Been there 3 times. Had a bad haircut last time which was very disappointing as my hair is short, fine & thin & the haircut is most important. Looked like my hair had been cut using a bowl on my head. Loved the colour & so did everyone else. Not very forward thinking of me though to have a semi-permanent instead of permanent colour. Because of meds, my scalp can sweat alot in the humidity & so the bright red colour runs down my face & neck. Too bad it's not Halloween.

I've had my nails done by Linh twice and they have turned out fabulously both times. She has a great eye for detail and really takes her time to give you some flawless nails. She is also very creative (I recommend you let her take the artistic reigns and see what she creates, you won't regret it). I would definitely recommend Linh for your nail care needs!

The hairdresser Thea does great hair but was dishonest. When we met we got along great and agreed to an exchange of services where she would get me as a client over my other hairdresser and I would get to show her what I do. I'm in a niche where chit-chat over a haircut isn't adequate. In between the cuts (which I tipped $4 each) she courteously avoided the topic of my business and would only tried to rebook me for more cuts. After the second time I later asked her what time would work to get together to quickly show her per our promise and she was quite curt in her attitude (as we were no longer in the studio) and told me she was just saying that to be nice and had no intention of taking the time to see what I do so, let alone send a referral my way or to do any business. This really shocked me as I have been nothing but gracious and considered her a friend. I have no experience with the rest of the staff but they seem nice and it's a great looking location inside and out. This is more of a review of character than Westboro Spa but the hairdressers represent the studio. I feel betrayed and lied to so I want others to know beforehand so they can make an informed decision, and for the staff to know they are accountable for how they carry business and treat people. So I hope it can be taken constructively by all, and that instead of fuming to our mutual friends and somehow villainizing me for sharing what happened, Thea can reflect on the importance of her word in business (or in life) and take responsibility for this difficult review, and even perhaps apologize.

i was quite excited to try their services when we moved to Westboro and my very first experience at hair studio went well. I returned for some pedicure and another haircut, however, my experience became less and less pleasant with each visit :(... it is those little things that make the wholesome experience, and they seem to miss them everywhere. I went here for the first time and my hair cut looks great and my stylist was very friendly. However I was not informed about who my hairdresser would be and I got a “senior stylist” meaning I was charged $72 instead of the advertised $48. I understand a price difference between novice and experience stylists but I was surprised to be charged $24 more than the website price with no warning beforehand. Also I was told there would be 20% discount for referral that was not honoured. $85 (incl tip) is just too steep for a trim for me.

Mixed feelings. I had one intermediate hairstylist who knew her stuff and was the best ever. I had another intermediate hairstylist who lacked in professionalism on many levels. She scowled at my head a good part of the service, felt the need to assert her opinions (very much lacking) to my personal situation, and did a very blah and technically faulty haircut. I tried so hard not to judge her by her own hair as I sat in her chair. This stylist looked like something had been gnawing on her hair for the last few hours. There is a difference between personal opinion and a mess, and in this instance, it really reflected in the service. Thank you for the sidewise remark made to the next customer in reference to me. Yes, I got it!

This is my absolute favourite spa in Ottawa! I've lived here for 6 years now and have tried salons all over the city and nothing compares to this place! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. You're greeted as soon as you walk in and are offered a beverage of your choice while you wait and the wifi password.
