This is way overdue but I am finally getting to it! Rung Thai is absolutely amazing! Book them now!! Like no hesitation, you will be so happy! When we reached Rung's, we were warmly welcomed with a quick orange peel foot bath and a change of clothes. As soon as they ushered us into the massage room, I noticed they had a portable ac/ unit going at full blast. It was awesome. Second thing of note, they are compassionate. My massage therapist was also incredibly intuitive and caring throughout the session. She also checked in with me about pressure just the right amount of times. Thai massage is different from other forms of massage as they do all the usual pressure work but also literally gently maneuver your body into yoga poses and stretches. Upon exiting the massage room, the ladies were just as kind and provided us with our choice of hot ginger tea or water with fruit. We thanked them and chatted with Rung for a bit. She has been in business for quite some time. She really has created a calming little oasis with wonderful staff. And the kicker, the whole thing was extremely affordable, even after tipping. I swear to god it was the best massage I have ever had. Godspeed weary travelers!

Came there with a neck pain that I had for a week. Doctor just prescribed painkillers. Didn't expect to see a guy there first, but I wasn't diss appointed. He is strong and he knows where to apply force. It was full of pain and the following night I felt like being hit by a truck. The next morning I woke up with no pain at all! This is phenomenal!

I've had massages before and often thought they were too soft, where your can easily fall asleep. That's most definitely not the case here, after I felt extremely loose after having a traditional massage where I think every joint and muscle was stretched. I don't think I'll ever be able to have a normal massage again, this was leagues better.

True Thai Experince in Victoria! Thai massage is a form of intense bodywork. I suggest all athletes or fit people use this place to work out muscle tightness, improve mobility and blood flow. Be warned, this is not a gentle relaxation massage but deep work to realign the body.

I had a wonderful 2 hour thai massage with Cream. She worked out some really deep tissue knots and loosened my extremely tight muscles. The massage I experienced here was better than the massages I received in Thailand. Will definitely be returning! Thai massage can be painful if you have tight muscles. But once its all over, you feel much better and its all worth it. I had extremely bad back pain when I arrived, and left after 2 hours feeling so refreshed and taken care of.

Love it - the only massage place I go to in Victoria. Nice atmosphere, great price and no *mushy mushy* sensitive petting. If you want a soft pat on your back, go to Oak Bay spa or something. If you want some force to really dig into the soar muscles, topped off with a few back twists, this is the place! As a bonus: they do gift certificates which I've used multiple times for birthdays etc - always positive reviews. I don't know where these ladies get the strength to do what they do for an hour+ but they are seriously awesome.

AMAZING! Let me tell you in my life I head probably 30 professionals doing massage, but this was one of the very best experience. I had LUV, the gentle man, and usually my issue is that not many people can keep me at the right edge when they dissolve muscle cramps but I am still under pain. Nah, that is a way different level, when you are in the pain, but not the body pain, but emotional pain and the massage therapist is working on your body, while you deal with your emotions and let is go and release. Wow, this was way more than body work, and I have travelled to Thailand and ate there food and were in Buddhist temple and swam in their seas and had massage there. But never once had I ever had such a transformation! Even though I was horrified that he would be a man. I highly recommend LUV and the place is immaculately clean. I read the previous reviews, where one was complaining that he does not get females . The staff is beyond respectful. I highly recommend 2 hrs of Thai massage for therapeutic use.

Lovely, friendly staff with a clean and comfortable environment. VERY effective, deep tissue massage and great conversation before, after and during if you're up for it. It is up a steep stairwell that looks a little sketchy but its immaculate inside. Ring the doorbell and you'll get an immediate response. You begin with a foot soak and end with a very nice cup of herbal tea. The atmosphere is warm and all the women seem to take a genuine interest in your wellbeing. They use nice oil too. You choose the intensity of the massage. They check with you frequently, are very aware and can go as deep as you can tolerate. This place does seriously good work and I plan to return frequently.

I waited to write this review hoping my back would recover but I am on day 3 and things are just getting worse. Being in the healthcare profession myself I know how a negative review can affect your business so I am not writing this out of anger. But I feel strongly that individuals with injuries or those working through some old pain need to be warned. I told the lady giving me a massage that I have a really bad back injury from 16 years ago. I don't have pain daily but I have to be careful and can't handle any touching/pressure on my lower back. She ignored that completely and after asking her over and over to please stop touching my lower back she proceeded to twist/stretch/elbow/stand on etc that part of my body. I walked in there with no pain and left barely able to move and things are only getting worse (today I can't turn my head or look down without excruciating pain in my lower back). I have had multiple experienced people give me this type of massage with no issues at all, but this was different. Not only that but (we went as a couple) the two ladies were laughing and chatting to one another the entire time. Everytime they would get into a serious discussion they would basically stop moving or hurt us without noticing/caring. At one point they were literally on the floor facing one another with one hand carelessly reaching back to touch us only slightly moving every minute or so. It was shocking to say the least. The worst part of her being so distracted is that I was just braced for impact the entire time. My palms were sweating as I was anticipating her hurting me where I specifically asked her not to touch. This happened over and over and even with flinching and saying stop she was so busy talking she did not notice. This is a very irresponsible way of practicing.

We are from out of town and I booked this massage for my wife and I for a Valentine's Day gift at Rung's. I booked the couples massage and I actually had the owner and my wife was with a very sweet lady by the name of Tuk Tuk and I hope I am spelling this correctly. The experience here was overwhelmingly fantastic from beginning to end. I wish I could give this business 6 stars as this was really next level as far as quality goes! And we know what we are talking about. Both my wife and I have spent several weeks in Thailand travelling all over the country and we have experienced a lot of massages. You can tell from the first minute that the staff here are incredibly experienced. You will also feel right at home with the kindness that the Thai people are famous for. They have all of the COVIS protocols in place so you can feel assumed that they are doing everything they can to protect you as an appreciated customer during your massage. The rooms are super clean and well decorated. There is a small quiet heater running to make you feel comfortable and soft Thai music lulls you into bliss. The massage was exceptional and seriously worth twice the price. You would not feel anything like this at a Spa Utopia or other "attitude" spa. Put Rung's at the top of your list if you want to treat yourself or that special someone to some pampering. They really are top shelf and Rung herself takes so much pride to make sure you are pleased with your visit.

This place is amazing! The full body Thai massage did wonders for me. I had been suffering from intense pain down the backs of my legs and after a 60 minute session am feeling so much better already. This place is the real deal. My mother was visiting for the day from Vancouver and wanted a massage so we tried this place. The staff were very accommodating and booked us for an appointment after their scheduled hours, which was very kind. My mother and I received massages from Thongsri and Luv, and they were both absolutely amazing. Such kind, welcoming people, who greeted us with warm smiles when we first walked in. Although it was not a typical oil massage that we were used to (they do offer oil massages as well), I found it so much better. They really focussed on our problem areas and spent a lot of time on stretching. We left feeling so much more relaxed and rejuvenated, it was such a great feeling. I would highly recommend this place.

I am frequent visitor until recently. Whenever I call now, the female owner insists that I get my thai massage by the male masseuse. I do not want a massage from a man and have politely communicated this to the owner on more than one occasion. I have always tipped $15-20 each visit, been polite, on time, and well groomed. Unfortunately, I will no longer be visiting Rung's massage as I do not want to be forced to have a massage from male masseuse.
