I felt like I should write about my experience after reading some of the other reviews. I used to live in Ottawa and tried a number of groomers there for my 4 year old goldendoodle. None of them listened to what I asked for and they all seemed totally annoyed that I was bringing them a doodle (because they're notorious for taking forever to groom). They all would shave him down because it was easier than taking the time to give him a good groom. I can honestly say that Victoria's is the best groomer I've been to in both cities. Not only is she the first person who can cut my guy perfectly, she has never once been rude and is always very accommodating. When we got our new puppy, I was nervous to have him go to the groomer as he was more of a timid little guy at first. Victoria did an AWESOME job grooming him for the first time and now he literally jumps into her arms when he goes there. Both my dogs love the experience and I've been 100% happy with mine.

I used to work for Victoria for about 2 years so we would always bring my dog to her to get groomed. She used to do such a good job but once I quit working there her total demeanor towards my dog has changed. Her cuts have gotten a lot sloppy. I have heard some nasty things about Victoria for awhile now on the internet and I always figured it wasn't true until now. The last time we brought our dog in, everything went the same. She did her cut then we went to pick her up. Victoria never said anything happened to my dog so we just took her home. Two days later when I was doing my usual check up on her I noticed she had huge razor burn and nicks from a razor on her neck. We were so mad, I can understand my dog can be crazy but for you to cut her then not tell us is ridiculous. So I sent her a text asking when would be a good time to call her, as I didn't want to interrupt anything she might be doing at home. While we were gone she left us a very rude message, on how we are always accusing her of doing stuff to our dog. (which in fact is not true, I may have asked a question about her leg before but that's nothing) and that she does not reply to texts now. So I called her, telling her we found razor burn and nicks on her neck. Victoria of course said it wasn't from her, that she would have noticed something like that. Victoria is the only one that grooms her. I've seem razor burn and nicks that she has given to other dogs while I worked for her. So I know what they look like and what they are from. I can't believe she didn't even have the nerve to admit to this. We obviously DO NOT recommend her to anyone. There are plenty of other groomers to go to. I hate that this has happened to my dog, and that Victoria would leave such a nasty message on our phone and lie about what happened. There is no reason to treat clients like that. It makes me wonder what else she is doing to other dogs. I can honestly say we are no longer bringing our dog to her.

Worst customer service ever. She is outright very rude. My family was late by 10 min at 8am appointment , even tough she was informed ahead of time.. she refused to take my dog. Even My family doctor is considerate during early am appointment's. Wht she does not realize is that, she is running a business and not an assembly line, which I think she would be better off working at!! So yes I would never ever take my dog their even tough she was the last groomer in chatham kent area.

Victoria is a great Groomer! I have a VERY NERVOUS old dog. Victoria took the time to set her in her lap and make her feel comfortable. Whenever I am not around Lola shakes like crazy...I mean this dog is very nervous. When I went to pick her up she wasn't shaking in the slightest! Lola was just sitting there and hanging out. I REALLY APPRECIATE Victoria for taking the time and doing such a great job with her! She is quick and efficient and ALWAYS on time, therefor I MAKE SURE I AM AS WELL to not cause any issues with her scheduling. Both my dogs always look great once she's finished complete with bows"and bandanna! She also took a lot of time discussing with me how I want my dogs to look once finished. I would definitely recommend!!!! VERY PLEASED WITH HER WORK!

My dog teter loves miss victoria. He gets excited when I tell him we are going for a hair cut. She is professional and always treats him well. She knows alot abouts dogs and always helps me when I ask her questions. She will give me suggestions which helps me. I rate her 5 out of 5. We look forward to our trips to Victoria'S Pet Spa. I just had my 19yo kitty Nikki groomed by Victoria and her team....what an incredible experience!! She actually allowed me to stay with Nikki while she was being groomed! They were loving and patient with my Nikki...and ever so gentle as Nikki has hip problems at her age. If you're looking for a groomer who will care for your pet as much as you do, then look no further....thank you so much Victoria!

Took my dog here for the first time last month and am still bothered by the experience. My biggest concern was the bloody wound I discovered on my girl's paw upon returning home. She wouldn't leave it alone so she had to wear a cone for 2 days as it healed. Her wash and groom were another issue all together. The groom was totally uneven, it looked as if it had been done in a hurry with a blindfold on. I've been trying to even out the cut for weeks with my shears. And, the pricing outrageous. I would be happy to pay those rates for a fantastic groom and pleasant experience for my girl but my dog and I were both sorely disappointed. This groomer talks a big game but good results and customer service are seriously lacking. Will not return.

The owner is the problem here. It takes a very bad experience to make me actually go to the effort of posting a negative review. It's usually easier to just never go back, but future potential customers should know what they are getting into here. She was rude and verbally abusive. My wife left deeply upset after our most recent visit (which will also be our last visit). She strongly implied that we seriously mistreat out dog because the dog flinches around her electric clippers. The dog just doesn't like the noise, but she insisted that we must be causing this behaviour in the dog. She is deeply unprofessional and vindictive. She also disregards any specific instructions you have regarding your dog and how you want it cut and handled. She claims she knows better because she has bred and groomed dogs for years and will proceed to do whatever she wants in spite of your wishes. Save yourself the trouble and find a real professional. There are many in Chatham.

Took my dog to see Victoria for the first time yesterday. He came home with blood coming from his back paw, and traced blood all over our house. Originally we thought it was a simple nick, which happens, but still not overly impressed that nothing was said after clearly injuring my dog. Now day two, the spot has re-opened and I can now clearly see that EVERY nail on his back paw was cut too short, and with too much excitement, the wounds open back up. Extremely disappointed at the overall experience and lack of accountability. Extremely rushed job, and most expensive pricing to boot. Nothing good to share. Will not be returning, and would not recommend.

I would not recommend her, even she was the last groomer on this planet ************************************************************************************* I agree with the previous reviewer... Its one thing to get bad service, but you really need to push me off the edge for me to actually take time and put a bad review. Victoria is extremely rude person, with no customer focus. My gf called in for an appointment, and she gave us a next day booking. I work in the mornings, so it was agreed that I'll drop the dog in the morning, and pick him up when I get called that he is done. On my way to her place, it was snowy roads and traffic and I was delayed 10 mins...Once again 10 minutes. She called my gf at work 5 mins after the booked time and start cursing her for not considerate of her time. My gf told her that I should be on my way and she cant talk to Victoria right now because she is in middle of something at work. I think that's what pissed Victoria, so when I showed up 5 minutes later at her shop, I was not only scolded for being late, but also was told that how rude my gf was and she will not take our dog anymore. I had to drive home, to drop off my dog and that made me almost an hour late for my scheduled meeting. Well news for you Ms. Victoria...you are not the only groomer in town and even if you were, I wouldn't bring my loved ones to you.
