Okay so I’m giving this place 4.5 starts because everyone is amazing there and they do their job very well EXEPT the new girl. I forgot her name but don’t go with her. I got my legs waxed and she burned me twice. Yesterday I didn’t know my appointment was with her so I went for eyebrows threaded, and she couldn’t do it so she started using the wax. I didn’t care at first but a day later I wake up with BURNS under my eyebrows. Please always check with who your appointment is.

Today I went to do my eyebrows and face wax, the lady who did my brows I told her I didnt do my eyebrows for 7 months , and I dont want them thin, and she thread them very thin , I didnt want to get mad at her or say something but It was my second and last time I went there, the salon is fancy and all but they are not good in doing brows at all.

I've been going to Amber for my lashes for about a year and she is by far the best I've had. I've been doing my lashes for over 15yrs long before they became a thing, My lashes last for 3 weeks and they are healthy. Everyone is friendly and the salon is immaculate. Highly recommend!

I walked in with my anastasia beverly hills shaped brows and explained with pictures how I want to retain my thick brows and dislike thin brows. In one minute she gave me exactly what I had dreaded. Took the majority of my thickness away. I have months of growing to patiently wait for because I was clearly not listened to. She made me look like the one style she does and does not suit my face at all. I can't even fill in her errors because she took all the bottom hairs away that I would fill in above. This was the owner and I cannot even imagine how the rest of them are. I was lucky to be in beverly hills and have my brows styled by the best of the best and this was all ruined. I was shocked and am traumatised by this. Eyebrows make a huge impact on the face and the arrogance of not listening to a client is not acceptable. She even had the nerve to tell me how the brow thickness is too agressive. Funny how anastasia beverly hills doesn't think. I used to get complimented on my brows and now I am resentful looking in the mirror.

She is really nice, she provides a nice service and she is really good at what she is doing. She also have nice staff. However, She doesn't have sinks so you will not be able to wash your hair at her salon.In addition, I find her prices are very expensive compare to others. Also, she took another bride, because I wanted to book her for only one service, only for hair. She usually takes brides who book with her hair and make up. She charges for both services $ 400. Her trials are also expensive at least $100. I called her back for a normal brushing (blow dry), she never called me back. She never got back to me to let me know if I can still book my hair with her for my wedding.

If you want a risk-free, stress-free, worry-free experience for your bridal makeup and hair – absolutely go with Amber! When my fiancé and I chose a wedding date, Amber was the very first vendor I called and booked right away. I had seen her work previously and did not want anybody else but her to do my bridal look for all 3 of my wedding events. Amber’s eye for details is incredible! She knows exactly which looks will work well for you based on your facial features, dress, and events. I've been to Amber's before and have always had good experiences, except for yesterday. I went for a face wax and it was horrible. My face has been badly burnt on both sides as the esthetician did not do it correctly. It's pretty bad and the lady simply said it's redness and will calm down with a face mask. My face is burning!!!! :( :( :(

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel this one is well deserved. While the ladies at Amber's are very nice, when we used them for hair and make-up services for a wedding party, the entire party of 5 had a bad experience. Everyone arrived at least 20 minutes early to the salon before our appointments. The salon was already running an hour behind the actual appointment time. If our party ended up being just an hour late before the wedding, that would have been manageable. However, every single party member was delayed by almost 3 hours. We were supposed to go one after the other. The reason for this was because they chose to take a client who was extremely late and put them ahead of our party with our booked makeup artist instead of another one. This added 1.5 hours to the already 1 hour behind that they were running, meaning the first appointment really started 2 and half hours past time for the first person and then later and later for the subsequent party members. It did not make any sense to take a client before a party of 5 people – who was beyond late for her appointment with another artist because of her own issues – considering it made us all very late, vs. one person who was late of their own accord. That doesn’t even make business sense. Also, our party was booked with one artist – other junior artists could have taken the late client considering it was her fault and our wedding party did nothing wrong. Due to this decision on behalf of Amber’s, our party was not only delayed by a lot before the wedding, but also rushed out – the last two people had a 20 minute makeup application that wasn’t what we paid $100/person for and the application wasn’t even decent. The makeup application usually takes 1 hour. Had this decision not been taken, the make up artist would have done a decent job. It wasn’t fair to our party to have been so ridiculously delayed and had to pay for the consequences of another client being late when she wasn’t even booked with the same makeup artist. Not okay. Would I book Ambers again as a solo client? Sure. For a wedding party or a group of people? No. I wouldn’t suggest it. Being 3 hours delayed for a wedding when you have a lot of responsibilities because the salons time management and decision making leaves something to be desired is a nightmare.

Amber is one beautiful talented woman. I am from Toronto...the last time I visited Montreal for an event, my cousin recommended her to me and I LOVEEED her work. I got so many compliments on my makeup and I didn't wanna take it off at the end of the day. Every time I go to Montreal, she will be on top of the list. Amber's work is great but very unorganized. On the day of my e-shoot she had me waiting in front of her store at 5 am, for more than an hour (thank god it was not my wedding day). She did compensate for the delay with her hair extension (which was $30) but due to the delay, I had missed 1 hour of my photo session with my photographer which I basically lost about $99 plus tax. Also charged my partner the full amount when I have already paid a deposit. I would have not known if my partner did not tell me the entire amount he paid, 2 days later.
