Well I was very desapointed this time. This was terrible service experience ever I have at the spa. I went there to relax and have my facial done, but I got a sales person. I spent so much money for nothing. They were just talking about the product during my relaxing???? Facial??? And at the end they ask me. Are you going to give any tips? Really tips??? But I did give anyway.

Went there for the first time today. Professional yet warm. Explained procedure in detail. Hand and leg massage along with facial was a pleasant surprise. All work done with hand...no use of steam or any other equipment. Was advised how to take care of skin and thankfully not pushed to buy any product which normally happens in other salon. Will see how long the impact stays and then plan the next visit or may take membership also :)

I have been a skoah member for a year or so now and it is hands down the best thing I did for my skin. I have extremely acne prone skin and my skoah regime is the only thing that helps. Staff here is amazing.

I’m a Skoah member and was extremely disappointed in my experience here on Sunday. If you can avoid this location at all costs - do so. The facial started a little late, but was still good. Only thing was it was followed by a terrible choice in music - not soothing whatsoever. I could hear all the mall traffic through the music that was playing in the speakers. Probably 15 minutes into my 75 minute facial, the business next door (some jean store) started blasting music for the remainder of my facial. It was impossible to relax, it was louder and clearer than the music in the room I was in and the bass was impossible to try and ignore. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I would never complain and told myself I just would never go back but they texted me to follow up on the appointment and I just think they don’t have good customer service and had to share. I would say go to a different location if you can. Skoah Lonsdale is the best.

I was in desperate need of a facial and called Skoah Metrotown and managed to get a last minute appointment . Fortunately they had an opening for an xtreme facial. This did not disappoint. Sally was an amazing esthetician, so friendly and good at her job. Great pressure in her massage techniques. My skin left feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Can't wait to go back again!

This is the first time I go to this place. Great service! The ladies there were very nice and not pushy at all. I really like the way my skin feels after the facial I received. Service can be expensive thou, but I do feel a difference in my skin.

She knew that skin is different for everyone and she catered the treatment and recommendations according to my skin. *edit* The manager emailed me after my previous visit 2 weeks later, mind you I have not actually actively complained to the store regarding my facial. She took initiative to seek out unhappy customers and I think this was definitely worth speaking about. Well she inquired a both why I was so disspointed and arranged for another facial (same one as the previous one) free of charge. This time she personally paired me up with a skin trainer that matched my needs. This skin care trainer -Kristen- was AMAZING, I have been very impressed with her skills as she did everything I requested. My skin felt like a million dollars after leaving. She also did offer some alternatives to my current skin care regime and respected that I wasn't using all of the Skoah products. I would definately visit again. *** Not to confuse anyone... The following is my highlight of the previous poor experience. Skoah has definately redeemed themselves following this experience. I was very disappointed in my facial. This visit to Skoah was not what I expected it to be. I visited Skoah before at other locations but not Metrotown. It was clean, and the staff were courteous, but that was all I found that was a plus in my book. Before my visit , I clearly asked on the phone that I wanted somebody to do extractions, and again I mentioned it before the facial to the therapist. When we got started, I mentioned it again that it was very important for me to get extractions, which was purely the only reason I was visiting. During the facial she did some extractions but there was no way I could tell what and how she was doing. She pointed out to a few areas and said it's best to not extract the areas I wanted because it was going to scar and that there wasn't alot to extract, the reason that my face looked so congested was because of inflammation. I have this one particular spot on my bridge of my nose between my eyebrows that could use a fair bit of extracting. I know because when I squeezed it a bit at home there was gunk coming out of it, I thought going to get a facial I would have that taken care of once and for all but this pacticular area remained untouched as well as a few areas I specifically asked to be extracted. I was told it wasn't a clogged pore, it was inflammation in these area with a little bit of pus. Instead I was told to buy a near $50 dollar bottle of Klarity Lotion to help spot treat them. I bought it nonetheless and diligently put it on day and night for two weeks. Fast forward to weeks.... The one clogged pore not only did not heal but when I brushed against it started peeling, and revealed a small hole. I gently squeezed and it released all the gunk that was inside out, and the bump deflated. I know my skin and that would have been easily resolved if it had been extracted like I had asked. I am now two weeks post facial, and the Klarity lotion that I bought was supposed to decrease inflammation and resolve all the congested area on my chin and forehead. It did not do its job, i now have more acne than ever on my once congested problem areas than ever, the facial this time from Metrotown skoah was unsatisfactory, the skin therapist did not listen to me, but instead kept trying to sell me a product and educate me as if I don't know anything about skin care. I JUST wanted an extraction and some soothing masks. Don't get me wrong, I have a few fave products from skoah such as the AHA mask, and the kick it cream but this skoah failed big time this time.

I called the Metrotown location at 1230pm on October 23rd, 2019 to schedule a facial. There was a spot available for 5pm so I took it. I gave the receptionist my number, name and email since it was my first appointment with them. Everything was fine until the end of the conversation, I asked which stores are close by so I have some reference as to where I’m going when I arrive to the mall. Her response was “you can google it online.” Lol, keep your 20$ off first service. And here’s to me googling it.

I was in a hurry to get a facial since I had an impromptu event the next day. I decided since I was already at the mall I'd try out their facial since they had a pretty good deal on the first one. Once I got there, the front desk wasn't very nice. I asked if they were able to extract my breakouts and if not, then I do not want to continue on with the facial. The lady did not even care to look at my skin but instead said that they were still going to charge me if I cancel. First off, I just booked an hour ago, also I was never told this on the phone. So right there, I was disappointed. To top it off, they did not use any machines and did not extract my pores like I asked. I personally felt it was a waste of money and would not recommend. Go somewhere else and get an actual good facial.

Because of covid, I haven’t been to Skoah for a facial for a while. Now I wish I went more often even during covid. The spa was very clean and every room was sanitized thoroughly before they brought us in. I had booked an appointment for their Summer Glow Facial for my friend and I to celebrate her birthday. It was such a treat. I had Jimena and she was so pleasant. She asked me what my skin concerns were and was able to address them. She was gentle with her extractions and was cleared with each step she was doing for me. She was friendly and a great conversationalist but also gave me time to relax when I needed. At the end of the session I was sad that it was ending but super excited to see my face as it felt balanced and moisturized! And it was!! I came out feeling new and “glow-y”. I can’t wait for my next session!

5 stars for the service. Two problems: one, you can hear hubbub from the mall and music from the store next door. Apparently even facials aren't relaxing when spa music is competing with techno beats on the other side of the wall. Two, they package all of their products in plastic rather than tin or glass. Maybe they didn't get the memo that we're in a climate crisis? I'm adding on to this by adding a response to the spa's reply. Obviously I use a fake last name on the internet. If you want to make things better, soundproof your walls and move away from plastic, I don't need to message you for you to take initiative.

facial place using no machines all done by hand -I loved it!!!! I went to this skoah location as they had a good deal for a first time facial. I was running a few minutes late and was worried I would not make it, Since when I booked my appointment the same day I was told about there cancellation policy; if I did not arrive to my appointment I would be charged a fee, which is understandable. When I got there a few minutes late front desk was so nice they offered me water or tea and assured me that I would still get my full service done. I read all about skoah online first before booking the appointment which is common sense to do your research first about a place you will entrust with your face!!! I did my research and found that massage is the best type of natural stimulation for the skin which makes sense if you are looking for a more natural form of up keep for your skin. The facial lived up to my expectations, they do not use any machines which is wonderful for me seeing as that there are so many places popping in the city promoting High tech technologies that "help the skin", injections and fillers which is not my style nor is it healthy for the body - I do not wish to be zapped, plumped up or filled to look generic like some women do in this city. I wanted extractions and my pores deep cleaned, they did it by hand which I appreciated since in the past I have had extractions done that irritated my skin. It was nice to have a facial that was so personable and the massage was so lovely too. Definitely worth my money and I will go back again soon!!!
