I booked in this past Saturday and went for what I thought would be a quick, nice nail appointment. Well, first of the guy had only two months experience and tried to build up two of my nails with acrylic, which did not work, so those had to be soaked off. I ended up having tips put on two nails as the rest were grown out. I also had asked for gel nails and when I asked second time was still given acrylic nails. The man filed my nails with a dremel type tool and ended up cutting my cuticles 9 times!! It burns to wash my hands now. :( The nails were also very, very thick around the edges and so uncomfortable I was picking the extra out from under my nails when he took a phone call. The nails are not uniform, several are rounded when they should be squared with rounded corners and my left thumbnail is crooked. He also forgot to put a tip on my left index fingernail , so the right index fingernail had to be filed down to match the length of the left. Since he had already put on the acrylic base at this point I was told I could come back and get the tip done free next time. No thanks! He had to leave so I was put with another lady who spoke very little English and did not understand my request to file the thickness on the sides down. Another man had to translate. She then proceeded to try to correct my nails, but I found it was too little too late. I get gel top coats with Shellac regularly at a place in Saint John and never have my nails looked like this. So much for getting my nails done away from home. Never again! My nails are thick, badly shaped and not at all how I like them. What should have been at the most a 45-60 minute nail appointment, took 2.5hrs!!!! I was so stiff by the end of the appointment, I could hardly move. I have never had such a long appointment or such poorly done nails. I was also charged an extra $15 to have two badly drawn feathers put on each thumb nail and a small gem on each thumbnail. What should have cost $25 (they had a sale on), ended up being $40. My best-friend also had a french manicure with acrylic tips and is not impressed either. Her tips are not even in colour and she has 7 cuts on her cuticles from the dremel tool. Neither of us will ever go back to this shop. Save your money and go somewhere else! BUYER BEWARE!!!
Diamond Nails has great staff and wonderful service! Thank you for all your time and hard work, Fredericton is lucky to have your affordable nail salon here! Keep up the good work????
My shellac pedicure was done well but I had to switch the lamp myself and was asked by an employee to do so. As someone in the beauty industry, I find it really unprofessional when I’m paying for a service to have to complete said service myself. It’s like asking my client to blow dry her own hair. And as a customer who is six months pregnant, bending down to switch the lamps was very uncomfortable.
People were friendly and my nails turned out great but it took a very long time since they were squeezing people in where they could (we were walk-ins so maybe that's why). We just wanted normal manicures but they automatically did shellac which was double the price and didn't tell us until after. They did turn out great and are still like new after over a week of being outside and active all day so the price was great for what I got. They just should have mentioned it first.
Great customer service!
Perfect nails service I’ve ever had today. My nails are so incredible after done. Especially they have just switched into state-of-the-art pedicure chairs. Highly recommend this salon.
Absolutely love going here for my gels. $55 and they look lovely each time! Picture attached of my latest color change and fill!
Cindy is amazing and their prices are really great
Garbage. If you ask for gel nails they use Acrylic nails with a cheap gel topcoat. Beware people, these people are defrauding the public! They are charging you Gel nail prices for a cheaper Acrylic set!
Great service!! ❤
Cash only place
I was iffy at first because of the negative reviews, I almost didn’t get my nails done here, but I got long coffin nails and they did an amazing job!!!!! 10/10
Quick, clean and efficient job at removing nails. Good prices and staff provided me with useful advice on maintaining acrylic nails.
Before I went there, I read the only 2 reviews that were bad and thought I'd give this place a try anyway. Wow. So very rude. Racist almost. They do not listen and they are extremely impolite. Do not go to this nail salon unless you are prepared to fore-go any expectation of customer service.
I find the pricing, service and quality to be amazing!
Efficient staff and fantastic massage chairs while having a pedicure.
Loved it the best place to go to get your nails done they're very polite and you'll have an amazing time
Never had my nails done before and I went to diamond nails, they were quite rude to me and was really rough. My nails weren't on straight and the shellac was very sloppy. I will not go back, especially after I heard of someone losing a nail due to infection after the equipment not being properly cleaned.
My mom and I were in today to have a spa pedicure and shellac manicure, and we will definitely be coming back! The ladies did an absolutely beautiful job and were very sweet and kind! :)
I went with a friend and her toenails were very pretty!
Visited Diamond nail salon last week for a quick fix on my solar nails. I just needed them shortened. Terrific experience! Awesome price $10. Very friendly and newly experienced staff. Although their first language is not English we communicated smoothly about culture and travelling abroad. The salon/spa has a very relaxing and sanitary atmosphere. Prices very comparable to others. Would highly recommend! Yesterday, I returned --- Love love love my nails and thank you for going "above and beyond." I have been there a few times in the past and I was disappointed with the previous customer service, but I discovered they are under new management. I was given excellent customer service and close attention to detail. All my questions and concerns regards my gel nail fill were answered. Prices are so low with a walk in special compared to most of Canada and Australia (my home). I walked out of there confident with my nails. I received several compliments. They are raising the bar for any nail salon competitor. If you have not gone and are looking for a place - try the Diamond nail spa out, you will not be disappointed. Jen ????
The place is small, but it was tidy, which is a plus. The staff was friendly, also a plus. Downside: they only take cash, the polish does not last long (I was chipping after 3 days, whereas past pedicures from other places last for weeks on me). Also, though the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. There were other clients in there who clearly did not have appointments (I did!) and they were serviced before I was. Also, they got their eyebrows waxed and were told to lay down on a couch to have it down...I found it odd they had no private room to use. Given that it costs $30 for a pedi, and the massage chairs DON'T work (major down side), I won't be going back.
Was very disappointed with Diamond Nails today. Booked over one week ago. This was supposed to be for my daughter, granddaughter, friend of my granddaughter Maggie and myself. We arrived on time. Was told they received a call from us saying we canceled. She could only take 1 at a time. Didn't make sense. .. and the person giving the pedicure was about to start a new client. We had planned our day to spend 1 hr or so there then other activities. So we let the girls go first and came back 40 minutes later as told and the girls where half done. I had my pedicure. (Which was great by the way!) And waited another hour for my daughter to get her nails done. My granddaughter had asked to have a design on it. She was rushing to finish and she put the last coat and forgot her design. To late she said. That didn't impress me. Not like we do this every month. This was to celebrate my granddaughter for accomplishing so much this year in school and for getting an amazing school report. Very proud of her. So, would I go back? Honestly, the pedicure was great. The nails look good. But felt very disappointed with her story of the phone call. Request a discount and said no. Not the owners. I probably won't. Would I recommend this place? I rather you make your own decision on this. I'm still sour at the moment.
I made an appointment yesterday for today for a pedicure and acrylic fill. I hoped to get a morning appointment but they were unable to accommodate that and I took a 2:00pm time. I arrived about 10 minutes early. It was just under 3 hours before I was finished! They had several walk-ins which were taken while I sat and waited in between the pedicure and manicure and even then I had to wait between from step one to step two of the fill procedure while they worked with another 'walk-in'. I would think someone with an appointment would take priority over a 'walk-in'. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Unfortunately I do have to give it a 'star' in order to post.
It was garbage the man didn't kno what he was doing. Didn't take or buff the old gel off... Nails aren't straight or even with the other hand.. It took 2.5 hours... And I had to ask the woman to take over to put the gel on my nails because he wasn't doing it right and that was so thick I can't do anything. I have been getting my nails done since I was 12 in 30 and this was the worst experience I ever uncountered... I think all the nail technician there need an updated course
I went here and they had really good service they were super nice and I booked an appointment online and didn’t have to wait at all! I got a full set of white acrylics for 55$
I find that if the owner does my manicure then it lasts for a few weeks as she seems to take her time and does a good job. However if the man does the manicure I am lucky if it lasts a week as he always seems to rush even when there are no customers waiting.
Positives: Walk-ins welcomed, friendly service, comfortable massage chairs, and Cindy gave me one of the best French manicures I've had, using a brush other than the nail brush. I'm happy with my manicure and pedicure and would definitely return. Only downsides: cash only, and price quoted was $5 less than charged. Overall, excellent quality at a better price than many local nail salons.
I've driven 3 hrs round trip twice now (from Maine, USA) for manicures by Cindy & Simon and I'll continue to do so! They do awesome work and are so gentle and thorough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Awesome
Was there yesterday to get my nails done been there many times before and had great results but yesterday I have the red sparkle tips done for my sister's wedding tomorrow and when I was done I walked out looked at my nails and they where very cloudy and almost white where the red is suppose to be i went back and the woman said only they just need to be cleaned off again so she did that and I left and they where the same no better so I called her and she said that's the way they are supposed to look and I told her she was wrong because I have had them done many times before N this time they look horrible and she didn't i asked to come back inn and to get fixed and she keep refusing and keep saying I worked on your nails before and I told her yes I know but today I'm not happy with the looks of them and I paid $45 plus a $5 tip I should be happy with the results and I'm not. Needless to say I won't be back cause it takes a bad worm to ruin it. I know some ppl have a bad day but own up to your mistake
I was very happy with the service and the outcome of my acrylic nails, although they were crooked on most of my fingers. Not trying to be rude at all I'm just a little upset that I was told they last 3 weeks and they are chipping and breaking off on all of my nails and I have only had them for a week and a half. $45 down the drain, would like a new set for free, or a refund.
I had a set of acrylics put on here on a holiday from manitoba. the service was great, but my acrylics are terrible quality. I’ve had them for less than a week and they are lifting off at the base of my nail beds. I could pull them off with ease if i tried. Two of them broke while doing simple every day tasks (typing and opening a box of cereal). They were shaped terribly and are terrible quality. I would pay $20 dollars at most for them when i actually paid $50. It sucks, the service was amazing but the quality is the worst i’ve ever had. (i’ve neen getting my nails done for three years)
Absolutely love Cindy and Simon at Diamond Nails. Beautiful manicure and pedicures and GREAT customer service ????
I remember the first time I got my nails done. I was very pleased. That was 2 years ago. Since then i always go there to get my acrylic nails done!!! Best place ive ever been.
Nails fell off in less than a week
Worst nails I’ve ever had ruined all the cuticles for me and my daughter last just two days each paid $45 not a good experience
Was great!
The staff were so nice and do an amazing job! Thank you!
Always do an excellent job. My toes love going to Diamond Nails. So friendly and fast.
Great place for manicures & pedicures. However, a bit TOO expensive for what you get!
My daughter and I went in wanting acrylic nails done, but after getting in the chair they seemed to only want to put shellac on her nails. I asked a few times if there were going to be tips (as this is what we had asked for and what they said they would do before we agreed to sit down) they said no, so I asked to have gel polish on her nails instead to last longer and give her a more professional treatment as this is what we were looking for. The owner then seemed upset and said it would now cost $30 instead of the original $15. As we sat getting our nails underway a couple of scheduled appts walked in (they had not mentioned to us that we could not get an appt even tho they had scheduled appts coming up. I would have gladly come back at a better time has they), that seemed to throw things over the top. Everything became a rushed/poor job with rough handling. They had one lady walk out who was a scheduled appt, because they asked her to chip off her nail polish herself after soaking and then walk down the hall in the mall to the washroom to wash her hands....so she waked out stating she has arthritis and that is why she wanted some ELSE to do her nails. To top it all off, when we were both done, the price of my daughter's nails were now $35 (from $15, then $30....) And mine were also $35 instead of $30 like on the sign.... Safe to say we will not ever be returning. I'm more upset that we had such a bad experience more than being overcharged, because I do not treat myself often at all and my daughter and I really wanted a fun and positive experience together.
The staff are efficient and well trained - would recommend a visit!
