Koala Tan is the best in the GTA. They have a variety of beds to try, sun and sunless tanning options and lotions galore. Monthly packages give you the most bang for your buck and the bulbs are consistently changed out. I've never had a darker tan prior to beginning a client here and it was by far the best decision I've made.

I already posted a review but would like to edit /update after many years of coming here as its so well deserved. The girls that work here are *amazing*. My experience has always been with Vaida and Vanessa. They are soo professional, extremely pleasant, mature, informative and knowledgeable. They take care of the place and customers as if it were their own (which is what I initially assumed). Everything is always *exceptionally* clean and they are always efficient. The owner as well is incredibly pleasant, appreciative of his customers and has such a wonderful energy. When you walk in there, he/ they treat you as if you were their very first customer- like that energy and aura never wore off. You are sure to leave here at least just a little bit better than you arrived. Ive never had an average experience. They also have fantastic super-pro beds and change the bulbs regularly -everything has always runs top-notch that I have used. They also carry tons of fantastic quality lotion selections and must-have products like nail protectors, face protection and teeth whitening. They also do machine operated spray tans which I heard are fantastic at this place. One of my favourite places by far and as a long-time customer, I sincerely appreciate all their efforts and exceptional customer service????????

I've been coming to Koala Tan for more than a year now and it is safe to say that it is one of the best in the area. I had just come back from my vacation last year and was in need of a spray tan after a month or so as my tan was fading. I had never gone to a tanning salon before and was a bit anxious as it was all new to me, however in a matter of time I converted to the tanning beds. The staff were and continue to be polite, highly knowledgable, genuine, and most importantly willing to respond to all of my needs and questions anytime. Specifically, Vaida and Aida should be exceptionally accredited. Not to mention the salon is fully equipped with top notch technology, very sanitary, and the prices are affordable! I would definitely recommend Koala Tan to anybody in need of wonderful service and results. Thank you Koala Tan team. Your work is highly appreciated!

Clean Place, Big, lots of parking, Staff seems knowledgeable, beds are great! bulbs actually get changed often here you actually feel like you have tanned! Unlike some other places in Etobicoke. This place is 5 star. I love how I didn't have to wait for a bed either. Definitely worth the drive. Will be a returning customer.

CleanEST tanning salon I've ever been too, friendly & knowledgeable staff, strong and large QUALITY beds, better RESULTS than anywhere else in North America!! I've continuously used Koala Tan over the past 4 years due to the great results and the huge difference their beds have made in controlling my Eczema. Often times I've visit salons where the beds are too small, unclean, and the results are frustrating. You wont have those issues here. At Koala Tan, their high standards and excellent results will keep you coming back. I would recommend the trip even if its a few minutes out of your way, worth the investment.

This is by far the best tanning salon I have ever been to. I come from downtown just for the staff, the beds and the amazing service. I read one review that was bad and oddly enough I was there three weeks ago when this happened. I was the client in front of Lana smiles. That is NOT what happened. The poor lady at the front was so busy and trying to accommodate everyone when the lady behind me started yelling at her. Supposedly she didn’t say hello, which if you have ever been here you know that’s false. Whoever the lady was behind me proceeded to yell and scream literally over nothing. The salon deserves 5 stars for not kicking her out and remaining cool throughout the whole ordeal. This place is amazing. Will continue to come here. Don’t let the bad review fool you, that’s not what happened and the staff is amazing.

I've been going to Koala Tan for many years now and I can honestly say it is one of the most genuinely amazing tanning businesses I have ever experienced. I've been to multiple other tanning locations, but nothing compares to the cleanliness, professionalism and atmosphere of Koala Tan on Islington. Not only are their staff upbeat and friendly and recognize you by name, but the beds are top of the line and you get your moneys worth. They are extremely clean and easily located in the Islington plaza right by the No Frills. The staff are knowledgeable about the products they offer and it's an all around great place to go if you are looking for a beautiful, glowing tan. I have gotten comments by other people who have asked if I've gone away because my skin glows from a healthy, natural looking tan, unlike some other places that can leave you looking orange. Great service! The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I went for a spray tan and was extremely happy with my results! They were great at recommending the best shade for my skin tone. I’ve had issues at other salons with the tan fading extremely uneven and patchy which is not the most pleasant but I didn’t have that issue at all! By far the best spray tan I’ve ever had!

When my original tanning salon closed down I thought I'd never find another salon. Boy was I wrong, thankfully. I came to Koala Tan and wondered why I had never come here earlier?! I've been tanning for over 30 years and used to massage a salon in downtown Toronto, do trust me, I know salons. This place has amazing beds, is incredibly clean and they have the most wonderful staff. From the owners to part timers, everyone is SO friendly and helpful. Three of my friends tried it and they're regular customers too, now! Do yourself a favor and just come once, like I did, you'll be hooked, just like I am!

Being new to the tanning world, I was looking for a place that would be very informative and helpful. I went into a couple places, one place the girl told me to just read the board and pick what I wanted, and the other place looked dirty just from walking into the lobby, needless to say I walked out of both places. Finally I came across Koala Tanning, right away when I walked in the guy at the desk asked me if I never ever done this before. He explained to me how everything works and even took me into the rooms so see the different beds before I started. He answered all the questions I had and was very friendly. They also had an amazing promotion package going on for first time users. The place is super clean and has a variety of different types of tanning beds you can choose from. It is very reasonably priced as well. I will defiantly continue going here and rate them a 10/10. If you are looking for a tanning salon I would highly recommend coming here!

This salon deserves a 10 star! This is by far the BEST tanning salon I’ve ever been to! BEDS-the absolute best beds I’ve ever tried! I’ve been tanning here for a month and got a color just after a few days… but not just any color, I’ve never gotten this dark and I don’t even use their “best” bed! The beds are so powerful and modern! CLEANLINESS-amazingly clean and nicely decorated! I haven’t been in a nicer looking salon! The one time I came out of my room and Serge the owner was cleaning a room and I saw him on his knees literally cleaning THE ENTIRE bed from top to bottom. As a customer I expect this type of cleanliness but to see that a salon actually does it is amazing and reaffirming! PRICE- The only I guess you can say negative I’ve read in reviews before going to the salon was that the pricing was a little high. However I have to disagree! I’ve gone to several salons and always get a monthly unlimited membership. Almost every salon has cost around the same, $90. I got the level 3 package which is this price and yet their beds surpass every other bed I’ve tried so I think the prices are very fair for the quality and service you get! The salon also offered a free week of tanning for new members … I haven’t seen salons offering this now-a-days so it was a really nice touch to try out the beds and know which one I liked the best. SERVICE-AMAZING service! From the moment you walk in to when you leave! Everyone is so friendly and informative! Serge the owner is SO NICE and professional! They really provide exceptional service; they make you feel valued and are always so happy! HOURS-They truly cater to the customer. Most tanning salons are open until 9pm but this salon is open until 10pm on weekdays and open both days on the weekends!

Today was my first UV tanning session at Koala Tan. I'm from Vancouver and frequently use tanning beds when I'm there, so I would say I'm quite confident in my choices of which tanning salon to try when I'm out of town. Which tanning beds a salon carries greatly influences my choice. I took the chance to try Koala Tan, and I'm very glad I did. I was very impressed with the equipment - it was up to date, clean, and in good condition. There were several different options to choose from, to appeal to different people's skin types and for whether you're looking to build a base tan, or get quick color. I was also pleasantly surprised when I needed to buy tanning goggles, but was offered a complimentary pair to borrow instead - which apparently is standard to do at Koala Tan. (They thoroughly clean them after each use.) They have an incredible first time client introductory offer that I have yet to see anywhere else, and their pricing in general is fair compared to other salons. Overall, al though there are other salons closer to where I'm located, I will gladly make the longer trip here because it's evident in the products and services provided, that they actively seek to have customers return, and value the quality of their clientele, rather than the quantity, and rather than profiting and over-selling from one session. I highly recommend this place!

Been here 3 times this week, since first visit on Monday. Very friendly and super helpful. I hate burning as it makes tanning less effective, they were very knowledgeable on this and offered advice on beds amd times etc. Super clean!! All the beds look brand new, I've been to some salons that have beds older than me. They even have a spray tan machines, will be trying that out too.

Completely agree with Sawyer a few reviews below. The blonde older woman at the front desk with the rough demeanour was the most unwelcoming, rudest person I've ever encountered at a salon. She made me feel like I came in at the wrong time ( I'm so sorry ) and was acting flustered like the salon was SO over the top busy ( there were 3 people including myself in it, that's busy to you? ) As a potential new customer, I was turned off as soon as I walked in. I ended up walking out and going to another salon that greeted me with incredible customer service instead. Avoid salons run by rude, disrespectful people like this and spend your money at salons where people know how to provide warm, excellent customer service instead. Don't waste your time here like I did.

This is one of the best salon's I've ever tanned at. The beds are top of the line. The bulbs are changed on a regular basis. The staff go over the top for clients. They are well educated & certified. The salon is a clean freaks haven, you could eat off the floor. There are many different packages available along with non uv tanning. So if you need a quick fix for a Friday night, pop in for a spray tan. I get compliments on my tan all the time, even from the staff. The hours are awesome and tons of free parking. If you need a tan, please do check them out, you won't regret it.
