It is my second visit and will be my last. The girls at the front desk are not welcoming or helpful. I booked a Indian head massage and the therapist did my back, arms, shoulders and tapped my head for max 10 minutes, my massage was 1 hour. She didn't even do my temples.When I discussed this with the front desk they said will have to call you Monday but shes a good massage therapist shes been with us 15 years. I was never debating her qualifications but I did not receive the service I asked and paid for. Super disapointed as I had been looking forward to it all week.

The service I received was great, though the esthetician forgot several "ingredients" and had to leave and come back at least 4 times. My biggest complaint was the noise level. I was having a facial and all I could hear the whole time was other clients talking and laughing. It really detracted from the relaxation effect of the facial.

The worst and most expensive facial of my life. First, I was suppose to be with Melina, I show up and I am told no I'm with Rodica. Already I was annoyed because I had Melina previosuly and wanted to be with her or Milla. Regardless, this new girl, Rodica, did not listen to a single word I had to say, the only thing she was interested in was up selling me to a peel and more expensive facial. I told her my concerns about breaking out if we did this type of facial to which she said 'impossible' and 'none of my clients ever have I assure you'. Needless to say I broke out BAD, like I have NEVER ever broken out in my entire life before in the days following that facial. The only thing I did request was that she use the glass wand with the electric lights after my facial to calm my skin and she said 'sure we could but this is a very very old method that some aesteticians still use' but if I wanted it, she would do it. She never did it. That was my ONLY request because I know that method helps my type of skin after a facial. Also, when choosing what type of facial to do she said with massage would be $140 and without $120. It ended up costing me $150 ($172+) plus taxes for some reason so her pricing was off, she should be trained on what she is telling her clients in terms of pricing. The extraction portion lasted about 3 minutes, mind you, that's the WHOLE reason I'm there. And lastly I have to say the 'massage' she was referring to was pretty much a joke. She massaged my HAIR. And not my scalp but I mean my hair, the part of my being that I can feel the LEAST on my body. No neck, no shoulders, no arms, no scalp, nothing. Some face but mostly my HAIR. Needless to say my experience at this spa was SUB PAR. I feel like I wasted almost $200 with tip and I will never ever go back. I have had better facials for 50 bucks. Save your money and go elsewhere. This facial was a rip off and a joke. I would give it -5 stars if I could.

*WARNING* My daughter went there to get an eyebrow wax, she burnt her with the hot wax. She now has a burn mark from this. I will never ever return to this place. Who puts HOT WAX that HOT on someone's eyebrow?!?! We have been to many places, this has never happened! PS: I don't know the girl's name that did it, but please BEWARE of this!

I got a gift card for Christmas last year of the 4h package Day at the Spa. A couple of months later I was on vacation in Mexico and got robbed in my villa. The gift card was in my wallet at the time, which they took. I reported the incident to Aqua Spa Lynn Giroux upon my return with the police report of the event from Mexico, the credit card statement which clearly stated the purchase, the date and the hour of the purchase and the credit card number (all provided from the person who purchased the gift). I went at the counter and felt completely disrespected as if I was trying to scam them. They said they could not do anything for me and that it would be to much of an hassle for them to retrieve the transaction for that specific day. If it was a simple treatment I would totally understand but that is the most expensive package they have. I was so disappointed by the way I was treated and would never return. Not only they cashed that money without anybody using that gift card but I felt completely robbed all over again! Would not recommend and would never return.

I have been there only once for a reflexology massage. I went with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. They got a Swedish massage and deep tissue if I am not wrong. My experience was absolutely amazing. There is no words to describe the profissional that works in this spa. The therapist (that I don't remember the name - I am sorry) was very attentive with my healthy condition. I explained her that I just had a recent healthy problem and she listened and asked question to understand well my needs. What else? She has an angel voice what made me relaxing during the massage. The spa also sales make up, products for spa and bijoux - they are very pretty. They offered a tea in the end and we could enjoy some time in a tea area after massage. I absolutely recommend this spa and can't wait to go again for another massage.

My friend and I both had gift certificates for a pedicure and a bikini wax. I had gotten called in first and asked only for my lower legs to be waxed. There was no cleansing of my legs for waxing, she applied wax in large amounts and over a wide surface area and only went over the areas once. After she was done, she applied a very small amount of lotion and basically missed half my leg. I noticed tons of hair and left over wax on my legs and my experience was rather painful. My friend got her whole leg done, which she was supposed to get as said on the gift certificate. She ended up getting charged an extra $17 more because the esthetician did not inform her that she was doing any treatment further than a bikini wax. We mentioned it to the receptionist as we were paying and she had nothing to say, and charged my friend for the treatment anyway. They pushed our pedicure so close to closing that a lot of the workers were in their jackets and boots waiting to leave when we were getting our last coat of nail polish on. Lastly, both my friend and I felt very unwelcome as we are both teenagers (16 and 18). Very disappointed and will not be returning.

I went last weekend to get a pedicure. It went well but the lady tried to cut my nail in an angle and now I have a ingrown nail that I had to go to the emergency clinic cause I got an infection. They had to cut a piece of the middle of my nail to remove the other part of nail. For $71, not worth it

Personally did not like it, first they missed and mixed up my booking. Then they said sorry and gave us another date and also said that we can speak with their manager as he was not in store. I am a long time customer of this spa. I usually have my services done by Roxanne who is truely amazing. The services are pricy but becuz of the great service i usually get, i don't mind paying. Last time i went for a leg wax. Since i just had a baby, i took her with me. It was my luck that she needed a diaper change. I was sent from one place to an other. Baby started crying. The manager started shouting at the staff girls asking who sent me to the place i was sent. Three of the girls came to me one after another saying baby need to ge quiet. The manager came and ask me to change room when my baby had her half diaper off. I could hear the staff whispering to each other. There were lots of other clients starring at me when i came out after changing my baby. I was embarrassed and felt humiliation and disrespect. I would never ever go back. After years of services i felt like my buisnesse was not valued at all. I would not recommand this place to pregnant women or for anyone who have babies and want a quick service even if the spas usually accept peopled with babies for quick services like threading and quick waxing. ????

UPDATE February 2020: I returned for bikini wax and was appointed to Jessy again. She was very polite and nice. She finished VERY quickly - usually waxing down there feels like an eternity, and she made it pass seemlessly with a friendly conversation. There was some hair left, hence 4 stars. But unlike other places that put powder and stain my clothes when I get dressed, a calming cream was applied that helped with redness and getting rid of stickiness. I'm glad to stand corrected and will happily return for another appointment! 2019: So disappointed! I came for leg waxing. Jessy was the esthetician who met me. She never asked me if it was my first time (it was for legs), usually after removing a strip they apply pressure so it doesn't hurt as much, and she just kept on ripping off very large areas at once very quickly. The way she did it was very painful, so I tried to make conversation to distract myself from the pain, and her answers were very dismissive, she even BLAMED me for waiting too long to come. Who does that?! I also asked her to wax my toes, figured she could do it since she was doing my legs - she completely ignored my request. When she stepped out of the room, I touched my legs - HALF of the hair were just broken and prickly, the skin did not feel smooth at all, not to mention many traces of unremoved wax that was sticking to my pants for the whole evening. So much for paying money and enduring the pain! Jessy made me feel like a piece of meat who she just wanted to get rid of as soon as possible, her reception wasn't friendly and felt very rushed.

I had an excellent facial here a week ago and my skin still feels fabulous! I got a hot stone massage here a few months prior, and it was gross. Maybe hot stone is just not for me, I'm not sure. The stones kept being put back in water and felt clammy and too hot on my skin. Nothing agaisnt the masseuse or business, I just would not recommend that specific type of massage.

Their service is atrocious. I used the online system to book a massage for my husband. It only provided a place for the guests name and contact information and a note. I put in my email address anyway because I wanted the receipt sent to me. I left a note explaining that it was for his 50th birthday and a way to have him out of the house while party preparations were done at home. They immediately texted him to confirm his appointment! Once he told me, I called them and spoke with the manager, telling her what happened. I suggested they adjust their online booking system to allow for the name on the credit card and contact info, then the name of the person that the service is for and also preferences on how to be contacted. She apologized and offered the water circuit free, suggesting he come early. I mentioned that I didn’t get a receipt yet and did that mean he had to bring my Visa card? She took my name and number and told me everything looked fine with the charges, and not to worry. I gave him $30 cash to give as a nice tip, not wanting him to pay for anything on his special day. He went an hour before but said he found it was too crowded in the hot tub and sauna for safe social distancing. He then went out to his car and waited until his massage. Afterwards he came home to a nice family gathering. However in the middle of the party on a Sunday afternoon they called HIM (not me!) to say there was a problem with the credit card. I tried calling back first thing this morning and left a message. They keep calling my husband back. I’m so disappointed with this place. It’s incredibly frustrating to see such incompetence and carelessness. Also, my card is fine. I double checked my banking online and all the other party charges, cake, decorations, flowers, catering, have gone through and there’s still money available. This is on them… I’m not sure how they come back from this.

I’m new to this area and I needed bikini waxing. Despite of the bad reviews here and in Facebook groups I decided to give this place a chance. Since it’s a Spa I wrongly thought it could be good. At the reception, the girl seemed very annoyed because I interrupted her personal conversation to let her know I had an appointment. The girl that did the waxing was nice but her technique was awful and painful. She basically covered the whole area at once an pull the strips as hard as she could. Of course my skin was bleeding and burned. She finished in 7 minutes exactly. She left without applying any lotion so my clothes were sticky and hurt my skin after. I went to the reception to pay and the same annoyed girl gave me some attitude because I wasn’t tipping enough!!!! This was my first and last time in this place. Next time I’ll believe more the reviews. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Had a massage and specifically told the masseuse to not massage my left foot because of a fracture in my toes and she did anyways. I guess she forgot. Not impressed and very painfull. Had a facial after the massage and it went fine until the girl started to put steam on my face which made breathing rather difficult. This was my second time at the spa and I remember it being much better. This time the relaxation area had no blankets, or wine. I was disappointed overall.

I received a gift card from my wonderful friends on my 40th.... I've been trying to set up an appointment since then (January) I'm not the type to harass, so I've only made 2 attempts ... according to the package or treatment I choose, either their masseuse isn't available outside of working hours, or their booked... they never replied to my second email requesting to schedule an appointment. I decided to give them a call instead, and truthfully, the young lady seemed annoyed and not very willing to help, seemingly looking to brush me off... This said, and given I have no choice but to go there... I will rate and review based upon actual service received once I'm done there. I'm thinking and hoping that whomever ends up giving me the Beauté Santé package (facial+mani/pedi) and massage I'm looking for, will outshine the service received thus far.

Got a spa day package and booked it for the week before Christmas. The changing area is very clean and equipped with robes and slippers, which is much appreciated. The hammam was clean and warm. The relaxation area had refreshing lemon water but it's surrounded by a busy hallway where staff and guests walk by. You can hear doors opening, closing and slamming loudly, making it hard to completely relaxe. Was abruptly startled from time to time which was a little annoying. Had an amazing massage (the massage therapists are extremely qualified, beds and rooms are nice and warm - always satisfied). I finished my day with the most relaxing and cleansing facial. She was very gentle and treated my skin in consequence of my skin type. The only down fall was once again it was very noise near my facial room, there must be staff room near by because I could hear the staff talking, microwaving their meals. You could even hear clients laughing and screaming from the pedicure and manicure area (which is separated by a glass sliding door). All in all the services were amazing but all the noise truly takes away from a relaxing and quiet spa day. I would maybe try scheduling my treatments earlier in the morning next time which might help with the noise and maybe during a less busy time period. Lyne Giroux is till one of my favorite spas in the West Island!

I was visiting friends in Montreal, and "the girls" decided to go to the Aqua Spa Lyne Giroux for a manicure. This spa is lovely- very clean and spacious, with many different amenities. The receptionists welcomed us warmly. Stephanie did a great job on my manicure- in fact, a week has passed and it still looks good! I would definitely recommend this spa.

WARNING!! SERIOUS FUNGUS PROBLEM!! I get a manicure and pedicure every two weeks and have done so for years. I have never had a fungus problem of any kind. Although Lyne Giroux is not my regular spa, I went there because I was given gift certificates to use for my wedding. I went with some family members and was poorly treated from the very first minute. Two of the people who were with me are seniors and were spoken to with such disrespect by the two young girls serving us (Cynthia and Jessie); told aggressively to hurry up and choose their colours, this was followed by several more orders barked at them about the placement of their purses etc. Since I was there for my wedding, I bit my tongue. The entire manicure and pedicure treatment was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Cynthia and Jessie refused to speak to each other, using us to communicate with the other, as though we were all young children, extremely unprofessional. It was later explained to us (in whisper) that Jessie had tried to get Cynthia fired, and they used to be friends, but now they hate each other bla bla bla. They would even tell us not to tip the other, when one of them would step away for a minute. I am an avid traveler and have been to many spas around the world, I have NEVER had such an unprofessional and terrible service in my life. During my pedicure, Cynthia was very rough and I was questioning her technique. She even cut my ring finger (on my left hand!) during the manicure, literally cut a piece of skin off the top of my finger, so I had a big scab at my wedding, she didn't even apologize, and told me to squeeze it till it stopped bleeding. Fast forward to 10 days later when I took the nail polish off, and I had a green toe nail!! Note that I had not been in any type of pool, hot tub, gym, other spas, or any other kind of place during those two weeks where I could have picked up a fungus. I immediately phoned the spa and spoke with the manager Irina, who didn't act surprised at all about the fungus, and offered me a bottle of anti-fungul solution which they sell there. She told me that they would also offer me a pedicure. When I told her I never wanted a treatment from them again, and wanted to be compensated in another way, she told me to come in the next day when Lyne Giroux the owner would be there, and speak to her, cause she would be more likely to do something for me if I spoke to her in person, but told me not to tell the owner that Irina sent me. Unbelievable how the entire staff is unprofessional; backstabbing, secrets and lies. The owner wasn't there when I went in, so I left a message for Irina the manager to call me and follow-up about my compensation, but she never did. For 5 days I called everyday to speak to her, and everyday I was given a different excuse as to why she couldn't come to the phone (once even hearing her in the background, telling the receptionist to tell me - she's going to be busy all day). When I finally got a hold of her, she told me that I should consider myself lucky that they gave me the anti-fungul bottle because their insurance company advised them to stop doing so as it makes them culpable, and thus they are not willing to compensate me in any way. When I asked her why she hadn't called me back, she told me that it had been her birthday, and she got engaged, and she has a life outside of work and can't be expected to return all her calls. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM AQUA SPA LYNE GIROUX!!

I had a spa package at Lyne Giroux Spa and I was extremely disappointed with their services. I've had many facials and spa packages in my life and this was by far the worst!! I contacted Lyne Giroux about the service and I never received a call back or an email. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone looking for a spa day or any services from them!!! I did the Beauty Eclair package; facial, mani and pedi and added a wax as well. The estheticians was grumpy and un-engaging and the manicure was terrible.The facial, that I was most looking forward too, was more of a mini facial and the biggest disappointment! I went into the facial room and it was freezing. The facialist asked if i wanted a warming blanket and the blanket that was on the bed was broken therefore I froze. On top of that, the facial I received was awful. She never consulted me on the different facials they offered or even checked my skin to see what kind of facial was best suited for my skin type. She just lathered whatever she had in the room on my face and the products she used were way too greasy for my skin type. No extractions were done and this was important to me, as I was getting married and I wanted my skin looking its best! The facial lasted 30 minutes of just product layering and then the last 15 minutes was just me lying in the room alone, freezing with a mask on my face. The facial lasted a total of 45 minutes instead of the full hour that I paid for. I never write bad reviews however after not receiving any call or email from management about this, I felt compelled to let others know that they should save their money and go elsewhere!!

I went on Friday with my wife and friends Extremely dirty. Shower floor full of black spots. The floor of the steam room was disgusting. I do not recommend this place. I came back one week after because they call me offering a free visit because I was right the place was extremely dirty. They said that the spa will be clean in my next visit. Just see the photos what I found in my second visit.

Such a snobby place. Didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. I felt judged and laughed at. The waxing wasn’t even done properly. Overpriced and humiliating. I even have $200 in gift cards and I don’t want to go back.

We took my mom here yesterday for her Birthday! Amazing experience in the Hammam, we had it all too ourselves. We almost took the salt baths but the person on the phone was nice enough to mention that as a group the Hammam was a better choice. After that we went in for pedicures, where the seats messages our backs! Manicures followed, and did I mention we had complimentary cappuccinos and teas while getting our nails done! Great experience for all three of us, I only wish I could remember the name of the women who did my nails, she was very nice!

I gave a gift certificate to this spa, she went for a manicure and pedicure, and came out with her feet bleeding and a skin infection. I expected nothing but high quality service, and at the very minimum sterilized tools. When the esthetician was done with her treatment, she put her tools back in her pouch, completely unsterilized. I am appalled that this happened, and feel bad for giving such a terrible gift! Now she is on pain medication and antibiotics, this is disgusting!!!

First time going for a wax here, the appointment felt extremely rushed and am bothered by how unwelcoming the waxer was. She didn't make any efforts of making me feel comfortable. As for the wax itself, not only was it very painful (i've gotten many waxes done before, it was a different kind of pain this time) but I was also left with burn marks from the wax!! I understand that it could be this one waxer who is maybe inexperienced but I won't ever be returning to the spa, at least definitely not for a wax..

I got a gift certificate at my bridal shower and used it to book my first facial. I wanted to have glowing skin for my wedding day and thats exactly what the facialist gave me. The person who gave me the facial did an amazing job! She went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience. Usually I go with my son to Spa Venus for eyebrow and upper lip waxing but they are on renovation. We went for waxing and I didn't catch her name ( it's an Indian lady). When I saw her (she was late 10 minutes) I almost wanted to leave because she has done my waxing legs and bilibi one time a while ago and was awful, left all redness, not clean with oil, didn't used powder for sensitive skin and she is not at all attentive. With my son the same redness, she dropedr hot wax in his eye and he made a light allergies that stayed 3 days.

I've been coming in every month for a massage for over a year. I stuck to the first esthetician I got scheduled with because she was wonderful at what she did. Calling in and scheduling an appointment is always a smoothe and easy process. When I come in for my appointment, the girls at the front (not all of them are always, but most of them are most of the time) warm and welcoming. The massage service's price is a little bit on the steeper end, but it's not quite unreasonable for the quality and atmosphere at this Spa.

I've only been twice but I personally had an amazing experience at this spa. I once went for a massage and it was really nice, plus the staff was very friendly... On a second occasion I went as I had been given a gift of a spa day with prenatal massage, Mani pedi & facial. Again as the time before, the staff was friendly, and all services were wonderful. I actually went on a relatively busy day for my spa day (it was around the holidays), but I still felt that they took their time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Update: I have to say although I enjoyed all my other services, I went for a wax and really didn't like my experience. The girl, Jessie, does not have good customer service at all, and she did an awful job! I've been getting waxed for over a decade and never had such a painful experience, Ian's sloppy, plus her room was not very clean and she was not friendly. The spa should really pay attention to that. I hate giving bad reviews and singling people out, but my experience was really not good! I dropped my review to 3 stars because of it. I will never get waxed there again that's for sure!
