For years I have been going to the same hairdresser whom I love but we moved to Hespeler and because of my work schedule and the distance I needed to see someone closer. I drive by Essence every day so I decided give them a call and from the first contact to the beautiful interior to meeting Angel I couldn’t be happier to entrusting my challenging hair. As a whole. Essence is a fair sized salon located in the heart of hespeler. I ended up here after my stylist moved to the location and I definitely have fallen in love with all they offer. Along with being a judgment free salon. (I am a guy who has had his makeup done there and received nothing but compliments!) This salon houses a variety of individually talented stylists who can bring to life almost any hair idea you have! From funky to natural. From glamorous to cute. As well as the hairstyling side. They also offer a variety of spa services with their own bubbly and enthusiastic individual running those services. The reception friendly and the interior is welcoming and gorgeous. They do an amazing job as well holding up sanitization standards pertaining to covid-19. Overall, the place is a gem of a salon and is recommend it to anyone seeking a great salon!

My incredibly talented stylist Melanie Cordeiro is a gem and so amazing and skilled. Her skills are out of this world. The owner and her sister are incredible and so welcoming and make you feel part of their family. The excellence is beyond your imagination from the wonderful receptionist to every single amazing, lovely and beautiful stylist! Went to this salon twice while growing out my natural salt & pepper hair to get my coloured ends trimmed. Was quite happy with the results both times. Unfortunately, didn't return as the stylist that I visited dm'ed me on Instagram saying that she was "taking on a different role in the salon" & would no longer cut my hair in the future. (The hair stylist still does hair at this salon, so not sure what this "different role" is) I wouldn't suggest this salon if you're embracing your natural hair colour. Sad, because many women are changing the way they think about covering their gray. I wonder if they mind colouring woman's hair gray or silver? Most likely not because of the money they can make doing so.

I just had my hair styled and coloured at Essence.Angel was the stylist who did my hair, she was awesome, professional,friendly and made me feel very comfortable as this was my first time going to this salon. The salon has a really nice atmosphere and all the staff seem really great. I am so happy to have found Essence and it is now my go to salon, already have my next appointment booked. They offer many spa services there and I am looking forward to trying them all.

Edit: Still coming to see Chantelle after all these years. Even after all the stress if covid it is still a welcoming friendly and fun atmosphere. Absolutely love this salon. The staff is always friendly and it is a great atmosphere. I see Chantelle and would never go anytime else.

I’ve been going to Melanie and she always did a great job, but she left. This time i went to Angel and oh my god , this girl Gave me a headache for days. She pulled on my hair in every direction. I loved essence but I will not be going back. And the audacity to tell me my hair is being pulled because she is cutting it in a certain way lol. I didn't ask you to do that . I am 28 this is not my first haircut.
