I try not to be particular about my hair because I have been taught that people with hair like mine cannot be picky. I am older, the hairs on my scalp are fewer and the gage of the hairs themselves are finer and there is not a lick of curl or any characteristic of the hair that gives it volume or body. It is poker straight and it is totally the cut that I wear. I WEAR THE CUT NOT THE STYLE. Hair with distinction needs the laser level that cuts through space in distinct planes. The under hair under the bottom layer is the exact same length as the hair on the top. The. hair under the hair on top needs to give lift and it needs to give the boxy look that defines right, left, top and bottom. I have a love of a BOB that is a BLUNT and FLAT. The cut I love is out of the movies and here is. It has no layers but rather it has lines. The hair under the top layer is the exact same length as the hair on the top. It is a chop cut and it is a cut that needs a master. It takes someone that is confident and willing to take risks. It has taken a couple of cuts for us to get what I want just and absolutely dead right and she remembers who I am and where we left off. In Nanaimo I paid a fortune four times a year for a man that could cut a BOB and I had lost hope. She is the reason that I love McMurray and know now that I can sit down and relax as she cuts my hair.

Amy and the rest of the staff are awesome! Got a great haircut and highlights. Took their time, was an excellent experience overall. Likely have gained a lifelong customer.

Went in today to grab some hair color to do it myself. I asked the Women in-charge some questions about application, she went above and beyond to explain to me how to do it right. She was so nice and so helpful, will 100% be going back to this establishment.

Called and asked if they do men's waxing for full legs and back. They said they did so I made an appointment. After the back I was told that they only do half leg for men and if I would be okay with that. I don't want to look like a troll. Either whole thing or no legs. So they said that they can't do it. Wasted my time when I could've gone to another place that actually does it ! If you say you do men's waxing, do it. I didn't ask to get my private parts waxed. I simply wanted legs. The level of discomfort and embarrassment I felt was ridiculous. Never going back there ! As for the lady, forgive me for showing some leg. I didn't realize it offended you so much.

Horrible experience!! I go and get my eyebrows done here all the time and they usually do a good job (keep in mind it's the same girl every time) However I went today and it was a different girl, I decided to give her a chance I asked her to "clean up my eyebrows but keep them thick" (my eyebrows are super thick too!) During the experience it was taking way longer then expected... i should have looked in the mirror half way through. However I did not. Anyways at the end I started to cry looking at my eyebrows! I literally had Nike check marks! She took all of them off! I'm still in shock!! And they were so uneven! I'm telling you don't go here!! Trust me worst experience and I will not be returning!!

Amazing service!! The staff are so friendly and have passion 4 what they do!! I starting going for eyebrow threading then went 2 Amy for hair and never looked back. I was hooked! This place rocks!! Amy has such an amazing talent and takes pride in her work!! I am always pleased with my hair!! She knows all of the latest products and will always offer you great advice about all your hair dilemmas!! :) Noone gets me the fabulous blonde I want other than her:))

The first place to ever get my eyebrows right! The lady who threaded my eyebrows did an excellent job and because I hadn't completely grown in my eyebrows (I've had horrible brows for years) she filled them in to show me where i needed to let my eyebrows grow in. I have weird eyebrows and they managed to make my eyebrows look amazing. No more bang cuts to hide my eyebrows (no joking that's how bad they were) And all for the grand price of 18$ apparently a threading usually lasts you 2-3 weeks depending on how long it takes you to grow them out. so for 18$ lets say every 2 weeks you get amazing eyebrows (Yes! it really makes a huge difference to your overall appearance)
