An Amazing Couples full body massage,my daughter gifted me an early birthday surprize.the Atmosphere was so relaxing.room was cave like, ceiling looked like a twinkling nite sky.the whole spa was very calming. Just had my whole friends birthday gift ruined by Genta Bella. I had it booked for Saturday and I called and changed it to Friday instead and just got my reminder call for tomorrow for my friend and I to get a pedicure and they changed it to TWO DIFFERENT TIMES!!! My husband spends hundreds of dollars a year there on gift cards, but not any more! I told him don't ever buy we a gift card from there again, I won't ever go there again. Thanks for ruining my friends birthday Genta Bella.

My first time at Undine's Retreat today was an excellent experience. The staff are so friendly, they were able to accommodate a last minute service change for me with no trouble. I was very happy with the spa treatments I had done today and I will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I booked in for some "Time for Two" A couples massage and European Pedicure. I greatly enjoyed my experience but sadly my boyfriend was a little lost. His professional wasn't really telling him what to do or where to go. After our massage he said he wished she had done his lower back to this I was surprised as I had mine done. I had to tell him where to go after as she left and he didn't know we were done. We went for our pedicures and mine was wonderful. Sadly his didn't look much better after and he was finished a lot faster then I was. He would have liked the option for some clear polish or fun funky color but she didn't ask and was busy stocking waxing strips so we didn't want to bother her to come back. For his first experience at both a massage and pedicure I wish it had been just as good if not better then mine. I would highly recommend as the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are friendly but make sure you speak up if your unhappy and if you have a newbie with you make sure they aren't shy to say something in the moment instead of asking you after.

How can a business be rated (2 stars out of 5) based on a service that they, first of all: did not provide, and second of all: were not willing to offer free of charge? I would personally like to vouch for the charitable work this salon carries out. The salons owner, Mrs Leslie Reid, personally donated a "Day at the Spa" package, to my cause which is in fact the BC Cancer Foundation. Through this donation we managed to raise an impressive $500, 100% of which went straight to the BC Cancer Foundation. I therefore rate Gente Bella 5 stars for being one of the biggest supporters of charity in Chilliwack, any service i have ever had at Gente Bella has been 5 star!

Gente Bella is beautiful and clean and the staff is all super friendly but I would NOT recommend getting your eyebrows waxed there; especially if you have dark hair. I've went a few times myself and haven't been satisfied with the last few waxes. I was being waxed by the same girl but she left so I tried out a few others. Not impressed at all with the last 3 girls I've tried. I took my younger sister today and her brows came out noticeably uneven. She clearly doesn't understand where eyebrows are supposed to start and finish. I've never tried any other spa services but I'm never going to Gente Bella again for eyebrow waxing.

I purchased the "Bella Manicure" which says online that it includes a massage from elbows down. The girl who did my manicure rubbed some lotion into her hands and did one swipe down both of my arms, didn't even rub the lotion in. Then the paint job began...she painted the middle of my nails and completely left out the sides. I spoke to the front desk and asked if the nails could be touched up and they said they would have to book me when they had an opening at the end of the day. What a ridiculous waste of money, I will not be going back.

Went in for a big hair colour and trim with Loon! My hair is super thick so it took about 2 hours for the process. Whole time i was there she was checking if i was comfortable or wanted anything to drink. After the hair wash she gave me a scalp massage which was a nice surprise! Definitely going back!

I had a Christmas gift card, finally going to use after 6 months, came late ,they deducted half of the value and rebooked for another time, unfortunately in my profession unexpected things happen all the time, had to rebook my app, lost another half. So I used the left over to buy a product and never go back. Feels very unwelcome. Didn't like the service in Abbotsford too.

Went here for a manicure and it was lovely! Friendly staff, nice environment, and my nails look beautiful. I enjoyed the paraffin hand treatment, which smelled sweet and made my hands feel so smooth! I will definitely be back to enjoy more of their spa services.

I was pleased with my haircut as well as after care & product recommendations thus far. I've had a chance to try out some of the products recommended to me for my dry hair and I truly appreciate the knowledge Jennifer had behind curly hair needs. I didn't get a fancy cut, just your basic dead end chop, though it did end up in quotes few inches off, she didn't make it look choppy, she evened out my layers for me, and my hair feels so healthy. Good conversation, good atmosphere.

Just got my hair done at European Day Spa, and the experience was fantastic. The staff are all concerned about my well-being, and had friendly, but not intrusive conversations with their clients. My hair can be tricky to work with if your less experienced, but Jessica (I recommend her) knew exactly what to do, and was observant and present in the situation. The final product is absolutely stunning, and I doubt I could be happier with it.

First of all it Cost 147.00 for mani/pedi with gel nails. They were the worst nails I have ever had and took over 2 hours. Nails and paint chipped in first week and I literally laid on a beach. 70 for pedicure that was over in 20 mins. I have had a way better experience at all of the cheaper places. Would never go back

Relaxing atmosphere. Professional. Upon arrival I was pleased to see their COVID-19 Policies clearly posted by the front door and upon entering I was promptly greeted by a friendly face who provided a face mask and hand sanitizer. Throughout my visit I noticed all staff wore face masks and gloves, employees were cleaning often. I saw Christina for a deep tissue massage with cupping, it was a very effective treatment. I would definitely recommend and I’m looking forward to my next visit!.

While I appreciate the review from Dawn Naka I would like to point out that Gente Bella is extremely generous when it comes to supporting the community. Unfortunately we cannot support every request that we receive. Earlier this year we raised $3,000.00 for a young family with a seriously ill baby - Gente Bella is very proud of this achievement. The previous year Gente Bella helped a family in need to have the best Christmas ever by providing gifts, food, furniture, TV, paid for taxis and prescriptions, vouchers to wall mart. This year we helped 5 high school graduates with the expenses of dresses, suits, hair and makeup. We continue to support the local sport teams, wanting to invest in the children of our community, the hospice, various charitable organizations in town. I understand you being sincerely disappointed, but we do a lot, we just can't do everything.

Went for a package ,massage ,Mani and pedi. Massage was great. The Mani Pedi was terrible. She didn't paint half of my nails. She did two coats and I could see streaking, I noticed she barely went over with base and too coat. Just a quick middle swift .. I didn't say anything because I figured she wasn't done.. when she did finish , I was in awe... In retrospect I shouldn't have even tipped her. Spent 200+ dollars for basically a massage ... Which was the nice part and the decor .. the place looked beautiful , but the service was lacking. Staff is super friendly, so there's that. Like the other comment, no clear covid protocol. They said they require masks but I saw a walk in client without one????????‍♀️

My wife and I have been to Gente Bella a dozen or so times now. My wife for facials, massage and waxing, myself for massage. Their team is amazing, the spa itself is gorgeous. I can't recommend the couples massage more!!!! What a perfect place for a quick break from reality or treat yourself to a whole day of indulgence. You wont find a better spa in the fraser valley!!!!!!!!

The hair stylists bad mouth each other and one stylist accused me of pulling the race card when i questioned what she was doing to my hair. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Sarah is amazing! I went in to get my first haircut after 2+ years of growing out a pixie cut and I was extremely nervous. She listened to my concerns and made the process an absolute dream. She was beyond friendly and we chatted the whole time, which really took my mind off my nerves and made the experience easier for me. I've been to the Abbotsford location before and my experience was lovely. Was expecting the same here. Definitely didn't get it. Scheduled for a deep tissue message for myself and my spouse, as it was his first time. I've had deep tissue before and this definitely was not. Felt rushed and wasn't a very relaxing experience. We were both extremely disappointed. definitely not worth the money.

I honestly can not say enough good things about this spa ! Firstly I moved from North Vancouver from a home of 23 yrs but literally had to drive a lot of distance for each type I treatment I wanted . This is a one stop fits all ...I am currently into my 5 th session of skin tightening and cellulite treatment on my thighs front and back and I Am starting to see the difference ! I bought a package of 8 and I Go once a week , I Am going to repeat the treatment with another 8 and taper off to maintenance appointments . It is also helping me with my Fibromyalgia pain .. strange ! I Am also doing the teeth whitening and fractional on my face for fine lines and wrinkles ... I Am 52 yrs young and treating myself this year , the staff at European spa are beyond friendly and knowledgeable and Barb gets my weekly laugh on .. I swear my abs are getting tighter just from hanging out with her and her ability to crack me up every 2 minutes . This is my spot and I will continue to visit European Day and Spa for many years to come it has become my fountain of youth and sense of well being !

I was in on Saturday, disappointed that my $100 gift card from my son got me a 1/2 hour facial (the ones listed online are all 60 minutes). Also had to pay a eco fee? My previous visit had been for a massage, another gift from my son, which I also landed up owing above the gift card. I go in prepared to pay for a tip above the Gift Card but the point of my son giving these is so I can have a service paid for by him.

She did two colour foils on me and my hair looks fantastic. she straightened out a haircut that I had done by my husband when I was desperate because of covid . I can say that the spa and salon services are beyond amazing, affordable and the atmosphere is relaxing where is should be (the spa) and interactive on the salon side. Each employee at Gente Bella enjoys her job, is continually being educated in current fashion by attending classes and conferences all over the world and really loves her clients. I have had my hair cut by Monika and Magdalena, nails done by Carmen and spa services by both Liza and Becky. Some of the listed names may be currently on maternity leave :) These woman at Gente Bella are dedicated to each client, making you look and feel amazing from start to finish. If you haven't been then you're missing out on a wonderful experience! I've tried finding other places in the Vancouver, Richmond area but the prices can't be beat and the service is unmatched. I also know from being behind the scene once upon a time just how generous the owner is. She is kind, has a big heart and takes personal care and interest in both her girls as well as the business. If you've been and haven't been satisfied with your service call in and they will do what they can to change your unsatisfied visit for an AMAZING experience. If you have never been I encourage you to check it out, get a pamphlet, ask questions, take a tour and get the next available booking for whatever you need. My favorite spa experiences have been massages, facials, and perfect pedicures. My hair cuts have always enhanced my beauty and brought out my features. THANKS GENTE BELLA GIRLS AND LESLEY!!!!

Extremely disappointing experience. First and last time. Had a lovely spa day planned using a Valentine gift from my husband--the serenity package. First my facial was cancelled when I arrived at 11:45. Then I waited for over an hour in the reception area, ignored, while they scrambled around to find someone to do my mani and pedi. Despite a note sitting on the table beside me saying complimentary refreshments were available, I wasn't offered any. By the time someone was available to do my hair, I was hungry and tired of being there. So I said not to bother. Foolishly I gave them my gift certificate. The next day I called in and spoke with the manager who apologized for my less than serene day at their spa and invited me back for the true experience. Guess what? I waited too long. Who knew it would be bought out and renamed? Of course now it is called European Day Spa. Without the gift certificate the manager won't honour the serenity package---even though my experience was written in their old files. Live and learn...the hard way!

If I could give a negative score I would. Came out of there and had to shave my head, the cut I got was that embarrassing. I don’t think my hair dresser ever did a men’s cut before and it clearly shows. I went in with a full head of hair and came out looking like I was balding with thin whispy hair. I don’t even understand how in the hell thats possible. Steer clear of this disaster zone. If you want a good haircut, you’re better off cutting your own hair in the dark then going to this place.

Artika was amazing! She did a great job on my pedicure I love the color and getting to know her was really nice. The staff is very professional the place was very clean. Some soft music would've been nice and it was expensive for sure but Artika definitely made the experience worth it. I will be coming back for a mani next time!

I have had many wonderful services at Gente Bella. Waxing, Pedicures, Manicures, Detox Wrap, Gel Polish...etc. I have never been disappointed. The only thing that turns me off slightly is the entry. I find it sometimes busy and noisy, with people coming, going, paying ect.. I would rather check in at the desk and wait in a quieter more subdued atmosphere. This is a very minor irritant and my own personal preference, it will not discourage me at all from continuing to visit Gente Bella for my spa services.

With the small amount of money left over the girl suggested I put it towards a gradituity, very rude, I thought. I went to gents Bella back in September to get my hair done. While I was sitting in the chair with a head full of foils/ombré the power went out :( the hair dresser proceeded to wait and let my hair process a bit more and then started saying things like "I hope the water doesn't run out" "we might not be able to was the bleach out" since it was my first time there it made me nervous and she then asked me if I would rather my high lights be more of a caramel than a blonde- I said that was fine and she wished my hair. I was getting a bob cut and she said she couldn't cut the hair unless it was dry- and I said that was fine cause I get it the cut needs to be done dry. They took my cc number and asked if I could come back tomorrow, which I said was fine, and they said they wouldn't charge my cc it was just a safe guard, incase I didn't come back. I was planning on going back to get the cut done. But they never called me to book me back in later that day and when I finally called to get back into see the stylist to have her do the cut- which sucks btw, it was a bad dye job- my blonde 'caramel' is brassy and the cut it too blunt. I told her to thin the cut out a bit but she said 'she didn't want to cause my hair was thin and you'd see the cut marks' ummm what? You've supposedly got 15 years experience and you don't know how to blend a cut??? Anyways, they charged my cc the same day the power was out and when I went back, they charged me AGAIN!!! This place is garbage. If there is a good place to have your hair done out here, someone please let me know ????

I love Gente Bella! This is my favorite place to go for a littler pampering! I have had different services here such as massages and pedicures. The staff are fantastic :) always so friendly. I highly recommend this spa, and it's truly an oasis of relaxation.

I contemplated what I wanted to spend my gift certificate on; these things can't be taken lightly. A pedi? A wrap? A brazilian? Heck no -- a hot stone massage! It was 75 minutes of pure bliss. Not only did the hot smooth river rocks in the masseuse' hands add the perfect heat with the pressure, but Melanie, my new best friend, knew exactly how to give a perfect massage. From start to finish. She compared with any RMT I've ever been to and she was sweet and accommodating. I would go back to HER for this same massage again any time. What a treat! Spoil yourself!

I have been going to Gente Bella for about 4 years now. I have received excellent service in the areas of hair stylists , pedicures , manicures and using the spa area as well. Everyone has been friendly and very helpful. for example today I went for a massage , awe that was so relaxing. And afterwards I had my hair cut and I felt spoiled.

Im really disappointed in Gente bella. I submitted a letter for a donation of maybe a spa pedicure for two..( one for the friend who brings her ) for a friend and co worker of FHA whom is terminaly ill with cancer and could really use a little pampering I recieve no reply not even a... no can do...I would have gone to another spa and asked...and still might. So just to make things worse , I offered to give her my Spa pedicure that I recieved for mothers day as a gift, only to find out it was only worth half of the price ( 25.00 ) because apparently it was a special and you had to come with the other person who got the other half of the buy one get one half off....which of course niether of us where told this..... Not to say that Gente Bella doesnt give great Spa pampering,... I imagine they do ...Im just disappointed that they couldnt help by giving some of that pamping to my friend in need. Sincerely Disappointed

Visited the European Day Spa for the first time yesterday evening and was treated to a relaxing European Pedicure. The facilities were clean and comfortable. I was offered tea or coffee and waited in the lounge area. Melanie was fantastic and very accommodating with all of my requests. I have a couple of suggestions; it is always enjoyable when the spa provides warm towels for your legs when the massage is being performed. Also, I was disappointed that the salon did not carry any of the 2018 OPI polishes and that the selection of colors was so limited. Additionally, the spa does not sell the polishes, so even if I had wanted to purchase one of the holiday colors for my service, I was not able to. It would be great if they carried the mini bottles and offered to include the bottle at an additional charge. Finally, while not all spas offer it, a punch card for return customers or other perks for being loyal to the spa would be appreciated. While the aesthetician that performed my service was excellent, some of the amenities I would have appreciated were lacking.
