This is a really nice spa. All of the massage therapists are quite good but Felix is amazing. After more then 20 years of massages all over the world I would say Felix is my favourite. He is strong, skilled, intuitive and detail oriented. Each massage is incredible and he has a variety of techniques. I always feel so much better after our apt.

The owner Dawn is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and you can tell she is truly passionate about her business, and she really goes above expectations for her clients and cares about their experience. My friend and I came to relax and enjoy a facial and pedicure. The facial was pre booked and they said they had time for pedicures when we arrived. The facial was great and I really enjoyed it. However, the pedicure was not. My friend and I both felt it was over priced and not worth it. 4 Days later my toe is still hurting as the tech cut my nail too short and cut my skin, the overall pedicure experience was not up to par and no where near as nice as a pedicure at a cheaper nail salon. I would suggest the facial but stay away from the pedicures and go to another salon!

I went here for my first facial. It was a very calming experience. The lady was very polite and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I loved the way my skin felt after as Calgary is known to dry out your skin. The facilities are overall very clean and quiet.

Manicure and Pedicure weren’t great. Loved the colour choices however my shellac started peeling off within one day. The top coat was all over my cuticule and skin which lifted and peeled almost immediately after leaving. Poor shaping and cuticle trimming as well. Extremely dissapointing as it was very expensive. Won’t be going back or recommending for manicure or pedicure. Facial and massage were lovely though.

This place has lived up to expectations and other reviews. My Mrs has experienced the oxygen Facial, therapeutic and a deep tissue massage. I've been visiting Crystal for massages for over a year now. She is in tune with what I need, varying pressure/techniques based on how bad the back/shoulder is that day. I was a bit nervous coming here as I’ve had bad experiences with spa’s before. However, everyone here was professional but very welcoming and friendly. I felt relaxed. I have social anxiety so sometimes interacting with spa staff can take away the relaxing feel a spa is supposed to give, but everyone made me feel so relaxed the whole time. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

There are tons of locations for massage, wellness and spa. Some high end. Some not. From the very first time I visited Moyo a few years back, I was impressed. Service, quality and friendliness. While I don’t remember who assisted me the first time for my massage, I give kudos to Dawn and her team. This time around, I was booked with Karen for my body treatment and all I can say is...wow. Karen took care of me, was super friendly and ensured I was comfortable, relaxed and happy. Upon completion of my body treatment, Courtney was assigned as my therapist for my hot stone massage and I have never had such an amazing massage like I did today. She took her time. Stones were hot yet soothing. Music was tranquil. Sound was soothing and Courtney made sure all stress areas were focused on. Even after, she took time to massage my neck as she sensed tension. At the end, I walked away impressed, relaxed, energized and rejuvenated. I cannot say enough about Dawn, who greeted me when I first walked, got my slippers and put my feet in. The staff she has l cared for me as a client and had smiles all the time. The spa aura was relaxing, tidy, clean and very well maintained. I’ve been to many different places, each failing in one shape, way or form but Moyo has my loyalty. I’ll be back to see Karen and Courtney. And if anyone is reading the negative reviews, ignore them. They’re non relevant. My sincere gratitude to all of you. See you soon...

Use to be our regular go to spot for a great relaxing massage. However, they've made it clear that our business was no longer important to them when they cancelled on us twice and then tried to charge us a cancellation fee when we had to cancel on them for being sick. When we insisted on them waiving the 50% cancellation fee, Dawn agreed but asked us to find a new establishment instead of understanding that we were trying to prevent the spread of our illness. My wife & I were going to this place as much as 6 times a year for the last 2 years. Just really disappointed.

Very clean and relaxing environment, I seen Felix for a massage as I had tons of knots in my back and shoulders from a recent surgery. He was amazing and knew exactly the spots that needed to be released. Everyone is very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Tons of products and all decently priced for sure! I have been going to Holly for years and she is simply the best! I suffer for chronic neck pain and headaches and after my massages I have so much more mobility in my neck and my headaches are way less frequent. I’ve sent lots of my friends and family to Holly and they all think she does fantastic work. I recommend Holly to anyone especially if you suffer from chronic pain or injury!

Moved to the area and been here for a massage a few times now as it's nice and close. I've had a couple different therapists the times I've gone and they all did a great job. Holly on the other hand stood out a bit more, she has magic hands to get into every crevice of my tiny back and body and I felt she deserved a special shoutout the times I've seen her. Will need to try the other nail and facial services sometime too. All in all, it's such a treat whenever I've gone to Moyo Spa.

My husband previously left a five-star review only 11-months ago as this was our go-to spot for massages. Today, we called to cancel our appointment due to us coming down with the flu and were told by the owner, Dawn Schaller, that we would be on the hook for a cancellation fee. When I pointed out that Dawn had cancelled on us twice before with only half hours’ notice due to massage therapists being sick, she insisted she was sticking to her policy and charging the fee. After a couple more minutes of discussion, she ultimately agreed to waive the fee, but told us to find a new spa. I am disgusted at the level of service provided by Moyo Spa and it’s owner, Dawn Schaller. Their cancellation policy is totally one-sided and their view on customer relationships is short sighted. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment over the past two years. I recall at one point the billing for our file was all over the place and nobody could tell us how much we owed or had on credit. I worked with Dawn to reconcile their billing statements and actually pointed out to her that Moyo had forgotten to charge us for a massage and went in to settle the bill. I never even received a thank you, but didn’t worry about it because I loved the massage therapist I had been seeing regularly. I used to refer this place to everyone I knew, but now I will be telling them to stay away.

Pos: excellent massage, good facial, friendly people who would happily hold a conversation or maintain a comfortable silence. The decor is soothing, with an interesting sinuous layout preventing rooms from being directly opposite. A delicious fresh salad from Earls next door is part of the half day spa experience but it felt a little strange eating lunch while having a pedicure. Neg: it's lucky the treatment tables are heated and they provide covered massage, meaning one is covered by sheets and a comforter except for the part being massaged. Ambient temperature felt around 18-19°C, which I found chilly during the pedicure & manicure. The (otherwise very nice) lady who did my mani/pedi, accidentally trimmed one of my toenails down to the quick, that's still sore. I also re-shaped my fingernails once i got home as I'm not a fan of the more blunt/square shape favoured currently. I did explain my preference and showed her my preferred shape, as demonstrated by the shape of my nails going in, but she fell back on a slightly rounder than normal square shape. I was also disappointed by a perceived discrepancy from the website, which suggests if one doesn't want nail polish (I didnt) nails could be buffed. As anyone knows who has a nail buffing kit, this is a four-stage process finishing with a superfine grain board that leaves a high gloss. Instead she "finished off" the basic manicure, post shaping and maintenance, with what I estimate to be a stage 3-2 board, that left my nails smooth but matt. This is typically the last stage before applying liquid nail polish. So, basically, I got half a normal manicure. Personally, I will be going back for massage but that's about it.

The workers are all helpful and courteous and the massage therapists are all knowledgeable and take great care in helping give what their clients are looking for. First off I want to say I was so excited to try this spa and was super happy when I received a gift certificate from my husband for a Half Day Retreat. I am a frequent spa goer and love to support local businesses. Pros-the spa itself is beautifully decorated and uses some nice products. Their facials use all natural products. The spa itself is very well kept. My massage was great and this is where they seem to get most of their business. A healthy chicken salad was provided as part of the package which was a nice extra. Areas of improvement-I didn't find their receptionist overly friendly or welcoming when I entered the spa. There was no hi welcome to Moyo...can I get you a glass of water etc. Just a simple do you have an appointment? Their facial was just okay. The products were nice however not everything was explained. Every spa does their facials differently and quick rundown would have been great. And they don't use a steam machine for extractions just a hot cloth. Their nail technician who did my mani/pedi was very nice but it seemed to take an extremely long time. The polish they use is supposed to dry super fast (within 10 mins) but for some reason my nails weren't. So she had to put it them under the UV light to let them dry a bit as they were still tacky. Another nail technician saw my nails under the UV light and told the owner and receptionist that I had gotten shellac. And I had to correct them saying I didn't get shellac. This was a little off putting that they tried to charge me for a service I didn't receive. There was also no apology for their mistake, just a oh okay. Advice to mgmt- ensure the technician who actually did the work is the one that advises you whether or not the client actually got the upgraded service. This package was $320 and to be honest I am not sure the price is worth the services received. There are much more affordable home spas that provide the same level of services if not better for cheaper. Or for that price you might as well go downtown to Still Water or the Spa Ritual where the service is impeccable. It is really unfortunate but I don't think I would be back.

Dawn had been the best massage therapist I've ever had. Her experience shows in her technique, she knew just how to make my body feel well again. It was a sad day for me when I found out she had left Lakeside. Krystle was also at Lakeside and I soon felt relaxed under her care. Soon after Krystle also left and I just could find anyone that could compare to either. Well almost 4 years later I can't tell you how happy I was to find Dawn had opened her own spa and even more suprised when I saw Krystle was working here as well. Moyo Spa is very nicely done, with a relaxing waiting area and a very friendly receptionist. I highly recommend Moyo Spa to anyone wanting a great massage and spa experience!

Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Very relaxing. Everyone on staff is friendly and welcoming. My family was out from Vancouver for Christmas. I booked my mom there for a massage. She was so happy with the treatment that my sister and brother in law booked in for the next day. Dawn the owner is very professional and skilled as an RMT. My sister noted the pedicure was one of the best she has had. I have a bad back and neck from an office job and when it is at its worst I go see Dawn and she is able to get rid of the knots and kinks. Great choice if you are looking for both a great healing and spa experience.

Dawn and Makenna are both amazing and talented RMTs (my two favourites!). I’ve yet to have anything less than a positive experience with their team. Both Dawn and MaKenna know how to deal with muscle injuries so that they heal and communicate well. I can’t recommend them highly enough! The Mindbody app is easy to schedule an appointment and their service is awesome. So glad they’re part of my neighbourhood. Do yourself a favour and book in at Moyo!

Booked an appointment and nobody showed up. The doors were locked as if they were not opened. We waited for 10 minutes and left. This was the second time the same thing happened to me. The first time Dawn called me back and offered me a free session for the mix up. This time, not even an apology or anything. Very disappointing of the way business is run here. We gave it a second chance and now we definitely are certain that we will take our business elsewhere. I would not recommend this place unless you have time to waste and sit around for no shows from your RMT.

Absolutely stunning spa. All the stuff are very nice and helpful. The massage therapist are all very knowledgeable and make sure you are always comfortable. Moyo has a lot of therapists so depending on what type of massage you are looking for wether it be deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone... and the list goes on you are always happy with the massage you receive. The spa is clean and well taken care of. I would and do recommend this spa to anyone. I live a 20-25 minute drive away and it is definitely worth the long drive.

I visited Moyo Spa for the first time this morning and my experience was fabulous! As soon as I stepped into the foyer, I felt relaxed. The decor is tranquil and inviting and the space was very clean. My facial with Dawn was excellent. She explained each product she put on my face and was attentive to my sensitive eye area. After putting the mask on my face, she didn't leave the room (this is a huge pet peeve of mine). Instead, she gave me the best arm, neck and shoulder massage! I will be making regular visits to Moyo Spa now that I've found this gem.
