since March 2020. I was a bit nervous but with the protocols in place it was very apparent that was going to be safe. Thank you.

I travel to Grande Prairie regularly for business and this is my favorite hotel. Hotel is always well maintained and clean. Great staff who always make you feel like your business is appreciated.

Clean room nice staff

I come to GP every other month and of course stay at the Holday Inn & Suites. The rooms are clean and bright. The breakfast is decent as well. The restaurant has a great selection of food. The BBQ burger is huge and delicious! The pool and hot tub is extremely relaxing, especially with the covid protocol of booking your time and having the whole space to yourself. Overall I always have an enjoyable stay when I am here. The only con I have is prior to Covid, I remember the tv package had a larger selection of channels. I understand the need to find cost saving options, especially during covid and the financial stress that causes. But as someone who ends up spending a couple hours in the hotel room every night. I wish we still had access to a greater selection of tv channels. That, or I wish we had the option to cast from our devices to the TVs.

Van Life

Staff are friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. Very safe and follow Covid rules. In the restaurant the server is friendly as well and very honest. Left my car keys and track me down to return them. I love this place!

I liked the seamless check out process that has been newly implemented.

The best sleep I've ever had. I usually sleep on a bed of rocks. But the king size bed was just perfect for my back.

Room was nice but tile floors are very slippery. If wearing socks you will slip. I recommend getting non slip coating. Also screws where sticking out of bottom on the bed and I cut my foot on them. Other than that stay was fine, and clean.

I enjoyed my stay here. No complaints. Staff are friendly and the rooms appear newly renovated which is something I look for when booking a hotel room.

I always stay at this hotel in GP. The staff are friendly, the lobby is clean, the bathroom in the room are modern and in excellent shape I will always stay at this hotel.

We were put in a handicap room with a worn out bed. We are not handicapped. The hotel was not busy due to COVID 19 but yet the hotel staff chose to put a very noisy family with children in the adjoining room to ours. We were in town for my mother’s funeral, so not being able to have a good nights sleep was unacceptable.

Great place to stay and great meeting rooms too

I've stayed at a holiday inn over 200 nights this year and this was the worst front desk service I've ever had. Incredibly rude and incompetent. Didn't know how to direct bill my company so tried to charge my credit card. Was insulting and obnoxious. Refused to let me check in even though I had already paid. Had to go to a different holiday inn near by where the service was much better. I'm so frustrated and disappointed. She should be fired

My default spot to stay when in Grande Prairie. I have been coming here for years and have always had a good experience. It's centrally located in the city so it's easy to get around. Lots of dining and facilities close by. The entire facility was renovated a couple of years back so it's modern and clean. Also located fairly close to the airport.

My only real complaint was the beds mattress was too soft, every movement by my wife was transmitted.

I was very pleased, very happy I chose to stay here. Recommend to others for sure

So disappointed. It’s -30C when I checked in and nobody informed me that they have an underground parking. It’s not only the good service that makes a hotel great but also compassion and care… I’ll leave the rest for you to make your own opinion…

I went to a conference and choose this hotel because I always had a great experience with Holiday Inn. I wasn't disappointed.

It's one of the best hotel in area. Rooms are big and clean. Staff is very friendly and polite. Bed is comfortable for good night sleep. Only thing I miss here is the hot free breakfast!

I had the most easy check in at this holiday inn. Jenny was super friendly and let my family know where all the best local food and attractions! It was my first time in grande prairie. What amaze me the most is when I forgot my wallet at the front desk, Jenny called me right away! The room was clean and breakfast was good. I would definitely come back to this holiday inn for my next business visit!
