Impressive nail art for a reasonable price! They obviously do great classic manicures but are also some of the best in the city for more elaborate designs. I got stiletto bio gel extensions with negative-space designs once and marbled design done by hand another time. Would highly recommend!

LOUSY JOB & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Frankly speaking, people that gave good reviews to this place haven't tried better, as you can see in the pictures I'm posting the manicure is not clean around the nails, not to mention that some corners where filed rounded and other squares, length of nails not the same and not smoothly filed over all. BESIDES THE LOUSY JOB, I got into an argument with whom I guess was the owner (blond Asian girl) because I went to get a simple manicure shellac, but she kept on telling me that what I currently have on my nails is bio gel, so she wanted to do a refill + manicure shellac. I disagreed that I had bio gel and even called my regular manicurist who is on a vacation to ask if it was bio gel, it wasn't. Instead of listening to what I have to say she kept on telling me that I NEED TO UNDERSTAND that I have bio gel. Logically speaking there's no reason neither for me or my regular manicurist to lie about what was on my nails. However, I decided to do a regular manicure shellac and WOW, what a lousy job (see pictures). Even when I went to pay she kept on telling me very rudely that I need to understand that there was something on my nails that was not shellac, it was simply a thicker coat of shellac base... regardless, I don't have the energy to argue with a stubborn person, so I told her I would like to pay and go (because let's be honest, when you get a lousy job done at a hair or nails salon - all you want to do is pay and get out), she got furious and started yelling at me "EXCUSE ME!!! EXCUSE ME!!" I had to tell her that her customer service is just BAD, she got even more mad and kept on yelling "EXCUSE MEEEEE!" as I'm walking out of the place (obviously after paying) Do not recommend this place at all!

I did my nails there the other day, acrylics to be specific. I really liked them but I had to get them removed. I paid for this service and they weren't removed properly. I made sure I asked the nail technician why am I seeing bubbles on my nails and she told me not to worry about it. It only been 4 days and my nails are all messed up. I can't even get the remaining acrylic powder (solidified) off my nails and it's really frustrating. :( I don't know what to do

I went here a few weeks ago for the first time and got gel polish applied to my real nails + pedicure. The customer service was good all of the girls were super friendly and even made an extra effort of remembering your name and calling you by your name. The polish itself almost went a full 2 weeks without a single chip which left me very impressed. The 3 reasons I will not give 5 stars is because first off I left the salon with a completely different color and look than what I had wanted originally when I walked in because all the girls kept giving their opinions and persuading me to change my mind. I would've liked if they had just let me stick to the original photo I showed them and left with what I wanted. Secondly, I'm sure not every girl is the same but the one who did my pedicure barely did a thing. She "scrubbed" my feet like she was trying to pet a baby chick or something she used absolutely no force, same for the mini massage with the lotion at the end. My feet were looking pretty crusty again just days later. And lastly, there was nowhere to hang my purse and my purse on the ground is a real pet peeve. Otherwise, great place.

Went there for a pedicure and manucure with bioseaweed gel. Context: I try to buy all my beauty products and food organic. I haven't done my nail in years since I found out that lacquers and gels have all kind of chemicals that are nocive for human being. When I got there, I told them what I wanted but I think they misunderstood me. Pedicure went well. However, manucure was another story. Well, I didn't even get a manucure, instead I got hard gel put on my nails even when I said before starting that I really wanted a manucure. The employee said that "biogel' was better since it stayed on your nails longer. I thought: well it should be the same as bio seaweed since it got bio in it. No, it was plain hardgel that was put on my short nails. I told them I never do my nails, common sense why would I want hardgel if I am not gonna do refills. When I realize that it was not the same, the lady had already started and I didnt want to bother her. When I was ready to pay, I told the owner that this is not what I wanted and explained the situation. She said that she was sorry, and if anything happens with the product to call her back. I felt so disrespected since I told her that I don't use any chemicals and she answers me that. At least she could have said 'DON'T PAY FOR YOUR NAILS ONLY YOUR PEDICURE' or ' I'll give you a discount' ! Well, people seemed friendly but I would not go back. By the way it cost me $100 in total for that thing that I didn't want. I have manners and I will not fight for this kind of things. Only advise: you should be more considerate on your clients lifestyles... By the way I told them from the beggining that I wanted the product that was free from the 5-chemicals. I said I wanted the same thing as the pedicure, I dont know how you got the pedicure right but not my manucure ! But I think you didn't really understood me. I don't mind the money, I just didn't want hardgel.

The Owner is always on the spot, she keeps up with trendy nail polish and always getting what's most "in". It is clean and they always make an effort to fit you in, but lately has been awfully busy. I trusted all the 5 star reviews and decided to book an appointment.. well I had the worst experience possible .. they did seat me immediately which was great but the service was very poor.. a lady with bangs did my nails and she filed my nails until they bled .. and most of them were bleeding .. I’ve never had my nails bleed during a manicure before .. and then the biogel experience was a nightmare .. when she turned the machine on ... it was extremely painful .. my fingers felt like they were on fire .. I don’t know what they use but I’m not sure it’s supposed to be this painful .. the lady completely disregarded my bleeding and kept harshly filing away at my nails and SKIN.. overall poor experience .. technicians do not care

I’ve been going to this nail salon for almost three years. I’ve never had any problems whatsoever. The staff is very respectful and nice, they go above and beyond to meet your needs and wants. There was a time where I wasn’t too sure with something I got and I told the owner Nathalie. I was very shy and she didn’t even fuss she fixed the problem right away and no charge. Since then, she always inspects my nails to make sure everything is all good. And she does it to everyone. They really take care of their customers. If there’s ever a price confusion Nathalie or Raymond will break it down easy so never be shy to say anything. It’s all an amount of saying it with respect. Very very content with this place, I recommend it to everyone and most people who end up going are very pleased. Prices are fair and good as well.

Hello , first the staff is friendly. They have a lot of choice of colour and good one . Now I'm disappointed because I did my pedicure and i had to ask 2x for more water in the bath (plastic bag so no spa on your feet ) pedicure was good . Now for my nails it's different story : bubble on my nails first time that happen with gel they offert me solution to have a French manicure to hide the bubble s but but when you pay 60$ you want perfection. The way the gel was applied was not delicate they put a lot and take it out with the machine after It burn when you go in the uv I was happy with the result but after one week my nails are uncomfortable so I took everything off . For cut my cuticles was an extra 10$ and she did after the gel . So very expensive it cost me 98$ for one week because it's was not comfortable at all ...

Did my nails here once and really liked how they turned out. However, the lady who did them was grouchy, busy video chatting with someone, and my fingers were hurting when I left. I came back to get my nails removed and it was less expensive than I thought it would be and was done by a much kinder lady. Also, you have to take an appointment, which makes it so you are attended almost immediately when you arrive.

the guy who did my nails was really nice and professional. this was my first time trying this salon and honestly my last. the lady at the reception was nice at first but then when i didn't know which colours i wanted, she started rushing me by saying "could you pick faster pls?? we have other costumers so we can't do anything too extra". well if you don't think you can do anything extra or if i'm gonna be rushed why tell me i can sit down? not a good experience and i will definitely be sticking to my favourite salon.

I've been to nails salons were they switch technicians right in the middle of doing your nails not this place!. Went here for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure because of the high ratings. Giving 2 stars because the pedicure was done nicely. However, this was the worst shellac manicure I've ever gotten. It started to chip in under a week and the polish on one finger just fell off completely!!! Very disappointed. Never going back. Save your money and go elsewhere. Also the guy who did my mani was judging me based on how I chose to have my nails painted (I used two colors).

I asked to skip the foot scraper, so she had time to work on my toes. The buffer she used looked like it was 5 years old. She ddnt clean under my toe nails. I dont know what she did with the filer, but you could see where she cut my toe nails with the clipper, so i had to shape my toes at home. My pinky toe wasn't completely painted. My foot rub was just her squeezing my foot with a hot towel. Both my feet werent even wrapped in the towel. She legit just patted my feet with one towel. I believe her name tag says Touch. That was 45$.

I was so happy to get a space on a Thursday night as a walk in! As soon as the nail tech started cutting my toenails, I got anxious because she was going so quickly. She ended up hurting me. And I was so shocked I screamed (very embarrassed) she then made me turn off the massage function on the chair. No other nail tech seemed hindered by their client using the massage. She barely scrubbed my feet as though being pinched with nail clippers is the same as having your feet exfoliated. The n.t. acted as if I was exaggerating. My toe still stung by the time I left. Accidents happen, of course but I was just put off by the tech's attitude. I was so annoyed that I ended up leaving without getting my manicure. It was not the best first-time experience.

My rating before was 3 out of 5 stars, but today I give them a solide 5 star rating . The technician who did my nails knew what she was doing, didn't over file my nails , never shook my hand to relax it nor told me to relax my hands and also never mentioned/never seemed irritated with my stiff hands and my tremor that I get in my left hand. I usually stop going to get my nails done because of my hand stiffness and my tremor in my hand which are always pointed out and I get annoyed looks from the technicians. However, this technician (Anne), was an absolute professional and angel who didn't make me feel self conscious about my hands and even when my hand got really shaky, she proceeded gently and with calmness . I left, for the first time ever , feeling like I do deserve nice nails and I can get them done without having to feel bad. Will definitely become a regular client and ask for her personally.

Staff was kind however very upset about the way my nails turned out. I will never go back.... The nail technician barely cleaned up her area so dust got in my colour and I had white flecks in my purple nails. My nails were painted leaving a gap between the colour and cuticle... ( sometime places do this on purpose so you need to come back faster). Rather than removing and reapplying, they added a layer of colour and top coat. This time bubbles appeared as the polish dried. The nail tectechs share equipment...they share equipment between them... files are used from person to person with no cleaning in between.. When I showed the manager the bubbles on my nails, he look at me and continued to charge me without offering me an apology or offering to fix the problem. I along with both my daughters am looking for a new nail salon as our regular nail person moved and will no longer work nearby..:( DollySwan will not be our new place

I went here for acrylic nails, it was okay but I had asked for stiletto style and they said they don't know what that was so they willingly gave me the ballerina style which I hated. Their designs are mediocre they are way behind when it comes to nail designs when you go to different places in the states they are way advanced and cost cheaper. Not worth the money Jean Talon has better nail salons. Girl bye I did asked for the Stiletto style and the girl said no you should try the ballerina. I even showed a picture of what I wanted and she still insisted on the ballerina style, even the nail tech said she does not know how to do the style that I want and I can complain all I want that's why it's called reviews I can state my opinion for FREE!Like I said you are way behind have yourself a nice day.

I liked my first experience here a lot. Service was good and nails were perfect. The second time I came another technician did my nails horribly. I pointed out multiple details which I didn't like throughout and instead of filing them down properly and taking off the lumpy and uneven parts they just added more and more polish worsening them and ruining the shape. I've never had nails this sloppy and thick. It disappoints me that the employees in charge of customer service justified it as technicians style when it was objectively poorly done work. If a customer isn't satisfied please just listen and look at what is being pointed out. I clearly didn't like them yet instead of taking the time to fix the work I had to just accept I was stuck with these. I left really disappointed, I don't expect perfection but these were not up to standard and not worth the full price. I really wish this hadn't occured because this is actually a really beautiful and clean salon!

I really like the nail salon's atmosphere and the manager seems super sweet but as you can see from my photo just total lack of attention to detail. Nails were not the same length, nail tech didnt even attempt to look them over for any touch ups. Nail tech was also super passive aggressive ignoring me each time I said anything to her (and I still tipped her since I work in service!). Stayed at the drying section for way too long, ignored by all staff, no one came to put oil on my cuticles = incomplete service.

Disappointed. I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance and they made me wait 30 min to tell me i have to go to another salon to do my nails. I indicated what i wanted on the comment section when booking my appointment but when i got there she told me the way i want to do my nails isn’t possible because she wants to do them in her way in order to charge me 15$ more. I don’t mind paying more when the quality is there but i found the technician sloppy and rushing. It’s not my first time doing the style i requested and i am familiar of the different techniques to do it but seems like they didn’t want to hear it. When i said i wanted my nails shorter than what she made them, she was acting a bit rude/mad. I understand everyone is tired after a long day of work but if you don’t wanna be there, don’t. The end result is not what i expected and i will have to file my nails once i get back home because i still have some sloppy corners. If you have 60$ to throw just go to pharmaprix and get a gel polish and it will look better than what you can get done here. I’m extremely disappointed as i have read very good reviews and they have a nice instagram page. I guess i fell on the wrong technician.

Went here 3x and only once the job was done properly. Twice were rushed and both times my nail polish chipped after a day or two. Quality isn't consistent, the prices went up but it doesn't justify the work that they do. The blonde asian behind the counter wasn't wearing mask when all others were wearing one. She was a bit rude too to other customers. Maybe she's the owner but who cares, her attitude is a bit off. One worker (the young lady asking around what nail color does the client want and giving nail polish bottles to manicurists) was wearing the mask under her chin which defeats the purpose of having one.

I've been to many salons but this is by far my favorite; I travelled all the way from the west island and it was totally worth it. The staff is very polite and friendly. The tech who did my nails was very sweet and, most importantly, attentive to my needs: I asked for my russian blue nail polish to be darker and she went ahead and applied a third coat. She also fixed my nail when I detected a tiny bubble forming. Im very satisfied with the overall experience. Great ambiance. Will definitely be going back.

My sister recommended me this salon a few months ago but I was hesitant to go since the location is a little far away for me. This week will be my 4th time getting my nails done there and it is definitely worth the trip. The service is amazing and prices are reasonable for long lasting nails. Went there once, had gel nail removal on hands and feet and then did Shellac on natural nails. Can't understand how the total came down to 92$. Never was I overcharged this much while getting very average service. The young lady who runs the store is very nice, and you can tell she's trying. However I specifically asked the lady doing my pedicure not to cut cuticles any more than necessary as I tend to bleed easily, she went at it with no care whatsoever and hurt my foot pretty bad. Since, my big left toe hasn't stopped hurting and I need to see a podiatrist to find out what's happened. The manicure was okay, the Shellac held on nicely but the nail art I asked for came off the very next day. Considering it was just a gold ribbon on the nail and that she had put two extra top coats on, that was disappointing. Overall would not go back

La seule chose que le monsieur me dit est: "on va refaire la couleur et faire sans shellac et tu vas attendre 40minutes dans les ventilateurs pour que sa sèche" je lui réponds que je n'ai pas le temps qu'il est déjà 17h15 que j'ai un souper! The owner Nathalie is extremely rude to customers, I had to reschedule my appointment and I got a call from her telling me to not schedule anything if I was gonna reschedule because it made her job harder. Great spot to go! I went in to have my gel nails removed but came out with a refill in a very natural pink colour. The owner helped me decided which colour to go for and seemed to be going around to each client to see if they were enjoying their time. The staff is very professional and the location is both clean and friendly. Very affordable prices and easily located by Snowdon Metro. They accept cash only and have a large selection of services to choose from.

The technician was really friendly. Although I don't recommend dolly swan. The customer service was awful, as I was doing my nails 3 different employees approached me with 3 different prices. The moment I went to pay the owner gave me once again a different price and this time over priced. Not a good experience. I payed 70$ for a BIO gel refill on two fighters diamonds and the other times I paid 55$ tip included for the same job.... Absolutely horrendous customer service. The owners have a perpetual arrogant and rude attitude. They are very overt about primarily being interested in money and flippant dare a paying customer voice their discontentment with the terrible service. I often ask myself if it’s a racial issue or what. I’ve had two occasions where the male receptionist refused to even make eye contact with me when I spoke to him. The quality of the manicure varies...you can end up with a very good manicure or an absolutely terrible one...only if u get a competent nail tech will your experience be good. I’ve had at least two bad nail jobs there simply because the technicians were not being attentive or seemed like they themselves were too arrogant to communicate and make sure they were doing what was expected. I regretted returning a second time after the first bad job. And often there is the owner’s dog running around the salon. To me that was absolutely unheard of before going to this place. Salons are supposed to be the pinnacle of hygiene. I have no idea why anyone would think it’s appropriate to bring a dog to a salon. I also found their bathroom to have a mild urine odour which appeared to be emanating from a white mat on the ground of the bathroom that had questionable blotches on it. I would assume that was the dog’s. Establishment's reply: " Hi Panda Koala (a.k.a. Arianne Cooper, facebook user AriTheTrini), I don't know who is racist, but the first time you contact us, I remember you asked us if it's a black person who owns the salon. Who is the racist? The last time you came, you told us you will not tip the technician because she only speaks French, not English. This is the most racist and insulting reason not to tip the technician. Should you simply say that you don't have money to tip? During all your nail session, we came to assist you and help you make sure everything is correct and at the end you clearly said your nails were perfect except the fact she only speak French." Response to Establishment's comment: Where is the professionalism? After leaving a comment under my google account’s user name the business ‘Dolly Swan’ assigned an apparent name and made a series of accusations that are in no way verifiable, related to or in response to my initial comment. In keeping with my initial complaint about the business consistently priopirizing money over customer serve, they chose to claim that whomever this person was did not leave a tip because they were unable to. How is it the establishment's business to make such accusations? Is there a law stating that customers must tip even after having unsatisfactory experiences? They have simply proven the attitude I outlined in my initial comment, where a customer cannot have any sort of opinion. They have gone as far as to disclose a customer’s name, social media information and an interaction that they claimed occurred between the supposed client and the establishemt. I have to ask myself if such an action is even within the parameters of client confidentiality laws at this point.

I have been going to Dollyswan for 3-4 years with my sister at least every 3 weeks. We have done everything — all types of designs, colours, nail styles, acrylic, gel, shellac...you name it. On top of that, we have gone through all their nail techs on multiple visits and found two that we love and ask for all the time. To those who complain, you need to try it out a few times with different techs and find out which one does the job you like. They all have different styles of doing nails.. for us, our favourite is Lan. Every time we call to make an appointment they always accodomate for us and fill us in right away with no questions. They have fantastic customer service. And if you don’t know anything about nails and you insist that either Violet or Nathalie are wrong about something, you should maybe try to listen to them. They most likely know what they’re talking about. There have definitely been a few times where I was not happy with my nails or I knicked them, or they chipped. If you are unhappy and you go back within the same week and explain the situation they will fix them and redo it for free. This is always the case, they are very accommodating and just want their clients to be happy (and their nail techs to be tipped as they should be). For pedicures, I prefer to go to an actual podiatrist because I haven’t had a great experience at any place for the feet. I’ve done it here a couple of times, the pedicure and nail painting is great but some of the nail techs have ruined the bottom of my feet by cutting me with the tool on accident. It happens, and it’s painful and takes long to heal, but you can’t expect anything more from any nail salon. You just have to ask that they don’t try to use the scalpel on your feet. Other than that, a pedicure is great. Will always come to my go-to nail spot! I’ve never found anything better.
